Archive Workflow tables

Hi Consultants,
We are requested to archive the workflow approval tables and generate a report from Archive tables.
Can anyone tell me the what are the tables needs to be archived for workflow approval information(Action History)?

  • Archive workflow for FCSrv - does it work that way?

    Hi,
    we are installing FCSvr in our shop by the end of the month and after a lot of reading I have a question about an archiving workflow and if that works that way?
    We have about 1 TB of files each month that are finished productions that need to go. Deleting is not an option as we often have to go back and do changes, we also want to have the clips somehow (digital, not only on video tape) available for later production. Final Cut Server sounds like a solution, eh?
    We have 1x Xserve with FCSvr and 1x Xserve RAID connected via fiber uplink via trunked Gbit ethernet (works for us..)
    The idea is to connect a Netgear ReadyNAS 1100 (Link: http://www.netgear.com/Products/Storage/ReadyNAS1100.aspx) with 3x 1TB SATA discs in Raid5 (4th slot is empty) to the network. Name would be archive001.
    In FCSvr I would setup a device and tell it to use as archive space.
    Once full (or lets say around 80%) I unmount the raid and shut it down, label the 3 drives and stick them in the shelf.
    3 new drives go into the Netgear, I setup archive002, make it a new device in FCSvr and tell it to use as archive.
    And so on and so forth.
    In the case an editor needs an old shot / project (happens not very often, I'm calculating with max 4x a month, excluding if they need data that is on the device that is still mounted because its not yet full) FCSvr tells me where the archived asset is (?), let assume on device archive001.
    I go to my shelf, grab the drives, stick them into the Netgear, and the person is able to grab the asset.
    What happens if an user requests a restore and the "wrong" raid is mounted? (the device is not there?) Does he get an appropriate error message so that he can tell the IT person to change drives or how does that work?
    Cost wise: the Netgear is about 1100 EUR and we already have a unit so in case one fails and we cannot get a new one (any more) we are sort of covered and can copy to a new system.
    Each 1 TB is about 90 EUR at the moment, though Raid5 I can use 2 TB out of 3, so I end up paying 270 EUR for 2 TB of archive (plus the initial RAID).
    The system is scalable (to some extend).
    Future goal (2 years down the line?) would be a Object Matrix setup with Xserves and Promise 12-24 TB RAIDs. But not now (money)..
    What do you think?

    PS: Data Tape: been there, done that, dont like it (for this purpose, we use data tape e.g. to create "Master" of XDCAM footage) and too inflexible (I actually hope to reuse all the 1 TB drives for the Object MAtrix thing one day).

    you might write a pre restore script which checks if your archive volume of choice is available. If not, it can then send an email to your administrator, so that he can make that volume available.

  • Problem to open VISIO in workflow table

    Hi All,
    I opened the workflow table by getting by going to view -> select table-> workflow as i was not able to open it in drop down list. Once opening the workflow when I am trying to open the Visio document in workflow field, i cannot open I got the error
    "There is no path information for workflow.vsl in registry"
    Then I configured the Advanced and Security Tabs of VISIO. The configuration done Advanced tab is Set both Add-Ons and Start-Up to the folder where the MDM VSL is installed in Security Tab *Enabled the Automation Events Check box * and restarted the VISIO to get changes effected.
    But still I am not able to open the Visio and get the following error.
    *The add-on listed below could not be loaded because the security level is high, and the add-on has not been digitally signed or verified as safe. To enable the add-on, you can either have the add-on signed or change your security level.

    Please load you MS Visio and check :
    "Tools->Trust center->Macro settings" set to "disable all macros with notifications"
    and "Trust acces to VBA project object model" should be empty

  • Approver & approval date from Requisition & PO Approval workflow tables

    Dear All,
    My req is to create a report that calculates the lead time taken by a Purchase Requisition to be converted into a PO and released. In the output they want the APPROVER NAME, DATE APPROVED against the REQUISITION NUMBER (EBAN-BANFN) and also they want APPROVER NAME, DATE APPROVED against the Purchase Order (so all in all 2 fields of approvers & 2 fields of approval dates). But the thing is they want these APPROVER NAME, DATE APPROVED from the Requisition Approval Workflow tables.
    Please update the table & fields that will have the Approver and date approved from workflow corresponding to the Purchase Requisition Number and Purchase Order. or What is the link between the "Approver, approval date & Purchase Requisition Number" and "Approver, approval date & Purchase Order".

    We have HR/Payroll and Purchasing working fine for 6 years with the following schedule settings. 0.1 seems too frequent:

  • Workflow Tables for Report

    Hi
    I need to develop a report with following information. The report should have current status. For example if 5 approvers have to approve the document then the report should show at the end all 5 approvers and the status.
    Approver name , Approval status (Approved / rejected) , Approval date (Workitem execution date).
    I looked in several tables but i dont find the approval status and approval date. Can anyone help me in finding the exact workflow table were i can find this informations.

    You can make use of some function modules that reads the workflow log. You can call them in a report and then call this report in your workflow.
    This will do all the job.

    I have prepared the query to retrieve the Journal Approval Action History from Workflow tables. Below is the Query. This is the Form Personalization. In the Journal Screen i have attached the Menu Action History and placed this query for form personalization.

    Hi Anjan,
    You can try to set the FND: View Object Max Fetch Size to a value that would allow more data to be returned. However, be aware that this can cause performance issues.

    We are having performance issue when timesheet transfer job runs since the no of records in CATSDB table is more(4,013,039 Entries).
    I would like to know how to enable archiving at table level.so that timesheet transfer job doesnt run for a long time.

    You can only archive data based on archiving objects and not based on individual tables as it has to maintain the consistancy within the database.

    I am able to see Workflows table in Console but not able to see it Data Manager drop down table list in record mode for selection.
    Even not allowed to create another workflow table.

    Reo,
    You will not be able to create another workflow table. There is only a single workflow table that will hold all the workflows you create through the Data Manager.
    As Vito mentioned, please make sure to load the corresponding MDMWorkflow component on the client machines running the Data Manager that you wish to create and view workflows from.
    Once the workflow component is installed you should see it as a new tab in the Data Manager. You will need Visio to create workflows.

    We need to archive S033 -Statistics: Movements for Current Stock (Individual Records) table. After we archive this table is there any standart analyses report that we can not run anymore? For example can we run the report MC44, MC.9 etc. after the archiving?

    As far as I know there are no reports available which can read the archived statistical data. Hence you can not run the report MC44 etc to access the archived S033 information structure data.

    Once I archive workflows and work items, is there any way I can see them through the normal transactions like SWI6, SWIA etc. Or can I read them only through SARA transaction?

    As per the normal archiving procedure after archiving the workflow item we generally run a delete program to delete the archived workitem from system. Hence it will not be possible to find them using SWi1, SWi6 or any other reports for workitems.
    However you can access the archive workitem using SWW_ARCHIV transaction.

    Create a simple SharePoint designer workflow to move item("Copy"
    function and then the
    "Delete" function).from one list to another and publish it
    next create a policy for document to call that workflow after 7 days of its creation like below.
    Policy will call workflow automatically after 7 days.

    We want to archive around 16 tables tables which includes some standard tables and some z tables. We want to archive them. But after cheking in SARA we found that, there is no Archiving Object available for those tables.
    So how can we archive these table? Do we need to use some z program to explicitely archive these tables of there is some mechanism in SARA to archive them?

    You have to create your own archive object, first take a look at some documentation like [Archive Development Kit|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/2a/fa0391493111d182b70000e829fbfe/frameset.htm] and then [Developing Archiving Solutions|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/2a/fa042d493111d182b70000e829fbfe/frameset.htm] .. then use SARA on your z_archive_object.
