Apple TV latest generation + TCL TV: display problem!
Indeed, I got my apple TV yesterday, and when I connect it to my TV, images/sounds disapear sometimes for one second or two then come back.... it's really borring! any idea the TV is : TCL L26HDF11TA:

No, it happens when I use the HDMI channel only. Apple TV is the first device I use with the TV. So not especially during streaming.
Unfortunately, I don't have input device to use with the TV... The HDMI wire has been purchased via AppleStore as well as Apple TV.
I read a post on this forum about problems with Macbook HDMI and TCL TV... (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3134950?start=0&tstart=0) so... i imagine it's the price to pay for a cheap and unknown TV :'(

I purchased a moive on apple tv (latest generation) and its not on my mac iTunes
i purchased a movie on my apple tv but when i tried to transfer it to another device i didnt find it in my itunes mac pro. is there a way to transfer movies purchased on apple tv to my mac?
I do not think so but you should be able to re download from the iTunes Store onto your MacBookPro then you can sync onto the other devices.

Latest Firefox version has display problems
Hello guys,
There is a major issue with the latest Firefox version for Android.
most of the times it displyas half-black web pages.
This is not related to a specific website.
also sometimes, when i click links, they are not responding. actually, in older versions, at least when you click a link, it vibrates and make sound.
please fix these issues. firefox was great. why did you ruin it with these updates. they were unecessary.

Display problem after apple repair
Hello everyone,
Few weeks ago had this problem with vertical lines on my iMac display, which apple told me it was a display problem and they needed to changed it. So far so good... despite the 300pounds i had to pay for a new screen but anyway....... now look what happened...
i was wondering if anyone has seen this problem before (i wish i could browse on internet about this problem, the thing is: with my screen like this i cant distinguish what is or isn't a good image when i watch videos/pic posted from other users regarding displays problems)... do you think is any graphic problem? or display again?

Problem with Apple tv 1st gen. and Itunes display
I am having an issue with my apple tv first generation. I had to reset it, sometimes I have to (to discuss another time) and when it came back up the movies, internet, settings options were fine, except for the music. All it displays in that option is My Music, there are no other options for favorites, search, etc. I tried resetting it again, logging off and back in to itunes, logging on to my network again, but nothing has changed. Does anybody know what my problem is and how I can fix it> Thanks.
I'm having the exact same issue. Nothing in the "Music" menu except "My Music". I Noticed it this afternoon when I woke my Apple TV from standby. The disappearance, in my case, was not related to a reset. My Apple TV has not been reset since the power went out here several weeks ago. Though I obviously don't know for sure, I'm guessing that it's some kind of store problem and we most likely won't be able to correct it from our end.

I have updated my apple tv 2nd generation to the latest software but it shows the itunes symbol with the usb. Anyone know why this might be? Thanks
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore. -
Recently in the last 2-3 weeks, I've noticed that downloading a movie from iTunes via Apple TV has become painfully slow. Previuosly, I could download an HD movie in less than a minute. My internet speed is 30MPS. I installed the lastest Apple TV software. Nothing else has changed. I have the latest generation Apple TV.Is anybody else having a similar problem? Appreciate any ideas.
The limitation of approximately 200 titles has been discussed before, we can't be sure whether it will be something that gets fixed or not. I'm not really sure what your other issues are, if I use search instead of lists, I find whatever I want and am able to rent or purchase subject to those options being available for that particular title.

I have two Apple ID's and it's casing problems on my contact list as it repeats the address in somecases and in others it only displays email address for a contact. I want to have the same contact list and details on all my devices (iMac, iPhone 4S & iPad Mini)? Is it possible?
By using 1 of the 2 ID's instead of both, choose one, move everything in the other one to the one you chose and stop using it.

Reporting display problems to Apple
If you are having display problems, you should not be waiting for others to complain or just sit there stewing in your juices. Call AppleCare and tell them what's going on. People in IT have told me that one of the most frustrating things that they encounter are customers who do not complain about real problems. If they don't complain, no one knows that there's a problem, and the customer just gets depressed or hostile for mysterious reasons. You may discover that someone has been doing some kind of awkward work-around for a software problem or bug, and when you ask then how long that has been going on, they may say 5 years!
I just called AppleCare earlier today and carefully explained the symptoms of my screen and why it bothered me. I tried to explain that the gradient problem is triggering alarm bells in my brain that there must be some kind of vision problem. The guy on the other end was very patient, asked questions, and really seemed to listen. He admitted to me that they need to know this stuff. I finally had to get off the phone because of a lightning storm, but I got a case number to continue the conversation later this weekend.Let us know what happens! I've also been on the phone with Apple -- three times in the past week -- and I've gotten two different people to actually admit, in a sort of weak way, that they're actually aware of the problem. They want my machine to go to "repair", since I'm past the 14 days, first suggesting that I bring it to the Apple Store far from my neighborhood, and then telling me that I can get a site visit after complaining that I hardly have time to get there (totally true) and I'm small and the thing is difficult for me to carry (totally true), although I have to wait for my extended AppleCare, which I purchased yesterday, to arrive in the mail. One of them told me that she thought she's heard of some of these problems actually being fixed. We'll see.
Two of them have suggested that I try an archive/reinstall, just to confirm that it's not a software problem, although both admitted that it was probably a hardware problem anyway. Has anyone tried that? Has anyone wondered what that original iMac update 1.0 actually did?
I've been trying to emphasize my theory about a DC offset on the LCD inverter output, and supposedly they are taking notes, but I wonder if any of that actually makes it up to the engineers. I'm hardly a crank. I have science, very advanced math, and IT backgrounds, and did a lot of tinkering with electronics as a kid. I really wish I could talk directly to the engineers.
And speaking from a long IT background, I can say that one of the most dangerous customer relations things you can do is deny that a real problem exists. That tactic always backfires with a vengeance. -
The latest version of itunes on my imac keeps quitting while playing through apple tv. Anyone having the same problem?
Are you downloading iTunes form an Apple website or somewhere else? If the answer is somewhere else, try downloading it from Apple. Click on iTunes in the black menu bar above and go from there.
