Application Error Nokia 6500 Slide

Hi hope someone can help, whenever i open some games on phone, it opens ok until its ready to start and then i get an 'application error'...... details 'out of memory.......' etc etc, theres plenty of memory, something simple i know but... please help!

Think I've worked it out now.. i had it on gmt, but i'd forgotton we are on british summer time so needed to add an hour for daylight saving.

Nokia 6500 slide - SMS writing language (chinese) ...

Hi,
Seek helps from all experts, I have recently updated my Nokia 6500 Slide firmware to 8.4. but unfortunately it cause some changes to my phone as the SMS writing language for Chinese characters has disappeared. Anyone could advise me on how to install it back to my phone?

Unlock my Nokia 6500 slide

good evening,
I bought a mobile (Nokia 6500 slide) with SFR in France. I missed six months and I wanted to unblock it but the code to disable the restriction, is not good and he told me that this is a problem that needs to be addressed at Nokia. So I would like to know steps to unblock it, thank you.

I'm aware that SFR told you to contact Nokia, and they told you wrong.
What you should be aware of is the fact that mobile network operators do not hesitate to lie to their clients to make themselves look clean and shift the blame for any wrongdoing to the manufacturer.
If SFR got the restriction code wrong it is up to them to try again and get it right. SFR sending you to Nokia is not going to help because Nokia cannot generate the restriction code. These codes are the sole responsibility of the operators who enforce the SIM-lock, and the operators know this full well.
Try SFR again, but don't let them send you back to Nokia. Be persistent. If the front-line customer service is unable to help then ask to have the matter escalated to someone with half a clue who might actually know what he or she is talking about.
Also bear in mind that SFR are crooks as far as I'm concerned. They've tried everything in the book to extort money from me and succeeded on one occasion (charging me €7.50 for a PUK code given over the phone when no such code was given, I had the SIM-lock lifted from my phone more than 6 months after taking out the contract and it was supposed to be free).

hy, i need some help :-p, is it possible when i slide open/close my nokia 6500 slide to have a tone??? (ps: i tried with "Carbide.ui Theme Edition 3.4" to edit some themes to add different sound, but nothing )(and i have eanble other sound :-( ).i have tride a lot of themes ... nothing... no sound on flip slide!!! i even reinstalled the soft v 8.30!!! nothing!!!please help...

Nokia 6500 slide..Bugs and problems..

Just read some posts regarding the nokia 6500 and it seems i too am not alone with the problems on this model..
I have had nothing but problems with this phone and keeps freezing, cuts out whilst in the middle of a call and generally is the most problem ridden phone nokia must have ever produced.
I cant believe that a trusted company the size of nokia would allow a product like this to be released in the uk market.
I do also understand that nokia now have stiff competition from other manafacturers. And have to fight for the share of the market place. But releasing inferior phones that obviously havent passed the research stage Is hardly the way to keep the customers that they have..
I cant wait till my phone is repaired and put for sale on E bay..Anyone recommend a non nokia alternative...
Anyone considering a phone has to avoid a nokia 6500 slide.

From what you have read, same situation with the 6500 Classic?

Nokia 6500 Slide SMS retrival

I have a Nokia 6500 Slide that is unusable at the moment. There are a lot of very important sms stored in the phone that I would like to retrieve. I brought it to the Nokia care centre in Singapore but they were unable to help as they no longer have the software and hardware to service the phone.
Is there anywhere else I can send the phone to to retrieve the sms stored in the phone? I'm quite sure the messages are still in there; i just need to get them out as the data contained are of utmost importance to me.

Well there are data retrieval companies but they may charge a large amount to do so. But i can't name one as i don't know.

hi im new to this site can anyone maybe help me. i have a nokia 6500 slide and cant receive any photo messages. i dont know if my setting are wrong and am stuck. i receive a text saying photo pending but never get it, i click on retrieve but nothing happens. help x

Ive just got the nokia 6500 slide phone today can someone help me with the silent shortcut i cant find anything in the manual as i am holding down the silent sahortcut button on bottom right key but nothing ever seems to happen the silent profile doesnt activate. do i need to change somthing in the settings first for it to work??

Just got the 6500 slide in black from orange, silent key not working, even though its a small problem its a C##T, because the phone is brand new! and it even has the silent icon on the # key! they had better fix it soon otherwise i want my £ back

Adapter for MD-1 Music Stand for Nokia 6500 Slide

I currently Own a Nokia Music Stand MD-1 that has a Pop Port connection. I use it with my Nokia 6280 Phone. I am thinking of Upgrading my phone to a Nokia 6500 Slide and want to know if there is an adapter I can purchase so I can continue to use my MD-1 Music Stand with the new Phone as the connections are different on the base of the new phone. Has Nokia produced this or does anyone know where I can get one.

I've came across with people that encountered such problem after upgrading to latest version of pcsuite(foreign language version) & were able to recover by running the Pcsuite cleaner & installing the English version. Why don't you give it a shot.

How does the 6500 slide hard reset?
That's simple.
All you have to do is:
From MENU goto SETTINGS, When there scroll down and select 'Restore Factory Setting'.
There are two options in there:
"Restore Settings only"
and
"Restore all"
Select "Restore All"
When done the phone will delete every thing on the Phone memory(C:\)(contacts,picture,messages etc)
and also restore phone to its original settings and will restart.
This proceedure is mostly common on S40 phone.
Hope this explain and solve the problem.

Bricked nokia 6500 slide due to cable disconnectio...

well i was updating my old nokia 6500 slide and my computer randomly disconnected the phone making my phone go corrupted, so now whenever i turn it on all i see is a blank screen with a backlight, ive looked all over the internet for a fix and sadly i could not find one, so now im hoping somebody on this site can help me fix it.

blazekid your phone is bricked the only way to make it work again is to take it to Nokia care. Or remove your phone's battery and then re insert it after 5-10 minutes. If This doesn't work you have to do the First one.
