Anyone else having this Battery Problem?

My battery is draining when my MBA is fully shut-down ( not just asleep) and unplugged. I turn it off with a 100% charge capacity and depending on how long I leave it it will have anywhere from 80% to empty 0%. Wondering if this is a common problem or unique to mine. I wonder if the people complaining of short run time are actually having this problem... hopefully a little more power in groups so Apple will address if it is a real issue.

Firstly, I love my Macs. I bought my first one 5 months ago, a MBP in November, and am already on my 3rd unit and it has had to visit the Genius 2 times. But I still love the Mac platform ... for a non-computer person, it is a dream. I got the MBA a week after release and am now on my 2nd unit. Like the MBP, I love the computer but they are not perfect and I think the Apple Care is probably going to prove to be an essential purchase.
My 2nd MBA seems pretty good - personally I think the battery charging and run-times are pathetic and I certainly agree with those who say a swappable battery would be nice. Phone tech support was all over the place on the MBA - I called at least 8 times before getting a replacement unit and tech aptitude varied widely - some saying they have had a lot of battery related calls, and others saying that hadn't heard about any battery issues. One tech, who was suppose to be a MBA Specialist took all my information, including mailing address and ended by saying that I definately had a battery issue and that she would overnight me a new battery that day. I told her that was a very nice offer of her, but what will I do with the new battery when I receive it? As well, the Tech at the Genius bar turned the unit over and tried to pop the battery out, he also couldn't find the ports or where to plug in the AC adaptor, so it indicates that these people were not being trained on the MBA. Still, if Apple stays persistant and reins in their quality control and support, they are looking at a great computer.

Anyone else having this strange problem?

my brother bought this ipod mini a little over two years ago. my parents gave him a video one for his birthday and he gave me the mini. it would work perfectly, with no problems, until now. when i try turning it on, all it shows on the screen is the apple logo. and it flashes on and off. then the logo completely disappears forever, unless i press a button. then it comes back and does the same thing over. i tried to reset it but that doesnt respond at all. also if i connect it to the computer, it says charging and shows the battery halfway charged but thats it, it doesnt move from that. any help would be appreciated.

I am having a similar problem. I reset my i pod and connected it to my computer, but there was no response. The computer didnt show the i pod, and my music was never transfered back as it would be usually when you reset the i pod. after forgetting about it for a few days I tried to disconnect the i pod, [it had been charging, with a half full battery icon on the screen for two days] and it immediatly showed the apple, and then a battery exhaustion icon and the screen went blank. I am contemplating getting a new i pod altogether.

I have a IPad Air and when I download a game from Big Fish games I can not open the game to play . I have tried everything- reboot , delete, start over . Is anyone else having this same problem?

Judging by the number of other threads on this, yes many people have been having Yahoo mail issues with push, and it appears to be on Yahoo's side, not Apple's.

There was a run of bad batteries for the iPhone 5. Apple will replace them if your phone qualifies and you haven't tried to fix it yourself. See: iPhone 5 Battery Replacement Program - Apple Support. Unfortunately, you may have disqualified yourself if you tried to repair it yourself.

So, this is a problem because when Siri attempts to send iMessages to those without iPhones it, of course, fails.
For example, if I say to Siri, "Tell my mother 'Hello.'" It will try to send an iMessage. My mother has an Android phone, so the iMessage just gets lost in cyberspace.
I use Siri quite often, this problem only occured about two hours ago.
Can anyone help me with this?

The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

It should work fine with Version 1.2 and Itunes 7.0 or later.
Check the battery charge--- Make sure it’s OK
No need to keep running the battery down..?
Do a manual Reset on IPOD--by selecting
Menu and Center simultaneously, for about 6 seconds.
You may have to do this several times.
re-try IPOD
Make sure your Windows software is up-to-date.
Make sure your running the correct software version for your IPOD.
If this doesn’t’ work---
Do the 5 R’s as instructed in the Apples manual.

I have the same problem since updating to IOS 8.3. Any app to which I want to send a new link via IMessage does not allow me to select a contact to send the IMessage to. Using a pre-existing thread does not have same problem.

I suggest that you start with SMC and PRAM resets.
Then a Safe Boot.

MSN's latest update is crashing Firefox many times per day. When I try to send the crash report to Firefox, it says it has trouble sending the report. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a setting that can help?

Firefox is crashing every time I have my MSN email account up. (Since I use it for business, that's many times per day.) It seems to coincide with hotmail's latest update where the email is checked and downloaded to the inbox automatically. Then when it asks me if I want to send the crash report to Firefox, I select yes and it tells me it had trouble sending the report. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a setting I can change? I can't seem to keep my email account up for more than 10 minutes.
p.s if you're reading this Microsoft, it's still not bad enough to make me to go back to Internet Explorer!

IF RESET DOESN'T WORK, FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTunes and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

Go to your Google translate bookmark.
Type in a word then tap whatever language.
Make a select for the language to be translated to by tapping Dutch (or whatever language you see in the box all the way to the right. You should see a language menu.

Two days ago my iPad 3 and IPad 2 started to crash very unexpectedly. Both iPads have wifi and cellular and both are running iOS 7.0.2. I will be working and suddenly the screen just wipes to black and then the big white Apple appears as if I have done a hard reset. The iPads always come back, but the crashes and unexpected app closures are happening with greater frequency. It happens more with the iPad 3 than with the iPad 2. Until two day ago both iPads had been very stable. I don't keep a lot of apps open and I have plenty of GB of free space. I do hard resets after each event, doesn't help the situation. Did Apple do some kind of update to the OS in the last few days? I was just getting used to the new OS and this is very frustrating. Anyone else having this problem, have a possible answer or solution? Thanks for your help.
