Anyone else notice the Connect Mobile app is no longer on ITunes?

Folks, this is odd: the Connect Mobile App is no longer on itunes. The link that used to take you there (http://itunes.apple.com/si/app/adobe-connect-mobile/id338279127) now causes an error to popup in itunes:
Your request could not be completed. The item you've requested is not currently available in the US store.
Yet I had visited the link just last week I thought (I share it with people often). And I know I just got an itunes update to the app (1.0.4) on my phone just in the past couple of days.
Anyone know what's up?

The Adobe Connect Mobile application was temporarily unavailable from iTunes around Dec 7-10, 2010 but you can now download its latest update (1.0.5 - posted Dec. 13, 2010).

Anyone else notice the chagne in the Timer (part of Clock app) in 1.1.3

I use my Timer daily (M-F) as I have to park at a meter for work. Every two hours I need to go refill the meter. So I set my timer for 1:55 and let it count down. In the past, if I happen to go out before the timer goes off to refill, when I open the timer app to cancel the timer, it use to stay at the time where I canceled. While never a big issue for me because it made me have to flip and reset the 1:55 setting before starting it again, now with 1.1.3 it will remember the setting and automatically go to last set time (thus 1:55 for me). Yes this makes it a lot easier for me so now I just hit cancel, then start and off I go. But can see how it may affect others that liked it the other way and want to continue where they left off for the needs they use the timer for.
Guess it is just nice to discover a change that works in my benifit, but also puzzled at the change. The time for the programmers and odds are meetings about if they should change it or not. When one sits and thinks about the true full cost of deciding on a change and making it, seems like a lot of time and effort to at least to me looks like a minor change that odds are will make some happy, but upset others. To me for something like this (a timer) having it either way is fine (and has it's logical reasons why) and those that don't like it can just get use to it.
Anyhow, just wanted to list another change in 1.1.3.

Which RESET should work, without using the "Reset All Settings", "Erase All Content and Settings" or "Reset Home Screen Layout" options?
I did already completed the "Erase All Content and Settings" trying to fix something else with the phone and restored it from a back up. Now could that be the culprit of this bug and not an iOS 5.0.1 bug?

Does anyone else notice the light from the headphone jack on their white iPhone 4?

I noticed that whenever i turn on my lockscreen or whenever my iphone's screen is on, you can see light from the audio headphone jack. Anyone else have this problem? ( Iphone 4 white)

Clarification, iPhoneMac is correct. There is light noticible at the bottom of the Headphone Jack.
However, when I responded, I checked the 6 iPhone 4 here and none of them showed this in lit room normal usage. In Dark Room especially with the Screen Brightness turned up you can see a bit of light (glow) at the very bottom of the Jack, if you look right down the barrel.

Anyone else notice the weather?

This morning, here in St. louis, it was 27 degrees. So why on Earth does my
iPhone tell me the current temperature is 27 degrees, yet the low for the day is listed as 37. I don't know what the low was, but I'm 100 percent certain that it was lower than 37. I'm guessing this information came from Yahoo, due to the Yahoo logo in the lower left hand corner, but seriously, does nobody notice these things?
And before I get the standard feedback link people are so fond of posting, I know where it is and I've used it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

Yes I did retract it to the point of saying, yes one can code it to show altered data.
I only said it wasn't a bug because it is doing what it is supposed to be doing. Yet the requirements of what it should be doing are perhaps faulty.
It is a predicted high and low as that is how it is given to them.
Now this is only an assumption but I see it going like this.
Day change (or set interval) happens. Webservices for a location pull from weather service predicted highs and lows for week. Updates database fields for predicted highs and lows.
Other web services at weather service pulls (at higher intervals) data from temp polling locations. Updates current time and temp for location in database.
Yahoo, pulls data. It shows high/low (which is predicted as when you see temps displayed in that way H/L on any news channel, they are showing what is predicted.
And up top it shows what it pulled for last polled temp.
As for Yahoo, they are just pulling data from official sources. If they alter the data, one could say it wasn't official anymore. However, I do agree that one could tell the developers the requirement that if current temp is outside the bounds of predicted, alter predicted to reflect the logcial data. In the end not a big deal.
A lot is a matter of how I do preceive the data shown. I am confident that the standard of showing H/L is a prediction (unless speaking of the past). That is how it is always stated in the news. They say todays expected high is xxx and expected low is yyy.
This is not to say in the next pull for predicted temps the data will not correct itself, but I do believe the interval for predicted data is a larger interval than the get current interval. So there can be a disconnect when it comes to logical data, which could be fixed via code by Yahoo. Just sure the requirements were either not flushed out, or they opted to not be the system of record and give out altered data but rather just report what the service says.

I tried to update my ipod touch, and it said to connect to itunes. Does this update like delete everything? I havent seen this since i first bought my ipod.

Some users have experienced a glitch when updating via wifi and have had to connect the iPod to their computer and restore via iTunes.

Anyone else notice the icons bug in iOS 5.0.1?

Hi,
I can't find anything about a bug in the new iOS 5.0.1 for the home screen icons and hoping to hear back on some workaround or new function(s)... I have a iPhone 4, CDMA.
It's happens when I want to arrange my icons on home screens. So I hold down the icon and it begins to "shake" to move them around or "x" them, but when I go to "set" the arrangement, I push the home button (like before in iOS 5.0 and older) and it's completely unresponsive. I have to now push the "sleep" button on the top of the phone. I tried pushing it twice, three times to see if that was the new command but it just brings up the spotlight search function.
Seems to me to be too buggy and inconvenient to need to push the sleep button each time to exit the shaking icons... Any advice on this?

Has anyone else noticed websites automatically opening App Store?

I don't know if this is a vulnerability opened up in IOS 7 (when I firs noticed it) or if it's just something unscrupulous web vultures have recently discovered, but I've noticed I'll be on a website (usually one of those websites with lists, or pictures, or something designed to drive you to more and more page hits so you know they are already on the edge) and all of a sudden, the App Store opens to some stupid game or another. Normally, it would ask you first even if you selected a link to an app.
Worse, maybe Apple is in collusion now with web developers? I hope not.
If the former, Apple, if you ever read these, please look into this.

Apple rarely, if ever, comments on news stories, even to main stream media, so that's not surprising.
I've noticed exactly what you have, and there is definitely no link clicking going on.
Programming wise, it's actually pretty simple to do, and doesn't require the user click a link to open the AppStore.
I've noticed it mainly happens on forums or web-sites that are funded by affiliate links and adverts, and in my experience, the links are almost always to games.
Quite annoying, but its just standard Javascript used by less scrupulous web sites. I'm not really sure what, if anything, Apple could do, as such people will find ways around and move quicker than any blocks Apple might be able to implement.

Has anyone else had the problem of apps or videos supposedly taking up more room than they say they do?

Hey, I've been having this problem for a while. Whenever I try to add a new app that's relatively large, or a new video at all, iTunes says there's not enough room on my iPod. Most recently, this happened when adding a video. Said video is 1.05 GB. iTunes says I have 1.21 GB of storage available on my iPod. Is there a reason for this, or is it just bad luck on my part?

You would have to continue making the payments on THAT phone along with any other phone you upgraded to. THAT is the difference between the 2 plans. You WILL end up paying full price for the phone on the Device Payment Plan, where you can STOP making payments on a phone with the Edge Plan if you turn it in for another device.

Anyone else notice the puny list of CS5 compatible VTRs?

Seriously - 13 models and only 2 that do SD. Earth to Adobe - there is a huge chunk of television distribution being done in SD in the real world. I live in the third largest DMA and only half the broadcasters that can get to all 5 million viewers have the ability to broadcast in HD. Plus the VTRs I have been using through CS2, CS3, CS4 and now CS5 aren't on the list although they are listed in the options list under edit device control.

Just cause they are not on the list doesnt mean they wont work. If they have standard firewire; chances are they will work.

I think there's a bug in the "Blend RGB Colors Using Gamma" feature in Edit>Color Settings>Advanced Controls. For some reason it doesn't apply to layer styles.

Ok, here are two images. They both have a text layer with an outer glow (100% opacity pure green, normal blending mode) and a feathered green brush stroke (normal blending mode) over a red background. The first image is in RGB 8 bit (ie non-linear) image color mode. The second image is in RGB 32 bit (ie linear) image color mode. You can see how the 32 bit mode image (second image) has proper blending of the green glow onto the red background in both the text layer style as well as the brush stroke, while the 8-bit image properly blends the brush stroke but fails to blend the layer style using linear gamma (aka 1.0). In both screenshots you can see that PS is set to "Blend RGB Using 1.0 Gamma".
I'm assuming this is a bug?

Has anyone else noticed the lack of sound quality with FaceTime in iOS 6, over wifi?

FT has lost much of its fidelity. It gates out all the noise, which I'm sure is supposed to be better, but now it's more like like a cell phone call. Sure the warmth of sound is better, but it cuts off breaths and sighs. All the things that make it so great when talking to your kids and family when traveling on the road.
If this was the cost of getting FT over 3G, it's not worth it.

Hi there, I have the same issue with FaceTime an ios6. When using it with iPhone 4 and 4s, the sound quality has decreased when compared to ios5. Background white noise is now reduced but low volume sounds (such as sights and whispers) are cut out too.
This is qualitatively not an improvement, and much of the warmth of former talks using FaceTime is now gone.
I do really hope there will be an answer from apple's side soon.

Do you mean not having email support? Well they all removed that feature.
Do you mean chat that is never available? Yep most of the others have the same problem. (Because they took away email I would suspect)
Do you mean long wait times on telephone service? Yep 120 Million customers and they hire 100 people to handle your concerns. Terrible.
No service via Twitter, or Facebook or even the forums unless you want corn ball replies. Yep That is absolutely terrible service.
You could write them a letter, but hey they will deny getting it and you waste postage costs.
The only way to insure service is go to the corporate store for questions etc. But they no longer repair the devices there any longer.
Verizon is throwing away customer support services since it costs money, your only real avenue is writing your issue here and hopefully another customer will help you. That is a sad state of affairs.

Effectively Xalan is the issue, which we want to upgrade from 2.0.1 (currently being used in jdk1.3) to 2.5.1
JDK 1.4.2 contains 2.4.1 but in any case performance is detrimentally effected by upgrading.
nb. I have managed to get Xalan 2.0.1 running in Java 1.4.2 by fiddling the java.endorsed.dirs setting and have found that this produces optimal performance (another 5% increase).
This means that using the new version of Xalan with 1.4.2 is up to 20% slowerfor transformations than using version 2.0.1 (in the case of my transformations anyway).

The iPad does not upload apps.
