AQ notification is slow

Hi, We are trying AQ notification in Oracle 9.2.0.4. Aq_tm_processes =6, job_queue_processes=4. We have one Q and three PL/SQL functions as recipients registered for auto-notifiction. Notification works but the Dequeue process seem to be extremely slow especially if the PL/SQL functions are doing some work ( up to 10 seconds)
after Dequeing the messages. Are there any benchmarks out there on the performance of AQ notification/dequeue processes ?.

the first thing a saw is the version: with aq it's strictly recommended to upgrade to 9.2.0.5 or better 9.2.0.6 especially when you are working with message propagation and scheduling.
but to get a problem solution, please check:
a) are there many (I mean a lot) dump files in the bdump-dir? (maybe created frequently more than one per sec.) from the job backrounds j00*.trc ?
b) have you in the trace file the errors
ORA-600 [KWQIDJQP0] EXEC SYS.DBMS_AQADM_SYS.REGISTER_DRIVER();
then follow metalink bugno 3033868 and docid 3033868.8
and upgrade the db!!!
c) check if you have more aq-jobs in the job tables under schema sys then you created - propagations!
this is important!
if so i will prepare a paper for you how you clean the situation:
you must follow some steps and clean at least the sys table for propagation when the aq enviormnent is down

Push Notifications and slowness

Has anyone been experiencing general slowness on some applications with push notifications enabled? I was complaining to one app support person about how slow their application loaded but found out that if I disabled the push notifications, the app loaded in less than half the time. I couldn't complain much afterward. I thought that one of the great things about push notification was that it wasn't supposed to affect battery life or performance on the phone.

potential issue yesterday that includes Service Bus, but I'm not sure if it also affected Notification Hubs.

Email notification very slow

My Droid Incredible is very slow to notify me that i have an email, 5-10 minutes at times. My BB was gave me instant notifications so fast that I could get them on my phone before my laptop. Any ideas as to what i can do?

What he said ^. It's not very slow compared to my old WinMo phone which didn't refresh for days at a time even though it was set to 15-30 min increments.
No doubt you can get an app for email though (there is already one for Exchange servers).

Notification Centre slow/delayed

I am finding that Notification Centre on Mountain Lion is very slow. As in: I reveive a tweet mention: it pops up in Echofon, then moments later in Echofon on my iPhone, but it doesn't appear in Notification Centre for a good 3 to 5 minutes later!
Rather annoying: does this happen to anyone else, and is there a solution?

I have this as well, it's very weird. I updated to 10.8.1, rebooted, repaired permissions, and it is still occurring.

Notification Center slow, red flash, general slowness and screen flickering

Hi!
I'm experiencing strange bugs since several days on my MacPro.
When opening the Notification Center, the background of the center flashes red, and it opens very jerky and slowly. Sometimes it just closes again.
In general the computer is slowed down, when watching flash video for example, and screen flickering and tearing occurs when scrolling trough folders or webpages.
Has anyone experienced this before? I'm kind of suspecting the graphics card for the screen tearing, but the dehaviour of the notification center surprises me.

No matter what else about your system: dump the 2600s
Throw in a Samsung 840 SSD system boot drive
Move your user data to its own drive(s)
Keep your current system for backups.
Do that and should be fine. A Safe Boot or two, booting off an emergency Mac boot drive or clone of your system to run maintenance and repairs - especially if you have not. And backup sets, clone of every volume, and Time Machine set(s).

IOS 7 iPhone 4 slow to refresh/update data

Apps like Weather, Email, and Notifications seem to have slowed down in updating/refreshing data. When I check notification center, the weather data is usually hours old. If I open the weather app it also has the older data but quickly refreshes. If I go back to Notification Center, it takes several more minutes to update. If I read emails on another device, they are still marked an unread on iPhone until I open the app or manually refresh. Anyone else having these issues? Could it be just that the servers are so stressed from upgrades that some push notifications have slowed down?
Before you ask, current settings:
Backgroud App Refresh: On (enabled for weather)
Location Services: ON (enabled for weather)
Notifications: All services enabled in Today View
Mail - Fetch New Data: Push
If email is not a Push account, set to Fetch Every 15 Minutes

Figured it out.
The photos that I thought were on the phone where in the cloud, so there wasnt actually a photo folder created yet in the camera.
Took a picture, reconnected phone and viola, there it was.

New message notification email format

Received several forum message notifications this morning with a new format, hopefully just a transient glitch
The new format had lots of blank lines interspersed with the first few lines of text, pushing the Subject, Author
and link lines off the bottom of the window, requiring a scroll down to see them. Makes reviewing the notifications
much slower. Any chance this is an aberration and we will get the old format back?

Never occurred to me that someone would embed pictures in an email.
It sure looks like it is related to embedded graphics, but when I look at the message source
there are no links, just text with lots of newlines.
Client is Firefox 3.0.4. Worked fine until this morning, then all of a sudden the format changed.
Don't see an option to display inline graphics, not that I would want to.

i guess you are trying to use ERMS(email reponse management system in CRM) either support desk or help desk.
u need to configure a whole setup in order to make this functionality work.
please make clear whether this is the one you are trying to achieve.
ERMS functionality in short: it has all mail box servers in place. once the mail comes from a user to a mail box, based on content and information the email is routed back to respective mailing list. the person picks the mail and replies back to the mail box which routes back to the user requested.
it uses process schedulers,IB gateways, nodes,SMTP servers to do the job.

Slow Push Notifications from Lync 2013 to Windows Phone 8.1 (dev)

Hi , I recently configured our Push notifications on our Lync 2013 Standard server, but i'm experiencing very slow performance of the push notification.
For example when I send IM from PC to my WP 8.1 phone the message is received after s few seconds . When I try another one right after the first one I receive error in my Lync client
This message may not have been sent to LyncTest because the server timed out.
If I wait 60-120sec I can send another IM and I can receive it on the phone. Tried debugging with OCSLogger but it seems that there are no errors. Lync calls also work in random situations.
Anyone experienced the same problem with Lync 2013 push notifications ?

When you run Lync Logging Tool, check you select Mcx logging component for the Logging Options selection.
Please also check if others users have the same problem.

I've had a look at the TC settings dialog and tried to keep it as simple as possible. I also had a copy of LR 4 on the hard drive so have trashed that also incase of any conflicts. LR seems to be running ok now but as said it's an intermittent problem.
I also have a copy of Capture One on the hard drive so am going to uninstall that also in case it is trying to launch.

I have a 3Gs and I've tried everything. I even restored as new phone and the issue continues. It has to do with the Wifi antenna and the bluetooth antenna, I believe they are both the same. I get intermittent wifi at home, work and other hotspots. I also get static on my bluetooth earpiece. I have to hold the phone within 6 inches of my ear for the static to go away. If I take the phone off of headset during that call, the phone is crystal clear. I have done the forget this device. I've done the turn off iPhone and turn off router at home, star the router up and wait, then turn iphone back on. Same issues continue. It has to do with the software. I'm not sure how they power the antenna, but maybe the software update 4.3.3 has effected it.

V 6.0.1 is slow and i just got a Norton notification that it is using close to 100% of one of my CPUS - it's the only application open , only one tab!

I recently upgraded my Firefox and it has been slowing down my laptop ever since - delayed reaction when I type, for example. I just started my laptop this evening, and opened one Firefox window. I then got a message from Norton (File Insight), saying that 100% of one CPU is being used. Can you confirm whether this is the updated version of Firefox causing this? Should I downgrade?

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

Slow delivery, no notifications

I have 2 GMail accounts, 2 POP accounts and one EAS account all with these settings:
Get Mail: 5 minutes
Show Notifications: On
Play Sound: Off
Vibrate: On
Everyting worked well until 2 days ago. Now mail sometimes comes in automatically, sometimes not. When it does it's always much longer than the 5 minute interval. When mail does come in, there are no visual or vibrate notification. I've done a reset and a full power cycle, along with removing the battery, with no change. Anyone have ideas?

You may want to try a partial erase (this does remove all PIM data from your device), and then restore data from your Google, Palm and/or EAS accounts. Update 1.0.3 was pushed out within the last few days, and maybe this had some effect on you device. Also remember that when you are on the phone you are not able to access data at the same time; have you had a lot of calls within the last few days, or maybe you are in a poor EVDO service area?
