I would not recommend this and keep the package cache and the client on the same non-persistent drive and enable the Shared Content Store. If you separate the cache and the App-V client they could get out of sync and strange behaviour can occur.
You can use a temporary local profile with Citrix UPM or UE-V and specify what to roam/save.
You can use the Shared Content Store so packages will stream over the network. When the user logs on there is a publishing phase where shortcuts etc are created for the user, this will take some time.
Are you using the App-V full infrastructure?
Are you using a boot disk, partition or PXE in combination with PVS?

I've just read the SAP NW IDM Identity Provider Implementation Guide. It seems very interesting. One question though : it seems the Identity Provider must be deployed on a NW CE 7.2 system.
So we end up having a NW CE 7.1 Ehp1 for IDM UI with IDM runtime, designtime and database (all on the same server) and we must have another server or another SAP instance for the IdP with CE 7.2 ?
Will IDM 7.1 SP5 UI also be compatible with / be developed for CE 7.2 to avoid another SAP instance ?
Finally will Windows 2008 be officially certified for IDM 7.1 ?

Hello Petr, I think this might be a problem. Probably you would be able to do what you want to do within a portal setup, where IdM is providing content to that portal. However, the development would take place in the portal and not per se be a development in the IdM UI. As I understand it the IdM UI is configurable to some extent, but not changeable by customers.

I have been using firefox on my desktop with windows xp for years with no problems and suddenly refused to open. The error message reads "unable to locate component. plc4.dll was not found." What does that mean? How do I fix it?

The error message also suggests that I unintall and reinstall firefox, I tried that but it does not fix the problem.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then disable Virtualization and reinstall Firefox.
Other security software may have similar features to prevent Firefox from updating files properly.

Options for deployment via Remote Desktop Services / Terminal Server

Currently we have volume licenses for CS which is deployed via remote desktop services in a multi-server load balanced farm.
When reaching out to support, they informed me that CC cannot be deployed via RDS/terminal services.
Seeing that CS is discontinued, how does Adobe suggest deployment of their apps via RDS/Terminal services?
The support rep really didn't have an answer for me.
I find it hard to believe that Adobe's going to abandon deployment of their apps in the enterprise as things are moving towards thin clients rather than traditional desktops.
We'd like to avoid needing to go VDI instead of RDS if possible.
I'd imagine VDI would have the same licensing issues assuming you don't want to have a dedicated VM for each user rather than having a shared pool of VMs.

Dear All...........I am looking to build a solution for our helpdesk who have to install OS and Applications to customers laptops on daily basis.
At the moment, I am trying to understand different aspects so there are some confusions which I would like for others to address:
1. Can we create different OS Images as VMs for Deployment? Is this possible? Or we can only have VHDs for different OS Images?
2. Can we have an OS Image with VMs inside it to be deployed? Such as when we deploy an OS to a laptop, the deployed OS also has a VM inside it for use with legacy applications?
3. Once OS is deployed on the laptop, I want users to access the applications through a centralized system and install them as they like it. Applications should install on the laptop and run from there as well (no streaming)? Is this possible.
4.   Keeping above requirements in mind, is it possible to implement User Experience Virtualization as well in this imaging scenario? By keeping User Data and Settings somewhere else so that if they lose the laptop, new installation does
not take much time and not much data is lost either.
5.   In such a scenario, can we also implement Bitlocker in the OS Image? OR is it not possible? If so, does Bitlocker support Data Leakage Protection?

BI Publisher Desktop for Excel

Hi all,
I have installed Oracle BI Publisher Desktop 11.1.5 for loading XML files. The expected new tab in the Main tab bar "BI Publisher" is showing only in MS Word. I need it for Excel too.
I tried to customize the ribbon but there isn't any tab called "BI Publisher" as there is in MS Word.
Is there anything else i should specify or there is a problem after the installation?
Version: Oracle 11g.
OS: Windows 7 32-bit system type

There is no pull down menu for Excel spreadsheet layout. You have to enter the field names by hand. You do this by renaming the cell from A1 to the XML data field. There is a very specific naming convention and you must get that correct.
That will be sheet one and then you need to create a sheet two name XDO_METADATA. You need to enter very specific information in this sheet in a very specific format.
Once you have done this you will need to open the template viewer. In the template view you will open both the excel spreadsheet and the XML data file. Using this you will create the XSL file which you will upload to BI Publisher.
It is not pretty but it works.

. I save the document in a .PDF format
. This document is sent to my IPAD with IOS 8.1.2
. In this .PDF document I am no more able to open hyperlink connection

Hyperlinks can be of several types. What are you linking to? Exactly what
application did you test the hyperlinks with on the Mac? What application
did you use to create the hyperlinks?

It shows the iPad is listed under the Prepare logo up top as 1 but under supervise none are shown. Although it does show itself in iTunes. Also the profile I created is fresh and has no errors. We have tryed nearly everything I cna think of and online forums are not giving us to much info on this error.

No SOA configured servers found for deploying

I am very much novice in BPEL. I have created a very small BPEL process and tried to deploy it in Weblogic Server.I get this message in the deployement log:

I checked the entreprise manager (EM) & I discovered that I have no SOA folder ,no soa_infra and no managed server called soa_server1 in my managed servers list!!

Login to weblogic admin console and go to section "Deployments". Make sure that application SOA-INFRA is in active state. If it is not then check SOA server startup log to find out any errors which could not let SOA-INFRA deploy. You may refer -
