APP ... credit Memo

Hi experts,
Is it possible ,credit memo payment in APP.?
what is the configuration required for processing credit memo in APP.

Hi Chin,
The credit memo can be offset with any other outstanding invoices (if the vendor has any) so that the net amount can be paid.
If vendor balance is zero and if there is credit memo, money can be pulled from vendor's bank account using direct debit. This direct debit requires withdrawal authorization (Collection Authorization LFBK-XEZER) from the vendor.
The same payment program F110 can be used for direct debit.

    we are using F110 for Automatic Payment clearing ( APP) at the time of running this credit memo amount is capturing , for example we need to pay the amount to vendor is 100/-, credit memo amount is 10/- net amount payable is 90/-. Instead of 90/- it is showing 100/- so that our users posting the amounts manually. Please  give me advice .

  • APP Vendor Credit memo to net off aginst normal invoice

    Hi All
    I would like to know,  what are all the references for "netting off of debit amount of vendor with credit amount while perfroming Automatic Payment run at T.Code F110.
    Ex:  I have a Debit amount against Vendor XXXX of Rs 21000 and Credit amount of Rs. 25000,  At APP system isnot picking up Credit  memo line item of Rs. 21000 for payment.
    please give ur suggession.

    Is the credit (invoice) blocked for payment?

    How do we link the credit memo to an invoice from the tables. For example if i know the credit memo number how do i find that credit memo is linked to which invoice.(I believe the table is AP_Invoices_All but not sure which column)

    Hi.
    A Credit Memo can be considered the opposite of a Standard Invoice. It can be due to severeal reasons like, for example, when you claim to your supllier that the price for a certain good or service was higher than the agreed he can send you a Credit Memo in the amount of the price difference. You have recorded the Invoice (let's say $100) for the wrong price and now you will record the CM (let's say $10) for a negative amount being that the sum of the two documents correspond to the correct purchase you have done.
    This way, the table AP_INVOICE_PAYMENTS_ALL records the CM with a negative amount allowing you to pay the two documents (the positive invoice and the negative CM) for the net amount.
    About the journals entries:
    Invoice
    DR Cost $100
    CR Liabilty $100
    CM
    DR Liability $10
    CR Cost $10
    Payment
    DR Liability $90
    CR Bank $90

  • Credit Memo through Open Interface in AP

    Hi,
    I need to create a credit memo through 'Payables Open Interface Import' program. It also needs to populate 'Credited Invoice' number with the standard invoice number (which is again created through the Open Interface).
    Issues:
    1) Which filed in AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE should be populated to hold the 'Credited Invoice' number ?
    2) Both standard invoice and credit memo invoice are created through single lauch of 'Payables Open Iterface' program. So, referred standard invoice will be in 'Never valdiated' status by the time credit memo is created. But 'Credited Invoice' takes only validated standard invoice numbers. So, do not know how it works out.
    Any inputs on this would be highly helpful !

    You'll find the relationship using:
    select cm.trx_number, trx.trx_number
    from ra_customer_trx_all cm,
    ra_customer_trx_all trx
    where cm.previous_customer_trx_id = trx.customer_trx_id
    When you create an on-account credit memo (both open receivable or not), apps stores the credited transaction id in the column previous_customer_trx_id of the created credit memo.
    You create on-account credit memos by creating referenced RMAs or in transactions form, by going to Actions->Credit.

  • GL account missing in credit memo request

    Hello every one,
    I am trying to creat credit memo request with ref to credit contract invoice but receiving a Document Incomplete message(GL account missing). Iu2019ve clicked on the Edit button and gone back and reviewed everything but I still canu2019t complete the process as I still keep getting the Document Incomplete message.  Can you please advise me.

    Note: In T. Code: VA02, key-in your Sales Doc (in your case, Credit Memo Request) and go in to Sales Doc.
    From Menu-bar, Click:
    Edit --> Incompletion Log.
    This will lead to eror page, listing Error: G/L missing.
    Select line and click Tab: Complete Data
    This will lead you to another Screen: Analysis Account Determination
    Now, at left-side of the screen, you can see Columns: Procedure and Description.
    There, you will find
    KOFI --> PR00 (open drop-down option for PR00) --> 10 (KOFI) Cust.Grp/Material Grp/Acct.Key
    Double Click on it.
    IMP1: Instead of KOFI, it could be KOFK also; and instead of "Cust.Grp/Material Grp/Acct.Key", it could be "Cust.Grp/Account Key" or "Material Grp/Acct Key". Just note-down the entries, it will help you to assign G/L in T. Code: VKOA
    Now, at right-hand side of the Screen (i.e. Overview), You will find Access details 10 (KOFI)
    Now, there are two options:
    1. either System will determine the G/L, or
    2. still, G/L a/c missing
    In second case, down there on the same screen, notice the following:
    Field in condition table--Field in document---Value in doc.
    IMP2: Note-down the entries, under Column: Value in doc. as this will help you to maintain settings in T. Code: VKOA
    Now, go to - T. Code: VKOA
    Click on Table: 1 - Cust.Grp/Material Grp/Acct.Key (or as found in step IMP1)
    On to next screen, click Tab: New Entries
    now, maintain entries in to Fields:
    App: V
    CndTy.: KOFI (or as found in step IMP2)
    ChAc: INT (or as found in step IMP2)
    SOrg: 1234 (or as found in step IMP2)
    AAG: 01 (or as found in step IMP2)
    AAG: 05 (or as found in step IMP2)
    ActKy: ERL (or as found in step IMP2)
    G/L Account: You will get it from Accounts dept.
    Provision acc.: I don't think its reqd. as its being used for, say Rev. recog.
    Save the entry. Now, check the Sales Doc. in VA02 (as explained in the statring of Note).

    i understood your problem
    we can do it in a different way.
    i think you have a due amount and one credit memo..
    if it is ok
    then in F110
    GO to proposal change and select first the invoice document and REALOCATE then change the bank details
    for ex.
    payment method      M
    bank                        SBI
    account                  curr
    and press shift+F1
    and go back
    select second one that is credit memo
    and REALOCATE
    there you can find the bank
    select that and shift+F1
    thus you do the payment
    this can solve your problem

    I am working in 11i oracle apps.
    In AP_invoices_all table there is an invoice_id that has a negative amount on it
    I understood that it is a credit memo. Can you please explain what a credit memo is and how does it affect a business
    Also, when I checked the corresponding invoice_id in the AP_invoice_payments_all table, this invoice has a negative payment amount. What does this mean? How is it going to effect in the journal entries.

    In credit memo request page, I need to add a new item.
    In the 'About this page', I checked for the view objects CMRequestVO and CMRequestLinesVO but the item is not available in the view objects.
    There is an item called Requestor Comments shown on this page. The item to be added is the Approver Notes. These 2 columns are populated through the workflow.
    How to find about the Requestor Comments item? If we know this then the Approver Notes item can be easily added to this page, I think.
    Also I enabled the FND_PERSONALIZATION_REGION_LINK profile option so that
    I can create a new item using personalization. But I could not see the create item icon in the create item field.
    Can adding the Approver Notes be achieved by personalization?

    You need to look at both VO's and see where to add the credit memo field.
    To extend the VO object...you have to use Jdeveloper.
    Check the below this site for the details steps:

    After extending the, you need to copy your objects under webserver and the bounce the apache.
    Then you need to do personalization..
    Here are the steps for personalization:
    Click Personalize page and click "Expand All" under Personalization Structure..
    Go to the corresponding Advance Table and Click on Create Item. This will create a Column Field
    1) Enter Unique ID-- ex; CreditMemoEx
    2) Rendered -- True
    3) Click Apply
    In the advance table search the newly created "CreditMemoEx"
    Click on the Create Item field again.
    1) Select Item Style " Message Styled Text"
    2) Data Type -- Varchar2
    3) Enter the Prompt = "Credit Memo"
    4) Scope -- Enter the full path of VO object...ex: /xx.../oracle/apps/...
    5) View Attribute -- Enter Exact name the attribute defined in the VO object.
    6) Enter other attributes required for Business.
    7) When Finished Click Apply.

    The serial number was included in the box ARD came in; the Apple Store will not have a record of it. If you've lost the serial number, you'll need to purchase a new copy of ARD, probably a good idea anyway since 2.2 won't run on any version of Mac OS X since, if memory serves, 10.4. It's a lot cheaper through the Mac App Store than it was back when you first purchased.

    I have one client scenario.
    There are 3 invoices for the vendor and 1 credit memo. 1 st invoice: 10000, 2nd Invoice is 8000 and third invoice is 7000 and credit memo is 4000.
    Now i have to make individual payment to invoice 1 and 2. I want to clear the third invoice with the credit memo and for the rest of the 3000 i have to clear.
    This all process should go through in APP. How i have to make it possible.

    if you want invoice wise separate checks you have to enable the tick mark for separate payment for each ref in paying company codes at FBZP t.code.
    first you set of the credit memo against invoice in residual method.ater run the F110. you can get invoice wise checks.

    I'm trying to figure out a way to tie a specific product returned to a vendor on an RMA to the credit memo that may or may not come back in to Accounts Payable. Our business uses a distribution center model, and does not track units to customers by PO, so there is no field that will tie an RMA to a credit. How can this be done?

  • Credit memo application against invoice

    Hi,
    i have a senario where a CM is credit is created with an line amount of -2000 and tax amount of -320, totally CM amount is -2320. and i have an invoice with line amount of 1000 and tax amount of 160 (total amount 1160) and this particular invoice is applied against the CM.
    When we migrate these transactions as it is into a new instance through Autoinvoice program we are getting an error "Duplicate transaction number".
    to apply the invoice as it is to the CM we are spliting the CM lines based on the Invocie amount, in this case the CM lines have been splited into 2 with amount of -1160 (line + tax amount).
    to one to the line and tax line we are passing the reference line attributes (values in interface line attributes of the invoice).
    the grouping rule we are using is default.
    Can anyone shed come light on this.....

    Hi,
    Please check the payment terms of the credit memo.
    1. You can pay open items together using APP, but only if certain fields are identical. The structure ZHLG1 specifies these fields. Important fields are Currency, Payment mthd in item, Bank details in item.
    2. Whenever inv and credit memos are in different payment groups, you cannot clear them together, even if the credit memo contains an invoice reference. In your case, the invoice ref is not used.
    3. Invoice and credit memo must be due at the date of clearing. Check if REBZG='V'.
    4. Indicator 'Single payment for marked item' in payment mthd shouldn't be checked.
    5. Check payment methods in both invoice and credit memos.
    6. Also check the Bank partner type in BSEG.

    AR (11.5.1) does not have functionality to refund credit card payments back to the card holders amount.
    Has any one created a custom solution to automate credit card refunds after a credit-memo is created in AR? I mean actually crediting the cardholders account --- not just updating statuses within the Oracle apps.
