how is that? i hear the apple trolls saying??

you cant use paypal on the store as only 3% of the wortld has a credit card.. and foreigners in Thailand cant get one even if you open a ten million dollar company. They have a policy with the banks that they do not issue credit cards to foreigners. This means that apple loses about 15 movies and 4 albums and 5 apps a week i would purchase, and would have purchased about 150 thousand baht of stuff on the store by now if they accepted paypal..
There are millions of people just like me..

a store totally full up with stuff you really want, but can't buy in any method. Even phne the online assistance can not make a 150 thousand baht sale to me because no way of accepting the money. Seheez if my online store didnt take paypal that would be 20 thousand bucks a month less for me.. and im an individual entrepreneur.. just imagine how many hundreds of millions of dollars apple would make if they had paypal!

I hate to rain on everyones parade, because I know everyone is excited about the new iPhone and the new Droid, however I must. I was wondering why I've been getting charged 7 dollars by best buy for a year and a half or maybe even more. Every month 10th of month for at least a year and a half this charge has been showing up on my checking account. The only reason I can think this is the case is that I bought a new phone from them like 2 years ago and maybe the tech accidently gave me some sort of data plan I never asked for. However, I have not been using that phone for about 3 months now. I don't so. I usually stay away from service plans and extended warranties, because once I bought a PS3 controller with the 2 year extended warranty and the joystick stopped working but they said that I must have caused this problem so they cannot replace it. I was like so what you're saying is that your extended warranty that is suppose replace broken equipment doesn't really cover anything and they said "it only covers normal wear and tear. Like if a button sticks of the joystick loses its cover". I was like that's fine and I bought it on another controller (stupidly idk why) and the button stick and was ok I should be fine and they will replace it. They said no we cannot replace it because you tampered with it I was like "NO KIDDING IT'S MY CONTROLLER!!!" After that I've avoided service and protection plans and that was like 2 years ago. Could it really still be from something like that? I'm just worried it's a hidden charge I didn't see on the old phones contract or some sort of data fee or something I cannot find. But thank you I will take a look at some receipts and records and see if I can find another protection plan I bought. Thanks

Why are you changing your ID?
iTunes/app purchases are locked to the account that purchased them. For some actions like updating apps you have to sign into the account that purchased them. Just changing the ID does not not delete any media from the iPod.
When you delete the iCloud account for the iPod should should be offered the option to leave contacts on the iPod. See:

My three young sons pooled their money and bought an iPod touch a few years ago. The oldest decided he wanted his own. We bought him one for Christmas last year, and I set it up using the same Apple ID. My oldest son downloaded some games but soon found whenever his brothers played the same games, the progress and changes were transferred to his device and vice versa. Is there a way to create a new Apple ID for the old device? If I am able to do that, will the younger kids lose all their pictures and videos? I am not concerned about them losing games or music. They have very little paid content on their iPod, but the older one has hit the age where he wants to start downloading music and better apps. Thank you for any help!!

Changing the ID does not erase any Data from the device
CHANGE ID
The ID is used in the following locations and you have to change them.
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
Settings>iCloud
and Settings>iTunes and App store
You have to sign out of ID (for iCloud you delete the iCloud account from the iPod) and sign in with other ID.
Note the following are resolved if you use Family Sharing (iOS 8 and later):
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
If the iPod has iOS 7 or later then you have the enter the password for Apple ID presently sign in Settings>iCloud.
Also, a Restriction can be set (Settings>General>Restrictions) the prevents changing accounts

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

HT203167 Can't locate song list of the items purchased after buying a new computer. Removed 5 previous computers and follwed instruction and find but only on song of hundreds. Apple is a pain. I don't get the high brand appeal and goodwill. $+,+time,-

6th computer purchase. Followed weak Apple instructions,...removed 5 computers, etc. Called Apple service desk. Followed instructions sent by rep that were stated to be a sure fix and easy.
Lost several hundreds of worth of music purchased before.
Can't understand the Apple appeal and goodwill.
Always overpriced, waste of time, lack of features and poor customer help. It's all about sales, image, marketing and growing. Little to do with concern for the customer value.
Any ideas on how to find the library of purchased (paid in full) songs are appreciated.

I love the new version of Grid view but some of the other changes feel like they still need some fine tuning. And I miss cover flow even if I didn't use it that often...
You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
Ctrl-B to turn on the menu bar.
Ctrl-S to turn on the sidebar (your device should be listed here as before).
Ctrl-/ to turn on the status bar.
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour.
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (but perhaps it does more)
If you want to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and suppporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

Apple Wake Up! Millions of iPad user have backup hang probelm

I'm one of unhappy iPad users that face problem because iTunes fail to backup iPad. It would freeze when the backup progreass bar move to about 90% everytime
I have searched the web and found millions or users have this problem. No clear solution so far, and Apple just keep their mouth shut on this issue for years.
I don't see any intention from APple to have this problem solve

Apple Configurator: Hundreds of Individualized iPads?

The Apple Configurator page assures that "Apple Configurator can also be used to personalize devices with data and documents for specific users."
I can import apps from the Volume Purchasing Program into Apple Configurator and sync them to new devices. But can I personalize each iPad so that only apps I select get synced onto each device, in a process that is streamlined and tollerable? For example, within the Apple Configurator interface, will I see a list of all my available apps and be able to select each individual app I want synced onto my new device?
Also, when I use the Apple Configurator, will I bypass the whole having to use redemption codes generated by the VPP, in that Apple Configurator will internally monitor how many appls I have remaining and not require me to type in the codes?

Credit card being declined.
I have had 2 different indicators from iTunes that something I have done is wrong.
1. iTunes does not accept my security code.
-This could be caused by the details held by my card's company/bank not having the corresponding details on file.
This is not the case.
2. It mentioned that because my account had been accessed from another source (my iPhone) I now had to re enter my details to continue making purchases (which includes updating apps on iPhone).
So I re entered my details. Then a notification also came up telling me that I had an outstanding balance that had to be paid (honest mistake though I'd love to know how exactly anyone comes to owe iTunes) and that this particular payment source had been declined and I must enter valid details.
Well thats weird, because this card IS valid.
So here's how I see whats happened. I've tried to make a purchase. The payment was processed via my >>>DEBIT<<< MasterCard and was declined because I didn't have enough funds. This is fine. This happens all the time. Its cash. You go to pay for something, "you don't have enough, oh well you don't get the product". Except it would seem that iTunes has seen this as "Your credit card has declined, well, you must be some poor bloke who we may have some problem getting payment from so were going to put a hold on ALL future purchases you try to make on this card."
Oh, that's okay! I'll just go to my wallet and get another one of my 1,000,000 other credit cards I have and just use that. That's right, I don't have one.
It would have been fine if iTunes allowed you to just select "none" as a payment method because that way I could re-enter my card details (which now has money in it) and it would be processed just fine. But no. iTunes will no longer accept my card and my account and all of it's apps have been put on hold.
My only choice seems to be to apply for a credit card for the sake of a 99c app. Brilliant.

I wouldn't say "this is fine" and it is not cash.
In many places, attempting to use a debit card with no funds (even if you don't know there are no funds) is fraud and is illegal.

Upgrade to Snow Leopard - it's compatible with the latest version of iTunes, and still supports PowerPC applications.

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

I have a big problem with my MacbookPro. I bought my MacbookPro in december 2010 in Thailand. 5 days ago My MacbookPro suddenly switched off and never start again.
So I sent it to Apple Dealer in Phuket, Thailand to check. Now they told me it is the main-board failure and i have to change it on my own cost.
And it is 26000 Thai baht (870 US Dollars). How comes that Apple do not take care for my cost.
My MacbookPro is not two years old. For this price i better buy a new PC notebook.
Can some of you please help me for a solution or answer? I use Apple almost 10 years and never have problem like this. Or Apple do not taking care of their customers or quality products anymore? lertlid trzop

One computer iTunes can support multiple Apple IDs. One iPod can also support multiple IDs. Don't do an "erase and sync." Simply add your Apple ID to the computer's iTunes and to the iPod. The only nuisance is app updating, especially if you do the updates from the computer, rather than from the iPod.
