Are BT actually taking any new orders for the old ...

Question

I was talking to someone on another forum who said he thinks that Vision will be phased out and people moved over to youview.
I asked him why he thinks that and he said that when he tried to order, the only option he was given was a youview box.
So I thought I would try this myself. I went into MyBT and tried to add TV and he appears to be right. They only offered a youview box, there was no other option, unless I missed it.
Are new sales youview only now?

I was advised in online chat with a rep on bt.com to do my phone and broadband order and then seperately order Vision+ over the phone once thats progressing.
I have done the phone & BB order and will be doing the TV order in the early part of next week.
I see. In that case I think you will need to try and order it over the phone and make things very clear to the BT sales rep why you specifically need the BT Viision+ box (for receiving the BT Sport channels over Freeview). Assuming they are happy to do that then they should sell you the necessary viewing card for £10 as well.

I think BT are just keen to move people off the Freeview premium channels onto Infinity, so don't encourage it on the web site. Infinity and Youview is meant to be the BT platform of the future.
