Win98 was released in the late 97/98 and the Oracle version then was 7 and the then brand new 8i version. Cannot recall ever seeing 9i for Win98. Do recall running PO 7 on Win95 and Win98.

  • Patch Set Release 2 (9.2.0.8) Patch Set 7 for Microsoft Windows (32-Bit)

    Hi,
    I've 2 nodes with version 9.2.0.1
I applied a Patch Set Release 2 (9.2.0.8) Patch Set 7 for Microsoft Windows (32-Bit) on the Node 2,
All is fine but when i try to discover N2 from N1 with OMS, i get only the HTTP Servers, and no database discovred,
For your information, I've 2 databases on N2
Please help me to resolve this probleme because i need to schedule some jobs.
    Regards.

Check where you installed the 9.2.0.8 patch, in the database home or Enterprise Manager Agent's home?
Check the compatibility between the versions of agent, database and OEM.
Try to reinstall the (correct version) agent again in Node 1.
If you have 2 database on Node 2, if they both uses the same Oracle database version and same home, you need to install the patch only once, but got to run the upgrade and catpatch.sql seperately in each databases.

  • 10.1.0.4 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)

When will Oracle Database 10g Release 10.1.0.4 be available for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)?
(I'm having some problems with Export:
    ORA-39094, fixed in 10.1.0.4
    ORA-39127, fixed in 10.1.0.3)

If you want the basic database, you want #1. The companion CD contains example code and header files if you are developing OCI or OCCI applications. It may make sense to download and install the companion CD after installing the database.
Options #3 and #5 allow you to connect to a remote Oracle database, but do not include the actual database software. These are things that you would install on the client machines if you deploy your applications to client machines.
Option #4 only comes in to play if you are installing a grid (RAC cluster).

  • REMOTE DESKTOP SERVICES CLIENT ACCESS LICENSES FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS SERVER 2012 STANDARD AND DATACENTER

I am using a window 7 professional  service pack 1 and I purchase REMOTE DESKTOP SERVICES CLIENT ACCESS LICENSES FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS SERVER 2012 STANDARD AND DATACENTER. but  the seller did not send me any installation CD or instruction
    on how to use it.
Please how can I use it on my window 7 professional  service pack 1.
    Thank you.

Though Bill is absolutely correct for most CALs, Remote Desktop Services does have its own special licensing server.  I haven't installed one on 2012, yet, but here is a step-by-step guide for 2008.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd983943(v=ws.10).aspx
Here is a lab guide for 2012 -
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj134160.aspx
But, the explanation of your environment begs the question - what are you trying to do?  You say you have a desktop OS and you are talking about Windows Server products.  In that light, your question does not make a lot of sense.

  • Oracle Database 10.2.0.1.0 setup for Microsoft Windows not opening

I've downloaded the Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows in my PC.
However when I double click the setup.exe,it doensn't open up.Nothing is happening..Could someone provide me thoughts about what could be the reason and how to solve this?
    Regards,
    Bhagat

The setup.exe usually takes a while to start the Oracle Universal Installer, it depends upon the machine speed and capacity. Wait for more time and see if it starts. Check if your machine/os meets the system requirement.

  • ODMS 11g (11.3.0.0.0) for Microsoft Windows install repwizard.bat failure and resolution

    Hello,
I'd like to share my experience with installing Oracle Database Mobile Server 11g (11.3.0.0.0) for Microsoft Windows. Hopefully this can be resolved in a future release or this workaround can help someone else.
This was a new installation on Windows 2008 R2 server. The repository is to be in Oracle Standard database 11.2.0.3 64 bit. GlassFish 4 had been installed previously for Oracle APEX. Java version is 1.7.0_45.
During the repwizrd.bat process, the progress would stop at 95% on the "installing Mobile Server" step.
Examining the logs in the MobileServer home folder (D:\oracle\MobileServer11gR3_1\Mobile\Server) showed errors with the MOBILEADMIN  user.
The workaround is to manually create the MOBILEADMIN user. Once the user MOBILEADMIN  was created manually with the unlimited quota on the USERS tablespace the repwizard process seems to be happy with everything and completed successfully.
This makes no sense since the SYSTEM password was provided. I am suspecting that this script was developed with an existing installation and not tested in a completely clean environment and therefore a bug.

thank you for the feedback.   Did you work at all with ORacle support on this issue?  We do our internal testing on clean environments.  I would like to understand in more detail what happened here because if there is a bug in the install code, I would like to get it addressed.  Feel free to email me directly on this.  [email protected]
    thanks

  • Need to download oracle 11.1.0.7 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)

    Hi all,
I am using Repository Creation Utility (RCU) to create schema and load repository in Oracle database for Fusion Middleware components. In order to create schema and load repository to an Oracle database,Oracle strongly recommends using AL32UTF8 as the database character set.
Hence I need to install database version 10.2.0.4.0 in 10g or version equal to higher than 11.1.0.7.0 with the database character set AL32UTF8. But the Oracle Database Software Download url available through OTN do not list
oracle 10.2.0.4.0 or oracle 11.1.0.7 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit).
Appreciate if anyone can provide me any other alternate location, from where I can download oracle 10.2.0.4.0 or oracle 11.1.0.7 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit).
    Thanks
    Sanil.M

10.2.0.4 and 11.1.0.7 are patchsets, available on MOS/metalink only (you need a valid support contract). There's only the exception for Windows 2008,here you can get this versions on OTN.
But who did you tell characterset AL32UTF8 is not available in the basis versions?

  • Download Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) for Microsoft Windows

    Hi
I unable to download Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) for Microsoft Windows from the OTN website. The download starts from here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ids/htdocs/101202winsoft.html
There are two files. The second file; ds_windows_x86_101202_disk2.zip downloads fine. The first file; ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1.zip stops at 46Mb with the message "connection reset by server".
When downloading using getright as suggested on the FAQ the connection has to resume at 46Mb. Using segmented downloading in getright I have been able to download 636.92MB of the 640MB file. The getright download window shows connected; waiting for reply but I am unable to get the last few Meg.
Any ideas how to complete the download? Has anyone else completed it successfully?
    Thanks
    Tom

I guess, it is a problem with your network.
Yesterday I have downloaded both the files and installed successfully. The first file took around 20 minutes and secod file took nearly 10 minutes to download.
Are you using office network? You can try downloading at home with DSL.
