Archiving problems JOB_OUTPUT_INFO-ARCHDONE

Hi all.
When we got our archiving connection down or deactivated for any reason and we issue a document, NAST table says the archived was done but thats not true, beacause there is no connection to archive.
I'm checkin JOB_OUTPUT_INFO-ARCHDONE after issue the form, but the value is set in X despite the archive failed.
How can I know after the smartform was issued if the archive was done ok or not?

Hi Nico,
In TC OAC3 you should be able to see in which link table the object you are trying to archive is stored. (TOA01, 2 or 3). If your document exist in the link table, your document is in the archive.

Is it archive problem?

We have created Miro invoice in the year 2005, and it got cleared in the same year.
Now in database, we have accounting documents which are only from 2006
2005 Documents are not available in BSEG table since those are archive
And the problem is, if i take that tax gl account which is used in invoice in 2005 in FBL3N, still it is in open item
And same item is displaying in BSIS also, and if i verify the concerned cleared document in BSAS it is not available, i think since it has been archived.
My doubt is if the fi document is archived, why only tax line items are still open in FBL3n and main document is archived the related tax line item should be also archive or not?

Sender Adapter archiving problem

Hello All,
In the sender adapter channel, we are getting the following error message. The messages are not getting archived in the archive folder that we have mentioned in the Sender adapter configuration in the ID.
Putting message into send queue failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.DuplicateMessageException: Message Id 36f5f1e6-97a8-41b0-1fb8-b9c2bdbb6008(OUTBOUND) already exists in duplicate check table: com.sap.sql.DuplicateKeyException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (SAPPIXDB.SYS_C00159667) violated .
Returning to application. This error is issued if a user tries to insert an already existing value into a column defined unique.
This error will also be generated if an existing record is updated to generate a duplicate (unique) key. Typically this is a duplicate primary key, but it need not be the primary key.
Remedy:
Only one of the following will be appropriate:
1. Remove the unique restriction.
2. Change the restriction to allow duplicate keys. An index could be changed to be a non-unique index, but remember that the primary key must always be unique.
3. Do not insert the duplicate key.

Outlook 2011 for Mac. Archive problem.

VIP user has Outlook 2011 for Mac. Not deleted from the Exchange 2007 server leaves when archived. Mac OS X "Mail" client, this function works well, but right now some Inbox empty its contents.I would like to get an answer to the problem archiving...

Archiving Problem

Hi experts,
I am trying to display Archived Documents for Appropriation Request Application which is
under the business object BUS2104.
The basic customizing for Archiving here required were
1. Transaction OAC2(defining Global document types)
In my example I created as follows Name:ZARCHIVE longname: "ArchiveDocument for AppropriationRequest"
Doc Class = FAX and Status "X"
2.Transcation OAC3 where I linked the ContentRepository(T1 in my case), Documenttype(ZARCHIVE) and Business object(BUS2104)
I have created an Appropriation Request( using transaction IMA11) and using Global services option Create->Store business documents
I selected the Attachment for Appropriation Request and dragged and dropped an image file.
3.Now I am able to successful view the document using the "Attachment" option and double clicking on the LongName which appears here again
"ArchiveDocument for AppropriationRequest".
My question is how is it possible to change this long name which appears here again, to the
file name which I dragged and dropped.
Our customer wants to attach many image files to the same
Appropriation Request and all of these attachments will have the same Longname(specified during creating a DocumentType) and it would be
difficult to identify.
Can anybody suggest me how to solve this problem.

thanks for the reply, I think I've got it now. If I want to work on an archived project I have to copy all the stuff back to the drive that I'd originally nominated as scratch disk and exactly recreate the path with the original names. What I did when trying it out was to copy the stuff to a different mac and the original project was captured to an external. If I've got it right, I either need to use the original external or manually direct it to it's new location. I guess that means I ought to include the info showing the original directory path in the backup if I want to recreate the exact path. As you correctly identified, it was the first step of the ladder that was different - i.e an external.
In general, I usually trash everything (except, of course, the project file) and on the rare occasion I need to work on something again, I recapture from the project file. I just thought I'd try a different approach to see how it differs from recapturing. Also, with the falling price of external FW drives, using DVD appears only of use for the smaller projects.
Consider my smartness level upped a notch.

Archiving problem in XI

            I facing a problem while performing Archiving activity in our XI production system.
           I performed this task by first i went to   Tcode:SXMB_ADM, there define interface for archiving & retention period,run the schedule job archive option in the same session.
   Here my problem is i unable to archive the message which r
older than 1 day, though i defined the retention period as 1 day in SXMB_ADM.
It is archiving the messages which r older than 30 day.
we performed the same task in our development system, there
every thing is gone in right way.

Hi,
It may be that there aren't any messages available for archiving. Run transaction SE38, execute report RSXMB_SHOW_REORG_STATUS, select 'Check All Messages' radio button, and then click on the execute button.
Once the report has run, look at the 'Message and adapter status is considered in the following' section; the -Messages to be flagged for archiving: XXX (XXX = <any_number>) should tell you if there are any messages available for archiving.
If it is '0' then you do not have any messages available for archiving, in which case you can either run Report RSXMB_SHOW_STATUS, which displays Message and Adapter status along with the number of messages in each status.
You can view table 'SXMSMSTAT' for the meaning of the Messages and Adapter statuses. You can also view table SXMSPMAST which contains all the XML messages along with their statuses.
The main thing is that the MSGSTATE, ADAPT_STAT, ITFACTION, & REORG values for each XML messages in table SXMSPMAST, has to be the right, else the messages will not be available for archiving.

PI 2.0 configuration archive problems

Hi,
I've got 2 problems with archiving device configurations in Prime Infrastructure 2.0.
1. Configuration archive job status is Completed and Last run status is Success
Looking at Configuration archive results, I see this:
Fetch Running: Success
Fetch Startup: Success
Fetch VLAN: Unsupported operation
Fetch Modules: N/A
Archive: Success
It's a Cisco 7200 router.
Looking at its Configuration archive, I can see just the running config. Startup config is missing.
2. Configuration archive job status is Completed and Last run status is Partial-Success
Looking at Configuration archive results, I see this:
Fetch Running: Success
Fetch Startup: Success
Fetch VLAN: Unsupported operation
Fetch Modules: N/A
Archive: Error in archiving for device '3663756'
It's a Cisco 6500 FWSM.
Looking at its Configuration archive, I can't see anything, it says 'No data available'. Both running and startup configs are missing.
Do you have some ideas what is wrong here, why can't I see the configurations?

I've found the reason why this is happening. In the case when startup and running configs are identical (disregarding lines like 'last configuration change', 'ntp clock-period',...), Prime doesn't show startup config under Configuration Archive, it
just shows the running config.

Archiveing problem

I have a File->XI->Jdbc Scenario.
usually it works fine, the file is picked up and successfully updates the DB,
but sometimes (one every 10 messages) i get an error:
"File "
amee\users\INTF\BWP\Voyage analysis\Captains files\VesselReport_20090131-200903-785.xls";; - archiving after processing failed - retry."
than theres an error:
"Putting message into send queue failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.DuplicateMessageException: Message Id 0cfc8519-8f62-445e-1303-eafbcdac3c2c(OUTBOUND) already exists in duplicate check table: com.sap.sql.DuplicateKeyException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (SAPSR3DB.SYS_C00160239) violated ."
and in the end the archiving succeeds.
the problem is that i get alerts on it and waist time on checking it.
had anybody encountered a problem like this ?

I don't think so. Increasing Poll interval will not affect Older Files. If file will read that folder once again after 10 min or 1 hr, if files are not moved then insertion in Batabase will always throw duplicate key error, as Constraint violation. Moving files to other folder is a good solution. or may be if youincrease Poll interval and manually move processed file to another folder, then it is a different case.
Also Try delete mode option in File sender adapter. It will delete processed files. Just have a look into that option, may help you.

XI Message Archiving Problem

Hi,
I was trying to schedule XML Message Archiving Job in XI 3.0 SP16.
As per schedule procedure, I have defined interfaces for archiving and retention period for the same. Also I have configured the archive object BC_XMB in SARA and activated archive infrastructure SAP_BC_XMB in SARI.
I have scheduled the job SXMB_ADMIN, and the job ran without any error. When I checked the job log of ARV_BC_XMB_WRI<timestamp>, it says "0 XML Messages Archived" and I am unable to see the archive file in the target location.
I have also run the report as per note 872388, i.e. RSXMB_SHOW_REORG_STATUS and it shows "Msgs not in retention period (can be archived): 2,030".
Can anybody help me, how can I solve this problem, so that I can archive the XML Messages.

Zip archiving problem

I'm having this problem every time I try to zip anything: I get a message that says:
The archive's list of contents cannot be created.
Two friends are having exactly the same problems.
We also can't stablish AFP network connections, and all these problems started the same day.
Is there anybody else with the same problems? Is there some kind of solution?? What could be this? Some Virus?
We are using the same OS X, 10.4.6, and two of the affected iMacs are PPC based, and mine is an Intel one.

This isn't an area in which I have a lot of experience, so I did a little searching about these topics, in an effort to help. But I'm not sure whether what I found matches the specifics of what you're experiencing. It may help if you define the problems in a bit more detail.
(1) Regarding: "I'm having this problem every time I try to zip anything: I get a message that says: "The archive's list of contents cannot be created."Are you using (a) Finder's File »» Create Archive of "foldername" or (b) StuffIt (which version?) or (c) another means in an effort to archive?
If (b), Note that there has been some discussion of StuffIt 10.x issues in various forums — most of which seem to have been resolved by updating to StuffIt version 10.0.2 (PPC) or the StuffIt Universal (Beta) release. For example: in this "StuffIt" thread, problems using some StuffIt Deluxe components were reported to be addressed in the StuffIt Universal (Beta) release. Perhaps reviewing VersionTracker readers' feedback on StuffIt version 10.0.2 would be helpful.
The only case I could find by a quick Google•Mac search for the specific error message you've quoted was a thread about problems encountered [apparently] by users of the "Windows hack" trying to update to OS X 10.4.3 (before Boot Camp Beta was released) — and I presume this isn't relevant.
(2) About: "We also can't [e]stablish AFP network connections, and all these problems started the same day... What could be this? Some Virus?" —— stop thinking about viruses. A specific case (and a "work-around" for it) are discussed in this "10.4.6 AFP issues?" thread. I also found this "10.4.6 AFP & PhotoShop CS2 fix" thread that discusses a successful "work-around" for that case.
I hope this is useful to you. If not, perhaps others can help if you'll describe the problems in a little more detail.

PI Archiving Problem

Hi Experts,
I want to archive messages in PI. Currently, all the messages are marked for deletion. To change the delete flag to archive flag, I execute SAP standard program RSXMB_DEL_TO_ARCH. When I execute this program and filter the value for particular interface, I am getting timeout error.
For example: There are around 8000 messages for a particular date range of all the interfaces. Only 3 messages are there for the interface that I want to archive. However the program reads all 8000 records and displays that only 3 messages can be archived. If I expand the date range, total number of messages increase and the program dumps with timeout. Any idea how can I successfully process a large amount of messages ?

Hi All,
The problem is solved. I increased the maximum runtime parameter of the program to 86400 seconds (24 Hrs) and scheduled the program in background. The program was executed successfully. However it took around 3 hours to complete the program.

XI Archiving Problem

Hi
Our XI system is configured to archive and delete xml messages. All Interfaces has been defined for archiving.
XML messages has been archived for all interfaces except one interface. It use to work earlier but somehow it is
not working now.
I deleted the Interface from 'Interfaces fro Archinving' and re-added there but problem is still there.
Any solution to fix this problema and why it happened???

kindly execute the following steps:
(1) display a single message belonging to the critical interface in SXMB_MONI
(2) open version 'Outbound Binding' or 'Call Adapter'
(3) in that version display the 'RunTime' header object
(4) in that object look for tag 'SAP:InterfaceAction'
Please le me know the value of that tag.

[Solved] Thunderbird archiving problem

I have an account on fastmail.fm, and I would like to use Thunderbird to access it. I tried it, however, there seems to be a problem while archiving mail. Whenever I click the archive button, instead of transferring mail to the "Archive" folder of my account, it creates a folder named "Archives", creates a subfolder within of the year (2015 for this year, for example), and shoves the mail there. I changed this folder in the account settings page such that Thunderbird would (logically) archive to the existing "Archive" folder. However, Thunderbird does not seem to be respecting this. Does anyone know of a good reason for this and how I may fix it?

Yup, I am. As of now, I've changed some settings in the about:config dialog of Thunderbird, and it seems to be respecting the issue. I'm not marking it as solved yet, for I want to see if this persists. If it keeps working out as it seems to be right now, then I shall mark it fixed.
It seems to be an issue because I have multiple aliases attached to my fastmail account. It seems that setting the option in the accounts pane doesn't set it for all your aliases. You need to set them all manually using the config editor. Or at least, that's what I've concluded as of now.

Config archiving problem

am having problem in archiving config from switches in cisco works. am having problem in only 5 switches all others switch configurations archived when I try to do this I found following error.

Trying to download CS 5.5 Design Premium on a new computer - archive problems

Brand new Windows 7 laptop. File downloads as a .7z so apparently I need special software to even extract it. Have now tried WinZip and the 7-Zip file extractor but keep getting "archive" error.
Try to extract files using 7-Zip and get this error message: Can not open file 'C:\Program Files\AdobeCS-55\DesignPremium_cs5_5_LS1.7z'as archive
Cannot launch the application file that should run set-up because I get message "problem occurred while extracting the archive". Tells me to download CS5.5 again - but I have downloaded it twice and now have two versions on my computer that differ in size by 1/2 a GB - so that is disconcerting as well.
Any other ideas of what to try?
