Anyone Getting Duplicate SMS messages?

I've noticed this is an iphone thing, a friend who has a regular cell through sprint, mentioned that he gets duplicate SMS messages from me and another friend who also uses an iphone.
I get them on my iphone from other iphone users time to time and this is making me wonder, since the iphone is sending the same message twice, doesn't that mean we are being charged twice for the same message?
I don't know about you but that could add up to some excess charges on my bill that I don't see as fair for me to have to pay if the even arrises...

Constantly getting Failed SMS messages inside my house.

I have had issues with a couple cell phone making calls inside the walls of my house, but as of last week now I am getting failed SMS messages that say !Message Not Sent constantly, but yet a large chunk of them do go through. I have never had this issue previously.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? Either with the phone, or something I should look for with the house? It's a brand new built house, so I wouldn't think it would have material in the house that stops them.

Sounds like something changed the wireless signal strength at your home. Did a new house get built blocking your reception from the tower? Another structure? Has Verizon been working on the towers in your area? If you had a weak, marginal signal before, even the weather changing could cause problems. I'd call Verizon and see if anything is happening to the network in your area. They can also check to make sure your account is set up properly and that you have the latest PRL on your phone.

Receiving duplicate SMS messages

I am using the Sprint Blackberry 8830 WE in Berlin, Germany using a pre-paid Vodafone SIM card. When I receive an SMS, I get the same SMS message multiple times at regular time intervals: At first the messages are close together (1-2 minutes apart), then they're hourly, then daily. Since I send SMS with multiple people, I'm bombarded with SMS messages throughout the day and night.
I've used this phone in Vietnam and did not have this problem.
I suspect that the phone carrier is not getting a confirmation that the SMS was received so it tries again, but I'm not sure. Is there any configuration setting I should look out for?

By default all the email messages will arrive in your Messages folder as well as the designated email folder. This is not duplicate emails and it's not consuming any additional memory in your device.

Can I get my SMS messages back?!?

I bought the new iphone 5s 3 days ago. Unfortunately, I did not connect it to my computer until today. I've been using the new iphone 5s the last 3 days for sms, email, etc. When I connected it to my computer today I restored all the data and files from my previous iphone 4 to the new iphone 5s. I lost all those sms messages from the last 3 days. Is there any way to get them back? Please help because i had an important conversation from 2 days ago that I really need to retrieve!

Anyone get this error message when trying to use a pre-installed workflow?

When I try to use one of several workflows under Photo in Automator I get this error message:
* -[NSNull length]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0xa00dc008
The workflows affected are those with the small feather appearing icon next to it. Don't know which application it refers to. For example: Convert to Profile, Change resolution, Assign Color Profile, Color balance.
Are these referring to some application that I don't have installed? 'Tis a puzzlement.

I think I've found the solution. The workflows that were not working were for Photoshop. Now they are. The fix must have been the 10.5.2 Combo updater as that's the only change I've made that would affect Automator. My PS CS3 installation has not been touched since before the problem started.

Duplicate SMS messages

I have been looking to find a solution to a problem but have not been able to find. Perhaps you can help.
I have connected my 3100 phone to PC Suite 6.8 (and previous versions). The problem is that upon synch thru File Manager, SMS messages continue to be duplicated. I have tried erasing everything from the documents&settings/username/phonebrowser/nokia xxxx/messages/inbox folder. In fact, upon doing this, PC Suite did not recreate the XML folder file, so i had to restore it. Even upon deleting all the messages it did not work, upon synch the error message says "cannot complete synch, phone memory is full"
Question is: how do i reset the SMS index on both ends, while keeping one single copy of my messages?
Any help would be very welcome

Anyone getting the error message- windows error 127? It keeps coming up everytime I try to open iTunes- even after uninstalling and reinstalling.

I updated my iTunes on my laptop and when I tried to open it, it continues to say some link in missing and Windows Error message 127. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling, but the same message appears. Has anyone dealt with this before and know how I can fix it?

Never got my rebate SMS message

ok, bought the phone the day after it came out, just filled out all the online rebate info and it says I'll get an SMS message but it could take "up to 5 minutes"
it's been over an hour and no message.
I don't have an email address either so I can figure this out. Anyone else get this?
additionally, I've closed out of the second screen where I would put in that authorization info, since it took so long. there doesn't appear to be a direct link.

Log back in and attempt to get it again. Go throught from start to finish until it sends it to your phone. Make sure that you are not on the phone attempting to fill it out, use a computer. If you are on safari while waiting for the text, it wont come.

Why is my iPhone 4S breaking up SMS messages that are shorter than 160 characters?

With my iPhone 4S running 5.1, I'll tap out a message that reads on the character counter as less than 160 characters. When I press send, I hear the "sent message" swoosh sound happen twice, as it does when the phone splits a long message into multiple parts.
The recipient confirms that the message does get split into two parts even though its contents did not exceed 160 characters. Through some experimenting, I have determined that it happens with messages that exceed 120 characters. In cases of messages with lengths 120-160 characters, it cuts the last word off and sends it as a separate message.
Why is this happening?
(In addition, checking my Google Voice history also confirms that the messages get split up even though they do not exceed the character limit.)

I'm having the same exact issue. I've only noticed it since I upgraded to IOS 5.1. Unless the SMS message is very short, it gets broken into at least two separate messages when I hit send. I think this is happening even if the message I'm sending is less than 120 characters.
It doesn't bother me either, but like AmZam05 mentions, I feel bad for the recipient who is now getting mulitple SMS messages from me when they would get a single SMS message prior to me upgrading to IOS 5.1.
EDIT: Wanted to add that this is with a Sprint iPhone 4S w/ IOS 5.1. I've also found some forum threads elsewhere speaking of the same problem others are having. There seems to be a "workaround" for this by adding a few blank spaces at the end of your SMS text message, then sending it.
