Any known fix for high pitch sound y

Creative, is there any fix for that problem yet?
Many of us have that problem. Its annoying each time rebooting our PC to stop that.
Please, answer us.
Thx

I can copy the mail that i got here but its in Dutch so i don't know i've you can read that. For the people that can read this i will copy the mail below here. For all the other people i suggest you call to the helpdesk and explain the problem then maybe they can help you too.

  • Any known fixes for these rendering errors?

So I took over a project of a previous video editor for work and this project is having errors rendering.   There are 2 Premiere Pro Projects, A and B.  I'm trying to render out about 9 sequences from each project.  I tried using AME, but It hung on reading XMP.  Once I got it past XMP it will just crash at 00:09 seconds of elapsed time every attempt.  I tried direct export and that also failed, but went considerably longer (usually at least 40%).  I'm using h.264 VBR2.  I tried CBR and VBR one pass as well.  All of the sequences seem to be crashing at some point when direct exporting.  Sometimes it will just freeze and not move for hours, other times it will say "Error Compiling Movie" after it's most of the way complete.  I am using multiple monitors and GPU acceleration.  I'm having all of these errors on both projects.  All of the sequences are very similar to each other.  I tried making every image roughly 2000px and below.  Video files are MTS 1280x720p AVCHD.

    Hello,
I encountered the same troublewith PP CS6+ Encore CS6 and fixed it as follows :
    - 1) before export to Encore CS6, back up the project in Premiere and leave Premiere Pro opened,
    - 2) import the séquences in Encore WHILE PP CS6 is still opened,
-- 3) when import is finished use the "Encoding with AME"
    - 4) launch the encoding, in my case this worked normally, but if it does not work untick "Encode with AME".
This solution worked normally with my system.
I am sorry to write this but the Adobe support was unable to give any assistance for this trouble.
    Good luck

  • Trying to install Mountain Lion on macbook. It keeps telling me that I'm using my HD for time machine backups and won't install. Any known fixes for this?

I have tried everything I know (which is not a whole lot) to circumvent this issue, but I can't get the install process to understand my HD is not my time machine backup.

    Hello:
Go to system preferences>time machine and move the slider to off.

My iPad makes a high low high tune every fifteen to twenty minutes, anyone know of this and have a fix for this annoying sound.

    I Also have this problem!!
In my situation, the screen simply started exhibiting the same symptoms a few weeks ago (early February) for no apparent reason.  At first I thought the screen was dead, but discovered the heat solution by accident.  Now I turn it on and keep it from going to sleep until I go to bed.  Thank goodness the battery is still awesome on this thing.
I bought it new and still has the original screen, I keep it at home (never below 62 degrees).  Coincidentally, this happened a day or two after the expiration of the warranty!!  Any help figuring this one out would be eternally appreciated.

  • High Pitch Sound from iMac '11?

    Hello everyone,
I purchased the mid '11 iMac model and am now hearing a high pitch sound which fluctuates when I change the screen brightness.
Is this a known problem; is it big enough of a problem that Apple will fix when still under warranty?

You shouldn't be hearing a high pitch sound. You should take the iMac in for evaluation, but first verify that you don't have another other equipment attached that might be contributing to the issue. My recommendation is to try disconnecting the iMac from any surge strips or backup power (UPS) supplies to see whether the issue still occurs. I would also disconnect any external peripherals, USB/FW devices, speakers or audio equipment that you have attached.

  • Satellite L505-14D, high pitch sound

When I turn up the volume above 40 there is a high pitch sound. This is even when Im not running any programs that generate sound.
Its a sound like when you have your mic to close to the speaker. I tried to deactivate the mic but without result. The drivers is up to date as well.
Dont know how to fix this....
Any one know or recognize this problem?

    Thanks for your reply Andrej!
I tried setting the brightness to max but nothing changed. As soon as i pass volume 36 the sound comes back, and gets louder if I continue to increase the volume.
No one else has this problem or heard about it?

  • OSS makes very high-pitched sound when turned on

I recently replaced ALSA with OSSv4 on my Arch install. The sound quality is much clearer, but when I start OSS it makes an extremely loud high-pitched sound.
I have determined that the sound is coming from input-mix, and I have temporarily solved the problem by checking "input-mix-mute" in ossxmix, but sometimes the mixer settings do not get applied when I boot, and I am forced to shut down my laptop to stop the sound. Do you have any idea why input-mix would be outputting this noise? I would really like to get rid of this problem.

Quick update - I brought my iMac to an Apple Store, and they identified the logic board as a probable culprit, suggesting a complete swap of the logic board for a cost of >1000 chf (700 USD) - so for now, I haven't fixed it but bought a electrical socket that I can turn off, which (sort of) fixes the problem.
Unfortunately 2 weeks later the screen decided to give up working, flickering and then pitch-black. Numerous phone calls and store visits later the ony option I'm given is again to replace the logic board. As the unit is over 2 years old and I did not purchase AppleCare, that leaves me between an expensive fit or buying a new one...

  • High pitched sound - something to do with internal microphone ??

Suddenly my Powerbook has started emitting a high pitched sound through its speakers. You know one of those high frequency ear-blowing sounds when a PA system is being set up and the mic is getting tested and the amp's turned up too loud?
I'm not sure exactly what I was doing when it started, but I think I was making or receiving a telephony call via iChat. During or just after the connection process (which didn't work for some reason but that could've been a problem at the other end), this high pitched squeal started. I can get rid of it by turning down the output volume - the squeal disappears but that of course turns all other output sound down as well. The sound disappears when the volume is turned down about half way.
But...even if the sound is turned down half way, if I put my hand over the left speaker, the sound comes back. No sound comes back if I place hand over right speaker. I assume then that the inbuilt microphone is under the left speaker area, and this has something to do with the inbuilt mic.
The only other thing that's happened in recent times is that I used this Powerbook's audio line-in port to record some sound from an audio casette recently. I used Audio Recorder 2.0 for this. I can't imagine this has been the cause, but thought I'd better mention it. If I go into the Sound Preference panel, I can stop the squeal by changing the sound input device from internal microphone to Line In.
Anyone have a clue as to why this is happening and how iit can be fixed?
    Many thanks, Steven

Hey, great suggestion Burn. It prompted me to look at iChat preferences, since that was the only application that I've had open which might engage the internal microphone.
Within iChat Preferences, I clicked on the 'Video' icon, and for the 'Microphone' setting I saw that 'None selected' (or something like that - that option has gone now?) was in place. So I changed the setting to Internal Microphone. The whistle or screech was still there. Then I changed the setting to 'Line In'. No more screech!!
A good result, but is this the way it's supposed to be? Does having the setting as 'Line In' mean that I have to plug headphones in whenever I want to use iChat for internet telephony? Unless I manually change to Internal Microphone, but then I suffer screeching again?
    Cheers, Steven

  • Macbook Pro and high-pitch sound, please help!

    Hello,
I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch that is almost brand new. I just got it 3 months ago for my birthday. About a month or two with my new computer I started hearing a high-pitch sound comming from the computer. The sound only lasts about 3-6 seconds and it goes of at random times. It might make the noise 5 times in one day but then it might go away for 3 days, totally random. The sound comes if the computer is sitting there or is being used. After about 3 months of this going off I deceided to bring it to the Apple store in New Haven, CT. Does anyone have the same problem?
After bringing my computer in and telling them the problem, they tested in for about 30 minutes. Everything was fine. No fan problem or hardrive problem. I brought the computer back home and within 3 days the sound is back. I drove to the Apple store again told them my problem, again, and they did they same test with no results. Brought it back home, noise is still there. This time im starting to get angry, they arent offering any solution. I bring it back and they take it for about 48 hours and do a extensive check. Nothing was found. I bring it home again and the noise is still there. My father and I went to Apple pretty angry and told them that we appreciate the time they take but something really needs to be done. They have sent it out for 3-5 days and we are awating a phone call to see whats wrong.
I am hoping that they find something or if they dont can they can replace my computer? I am not spending hours of my own time and gas money going back and forth to Apple for no reason..the Genius bar guys have been no help telling us basically that we are lying and that there is nothing wrong when clearly there is. What can I do? Has anyone had this same noise come from their computer? I really appreciat everyone that decideds to throw some input in. Thank you so much.

Make a recording of the sound so the next time you take it in you can let them hear it. It might be best to do a video of the unit so the sound is combined with pictures/video of the computer so they know  the sound is coming from it.
IMHO the guys at the B-bars are just about useless for this type of thing. If it isn't a bad drive, HDD or DVD, and the system seems to run OK (actually even if it doesn't run OK but runs at all) they will say "Everything looks OK". Or if the thing is dead they can help. That help will be "You need a new HDD" "You need a new DVD drive" "You need a new Logic board" and that's about it.

    just got RMAed 4890 back
it's making high pitch sound whever I start gaming
did have this before RMA, when it was working
I remember this sound from back in the nvidia 7xxx/8xxx series, remember reading somewhere it was normal for cap to make this kind of sound?
    not sure....

That sound can happen on video cards and is usually generated by some coil on the card when the card si heavy loaded .I have it on my 4850 and in 3D Mark 03 on my 5770.Never had it on my previous Nvidia cards though. You can have that with your PSU too.If your card is performing ok don t worry about it.Try and use V-Sync ON in driver control panel ,it may fix the anoying sound ,at least in some games.

  • *Possible* SOD / High Pitch Sound

i know i posted this in another post as a reply allready but i though maybe other people could find this thread better this wayif any mods see this as a double post or what not delete the other one... it may not be a fix so im not gonna shout it out yet...but it seemed that everytime i tested my card and had the SOD i forgot to do thing...my chassis has a frontpanel with 2 USB ports Firewire port and frontpanel audiosince the card has no option to put the FP Audio on the Card itself i left it connected to my mainboardi did however turn off my onboard sound in the BIOS but to no avail still the SODthis morning i kinda figured this out (didnt really think about the FP audio in the first place)and pulled the connector from my mainboardi reinstalled the card, drivers and programs and updated them with the update util.and so far i have not had the SOD yet... but it's only been a few hours since so i'll give it a day or 2 to see if it stays away, and post here again if it does or does not return before that time?to make a long story short:if you have a Front panel audio on ur chassis... and it is still connected to your motherboarddisconnect it because its not working if u turn ur onboard audio off anywayi really hope some people can give me feedback if they tried this allready and such though.Message Edited by generalm3 on 08-5-200708:04 AM

  • Computer freezes, then a low-volume, high pitch sound

    Hello there,
My trusty 2002 MDD is randomly freezing on me for the 1st time! Disk Warrior nor Disk Utility form external boot-ups detect anything wrong. Thus, it doesn't seem to be a hard drive issue. Memory status on System Profiler checks OK.
Once the beach ball appears I can't do anything but press the power button to shut it down. I've noticed that while frozen a very low-volume, high pitch sound can be heard. ???
Thanks a lot for any feedback that you may provide,
    Jacobo

    Hatter,
Thanks for the prompt reply. Like you proposed, I've started from my FW drive (not after a freeze though) and everything drive-related checks OK.
Yes, my video card (Radeon 9800) does have a fan. I've though about this and the PSU as well. The latter is the quieter, less powerful one.
My drives are less than a year old and seem to be OK.
I’ve run Applejack (w/ memory check) and all is good.
Can the Apple Diagnostic CD pinpoint any of these issues?
My MDD has been incredible when it comes to reliability. She has not given me ANY problems whatsoever while stressed to its limits.
    Thanks again for your time,
    Jacobo

  • High pitched sound (not from the speakers)

I bough an A665 on may 21st 2011, and since day 1 ive been hearing a high pitched sound coming from the underside of the laptop (directly above the RAM slots). Sometimes its there and sometimes its not (mostly it is...). I found out that if i scroll down on a webpage the sound goes away...only to come back when im finished scrolling.
    Any ideas?

Update.....I get my laptop back yesterday (friday) for the second time ..They said they replaced the HD with a Western digital HD because the toshiba ones seem to be having a vibration issue...Well, they put another Toshiba HD in it not the WD....The same Buzzing, staticy noise is still there and on top of it all the new HD make alot more clicking noise then the previous one....When I sent the laptop in for the second time, eveything was working fine except for the same Buzzing, staticty noise...Well Now i still get the noise and on top of all that, I can not turn off the LED lights on the keyboard which I was able to do before, I can not run any Toshiba software (IE PC Health, Eco...Etc) I get Bios errors and other errors, and some things are freezing....Spoke to them again, and now had to call the Case Manager,,and all they said is to send it back to their main repair place, not the repair depot.....I told them all i want is another new machine....getting tired going 1 month with out a laptop and all you guys are doing is guessing, replacing with out testing and sending it back and they said they can not replace it.........This is one for the books.....I should of bought the HP or Dell I saw first......to be continued.

  • A very high pitched sound @ startup

Hello and thanks in advance for any leads.
I had a very strange thing happen. At startup there appeared a VERY loud and high pitched sound just at the time menus began appearing on top of the desktop. At first I thought it was the smoke alarm! it was so loud. There has been no new updates or software installed (that I know of...).
It has happened a few times since, and the only common thing I've noticed is that it does this after I've moved my laptop while it's on. Say from the desk to the reading chair in my office (distance of 5ft maybe). If I shut it down at that point and restart later it would do it. I cannot repeat this issue, it's just that the few times it has happened that is the only commonalty.
Is my motherboard, HD, or sound card about to go?
    Thanks!
    Sabah

That's what I was thinking as well, that it is a Hardware issue. I have replaced the sound card on the Pismo about a year or so back, (though, I don't know why it would start acting up now)?
To answer your question, it is a continuous piercing sound (very loud, almost unbearable)!
    Thanks JPL
