Many thanks diesel. I cannot remember ever having an administrator password. Looks like I shall have to do a restore on my PC and not bother with the updates. Or maybe I could find my password from somewhere ? When I went into control panel I found a box with administrator and my name and it said password protected so I must have had one at some time. Any ideas on how I could find it ? Many thanks anyway. I always use a password to sign on but obviously that is not it. Eileen

I have 302 events in my iPhoto but only 14 are visible. Any idea what has happen to the rest?

I went to go look for my photos from Venice and realized that all of my events were gone except my photo streams. On the left hand side in iPhoto it tells me that I have Events (302), but only 14 show up. Also tells me that I have iPhotos (1,485), which a lot of are not showing up. I am only able to view my photo streams.

What happened before this problem occurred? Have you moved your iPhoto library? Run any cleaning/duplicate remover apps? Shared the library with another account?
Have you checked, if the search field at the bottom of the iPhoto window is cleared? If this search field is not empty, fewer events and photos will show.

The Time Capsule has a defective power supply and it needs to be exchanged as soon as possible. Soon, you will not be able to power it back up at all after it shuts down.
Take the Time Capsule to an Apple Store, if you have one near you, or contact Apple Support to get the process started.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

I want to download I get an error message from Windows Explorer saying that the page cannot be displayed

Maybe you're using Internet Explorer for downloading the files. Try to use a download manager like NetVampire (www.netvampire.com) or Getright.

I have a MacBook Pro with Lion Preinstalled, so AHT was present on the hard disc and worked when the product was new. One of the first things I did from new was run AHT and it worked fine. But now it doesn't start - instead the machine (eventually) boots into normal OS X.

Thanks. However, even with an internet connection that doesn't work for me - the machine just (after an extended delay) boots normally. It doesn't download.
Option-D works for an Internet-based AHT. However that only works with an internet connection. It doesn't seem to download it and install it - it needs internet every time.
Any idea how my local copy of AHT disappeared? I haven't repartitioned the drive or knowingly deleted anything. And how do I reinstate it (because if you need AHT your hardware problems may preclude internet access!)?

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1024 MB
The video file was a .mov file from a Canon 7D. Essentially I downloaded Adobe Premiere CC 2014, downloaded the update because I tried to open up an older project and then imported one movie file.
Playback from all windows didn't work. But after I tried to change settings in the preferences as 'RoninEdits' suggested but I ended up just searching around and didn't change anything. I stepped away for a second to check on my cookies in the oven and when I came back press play and the video now works. Any idea what happen?
I'm not sure what happen but I'll continue monitoring this issue. I'll touch base if I run into the problem again.

TS3276 Mail app is starting to substitute content from older emails instead of the content I'm actually sending. Any idea what's happening?

I upgraded to Mavericks about 6 weeks ago. Starting 2 weeks ago when I send an email and check in the "sent" folder that it has been sent I notice that the content has been substituted. Instead of what I just wrote the sent email contains content from an older unrelated email. Any idea what's going on and especially what I can do about it?

During regular browsing and normal activity Firefox freezes and crashes Happens all the time. Everything is up to date and i belive the lug ins are also current. not sure what the issue is.

Mozilla have pathetic support, they suggest you reboot Firefox. That's great advice when you may be doing some major work and you lose all the sites you are working across. Their CEO needs slapping, no customer support.

When I try to email documents from my iPad 2 it appears to send but never shows up in my sent box or in the receiver's email account. this has only been happening since the last update for my ipad. How can this be corrected?

When I "share" documents from Pages or GoodReader via email It looks and sounds like documents have been sent but they never arrive and when I check my "sent" file, they aren't there. Very frustrating! I know I've sent them this way before and it worked so wondering if it's something to do with the latest updates to 6.1.3

Which email service provider are you using? You can install DropBox and share links to the files that way. When you snd to your self (cc or bcc) do the items show up? What file types and sizes are these attachments? Are you sending over WiFi or cellular connection? Try using more than one email account from a different provider (Gmail, yahoo, iCloud, etc) and see if it is email provider specific.

Accepted the software update and now mail won't open.

Have started getting XUL Runner Error: Platform version '1.9.2.7' is not compatible with minVersion = 1.9.2.8 maxversion = 1.9.2.8.... when Firefox is trying to start... and it doesn't start. Anyone any ideas what has happened?

When I try to start it then nothing happens and eventually the XUL Runner error appears.

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.<br />
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.<br />
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.<br />
