Apps missing in iPad2

Some of my apps are missing, including app store, safari, email, and other third party apps. This issue came up after trying to open different apps which didnt work, they just closed down while trying to load. Actually I couldnt use any app on the Ipad so I restarted the Ipad and now several apps are missing. I've tried to diasable restrictions and reset home screen layout but non of that worked.
Any suggestions on how I could solve this issue?

Also try close all apps in the multi-task window.
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
3. The app will fly off the screen

VMs management in iPad app missing ?

Hello,
I successfully installed vCMA appliance and vSphere client app into my iPad2.
Everuthyng is working fine, but I see that in the iPad app is not possible to manage
the virtual machines (start, stop, pause, stand by, manage snapshots, etc.), while
instead this is described in the vcma user's guide. I can only see info and performance.
Maybe I'm missing some steps to enable this also from iPad ? Does anybody
know how to addd this ?

What vsphere client app?
To use this product you goto the web url and login to your vcenter with it. After you set it up on the console see what IP you gave it and try to get to it from your iPad assuming its on the same network. http:///vim
You should try to goto this url from your pc first and see if it’s a issue with the iPad.
You can also look at my post here. http://communities.vmware.com/message/1368655#1368655 about security access for the vcma. The vCMA has no way to connect securely from outside your firewall at this time and I posted a way to publish it securely using cisco ASA.

There aren't any viruses for iOS devices. Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. When I send a photo directly from iPhoto using the Mail app on my iMac, the wrong photo appears on my iPad2 Mail app. However the correct photo shows if I log into gmail on the iPad2. I assume there is a glitch with my "Mail" app on the iPad2.

Update: I was able to have the correct photo show in my email as received on my iPad2 by changing a setting on my IMac prior to sending the photo on the email.
On the iMac, I went into iPhoto > Preferences > Email photos using > Mail (in lieu of "iPhoto"). This seems to have corrected the issue. I'm not sure why. Now the correct photo shows up when received on my iPad2.

Try rebooting the iPad by pressing and holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until the screen goes blank and you see the apple logo. It should take about 10-15 seconds to reboot. This should clear out whatever is hanging the app.

If you are talking about the Camera app it can't be deleted. Look through all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration and apps, but may move other apps around to accomplish this.

I am unable to delete any of the installed apps on my iPad2. If I press on the icon i wish to delete, it merely starts shaking but does not show me the X sign for the delete.

Check your restrictions:
Settings>General>Restrictions>Deleting Apps
The Hide features is no longer available.

On you iPad, force close all the Apps in the multitask window.
Follow these steps to force an app to close:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it on by one until all cleared
Now do a Soft reset of your iPad:
Hold both Home and Sleep button for around 10secs until you see the Apple logo then release. After it returns to Home screen, try your Apps again and see if this resolves the issue.

Was this problem solved?
I double-checked and the SampleApps folder is there for me when I download the SDK Payload from our Production servers.
It could have been a bad download for you or something. You might want to try again.
I am attaching the sampleapps to this post for you in case the download doesn't work for you.
