Try:
- Going to Settings>wifi and change DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8
- Go to Settings>General>Time & Date abd set to automatic and make sure that he time zone is correct.

Do you have Sidebar ON?
iTunes > View > Show Sidebar.
Connect and select iPhone in iTunes Sidebar under DEVICES, choose the Music tab on the right, select Sync Music and whatever music you the on iPhone. Click Apply (bottom right)

This can sometimes be the result of a faulty/damaaged USB sync cable. Do you have another cable you could test it out with?

Hello everyone, can any one help regarding activation

i have got iphone 4s, i factory unlocked my iphone 4s, but now when ever i put any sim apart from the orignal SIM,it goes on to activation required, then it says Sim not valid , though i get the signal bars at the top, and carrier in SETTINGS->GENERAL->ABOUT-> also changed from orignal carrier to new. I dont know what to do, Can any one help me, i have paid for the factory unlocking to a guy and now that guy is not picking my phone, i dont know what to do.

Ask him... he is not the carrier. ONLY the carrier can authorize unlocking it. There is a process that has to be followed involving restoring the phone after the unlock has been approved. If the phone was hacked at any time prior to requesting a legitimate unlock, it may not be usable at all after attempting to have it legitimately unlocked.

Deleting the "TcpWindowSize" or "GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize" entries in Windows Registry could affect the system's performance with other apps or on their network connections. Deleting the customized TCP/IP settings may require the reinstallation of any third-party applications that had modified the TCP/IP settings from the Windows default settings.
There are two ways to resolve this:
You can follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) , or follow the steps below to manually find and remove TcpWindowSize and MaxGlobalTcpWindowSize entries from the Registry.
For Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7: Go to the C:\Windows folder and launch regedit.
Go to Edit > Find.
Search for "TcpWindowSize" entries. There are typically multiple entries of TcpWindowSize/GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize spread throughout the entire Registry. If "TcpWindowSize" exists, one or more third-party applications have changed the user's default Windows settings for TCP/IP.
Go to File and select Export. This step will export a copy of the Registry that can be used as a backup of the original settings.
Delete the "TcpWindowSize" entry.
Search for the next "TcpWindowSize" entry and delete each one until the Registry no longer has any "TcpWindowSize" entries.
Close Regedit, restart the PC, and test.
If you are uncertain as to why these registry entries exist and the PC is a business computer, contact your network administrator and determine what values TCP/IP can be set in their Windows Registry setting so that the PC can update or restore an iOS device rather than deleting the "TcpWindowSize" entry.
If editing the registry does not resolve the issue, restoring on a different computer that did not install the communication software is the step most likely to resolve this issue.

Go to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings. the connecto to iTunes and restore as a New phone. Do not restore any backup. If the problem persists you have a hardware problem. Take it to Apple for exchange.
This assumes that the phone is not hacked or jailbroken. If it is you will have to go elsewhere on the internet for help.

To elaborate a bit, you may come across offers of a new/unopened/unregistered version, which is the simplest case (you would need a guarantee). Other cases require much detailed information (and a guarantee).
If upgrading to 10.6.8 or higher is an option, you could use CS6.
