Archiving Objects in SAP Retail (transaction SARA)

Hi All.
I have problem with archiving object WS_ACSITE in SAP RETAIL.(Transaction SARA)
When I write data archiving, message appeard is that archive sessions are created.
When I try to execute the next step: delete - the archive sessions are not appearing in the dialog box where we should choose the archive sessions for deletion.
The above situation appear when I am working with plants existing in system for a while, but when I've create a new one and try to go through all SARA's steps it is OK, and master date of sites are deleted (e.g WB03).
Can anyone help me?
The second question is u2013 can I restore deleted sites to system?
thanks in advance.
Marcin

Hello,
Check below information for Material master record required to archive:
1. Is there any stocks in the plant for which MMR need s to be archived? (Stock = Zero)
2. Is there any open items at FI accounting? (There should be no pending bills or parked documents)
3. Is there any pending delivery for this material? (there should be no open deliveries)
If all the above criteria is met then set the deletion flag and indicator for perticular Plant you are looking for.
Note: Make sure that non of the other plants which is sharing this MMR is marked for deletion flag / indicatory
Then execute Archive run for archiving object MM_MATNR.
Note: All the required configuration is done for archiving object MM_MATNR.
Hope this will help you to archive MMR only for your required plant.
-Thanks,
Ajay

I need to archive data using archiving object CHANGEDOCU. Now the condition is that in this archiving object, I need to restrict the data (to be archived) to company code 1030 (country US). As the company code field is not available in the selection screen of this archiving object, can you please tell me, how can I limit the data to company code 1030, using other fields in the selection screen.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hello,
If you are targeting few tables for your requirement than you may create a customized(Z) archiving object for them using transaction AOBJ.
While creating the archiving program you can create your own selection screen. On this basis you can write the select queries and then archive them.
A detailed steps to create a customized archiving object and program is mentioned in below link.

  • Archive and delete sap event management objects

Team, I need to configure the archiving objects and residence time to Archive and delete EM objects. there are three steps of configuration, and I have never done this before.
Can any one of you help me in setting up this config and the programs that need to run to archive and delete these objects.
I would really appreciate you help and quick response on this.

    Hello Steffen,
I was told that it would be possible to display archived and deleted event handlers using BAPI /SAPTRX/BAPI_EH_GET_DATA_GEN. I tested it, but could not verify this statement. SAP Help reads:
"The archiving object /SAPTRX/A0 only supports a technical view in the Archive Explorer of the Archive Information System. This view is similar to the display in transaction SE16."
It would be great if you could help clarify this. Thank you!

  • Unable to archive warehouse view of an article in SAP Retail

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I want to archive the warehouse view of a material which i extended to a wrong warehouse by mistake .
The basic check would be first to discontinue the article by WSE1,, i could not do that because it was having open PO and sales stock. How to close them. I tried closing PO by MASS by putting a lock indicator as "l". Still its not helping me out.
Anyone please let me know how to close all the POs and sales stock.
    Regards.

It is archiving object MM_MATNR to archive a material master in total or just a certain org level of  the material. No other archiving object needed for this.
...i had performed SARA using MM-MATNR and had selected the object table as MLGN.
I am lost. I do archiving for many years but do not know where you can select a MLGN object .
After executing it successfully with no  error in the job log
errors in the joblog refer to errors in the job. logical errors are stored in the spool file to the job (preconditioned you have selected to get a log)
    > I had not performed the delete operation by SARA.
    >  why do  i still see the MLGN enteries for the article.
writing an archive does not remove entries from your table, it just duplicates the info, from the table into an archive.
the delete step vefrifies if the archive can be accessed and is readable and then loops thru the archive and deletes the corresponding records from the database tables.

    Runtime errors         SYNTAX_ERROR
           Occurred on     12/08/2009 at   13:45:09
Syntax error in program "SAPLARCH ".
    What happened?
The following syntax error occurred in the program SAPLARCH :
"Method "GET_DATA" is unknown or PROTECTED or PRIVATE."
    Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPMAADM" had to be terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    What can you do?
Please eliminate the error by performing a syntax check
(or an extended program check) on the program "SAPLARCH ".
You can also perform the syntax check from the ABAP/4 Editor.
If the problem persists, proceed as follows:
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
    Error analysis
The following syntax error was found in the program SAPLARCH :
"Method "GET_DATA" is unknown or PROTECTED or PRIVATE."
    How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
    following documents to SAP:
    1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
    2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
       part.
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
       supply the source code.
To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

    > ISA Server is not configured to allow SSL requests from this port. Most Web browsers use port 443 for SSL requests. (12204)
This seems to be your specific network configuration.  It seems that your corporate network is blocking HTTPS requests which don't use port 443. Your ABAP system is configured to use a port other than 443. Either talk to your basis admins about changing your ABAP system configuration to use port 443 or talk to your network administrators to allow whichever port the ABAP system is running on.

  • Mass deletion of batches - SAP Archiving Object MM_SPSTOCK

__SAP Archiving Object MM_SPSTOCK (Batches and Special Stocks)__
Would like to know if there is any standard program or report available through which the batches (to be deleted) can be set with a deletion flag. We are in the process of implementing the archiving object MM_SPSTOCK and the batches have not been flagged. There is no pre-processing job for MM_SPSTOCK that can be used to set the deletion flag for all eligible batches.
This object MM_SPSTOCK does not have any date or selection criteria for the write job. All batches with set deletion flag will be archived/deleted.
We are in the process of implementing LO_CHVW (Batch where-used data) for which imlementing MM_SPSTOCK is a pre-requisite.
Would appreciate any leads around this. Any other suggestions around the MM_SPSTOCK & LO_CHVW will be great.
    Thanks
    Sam

I am basically looking for a method (program / report) through which mass deletion flag can be set for eligible batches prior to using MM_SPSTOCK archiving object to archving / deleting the batches.
    Thanks

  • Archiving object CRM_SERORD

    Hi everyone-
I need to clean up my transaction monitor screen (delete/archive old test messages). I am able to delete the basis part of the message fine by running the report Z_DELETE_BASIC_NOTIFICATIONS per note 566225, however I need some help in archiving the CRM part of the message.
I know that this is done in transaction SARA by using archiving object CRM_SERORD, but that is all I know....once I execute transaction SARA, what do I do next?
Can anyone walk me through the steps for archiving the CRM side of the message?
    Thanks,
    Nathan

    Hi,
Data is said to be archived when both the Write job and Delete job for the data has run successfully. TA: SARA is used to run both the Write and Delete programs. Before you run these programs you need to do some customizing
    - Archive Object Specific
    - Application specific
For detailed steps visit this <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/e6/c66f3b6c980c3be10000000a11402f/content.htm">link</a>
    Hope this helps

  • Archiving object CUHD (Customs Document)

    Hi All,
I am new to GTS. Could you please let me know what all t-codes related data will archive if I archive CUHD(Customs Document) object.
    Regards,
    J.

    Hi Jatin,
I fully agree with Siba that we don't have any T-code related data up for archiving but it is always  table related (transactional) and area specific data that is archived.
For more dive into this topic, you can go to below area's:-
    GTS cockpit-->System Administration-->Archiving.
    or
you visit the Archiving administration directly through t-code SARA. Here, you will find a variety of objects to choose from based on the view of which data to be archived.
Moreover, for further reference, please visit SAP standard help on this topic as below.
    System Administration - SAP Library
This explanation is simple and clear. Hope you will find it helpful.

  • Archiving objects

    Hi,
Can you please send me 'step by step process Archiving data objects and how we can extract archived data from R/3?'. If possible please send me with screen shots to my mail-id [email protected] or plese attach to this thread.
    Thanks & Regards
    Venkata Rao.

    Hi,
    Creating Archiving Objects
    Prerequisites
The programs you enter must already exist in the system.
    Procedure
    Call transaction AOBJ.
Choose New Entries and enter the following data:
    General Information
    Object Name
    Name of the archiving object
    Text
    Short description
    Application Area
Organizational category for assigning archive files
    Application Component
    Used for assigning archive files
    Programs and Functions
    Write Program
Name of the program that writes the archive files
    Interruption Possible
Setting this indicator means the archiving object supports Interruption and Continuation of an Archiving Session. If you set this, the write program must also handle the interruption request. This indicator must not be set if the Do Not Start Before End of Write Phase is set.
    Delete Program
Name of the program that deletes the data from the database after the write program has finished
Do Not Start Before End of Write Phase
If this indicator is set, the delete programs do not start until the write program is finished. To actually start the delete phase immediately, the Start automatic. indicator must be set in archiving-object-specific Customizing.
This indicator should not be set for most archiving objects. Before you set this indicator, decide whether you actually need to use this indicator or can do without it.
    Reload Program (optional)
Name of the program with which the data can be loaded from the archive back into the database.
    Prohibit New Session During Reload
If this indicator is set, no new archiving session is generated when reloading archiving sessions. The reload program is not authorized to call the function module ARCHIVE_SAVE_OBJECT.
    Preprocessing Program (optional)
Name of the program with which data is to be prepared for data archiving.
    Postprocessing Program (optional)
Name of the program with which data is to be processed after it has been archived. If, for example, the data is only marked for deletion in the delete program, the actual deletion can be executed in the postprocessing program.
    Index Build Program
Name of the program for building indexes
    ArchiveSelect.Active
If this indicator is set, the Archive Selection pushbutton is displayed in transaction SARA for building and deleting indexes. If you select archive files using variants, do not set this indicator.
    Index Delete Program
Name of the program for deleting indexes
    Index Build Allowed
If this indicator is set, an index can be created for this archiving object. For more information, see Creating ADK Indexes and Using Them to Access Archive. The actual index creation can be controlled by a Customizing entry.
    "Invalid" Indicator Cannot Be Revoked
If this indicator is set, the "Invalid" indicator for archiving sessions cannot be reset in archive management once it is set.
    Archiving Object Generated
Indicates the archiving object was generated.
As of SAP Web Application Server 6.10 write and delete programs can no longer be generated at runtime.
    Cross-Client
    Archiving is client-independent.
    End Dialog
Dialog mode must stop before archiving can begin. Only set this if collisions may occur during data archiving. In general, this should not be set as it was primarily designed for older archiving objects where parallel operation was not able to be guaranteed between online operation and data archiving.
    Documentation
    Info for Write Program
Name of the document containing information about the object-specific write program
    Info for Delete Program
Name of the document containing information about the object-specific delete program.
    Info for Reload Program
Name of the document containing information about the object-specific reload program.
    Info for Preprocess Prog
Name of the document containing information about the object-specific preprocessing program.
    Info for Postproc Prog
Name of the document containing information about the object-specific postprocessing program.
    Info for Read Program
Name of the document containing information about the object-specific read program.
You create the documents using the documentation maintenance transaction (SE61).
Save your entries and return to the initial screen of transaction AOBJ.

  • Create archive object

    Hello.
I created a new archive object at AOBJ.
    I copied MM_ACCTIT actually.
But an error message "Entry & does not exist in ARCH_OBJ" is shown when I enter the new archive object at SARA.
The error does not occur in development system.
Beacause entry exists in table ARCH_OBJ.
I transported the new archive pbject to production system.
And I found no entry exists in table ARCH_OBJ.
    The enrty was not transported.
I don't remember how to create entry in ARCH_OBJ.
I guess the entry is created by running in any transaction.
But I don't know what the transaction is.
    Thank you and regards.

We are confronted with the following situation: The InfoObject 0MATERIAL is used for SAP Retail Article. 0MATERIAL has been extended with some specific attributes, but beside from this it´s still a standard Business Content object (lenght 18 characters etc.). We are loading data on a daily basis.
Now for the future there´s the intention to re-use already existing article numbers for different articles (!). E.g. article 012345678910111213 is now a bath towel, but somewhere in the future it changes into a computer or something else.
From my understanding, we cannot delete the "old" articles in SAP BI as long as they are used in any transactional data. We also cannot change the article text, because 0MATERIAL is not time-dependent. I know that we can make the texts time-dependent (valid from - valid to), but in this case the users have to know when the last change of every specific article has taken place - and this can´t be guaranteed. Beside from this, I can´t see a solution for the reporting on articles because they cannot be compared.
So - has anybody of you been confrontated with a similar situation and has been solved this problem ?
    Thank you very much.
    Regards,
    Alexander

  • Creation of archiving objects in AFX_WB

    Hi,
I am trying to create an archiving object in AFX_WB.
I assigned a custom package which I created to the archiving object.
The transaction generates the programs for the archiving object by itself with the inputs given.
In one of the steps, I am getting an error " SAP Object cannot be assigned to the custom package".
When I tried with a standard package, I got error in another step saying "custom object cannot be assigned to standard package".
Is there an appropriate package which I can assign the archiving object ( as it has got a combination of custom and SAP standard object) ?
What is the purpose of including package in package hierarchy and defining user access for them?
    Thanks and regards,
    Lakshmi Reghuvaran

    Hi,
    What is your Apex version?
Is your Apex instance runtime environment or can you login to INTERNAL workspace?
See this for Apex 4. Document do not say how disable demonstration app creation on runtime environment.
