Applet with jar file doesn't work in iframe

I have weired problem.
I created a applet and work fine in jsp page but i created another jsp page that has iframe and when i try to open this applet in that iframe it doesn't work it just throws error file not found.
Does anyone has any solution.

I ran into a similar problem before and worked around it by moving the query to a pipelined function in the database as described at WITH clause unexpectedly causes ORA-00942 in Reports Builder

JSP referencinc taglib.tld in JAR file doesn't work.
I have some custom tags which work fine under Weblogic 5.1 when I do a
normal deployment of files, including the taglib.tld. However, when I
try to reference the taglib.tld located in a JAR file, then weblogic
throws an error saying that it cannot resolve into a valid tag library.
I am only doing this because I am testing the same site agains both
iPlanet Web Server and Weblogic. iPlanet will only find the taglib.tld
when it is in a JAR file.
Can anyone shed some light on referencing the taglib.tld in a JAR file.
This should work, as it is covered in the JSP 1.1 specification.
FYI - the jar file is in the same location as the JSP which references
it. The URI to the JAR file (in the JSP) is from the root of the site.

I am quite new to java so I hope my question is not stupid.
I used bluej to realize an application.It works when executing the main method in bluej,but when I create the jar file,it simpy doesn't work.I have included the main class when creating the jar file.When double-clicking on the jar file, it makes the typical error sound of windows,but it doesn't show any message.

URGENT Help for applet with JAR file in Netscape
I am having Applet with few classes
Html is in /www directory
and all class files are in /www/javaclassfiles
I jared all javaclassfiles with following command
c:\www\javaclassfiles>jar -cvf sample.jar TaxPaymentAppletForm.class *.class
where sample.jar is my jar file and TaxPaymentAppletForm.class is the main applet class file.
THEN I DELETED ALL CLASS FILES & KEPT ONLY SAMPLE.JAR FILE ON SERVER

How do you close a dragged applet, as Stage.close() doesn't work?
I'm trying to implement a close button in a draggable applet, but Stage.close() doesn't work, and there's an odd little "X" icon which is causing me problems...

}However, the Stage.close() function in the user code doesn't seem to close the applet once it's dragged. It seems this can only be achieved by a mysterious little "X" in a box top right, acting as a close button.
Here's a demonstration of the problem once you've compiled that code:
1. Open browser with applet (I'm using IE8 on Windows XP)
2. Shift-drag the applet out of the browser. Notice the little X in a box appears when you drop the applet on the desktop.
3. Click the red rectangle to invoke the Stage.close() function in the user code.
4. Applet disappears from screen and does not reappear in the browser.
5. But minimising all the icons on the desktop shows the little X in a box is still there sitting on your desktop (actually I find the X has gone, but the box is still there). This suggests the applet is still running.
6. Close the browser. The little X's box is still on the desktop.
7. After a short pause a Java dialog box appears: "Desktop integration warning. The application would like to create shortcuts. Do you want to continue? OK/Skip" The applet wasn't closed, it is still running!
8. Click Skip. Dialog box disappears. But the little X's box is still on the desktop. Is the applet still running?
9. Try to recompile app again into a deployable Jar (I'm using Eclipse for this).
10. The compiler stops with "ERROR: Jar file C:\[...].jar could not be deleted. The Jar is probably locked by running application, Web browser, emulator or antivirus. Please check that all windows related to the application have been closed." Yes, the applet Jar is still being used.
11. Minimise all the windows. The little X's box is still on the desktop.
12. Click the little X's box.
13. After a few seconds the box disappears. Does this mean the applet is no longer in use...?
14. Recompile the app again into a deployable Jar. It works!
By the way, you get the same experience with another Sun sample: the DraggableMP3Player at

That, too, thinks it's implementing it's own close button, and again the same problem occurs.
So it seems Stage.close() doesn't properly close the applet, and only the the little X in a box will do this.
I'd like to be able to really close the applet from my own code. How can I do this?

Problem loading Applets from Jar files on 64 bit machine
I am developing an applet (extends Applet but uses swing components) using JDK 1.6 (Though these problems still happen in JDK 1.7) and I am unable to get the applet to load on a 64 bit machine in most cases. The web server(s) are running on localhost and I am connecting on the same machine using a local network ip address (such as 192.168.*.*)
Below are all of my test results. Can someone provide a suggestion for repairing this? The Windows Server machine is a clients computer I access to it via remote desktop but I can't do much with it though I do have administrator rights. The Windows 7 machine is my development platform so I have been able to do extensive testing on it.
This problem is presenting in the following environments when trying to load an applet from JAR files in a HTML document using the Applet or Object tag.
Windows Server 2008 (Intel Chipset)
Tested Browsers:
Internet Explorer 9 (32 bit) - Shows it is blocked by default then simply shows an x when loaded from a web page, same result when loading from local drive.
Windows 7 Home Premium (AMD Chipset)
Tested Browsers:
Firefox 6.0.1 (32 bit) - Java logo shows with spinner, after a few minutes there is finally an error that a class in the jar was not found
Internet Explorer 9 (32 bit) - Java logo shows with spinner, after a few minutes there is finally an error that a class in the jar was not found
Internet Explorer 9 (64 bit) - Java logo shows with spinner and most of the windows desktop manager freezes, keyboard is the only thing that responds so you can alt-tab to another app to regain control of the desktop.
Chrome (32 bit) - Java logo shows with spinner, after a few minutes there is finally an error that a class in the jar was not found
The only way I have been able to get a Java applet to run on a 64 bit machine are the following ways.
Firefox 9 nightly (64 bit) works perfectly! Go Firefox!
Internet Explorer 9 (32 bit) loading directly from drive (c:\...)
Chrome (32 bit) loading directly from drive (c:\...)
Firefox 6.0.1 (32 bit) loading directly from drive (c:\....)

Yes, I haven't tried running the jars on other operating systems.

Perhaps you meant that you have tested using both of those?I'm testing using the lan ip address but I'm connecting from the same machine. I've tried localhost and that didn't work so I tried lan ip since that will likely have a different java security context than localhost. At first I was blaming the IIS server but I downloaded the jar directly and using HTTP fox was able to verify that the jar is being sent with the correct mime-type and that the server can upload the jar file without a problem. This leaves me to believe the problem is with Java. -
.jar file suddenly not working
I have some minimal experience working with .jar files, but I am baffled here.
Recently, the jar file for one of my programs stopped working. I had just made a change to my main class, so i repackaged the jar. Now it says "Can't find main class" when I try to run it. It will only work if I add the line
Class-Path: . (there is a period there)
to my manifest.
This would be fine, but I want to use exe4j to make it into a Windows executable. exe4j must do something where it does not honor the mainifest settings, because the executable gives out a "can't find main class" error no matter what.
What has happened? It is only an issue with this program, i have repackaged several others to test, and they work without the "Class-Path" workaround. I'm pretty sure that it's not something in the nature of the program itself, because it worked eariler, and my only change was a small one (the text of a few JLabels).
I have made sure that my main class is in the root of my jar file, and I have the Main-Class attribute correctly set in my manifest. The program runs fine outside the jar, but displays this odd behavior only when "jarred".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.also, it's only the one class that's affected.
I tried setting the Main-Class to other classes in the jar, and that worked fine. When I tried to make a workaround, making one of the other classes' main call the one I wanted, i got a "fatal exception" error. I'm pretty sure it still couldn't find the file. -

I have an Applet packed in a JAR file. It works very well in my local site, but when I upload it to internet it throws a java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: nibbly
Of course I've checked names, cases, files are in the same directory.
The html code is very simple:

How do I update a file in an Applet's JAR file from the Applet code
Here's my problem.
My applet is using a serializable history data in which I am storing in the applet's JAR file. When I run the applet, I read the file with "getResourceAsStream()" and run my program with that hist data. When my applet is closed, I need to update this file from my Applet's code and I dumfounded about how to do that.
Is there any way to update a file in the Applet's JAR file through the Java Applet code? (i.e. OutputStream?).
Would appreciate any advice people have.Just place a copy of the file on the local hard disk and update that. When you start the Applet you try to read from the hard disk. If the file exists then no problem otherwise copy it from the jar to the hard disk.

Read From Binary File doesn´t work on MCB2400 in LV2009 Embedded ARM

I try to read a Binary File from SD-Card on my MCB2400 Board with LV2009 Embedded for ARM.
But the output is always 0, if I use my VI on the MCB2400. If use the same VI on the PC it works fine with the same binary file.
The
access to the SD-Card on the MCB2400 works in other cases finde, if I
try to read from a text-file it works without any problems.
Are thre any constraints for the "Read From Binary File"-Node in Embedded in comparison to the same node on PC ?
I have noticed that there is also a problem
with the reading of textfiles. If the sice of the file is about 100Byte
it doesn´t work anymore, too. I can´t understand it, because I read
always just one Byte. And even if the implementation in Labview is so
bad that it allways reads the total file in the ram it sould work. The
MCB2400 has 32MegaByte RAM, so 100Byte or even a few MegaByte should
work.
But this doesn´t seem to be the Problem for the Binary-Problem. Because even a 50byte Binary-File doesn´t work.

But I just want to read a Binary File, which is build by another program. And this is coded with 8Bit (like a normal Binary File) and not just with 7Bit (ASCII). So the workaround doesn't work in my case.
I posted the Test-VI in my first post (here once again as picture). And it works fine on the PC, but if I try it on my MCB2400 the "Read Form Binary File" Node doesn't work.
And it is also possible to open the Bin file with the "Read Text File" Node and see the cryptic content of the Bin-File. So the Problem seems to be in the "Read Form Binary File" Node.

i've written a fairly simple app that involves a while loop. when i run the application using the command line, it works perfectly. however, if i bundle all the files up into a jar file and double click to run that, it gets most of the way through the while loop then appears to stop with no errors thrown or anything. here is the code:

}the app seems to get through to just before the line:ta.append("Image converted successfully for product :"+details[0]+"\n");then nothing. the program does not stop responding as i am able to shut it down using the red x button and the image output is correct as well. it seems really odd that it works fine until i stick it together as a jar file!
here is the command i use to create the jar file:
jar cmf ConvertImage.mf Convert.jar ConvertImage.class InputFrame.class InputFrame$1GetData.class resizeImage.class copyright.jpg images
and my manifest file looks like this:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Main-Class: ConvertImage
(there is a blank line at the end of the manifest file.)
Does anyone know why the jar file isn't working as it should?public static void main (String[] args) throws IOExceptionSo if something in the program throws an IOException, the program ends abnormally. But you should see the stack trace of the exception in your console.
But if you don't have a console (and you probably don't) then you don't see the stack trace.
Declaring your main method like that is okay for quick and dirty command-line programs where you can't be bothered to catch exceptions because you're going to throw the code away anyway. But if you're going to put the code in a jar file then you need a more professional standard of programming. Catch the exceptions in the program and notify the user when they occur. -

Version of Reader? OS? Can you open reader by double-clicking on its icon? Can you open reader by double-clicking on a pdf file? What programs are trying to open reader? Some programs might be restricting your ability to view pdf files using the Reader plug-in due to security concerns. If this is the case you need to find out how to enable the plug-in in the case of each application. -
Jar file is not working after deleting all packages from the same directory

i have created a jar file named as server.jar in the same directory in which i have all the packages(for which i have created this jar file).This jar file was working correctly when i had all the packages in the same directory.But after deleting all the packages from the same working directory, this jar file is neither working nor giving any error message..
Please tell me what may be the reason???
