Application does not load when the JNLP file URL is given

Hi,
I have created a JNLP file to load a swing based application and i'm trying to host it on a tomcat web server.
But when i type in the URL in the browser window, nothing happens. No errors shown.I'm not able to figure out where i have gone wrong. following are the steps i have followed:
1)Created a .jar file which contains all the class files required for the application to run
2)created another jar file containing the main class file which loads the application.
3)included these two jar files in the JNLP <resource> tag
4)placed the 2 jar files along with the jnlp file in the ROOT directory of the web server.
5)type in teh URL of the jnlp file which is supposed to start the appilcation.
please do let me know if i'v done anything wrong in the above steps..

Check if the href attribute in the html file is
referencing the jnlp file correctly or not.I'm not using any HTML file to access this jnlp... i'm directly giving the URL smthing like this--> http://localhost:8080/test/client.jnlp
where, client.jnlp is present in a directory called test under the ROOT directory of the tomcat/webapps.
i hope this is the way to do it!!! plz do correct me if i'm wrong...!!!

The last tab, furthest to the right, does not load when restarting FireFox.

Whenever I restart firefox, the last tab I had opened does not load. The matter of restarting can be any kind: new add on installed, new firefox update, restarting the browser manually, or restarting my computer so that firefox is automatically closed. It's always the same problem. The last tab will be displayed as my New Tab page, which is blank. I can have 3 tabs open, and the first 2 will load just fine, but the last doesn't. This means that if I restart for an add-on or something, I need to go back into my history to pull up this last tab, which is inconvenient. And it may not have been my most recent tab. I may open this last tab, go back to an earlier tab and surf the web on that, building my history, and then restart firefox for whatever reason. In those instances, I need to open up the history window and dig for that last tab from memory.

Alright. It appears to be an addon called Load Tabs Progressively. I'll just leave that disabled.

The specified screen does not exist in the DLIB file

Dear Experts,
I have copied the program of VA01 to Zprogram and created ztransaction when I execute ztransaction it will goto first screen, after I type input and click enter I will get below message
Screen zsapmv45a 4470 does not exist
when I check help (F1) it says as follows
Diagnosis
     The specified screen does not exist in the DLIB file.
Procedure
     Specify the programm and the screen number correctly.
     If you want to generate a list of existing screens, select the program
     and screen number on the Screen Painter selection screen. In the case of
     the screen number, you can only enter a * in the first position.
can anyone tell me that how to maintian screen in DLIB file?

Do you have such a screen number under the function group where you have copied the transaction VA01?
If not chek in standard func group for this screen and copy it.

The burn command does not show in the iTunes file. I recently upgraded to Yosemite. How do I retrieve the burn function? thanks

Where are you looking for the "Burn"?
You should be seeing it, when you select a playlist or a smart playlist in the sidebar and then use the command "File > Burn Playlist to ..." or ctrl-click or right click the playlist and select the Burn command from the pop-up menu.
Does it not show there?

ask for them with DownloadService ? (isResourceCached)

That setting only works for system sounds like push notifications (emails and the like), some game sounds, keyboard clicks and things like that. If you want to mute all sounds you still have to turn the volume all the way down with the volume switch.

How to load .jar files when not specified in the .jnlp file

Hello,
We are deploying an application with JWS but due to the nature of this app, we need to download additional jar file only when the user has been authenticated. The jar file(s) we need to download can hardly be predicted (in term of name) and thus cannot be all listed as lazzy resource in the .jnlp file.
However, we would like to take advantage of the various JWS features relateed to .jar download and cache and would prefer not to reinvent the wheel by implementing our on stuff (i.e. URLClassLoader with caching etc.).
Any idea, suggestion?

How about writing a second jnlp file with the optional jar listed in it and running it only if your user is authenticated?

Ecore diagram editor does not load when I click the (aird) file

When I click on an aird file , which I created for the first time to graphically edit an ecore diagram, the diagram editor does not load, but instead, Eclipse opens the aird file as xml in a text editor! Why this is happening? and how can I solve this? any thoughts?
I am using Eclipse 4.4.2. in mac.

This might happen depending on the perspective you are using, please try with the "Modeling" perspective.
You should be able to load the .aird using right-click=>open and then see the corresponding diagrams as childs of the .aird file.

Application does not load correctly when deploying to standalone server

All,
I have created simple application implementing fusion theme. Applicaiton works fine when I run on integrated server but when deployed on standalone server it does not load any images or the theme itself. afrloop keep incrementing in status bar and ends up with java script error while later.
I deployed another test application on standalone server and that works fine i.e. theme gets loaded correctly. Also, how should I include images on the page? I have a images folder in web content folder but they dont get loaded.
Any help will be appreciated.

LabVIEW now uses the Microsoft installer. It's possible that you need to upgrade the version that's on the Win2K box. I think the latest service packs from Microsoft include it.

Forms applet does not load when request forwarded from custom servlet

I have an existing forms app that I wish to call from a newly-developed servlet. The servlet determines which form to call and then forwards the request to the forms servlet using RequestDispatcher.forward().
The request is forwarded correctly but when it is done all I see is a blank browser (IE7) window. When I View Source I see all the correct HTML code (from basejpi.htm) but it seems my browser does not attempt to load the forms applet. No messages are displayed in the Java Console. This is the same HTML that comes back if I run the forms app directly, e.g. click a link that goes straight to the forms servlet URL, only in that case the forms app starts up fine.
Anyone know why this does not work?

Figured out what is going on:
In basejpi.htm there is "<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=JavaScript SRC=java/forms_ie.js>" that creates an OBJECT tag to load the forms applet. I believe since the context of my custom servlet is different than that of the forms servlet, forms_ie.js is not found when the request is forwarded from my servlet.
One question answered raises another. There is also an OBJECT tag inside a NOSCRIPT tag for machines where scripting has been disabled:

</NOSCRIPT>
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" SRC="java/forms_ie.js"></SCRIPT>
My thinking is to remove the NOSCRIPT tag, and also the SCRIPT tag mentioned above, so all machines will simply see the OBJECT tag, like so:

This makes me wonder why the SCRIPT option is there to begin with. Anyone see a downside to this approach?

PDF does not remain in the Registered file types list

I've installed Adobe Reader X. The PDF file type was not automatically associated with Adobe Reader. So, I went through the standard process of adding it to the Windows Registered file types. It does not remain in the list. I've checked the box to "Always use the selected program.....", but when I reopen the Registered File types window, PDF is not there. PDFX is there and registered to open with Adobe Reader, but not PDF.

I forgot to mention, I'm running Windows XP SP3.

Full extractor does not load all the g/l accounts

I have a empy DataStore Object (ZFI_O02) and I want to load the information (g/l accounts) with a full infopackage. The load have the status of "Green" but when I check the information I have accounts without some documents. I do not know why my full extractor does not load correctly all the information.
I test the DataSources (3FI_SL_K2_SI) with the Tcode RSA3 and the test shows the all the accounts with all the documents.
Others tests -> I used the same infopackage (full mode) and restrict with the 0FISCPER (2010) and 0GL_ACCOUNT (Account Number) checked the PSA and I have the acoount with all the documents.

Hi Jeanette,
Looks like the data is getting overwritten in the DSO. This usually happens when there are records with same Key Fields and also has certain characteristics that are unique but not key fields.
I suggest, you take a subset of a GL for which the data does not match, then compare the entries in the DSO and the PSA.
For Eg: If Business Area is not the key, then the data for all the same business areas will be overwritten. Thus making the BA key would eliminate the problem.
