I need your help... Iam not longer able to use my Adobe Premiere Elements 10.
Everytime I start the program, the following message and problem in detail occur:

It worked perfect before, but now... it doesn not. I don't know what to do. About one year ago, a friend of mine gave me this program as a present. He installed everything. Iam afraid of reinstalling the program, because Iam not sure if I need a licence, code or something like that. It's a legally bought product, don't worry. Could I find informations about my licence on my computer? I don't have any contact to this friend, so... he won't help me anymore.

I reinstalled Adobe Premiere Elements yesterday. I was afraid because of the serial number, because I read, that it has to be erased before beginning the reinstallation. But the problem was, that I couldn't start the program to erase the number, so I called the support, although they don't offer telephone support concerning Premiere Elements. He told me, that it shouldn't be a problem, if I cannot erase the serial number. It worked without erasing it, but It's unclear if this would work everytime I begin a new installation.
After I reinstalled it, Adobe Premiere Elements worked! But it only worked for yesterday. As I started the program today, it didn't work anymore.
The same problem as I desribed it above occured again. I was searching for the crash cause several hours. Iam so frustrated... Is it because of this tbb.dll modul? (see first post). Is it because of NVIDEA? I downloaded the newest version of Java, but it didn't work either. Is this a viral issue? Iam totally desperated, please guys... help me!
I would even pay for someone, who solves this problem for me. It has to stop!
These APP-Crash problems seem to occur in other programs too I read. And everytime I read those posts about those problems, nobody couldn't find a solution or... they FOUND a solution, but did not post/tell it after.
PLEASE HELP ME! I thought about buying a new software, but it might occur with that again. What shall I do?

    I am not sure if the following will target the "msvvcr90.dll" but consider the following for the "crash" aspects
    1. Delete the Elements Organizer 11 settings file named psa.prf found

    and in the Organizer Folder is the psa.prf file that you delete or disable by renaming it from psa.prf to psa.prfOLD.
    2. If the Elements Organizer 11 will stay open long enough, create a new catalog.

    3. Some times certain formats can bring the Elements Organizer down. What kind of files have you been
    importing into the Elements Organizer and are the crashes associated with certain source files?

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 12 has stopped working

    Running Premiere Elements 12 since last September.  Although we don't always get along, it would always launch for me.  This problem has been happening since Wednesday.  I believe Microsoft updates were applied Wednesday morning, but not sure this affects the Elements startup.  I applied the Premiere Elements 12 update on Wednesday morning, I though the installation said update 12.1.0.0, but it could have been 12.0.0.1.  I remember a 12 and a 1 and a zero.  The program starts, displays the spash screen, I click on Video Editor, which present  the Existing Project or New Project tabs, clicking either of these causes the problem.  Here are the details-

    I find is interesting that I applied the update, but the app version is listed as 12.0.0.0, may give someone a clue.  Control Panel says Premiere Elements 12.1.0.0 is installed.  OS is Windows 7 54-bit.  8GB RAM.

    The first question is "If you believe the problem set in with Microsoft Updates, did you roll back the Microsoft Updates?"
    Your screenshoot looks OK. Where is the 12.0.0.0 that you say you see?
    1. Check out the Adobe Premiere Elements Previews Folder and the Media Cache Folder for pile ups of preview files and conformed audio.
    (See Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/12.0). Also check for pile ups of conformed video (See Edit Menu/Preferences/Media and Media Cache Database and its "Clean" button.)
    2. See Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks and let us know where they are directed and how much free hard drive space exists at that location(s).
    3. Is the problem confined to all projects (new and old)?
    4. If you have not already, please delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file.

    and in the 12.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not solve the problem, then delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.

    I followed your instruction, but it doesn't help.
    Here what I did:
    1.) Deinstallation of Adobe Premiere Elements 12
    2.) Deinstallation of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 
    3.) Delete the above mentioned directories 1 and 1a
    4.) Restart the computer
    5.) Shut off the Virus protection (trend micro)
    6.) Installation of Adobe Premiere Elements 12
    7.) Restart the computer
    8.) Test of Adobe Premiere Elements 12 -> still crashes
    9.) Installation of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12
    10.) Restart the computer
    11.) Test of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12  -> runs without any problem
    12.) Start Software-Update for Premiere and Photoshop from 12 to 12.1; with success now!
    13.) Restart the Computer
    14.) Test of Adobe Premiere Elements 12.1 -> still crashes
    15.) Test of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.1 -> runs with out any Problem
    16.) Test of Adobe Premiere Elements 12.1 with TrendMicro Off -> still crashes

    It's simply keeps crashing when zooming in and out the timeline and when browsing through the media.
    All photos are in jpg and video is AVI imported from Sony HC3 using DV Tape and Premere Element 4.0

  • Another crash problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 4

    another crash question!  burned a dvd of project, saw something i needed to change as i watched the dvd, tried to get back into project, but crashed time and time again.  have tried any and all suggestions in the forum for other crash problems, but cannot fix.  can anyone help?  below is error message and my equipment.  using Windows Vista.  I want to go back to Windows XP, never had a problem.  thanks to anyone who has an idea.

    I'm not sure what's up at this point, if doing a Save As and deleting your render files doesn't fix your glitch (and assuming you've got adequate, freshly defragmented room on your drives for the program to work).

    Renaming the presets folder can help. (The program will automatically make a new one when you next launch it):

  • Just installed Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - Crashes upon opening a new Project

    I've just installed Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Elements 10 on one of our marketing user's PC, and while Photoshop works like a charm, Premiere Elements 10 crashes every time you try to create a new project.  I have done a total uninstall and reinstall, but get the same results.  Here is the crash report generated by Windows (7 Pro x64)

    I had read about the fingerprint problem in the forums and deactivated that before my first post.
    I am reasonably proficient with CS6 web/design, but I don't have a lot of tech knowledge.
    While working today, I had trouble with Acrobat X and had to uninstall/reinstall.  I have done more restarts in the last 36 hours!
    I uninstalled/reinstalled PrE ... in case something that I had done had helped!  Organizer opens but not PrE.
    I will put the EventViewer stuff at the end of the post.  I didn't know there was an EventViewer until today!
    It says something about PCI bus.  I went to control panel, etc., devices and there were two instances of PCI bus.  I asked Windows to update the driver for both and got a message that it had the most up to date driver.  Also indicated they were working properly.  When I sent the link at the bottom of the EventViewer info to Windows, I got a screen saying it was an unknown error.
    I bought PrE on Saturday ... to replace NERO.  I thought it would be more consistent with the other programs I use, but maybe I should cut my losses and go back to NERO???  What do you think?

  • Error message when downloading Adobe Premiere Elements 11

    When attempting to download the Adobe Premiere Elements 11 from the cd, I'm getting an error message that reads: "The installation process has encountered an error while installing Shared Technologies. Please restart your system and try again".I'm using a Windows 7 Operating System. When I attempt the download again, I get the same error message.

    Many of us have encounted this issue. The problem is not confined to a particular version or computer operating. Many homemade remedies and scientific ones have worked for some and not others. The most recent fix was offered by an ID by the name of Maud Barbara and seems to have been the answer for that user and at least one more.

  • No Disk Error for Adobe Premiere Elements 12

    I installed Adobe Premiere Elements 12 to my PC. Everytime I load the software, I get this annoying alert saying that there is no disk located error. I can get it to go away if I click on try again a bunch of times, but I want to get rid of this problem. It should NOT be happening. SOME BODY TELL ME WHAT TO DO PLEEAASE!

    There was no definitive answer. Still waiting for follow up to the latest line of questions in that thread.
    Suggestions about this being a long time issue are a bit misleading. In versions of Premiere Elements earlier than 12, there was a SmartSound/Sonicfire Pro 5  feature which appeared to be linked to the disc error message. And, updating SmartSound/Sonicfire Pro 5 was claimed to be the cause and remedy for the disc error message.

    However, SmartSound/Sonicfire Pro 5 is no longer a feature in Premiere Elements 12. Premiere Elements 12 does have a Music Score feature, similar in principle to SmartSound soundtracks, but the SmartSound feature is gone in version 12.

    Adobe Premiere Elements 11 (BOX)
    After adding any the timeline material ( pictures or music or video) , 2-3 seconds hanging.
    Then closes without any notification.
    This program gave me a friend, not for need. He used it to me.
    By not knowing at first I installed a Pr, and then my friend temporarily deactivate the license .
    In the "Help" menu is available only " Deactivate" ...
    It is a problem with the activation or something else?

    I don't want to upgrade Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 because has not enought new functions but need new Premiere with Organizer.
    Does Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 will work correctly with Organizer of Premiere 10?

    It is possible to use both of them, seperately though. If you wish to do use some interoperable feature, that wont be possible, since, as Steve said, they both use thier respective organizer.

    If i Run an old project direct from the file PE 9 it works and then go to a new project it works but from the start up  it just closes down.

    The important question is "Is this Premiere Elements 11 Mac or Windows?" If Mac, did you purchase it as the Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor from the Mac App Store?
    If it is Premiere Elements 11 Windows or Premiere Elements 11 Mac from Adobe, then you can download installation files at this late date from the following web site and then insert your purchased serial number during installation.

    If you do decide to go this route, make sure that you read Note: Very Important Instructions on that web site page, otherwise you will run into an Access Denied message.

    What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Did you have the opportunity to update 12 to 12.1 Update yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so when you get the opportunity.
