Apps like Evernote or Starcraft 2 crashing on start after update to 10.8.2.
Anyone else experiencing crashes of apps like Evernote or Starcraft 2 after update to 10.8.2? For me they crash every time now when I try to start them. Deleting of Evernote and installing again from AppStore didn't help.
I tried your suggestion, but no such luck! I feel like I've tried everything. I just don't understand it. Everything was working as per usual up until I updated the software, but that can't possibly be the problem, can it? And if it is - what now?! ... This is a seriously annoying first world problem..

Apps crashing on start after update to 6.1.3
I recently updated my iPhone 4S with the latest software version 6.1.3.
After the update I tried to back up my phone, and then restore it, due to some glitches I was experiencing. All appeared to go well until I tried to back-up restore. Whether I try to back-up from iTunes or the Cloud, it tells me my bak-up is corrupt or not capitable with my phone. I know the latter is not the case.
I gave up trying to restore from the latest back-up and used one from 10 weeks ago. That also seemed to work fine until I tried to open my apps. They all crash on start -- all of them.
I have since done a hard restart (holding down the top-left button and the home button to restart the phone), I've reset to factory settings, I have tried syncing my apps from iTunes, I've even tried deleting the apps and re-downloading them from the App Store and nothing is working.
This is insanely frustrating. Is there ANYONE who can help me solve this really annoying issue?
Even more annpying is I am still getting notified when I am sent a message via the "Viber" app or a new "SnapChat" ... yet when I go to open the app to retrieve the message, it crashes before it even opens... WHAT is happening and HOW do I fix this?! PLEASE HELP!I tried your suggestion, but no such luck! I feel like I've tried everything. I just don't understand it. Everything was working as per usual up until I updated the software, but that can't possibly be the problem, can it? And if it is - what now?! ... This is a seriously annoying first world problem..

Playstation App is Crashing at Start after Update 5.0.2
Hi, after the Update 5.0.2 my Playstation App is crashing at Startup.
Clearing Cache / uninstall / Stopping the App / Clear Data ... nothing is working
Can anyone help me?!Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Applications crashing/not starting after update to Gnome3.6
So, I updated to Gnome3.6 two days ago and since then serveral applications aren't working properly anymore:
Pidgin crash when I try opening a conversations window (only tried with ICQ) - interestingly deleting and readding the ICQ-account works as a temporary solution (until the next reboot).
Winefish shortly shows that it is starting and then disapears.
gnome-tweak-tools and gnome-control-center don't start.
audacious crashs when I try opnening the settinggs as well as tring to access the details for a song.
Nautilus crashs when opening the properties of a file or directory.
GIMP crashes when opening an image or creating a new image.
I suspect that all these actions invoke the same troublesome funktion...
I tried deinstalling gnome and reinstalling it, but that didn't change anything.I have successfully resolved this issue on my PC by allowing updater.exe through the firewall. This updater.exe is located in the folder where your Mozilla Firefox was installed. The default folder is "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updater.exe"

Image Capture in Lion10.7.4 can't import to an app like evernote;prior to 10.7.3 this worked.
It also won't let you delete photos from the iPad on 10.7.4.
From what I've seen, 10.7.4 introduces a number of really annoying bugs, like this, and like the inability to mount PGP disks. -
any useful apps for iphone batts, bec it drains very fast after updating to iOS6 // is it somehow related?
Why would you say everyone here is mean, when you only got one reply? And I don't see where it was mean. By searching the forums, you can find threads full of (maybe) helpful suggestions, for example, the More Like This section:

my iphone 5 crashes (restarts) automatically after updating to ios 7.1 anyboday facing same issues ? Need help !!!!
I am having the same issues--just got off phone with customer service rep--was told that my phone is in recoveyr mode and that I would have to restore it, however, the only things that would be restored would be from my last backup which was in November 2013! I was also told that apple users should not update as soon as the update is available (so why are they sending it to us if they're not sure that there will be any problems!!!). I can't restore now since I am in work--will do it when I go home tonight. In the meantime, I am without a working iphone for the day! This is horrible--I see I'm not the only one who has experienced this!

Starcraft crashes on wine after updating to 1.14
I installed wine 0.9.14 because it's truely less laggy than 0.9.27 with starcraft. It worked well with starcraft/broodwar 1.05. I downloaded the 1.14 patch on a mirror from blizzard.com since battle net didn't wan't me to download it(crash).
I then updated to 1.14. When I tried to run 'wine starcraft.exe', it gave me this error :

Blue Screen Crash on computer after updating Storm software
My software ran fine , but after updating my Blackberry software, my system give me the blue screen of death. The specific error is a multible Ir request. My system crashed three to four times per day. This went on for at least 8 months. Due to a virus issue I reinstalled windows XP and all of my software. Due to previous issues I did not reinstall Blackberry Software until two weeks after rebuilding my system, during this time I had no issues. I reinstalled From the CD then updated on the web to the current version. Within 2 hours of install the same Blue screen odf death returned. I am running on a Dell Latitude D820. All computer updates are current. All drivers are new after install. Clean install is only two weeks old. Anti virus installed. Thanks For any help.
On your re-install for the Windows software are you are you keeping all of your previous backups? It could the BB Desktop Software databases and registry that is corrupt. Try to re-install the Windows software and install BB DS from scratch without using previous databases. If you install on another PC using your same disk is it giving any problems?

3Try a restart.
Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

I would start by using this article to troubleshoot the issue:
iTunes: How to re-create your iTunes library and playlists
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1451
If that does not resolve it, some general troubleshooting may help isolate or resolve it:
Mac OS X: How to troubleshoot a software issue
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1199
If that article does not resolve it, there are steps in this article that, although the symptoms are different, would also be worth trying:
Mac OS X: Gray screen appears during startup
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570
Take care,

ITunes 8 crashes on start - after reinstalling and again..
Hi,
I am getting some headaches with itunes after trying to download a new tv season (my first one).. the problem really started after I started using simplify media app and program with my ipod touch. once i tried to connect to my itunes via wireless the headache started. Itunes keeps on crashing on start. i have installed now the latest version of itunes. I tried reinstalling twice.
Please help! ..
btw. i get this in the error report (the following files are included in the error report).. in win xp
C:\DOCUME~1\mainuser\LOCALS~1\Temp\13c2_appcompat.txt
Much appreciated,
ObedHave you tried System Restore to before you installed and used the app that started this?
My other suggestion would be to completely uninstall all Apple products and after a system restart delete any apple related folders in your Program Files directory. Then re-download and install.
I would try System Restore first - that might be your best and easiest bet. But keep in mind that System Restore will delete any programs you installed after the restore date you pick. -
InDesign 6.0 on Windows 7 crashes on start after time change
My InDesign 6.0 running on Windows 7 crashes on start. I was working on the program when my system time changed last night and now there is an error between two time stamps. I have followed the instructions to remove the preferences, to remove the defaults and have reinstalled everything. I can't find the SavedData file based on the instructions. What should I do next?
Here is the crash report.

MBP 2008 late crashes too often after update to Mavericks
My Macbook Pro 2008 late(First generation of Unibody) works perfect on OS X 10.8.x, but after update to Mavericks yesterday, it crashes too often, about 1 hour 1 time.
It seems com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement caused the issue, but I have no idea how solve it.
I checked the kernel extensions, found there are some from VirtualBox, so update it to latest 4.3.0 version, it have initial Mavericks support, but crashes still.

Proper usage of URLClassLoader for loading jars in a plugin environment
