Apple Earpods Replacement Support?

I have a pair of Apple Earpods I purchased without an iPhone, as they came out after I received my iPhone 4. The problem is they are beginning to short out whenever I walk. I know it is not the headphone jack because when I use the old Apple Earbuds that came with my iPhone 4 the problem is non-existent. I have tested this with other pairs of my friends headphones, it is the earpods that are the problem.
To receive support for the warranty, I need a Serial Number according to the AppleCare Line.
The problem is I threw away the box when I received the Earpods. The only thing I have is my order number and invoice in the "My Orders" Section from the website section of the account management. Is there any way I can get the Serial number from the order number and then move on to get the headphones replaced?
Thanks!

There is no SN for the Earpods, what AppleCare is asking you for is the SN of your phone. However, the Earpods should still be covered by Apple's one-year hardware warranty. Take them & receipt to a local Apple store.

  • Apple Earpods Warranty online replacement?

    Hi everyone,
I am in the UK and my Earpods (that came with my iPhone 5) have turned faulty and I am trying to setup a self serve warrenty replacment online.
However when I choose the iPhone accessory options, the only headphone replacment options are for 'In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic (purchased seperately) £43.20'
I have entered my iPhone 5 Serial number, and selected trouble with an accessory however that is the only headphone replacment.
Any ideas of how I get the Earpods replaced via online selfserve?

    No
if you say it doesn't work .................
If you can return to an Apple retail store they will replace over the counter ,the earpods are covered by the iPhone warranty

My hard drive continually has the floating beach ball and will take massive time to fulfill a request. And then will not boot up...so then I have to do a restore and rebuild hard drive from a past saved time machine version. Works for a little bit...then the floating beachball comes more and more...until it will not boot up again. So then I restore from a previous time machine saved version....and again it works for a day or so ... until it happens again. Now it's happening faster and faster...so I think my hard drive is dying.

  • If Apple EarPods just randomly decided to break into 2 pieces and get stuck in the headphone jack, will Apple replace or repair the iPad for free?

After I was done listening to some music, I of course puller out the EarPods from the headphone jack. But then I noticed how the tip broke into 2, so half of the tip is stuck in the headphone jack. Since they were Apple EarPods, and I didn't inflict any damage to them, would I receive a free repair or replacement on my iPad?

Are you still under warranty? You're going to have a tough time convincing them it wasn't your fault they broke, I predict. In any case, someone else had a good idea on one of these types of threads: take it to an electronics shop as they probably deal with this situation quite frequently.

  • If I send in my Apple Earpods in for repair will they charge me anything cause my parents won't fill out the info unless they know they don't have to pay anything?

A couple of days ago my iPod 5Generation cracked and I had to get a new one, and when I opened up the box the Earpods were all bent and scratched up. I was wondering if Apple will replace them if they were broken when they were bought. My iPod 5Generation is under a warranty with Best Buy. Also, it was under warranty before it broke. Please Help???

I believe they will, yes, but customer support might know better.

  • Apple EarPods Speaker Messed Up

So I bought my Apple EarPods almost two months ago, and the left speaker that goes into the ear canal has stopped working. Will Apple replace them? Or what?

Hey, I realize is post is pretty old, but for future quarries regarding the EarPods, I have found a solution.  After turning in my EarPods for very low volume in the left ear, I found the same problem with my new pair.  The difference was with the right ear instead of the left.  For whatever reason I found that when I placed the EarPods in opposite ears, (which you will have to turn them around) they fit more comfortably, and sound better.  The main issue with this is that the stereo in entirely inverted.  So in other words, when your watching Game of Thrones on HBO GO, when the door slams in the left ear, the door is actually slamming on the right.   I contacted Apple support and they informed me this was unintentional.  I also notice that the background noise cancellation is increased with this switch.  Also, if an administrator is viewing this post, it appears to be that the main component breaks frequently, especially considering that the EarPods were purchased from Apple Retail, thus preventing potential 3rd party defection.

  • Apple Mobile Device Support won't install, keeps rolling back..

I'm using Windows 7 64bit and i have everything updated. Since I've upgraded my iTunes to version 10.1, I can't sync my iPod Touch with it anymore.
Each time I plug my iPod in,
    - the iPod could be detected by windows but not iTunes, and I keep getting the same error message " "This iPod cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64bit version of iTunes""
    - my iPod shows up as "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" in devices and printers
After searching through the internet, I've tried many fixes but none of them worked. I've tried,
    - downloading the latest iTunes and uninstalling it and reinstalling it again and again
    - uninstalling step by step and completely removed everything as guided by this website (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923)
    - extracting the AMDS MSI file from the iTunes64setup and run it separately
    - copying the registry files and the whole Apple Mobile Device Support folder from a Vista machine as recommended in some websites
    - creating a new user account with admin rights and reinstalling iTunes again after completely removing everything
I've read a post (http://discussions.info.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2531860) in which the user encounters a similar problem as well, and apparently the user solved this problem by replacing the files in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\netaapl64.infamd64_neutral26aa9fb28983e9b5
    C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\usbaapl64.infamd64_neutral36363f69e6e22c1b
with files he had extracted from the CAB files within the AMDS MSI installer from the iTunes64Setup download.
But the problem is, whenever I try to extract the netaap164 and usbaap164 files from the AMDS MSI installer, using WinRAR, it says that the archive is corrupted and thus I won't be able to extract these files out.
Can anyone give me any suggestions or teach me what to do? I'm really stucked and lost now. Thanks in advance. =)

After a couple days searching the internet for a solution I pieced togetherwhat my problem was from several forums and fixed it; maybe my solution/problemis similar to all of yours. (NOTE: I’m running Windows XP Professional, 32-bit,with Service Pack 3 – so you’ll have to translate my issue into your Windows 7format because I have no idea how to operate things is that version of Windows.)
I traced the error to the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver under"Universal Serial Bus Controllers" as others have too (everything inthe iTunes installation would install perfectly well except for Apple MobileDevice Support). However, my problem wasn't with the driver itself -- I had amissing .dll file on my computer for the Hardware Update Wizard (whenever Iwould 'right click’ any USB driver and select "Update", HardwareUpdate Wizard would not open; nothing would happen).
So, I went searching for this problem next, and I found this website: http://kf.livejournal.com/208963.html?view=2699587#t2699587
The page suggests that the problem is a missing .dll file called “newdev.dll”that should be located in “C:\WINDOWS\system32\” (again, I don’t know theequivalent folder for Windows 7, so someone else will need to find out where “newdev.dll”belongs) – I did a search of the .dll file on my computer and found it missing. However, I found another copy of it on my computer using “Seach Everything” (foundhere: http://download.cnet.com/Everything/3000-2379_4-10890746.html)– but, you can also use the Windows Search tool. There were copies located in “C:\Windows\system32\dllcache”and “C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386”. (I would suggest searching for itrather than locating it manually in Explorer in case its in a hidden folder.)
I copied one of the preexisting files of “newdev.dll” and pasted it into “C:\WINDOWS\system32\”.Then I tried re-installing Apple Mobile Device Support and it worked (norolling back installation). When I plugged my iPhone back into my USB “AppleMobile Device USB Driver” reappeared under “Universal Serial Bus controllers”in “Computer Management” – all I had to do was “Enable” it again and I hadaccess to my iPhone in iTunes again.
Also, I had copied a preexisting file of AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi to mydesktop prior to uninstalling everything, so when I tried to reinstall iTunesand Apple Mobile Device Support failed to install all I had to do later when Ifound the solution was reinstall AMDS. If you do not have a copy of “AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi”try completely uninstalling everything (like so many other forums suggest, asdoes Apple, here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925),and reinstall iTunes with the Hardware Update Wizard .dll file replaced. (I can’tsay if this entire reinstallation will work since I only had to install AMDS.)
Hope my problem was your problem as well.

  • What is the last version of the Apple OS that supports Eudora and Quake III? (I'm at 10.4.11)

    Hi There,
I am having vertical line issues with my G4 PowerMac Quicksilver (April 2002)..  Red or purple lines and sometimes they connect to the pointer arrow.
I thought it was the graphics card but when I ran the Apple Hardware Test Disk version   1.2.5 it failed at the Logic board, although it's an after market Logic board because one of my (2) 1 gig processors died a few years back so I don't know if the hardware test disk is still valid with an after market Logic board?
Also What is the last version of the Apple OS that supports Eudora 6.2.4  and Quake III? (I'm at 10.4.11)
Thanks for any and all help, I think my time is limited in my old Mac..
    Eric

    Hi-
I'd strongly recommend replacing the thermal compound on the Radeon 9800 Pro. It could very easily be a simple matter of lack of cooling which is causing your issue.
    I have a tutorial here:
    C874D84E-96DD-4DFF-9566-7C66BE065BB5.html
    16196A0F-952B-47ED-A9F9-91F7B0ECA431.html
    Use Arctic cooling MX-4 compound.
As for drivers or ROM updates, if the card is a flashed one, don't bother with the firmware. All ROMs are the latest firmware.
In Tiger, there is a retail driver update that you can try:
    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/jan2005updater.aspx
    No updates needed for Leopard.
    Eudora should be fine:
    http://lowendmac.com/misc/10mr/mb0910.html#1
Quake is fine. This coincides with my observations:

  • How can I view the videos of adobe flash player that apple no longer support?

How can I view the videos from the internet and networking of adobe flash player that apple no longer support?

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • Apple TV replacement?

I bought my Apple TV at a pawnshop, I took it home and hooked everything up. It would not find my wifi and after doing some research I restored it, reset it and went through all the troubleshooting process and still nothing......I went online and I found out apple did a replacement program for some that had a certain serial number sequence and mine qualified for that. My question is would Apple still replace it even though I bought it at a pawn shop and don't have the original receipt?

    Hello,
My Apple TV suddenly stopped seeing Wifi networks... I have checked the forums and My Apple TV has DRHN and that the fourth and fifth letters of the serial number contains one of the following:
H9  HC  HD  HF  HG  HH  HJ  HK  HL  HM  HN  HP  HQ  HR  HT  HV  HW  HX  J1  J2  J3  J4  J5  J6  J7  J8  J9
However Apple Chat support ( in Mexico ) , claim they do not know anything about this replacement program or recall for this model of Apple TV...  Does anybody has any official information from Apple about it? I need to provide them an official page ( not a forum page ) where it says this recall program is valid...
Does anybody has an official page for this?
    Regards,

  • Apple Product Replacement & broken screens

Before I box up my Ipod and pay for a courier to the repair center I would like to know if the "Apple Product Replacement Request" will repair a shattered screen? I have an estimate of $125, but when filling out the request there was no option under "display" for broken screens just malfunctioning ones. Am I better off taking it to an Apple Store (2hrs away)? Any advice?

Actually Apple will replace your iPod with a refurbished one. Apple charges a flat-rate depending upon iPod model and capacity.  That is why a broken screen is not specifically stated.  For further info see:

The play/pause button works great as well as the volume up, however the control doesn't respond when I press the volume down. The earpod has not been exposed to any water or the sort. Why is this happening?
