APEX Print Attributes for Interactive Reports versus Reports

The Print Attirbutes tab for Interactive Reports does not have the Enable Report Printing option that the same tab does for Reports. The Enable Reports option when set to Yes" puts a print link on the Reports page. Since, the option doesn't appear for under the Print Attributes tab for Interactive Reports, how can I get a print link appear on an Interactive Report page?

Hi,
Those links are visible to end user in action menu -> Download

  • Help on print button for interactive report

    Hi,
    I have created an interactive report and have also added a print button on the button of the report (unfortunately forgot how I did it). Say my column on the reports was Col_No, Col_First_name, Col_Last_name and a print button when I pressed a would get to choose open or save a pdf file, if I opened or saved it, I would had the same info on my pdf report as above.
    Since I have changed the column order meaning I have Col_No, Col_Last_name, Col_Start_Date, Col_First_name and that is working fine but when I click on the print button I will get the pervious columns.
    I noticed I have created a branches to print the report, basically after processing, when button was pressed an action with f?p=&APP_ID.:0:&SESSION.:PRINT_REPORT=6259824360775969936:&DEBUG.::: is present.
    I need help to fix this and I do very much appreciate any help or suggestions

  • CSS default for Interactive Reports

    Hi,
    I wanted to modify some default attributes for interactive reports. I found this : Re: Interactive Report
    I tried to put this information in my modified CSS file attached to our default template, but it doesn't seem to work.
    I put this in my CSS file : .apexir_REPORT_TABS span.current {background:#7b9cbd none repeat scroll 0 0;
                                   color:#FFFFFF;
                          margin-bottom:0;}
    but the background color isn't 7b9cbd.
    Is there a way to make it work in a CSS file ?
    Thanks.
    My fault, I had to put #apexir... instead of .apexir
    Edited by: gfrancoeur on Jun 2, 2009 10:55 AM

    I found the information on this.
    It sounds like IR reports use a general CSS file (e.g. apex_4_1.css) and it's better to modify the page template than to modify that file...
    I did that and it worked.

  • Using XSL-FO for Interactive Report PDF printout

    I am using XSL-FO, Apache FOP and use FO Designer to produce a PDF from SQL Based Report (not IR). This is working fine.
    How can use the same concept for Interactive Report. I can not see how to make IR to use XSL-FO and Apache FOP.
    It looks that IR is only working for BI Publisher. Am I right?

    Interactive Reports currently only support the built-in default XSL-FO layout, i.e. there are only limited customization options available. Report Queries (see Shared Components) and Classic Reports can either use the default XSL-FO Layout, or can be associated with RTF or XSL-FO based templates. We plan to extend printing support for Interactive Reports in a future version of Oracle Application Express to provide similar features as is currently available for Report Queries and Classic Reports.

  • Title= Attribute for report column headings

    Hi All,
    Is there anywhere we can specify the "title=" attribute for each of the report column headings. Unfortunately we are on Apex 2.0
    This is to facilitate the use of screen readers, and I can see nowhere this can be entered.
    We can use an anchor tag in the heading field of the column attributes which is fine such as <a title="test indicator indicator">TST </a>
    But if we apply a sort to this field, the Sort doesn't work.
    Thanks,
    Noel

    Hi Noel,
    You need to change the column heading to wrap the text in a tag that has the title attribute.
    For example, if you had a column called Name, change this to &lt;span title="Name"&gt;Name&lt;/span&gt;.
    Column sorting will still work.

  • Cannot access report attributes for editing

    I have a report/form combination. It's been working fine (both editing and running). I have made some changes to the report region definition source, successfully applied them, and they work as expected. However, I cannot (since yesterday, though it was fine before) access the report attributes. In the page definition, if I click on the 'report' to edit the report columns, I get an Internet Explorer error that the page cannot be found. Same thing if I try to access the report attributes by editing the region (the region definition and print attributes are fine, only the report attributes are inaccessible).
    I thought I'd start over, just to see if that helped. I created a new report/form combination on the same table, and on this new report I still cannot access the report columns.
    Has anyone seen this problem before?
    thanks,
    Carol

    Please ignore this; the issue was needing a patch to handle a bug.

    I want to see the Print Preview of any of a Standard Interactive Form.
    Please Give me Some Standard Programs which call the Interactive forms..
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    I think you need to create a custom program to check the print preview.
    Check following link to create a print program for Interactive forms:

    Also there is one report to check/update the layout of the form check FP_CHK_REPORT'. Check the documentation before using this report.

  • Attribute "Report Layout" is missing in the "Print Attributes" tab for IR

    Hallo,
    The attribute “Report Layout” is missing in the “Print Attributes” tab for an interactive report?
    How to alter the report layout (xsl-fo) of an interactive report?
    Has someone any idea where to configure this?
    Btw, for the "classic" SQL Report the XSL-FO "Report Layout" can be cahnged in "Print Attributes" and this works fine for me. But I want to change the xsl-fo for the interactive report.
    "If you do not select a report layout, a default XSL-FO layout is used. The default XSL-FO layout is always used for rendering Interactive Report regions. ... Unlike classic reports, the Interactive Report Print Attributes can only utilize the default XSL-FO layout and is initiated from the Report Attributes, Download section rather than directly from this screen. Once configured, these attributes only apply only to the current region and cannot be used outside the context of the region."
    http://apex.oracle.com/i/doc/bldapp_rpt_print.htm
    How can the "default XSL-FO layout" be changed?
    Changing is necessary because the Apache FOP 1.0 reports the following error (for the transmitted default XSL-FO):
    "fo:simple-page-master", "fo:region-body" must be declared before "fo:region-before"
    http://www.w3.org/TR/xsl/#fo_region-before
    The default report layout is not saved in:
    select * from APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_REPORT_LAYOUTS
    Thx, Willi

    I've found two workaround for getting Apache FOP 1.0 to work with Oracle Apex 4.0 for PDF printing of interactive reports:
    1, Use an application process to set your custom layout for interactive reports:
    [ ] grant all on APEX_040000.WWV_RENDER_REPORT3 to {YOUR_SCHEMA_NAME};
    [ ] Create an Application Process e.g. "Custom Report Layout" with constraint for request 'PDF' and Process Text:
    declare
    v_xsl varchar2(32767);
    begin
    v_xsl := '<?xml version = ''1.0'' encoding = ''utf-8''?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="2.0"
      <fo:region-body region-name="region-body" margin-top="54.0pt" margin-bottom="54.0pt"/>
      <fo:region-before region-name="region-header" extent="54.0pt"/>
    </xsl:stylesheet>';
    APEX_040000.WWV_RENDER_REPORT3.g_prn_template := v_xsl;
    end;2, If you have some knowlege in Java change the sequnce of the the nodes in the apex_fop.jsp (or servlet), ie. changing the xsl before you use it for transformation.
    The code depends on the solution you are using to parse the xsl string.
    Hope this may help someone,
    Willi

  • How apex generate LOV values for Interactive report

    Scott,
    For interactive report, does APEX full table/index scan to generate the LOV drop down list every time user click the column header? If I set max row count to 100, does LOV values only derived from the first 100 rows that apex hits?
    If I enter SQL query in "list of value definition", will that sql get executed every time users click the column header or the result is cached?
    For standard and interactive report, does APEX parse (soft/hard) the sql statement again when user do pagination?

    Hi N.Raj,
    {thread:id=2245456}
    Yes you have to Configure BI Publisher or other.

  • User Interface Template for Interactive Report Region

    In 3.2, where do we set the user interface template for Interactive Reports region?
    No matter what out of the box theme I switch to, the Interactive Reports region shows the same. What and where do I change the template so that alternating rows use two different colors?

    There is no template for Interactive Reports like for a "normal" report. You need to modify the CSS and supply your own for this to happen.
    I believe most things are tagged with #apexir - firebug with Firebox is invaluable. This thread may help:

  • Choosing the columns for a Bi Publisher report in APEX

    A user wants to select each column in a pdf report printed in APEX, it is easy to make a report with bi bublisher but how can i change the columns at run time.

    Thanks for the link. I am reading it for better understanding.
    I just came to know from SR that, In order to see the BI Publisher in the Presentation Server list of values, we have to embed the BI Publihser report inside an OTBI Dashboard.
    So we need to create a 'Dashboards' folder (It is must only then we are able to see it via fusion apps. to select and embed), then Dashboard and add the desired report to this dashboard. Now we can navigate to this dashboard, open it and select the page to embed it.
    Might be useful for the ppl who faces similar issue. Thanks.

  • Display Interactive BI Publisher report on Oracle APEX

    Hi Gurus,
    I am struggling a log in order to display my current Interactive BI Publisher report along with LOVs to be displayed in APEX. I am getting an error.
    The report cannot be rendered because of an error, please contact the administrator.
    Error Detail
    oracle.xdo.XDOException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: Report definition not found:%2F~weblogic%2FEnergy%20Balance%20Reports%2FEnergy%20Balance%20Global%20Monthly%20Analytics.xdo [username=weblogic]
    I selected "share report link" => No header from BI Publisher Interactive report. It does have "Year" and "Month" as LOV which I choose the value from drop down list. I want same to be displayed under APEX for selection.
    At the end of the link, I have tried providing username and password also like - &id=weblogic&passwd=password, but still receiving above error.
    I am very much stuck at this point, so any help is very much appreciated.
    I am using APEX ver 4.1, oracle database 11g R2 and Oracle Bi Publisher 11g Enterprise edition.
    URL Which I tried in APEX, I tried running from browser and it works well along with LOV selection drop down list.
    Please help gurus
    thanks

    I also have this same question.  The publisher report parameters are not modeled in the rpd, they are from a BIP jdbc conneciton to a transactional database.

  • Download formats for interactive reports

    Hi,
    how can I activate the other possible download formats (RTF and XLS) at my interactive reports? I only see the CSV anf PDF-format.
    Any help appreciated
    Thanks

    Hello Norbert,
    you have to buy BI Publisher to be able to export the other formats.
    If you already have BI Publisher you can choose between the formats on print attributes page of report definition.
    If your user shall be able to select the download format you have to create an item (I would use a select list) where the user can specify which format he wants. This item you can reference on the print attirbutes page, too.
