Product: iPhone 5
itune: 11.2.2.3; ios 7.1.1
iPhone 5 app updated fine from PC, but will not sync with iPhone.
Steps: Fire iTunes from PC, then connect iPhone, did app updates in iTunes, but did not sync with iPhone (the # updates stays the same next to "APP Store").
It worked fine for iPad App updates. I tried connect, disconnect, did not work. I also read some posted comments, but still cannot resolve the problem. Please help. Thanks!

As a first step, I would suggest quitting your open apps:
iOS: Force an app to close

Then sign out of iTunes:

Restart and/or reset the device:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

Then try syncing again …

I am curious as to how many others have been experiencing the same issue. When I googled the error, it seemed like it was happening extremely often with many people.
We all love their products, but they always come with a lot of issues and horrible customer support.

My Iphone 4 is telling me the same thing and I believe I figured out what the problem is. I had some fraudulent charges on my itunes account, so I call my bank and disputed the charges. Right after I did that, I started getting the message "Your apple ID has been disabled." I just realized today that the charges are not fraudulent, they are "in app purchases." One of my daughters downloaded the game Top Girl which is FREE, but in the game Top Girl you use money in the game to purchase things. It just so happens that the money you use to purchase things is real money MY Money!!!. My daughter thought she was using play money in the game and had no idea she was using real money. She spent $106.00 buying stuff. Now I have to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and pay Itunes. I'm hoping this solves the problem. IPod touch erased when I updated and synced it on a different operating system. Forgot password to backup file. Windows 7 is a bust for the newest version of itunes. Tired of fooling with it, so I tried to update and sync ipod to hubby's laptop.

When update and sync was complete, all my apps, music, and pictures were gone. When I open my itunes account on his computer, they are gone from there as well. i had the same fright
The update takes a LONG time... but with the new system, you can keep using your phone during the update, so it doesnt FEEL like it is updating...
you have probably interrupted the update, just like I did
plug your phone in... "continue the update" or hit the sync button to psh it in... and leave it there
unless you have enabled sync over wifi (which still only works when you are plugged in)
just be patient... and there shouldbe a flashing "synching" symbol at the top of your phone screen

You mention that your iPod nano is no longer recognized by iTunes after an update. Reinstalling iTunes is a good troubleshooting step, and if the device still doesn't appear in iTunes, try the following steps next:
Turn off your computer and your iOS device or iPod, then turn them on again.
Check to make sure that you've installed all required updates for your computer.
Verify that the 30-pin to USB cable or Lightning Connector to USB cable is free of debris and not damaged. If another cable is available, test with that cable instead.
USB cables that are bundled with third-party products or accessories might work only to charge those products and might not transmit data. Also, if you're using a third-party case or extended battery pack, try removing the case and connecting the Apple-supplied USB cable directly to your device.

If the steps above don't solve it, see the section of the article called "Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed" for some additional steps to try on your PC.

i read soemwhere that it automatically gets credited back within 3-5 working days.
waited for more than 7 days but no credit was given back.
m feeling bad that i got charged without making any purchase.

Each time that you add or change the card details on your account (and possibly also if you change your name and address, as the card needs to be registered to the same name and address as on your iTunes account) you will be charged a temporary store holding charge to check that the card details are valid and that the card is active, but it should disappear within a few days or so (the amount of time that it takes will vary by card issuer) : store holding charge.
Give it a few more days, and if it still hasn't disappeared then try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Photos on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data. The iPad is not designed to intended to be a backup storage device.
The transfer of photos from a computer to an iOS device via the iTunes sync process is a one way transfer only - from the computer to the device. Photos are optimized for viewing on the device the photos are being transferred to - the original resolution of the photos is changed, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported.
There are some 3rd party paid utilities that support transferring these photos in the opposite direction.

Are the other iPods models, same version as yours. The 2 New FM Tx may need a new iPod software, which you can update via iTunes.

If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

How do I update and sync a new Iphone without adding an old Iphones Info?

I used to have an I phone 3 that was backed up on my laptop. I then got a new Iphone 4 and have never synced or updated it in a year(I know that sounds crazy lol). I want to sync and back up the info on my newer Iphone 4 without adding what was on my old Iphone 3 to it and replacing my current contacts and data. I am scared that when I go to sync it and update, it will clear my new Iphone 4 info to put on the old contacts and what not.
Will updating and syncing my new Iphone do this, or will it just clear my backed up Iphone 3 info and replace it with my newer Iphone info and back up the new Iphone 4 data? Thank you so much!!!

You need to move all your data from the original computer over to the new computer first.
