  • Arabic language disappeared after software updater...

Yesterday night I decided to update my mobile software using nokia software updater to solve a performance issue as mentioned in the website.
I took a full back on my MMC then started the update.
My mobile software version was 1.00.XXXXX and the new release is 4.XXXXXX
The update completed successfully, but after I restarted the mobile I was shoked of the following issues :
    - The arabic language disappeared from the phone lagnauge selection.
    - MMC requested a passrowd to ulock it !!! while I dont remember that I set a password for it or I may set it once long time back but I forgot it now.
I'm surprized for what happened as I had a discussion last night with my father regarding Nokia trust relation ship .
Please advice how can I solve my issues ASAP.
All my contacts are backed up on the memmory .

  • Arabic Language for Nokia 808 PureView US version

    Hi guys,
I got my new Nokia 808 PureView (US version) from amazon.com. I want to add Arabic language to it. Is there any way to do it?
    Thanks,

Yes there is. You will need to visit your local Nokia Care point and they will add the Arabic language pack to your phone. Be advised that the language pack will be removed in the event that you update the phone or perform a full factory reset.
Only Nokia Care can add the language packs because there is special software needed which only they legally possess.
    Ray.

  • Arabic Language problem Nokia PC Suite ver 7.0.9.2

    Hi everyone,
I have a Nokia E71 mobile, and I installed the Nokia PC Suite on my PC, everything works fine, but I have one problem, that is when I click on the phone book or the message center on the application, the Arabic font seams corrupted (Garbled), I run the Windows XP on my PC with service pack 3, meanwhile menus font are okay but that problem appears only when I open the message center or the phone book and only with Arabic font.

I am very sorry, I am new to this, I should have said hello to everyone at the beginning of this.
Everybody reads this, please accept my excuse, and thanks for reading this and if possible if you know what is the problem please reply.
Thanks and HELLO TO YOU ALL

  • Arabic language pack on nokia 5800

hi i bought a nokia 5800 from hong kong with preinstalled chinese and english language, but my bro recently purchased a nokia 5530 from the same place, and it also has the same language packs preinstalled. however, the 5530 can view the arabic font (but not write in arabic) as in if he gets a txt messeage in arabic, but my 5800 cant?
anyone knows how i cud install the arabic language pack in my 5800. i know they are already preinstalled by nokia, but since stores can do it, then there must be a way to do it!
If iv helped in anyway, hit the kudos button

You'll have to take the phone into a Nokia Care Point. The software needed to install a language pack is not available to end users such as yourself, only to Nokia staff. In theory, even stores shouldn't be able to use it and I'm betting Arabic support will disappear from your brother's 5530 when he updates the firmware (read here to find out why).

  • Nokia 225 Arabic Language Pack

Is it possible to add the arabic language pack to the nokia 225? My mother just bought a new nokia but she loves arabic and it is necessary that she can read it on her phone. If not, could someone suggest a simple nokia (not smartphone) with the arabic preinstalled. The product code of the phone is 059V5W8. Thanks.

With a Nokia Series 30+ (MediaTek) based phone like yours, the set of languages depend on the firmware variant. The firmware variant is identified through the Nokia Product Code which is printed on the label on the phone (059…). You have a phone designated for Germany. If you had 059V5Z3 for example, you would get the Arabic language. However, you might loose other languages this way, like German. Which languages do you need?
Officially, only a Nokia Care Center is able to change the firmware variant, officially.

Both Apple iPhone and Windows Phone can be used as feature phones, when you disable the mobile data. Apple iPhone comes with all languages preinstalled and costs around 280 € new. With a Windows Phone, you need a Wi-Fi once to download additional languages – this can be done directly from its user-interface. I recommend to start with the Nokia Lumia 730, because of its compass sensor for pedestrian navigation – which starts at 180 € currently.

  • Arabic language first charector disappear

1 - when i type in arabic language
the first charectore in each line will disappear
2 - when i try to move the blinking line between charectores to add or remove some text the blinking line not moving
3 - when i duble click on a word it will NOT be hilighted
4 - there is no foot note in the tools and that is very important to write the references and some notes
    regards

iBA has bugs that make it unsuitable for Arabic.  Also apple requires epub3 format for Arabic books, so you need to use a different app in any case, because iBA can't produce that.

Taken from the Nokia Device Update FAQ at
    http://europe.nokia.com/A4577229#faq34
Why has my device changed language after updating?
After an update, your Nokia device may restart in its native language. To change the language go to Settings > Phone > General > Phone language.
If your Nokia device was originally manufactured for use in another country or region, using Nokia Software Updater may revert the set of available device languages to the original language set.
If your preferred language is no longer available after using Nokia Software Updater, you may need to return your Nokia device to a Nokia Care point to have this language reinstated.

  • N97 Arabic language lost after updating.....

    Hello Everybody.
I will make it simple this time.
I have 'middle east' version of nokia n97 with Arabic language included."I could write in Arabic"
after updating to V22 I couldn't do that any more?
Is it possible to reinstall that language back without Hard resetting my phone ?

    farby wrote:
This thread will explain the reason.. Be warned that any Future Firmware Updates / Re-install will again remove this language and you will need to get it installed again thru' Nokia Care...
Future firmware updates will not remove the language after that, if whomever does the flashing also changes the product code to match the new firmware language variant.
