hello Bala,
there was some config missing in UWL, now it is working and here we have got some button launch dynpro ..this is leading to pop where we can approve or reject....

In this we are getting more info, Display details in SAP GUI, View History, View all Time Approval and Attachments of Documents which leads to leave request details. These may be too flashy for the Manager who are from the typcial production centers....industries...So is there any way out for Hiding these.

Need Help: Workflow Decision Task not visible in NWBC for customer Task

Hello All,
I am new to NWBC configuration , need ur expert knowledge for the below issue. I have checked the treat . Approve/Reject button for SRM Approval for RFx response ,but not able to get the exact steps for the configurations in NWBC.
Requirement.
     We are working on SLM/SRM module, where we have requirement to create a custom workflow with custom Task for which we have executed below actions.
Created the Custom Workflow.
Created the custom Task with custom ZCLASS and ZEVET.
Created   Event linkages in SWE2.
After doing this we are getting the workitem in the NWBC, currently we don’t have the Portal system in place, so we are using the NWBC for all our testing.
What is the issue?
     When we select the workitem in the NWBC (UML) inbox , the Decision Task ie “Approve” or “Reject” button are not visible , where as for SAP standard Task buttons are visible.
What help we need?
When we cross check the SCN/IBM portal, found that we need to do the XML file configurations. Can you any one kindly let us know the steps we need to follow to achieve our functionality.

You need to share the details of what Inbox you are using, configuration steps depend on it. If you aren't using portal, you aren't using UWL and there is no UML inbox. You need to get your facts straight. Most likely you are using the Business Workflow Inbox (SWF_WORKPLACE) or the Lean Inbox (IBO_WDA_INBOX). Both are based on Web Dynpro ABAP and POWL but the configuration is different. Regardless, you posted this in the wrong space. Correct space is either SAP NetWeaver Business Client or Web Dynpro ABAP.

Elements 11 albums not visible in iTunes for synching

I've recently upgraded from Elements 8 to 11. New albums created in organiser 11 are not visible in iTunes for synching to my iPod. All of the albums created in Elements 8 are still visible. Is this a bug or is there something I need to do to make the new albums visible?

Yes I’m sure Adobe think it’s a third party problem and probably have little interest in synching with Apple devices. It’s a bit disssapointing and whilst Mac users can sync with iPhoto or Aperture, the majority of users will be using Windows and will wish to sync their PSE11 albums. Hopefully Apple & Adobe will talk to each other.
There is a work around but it involves first creating the album in PSE10 (or your earlier version) and importing it into PSE11. It will then be recognized in iTunes when you connect your device and click on the Photos tab. Let me know if you want instructions.

Use transaction SWFVISU to prepare standard setting for your Workitem in the UWL. --Parameters for Work Item Visualization in the UWL.

Adobe form for leave request

Dear experts,
There is no standard leave request form provided by SAP. We are developing an adobe form which lists the employee's quota and leaves taken earlier along with the current leave details. This form should be displayed to the approvers from the leave workflow.
When the approver clicks on the work item, the leave request form should popup. There are two technical challenges in this requirement -
1. This requirement is similar to the standard ones for travel request and expense request - In travel request and expense request, SAP has provided standard forms and the workflow container is a standard importing parameter in these adobe forms. This container is helpful in deriving most of the content on the adobe form. However, there is no such link in case of leave request. How does the workflow information be passed to the adobe form? ( i will have to display employee details, quota, current leave, approvers list, approvers comments, etc).
2. For leave request, the approval task is TS12300097 that has "Java Webdynpro" as visualization type. Whereas for travel and expense workflow approval tasks, the visualization type is "ABAP Webdynpro". I am assuming the "JAVA WD" will make it really tough to call the adobe form from the work item.
Any thoughts, suggestions on this requirement will be of great help.

I'm not that good at technical level, but still I try to help you with my limited knowledge.Instead of trying from binding rule, try with Function Module via BOR Object Method. you can get that function module at the time Adobe form creation. Can't you consider that Adobe form as a attachment in the work item???

Work flow for Leave request without ESS

For one of our client, we have configure workflow for leave request, first is it possible to do tht?
If so how to do it?, here we dont have ESS/MSS. Is there any standard workflow available?

There is standard workflow task which give by SAP to approve leave request i.e. 12300111.
But I am not sure this workflow task will work with out Portal or not.

Options for leave request work items in ECC6

We are upgrading our backend system from R/3 4.7 to ECC6. I am not very impressed with the leave request authorisation process and wondered if there are any other options open to us.
In 4.7, leave requests were workflowed to the requester's manager with a subject like this:
Process leave request from <fromdate> to <todate> submitted by <person>
When the manager selected it, they only see that request.
In ECC6 (using task 12300111 and the Webdynpro 'Leave Request: Approval') the subject in the inbox is;
<person>'s Leave Request
When the manager opens the item they see all leave request from all staff, despite this, they can only process one item at a time. Once completed, they are given an option to Approve Another Absence - but the link does not work. I can remove that link using ctrl-right-click, but was wondering;
1 Has anyone got the "Approve Another Absence" link working when the iView is launched from the UWL?
2 Has anyone managed to put the details of the request into the subject?
3 Has anyone managed to setup bulk authorisation of multiple requests in one step?
4 Has anyone managed to restrict the workitem to only display a single request?

to
ZXXX_EMPLOYEE_WORKTIME_LEAVEOVERVIEW
Associate a Z resource or existing resource with it....
Then map this Z service with Sub area
"Assign Services to Subareas"
Do not forget to give "Position"
Revert back if you face any issue......

I have a requirement for leave request in Portal. Basically employee will have two managers. Now my scenario is, if there is no line manager then the Approver field must be defaulted with the next manager.
Is there any BADI for this?
