Are BT going to make BT sports pay after a year?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2013/jun/27/regulators-force-bskyb-pay-tv-entrants
He also hinted that BT's much-hyped offer of "free" Premier League football – the company says there will be no cost beyond its broadband rental package – might not last that long.
"This is not a short-term offer, but we only do offers at 12 months at a time, we don't generally do offers longer than that," he said. "We'll review it as we review all our products and see how it is doing over the course of the next year. We will see how it's doing and decide what we do going forward. It is not a gimmick, it is intended to be a long-term offer, but we'll see."
So the head of BT says they don't normally do offers over 12 months. You do contracts over 12 months though don't you?
I have just signed an 18 month BB contract with BT and I did so purely on the basis of getting free BT sports. If that BT sports stops being free just 12 months into that 18 month contract then that truly would be the end of any possible relationship between BT and I. I would never consider using their services again.
How dare they claim offers are 12 months only but then have 18 month contracts?

I took out infinity 1 which is only a 12 month contract for this reason, I can weigh up if the service i've been given is good or not. If it is i'll sign up again if not go elsewhere. Up to now its been poor as I still don't have any sort of service from anyone thanks to bt messing up.

iOS 7 doesn't work on iPod touch 4g, so does the mean its the end for this device? Or are they going to make updates specially for lower devices an apps that are compatible ??

Which apps remain compatible will be up to the individual developers who sell those apps. There will be no further iOS updates, but those aren't really necessary to continue to use and enjoy your device. I still have an iPad 1 running on iOS 5, and it is fully functional.
The App Store has an app called VintApps 3.1.1 that is specifically geared toward iOS 3.1, however, you would probably be able to run most of those apps on your iPod, and considering that there will be a rather large market for iOS 6 apps users, it is not likely that you will see a significant reduction in choices any time soon.
It is not the end for the device in any sense except that it is at it's ultimate iOS level. And again, I have an iPad that is at it's ultimate iOS level (iOS 5), and I get new apps all the time that work for both my iPad and my iPhone that runs iOS 6.1.1
    No need to fret....

  • When are you going to make GOOGLE TOOLBAR compatible with the latest version of firefox, i will not update to version 8 until its compatible

    Question
When are you going to make GOOGLE TOOLBAR compatible with the latest version of firefox, i will not update to version 8 until its compatible

It's not going to happen. Google announced withdrawal of their Google Toolbar.
Using Google Toolbar features without toolbars - MozillaZine Knowledge Base
    :http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Google_Toolbar_features_without_toolbars
The Google Toolbar will not be updated for Firefox 5 or later Firefox versions. ([http://googletoolbarhelp.blogspot.com/2011/07/update-on-google-toolbar-for-firefox.html reference]) Google finally decided that their [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions problematic extension] is beyond repair for the little benefit added for Firefox users. Google as with other browsers is eliminating or making toolbars less accessible.
Consider the features that you are using and see if you can match up features from the list created by Google and by Firefox users.

  • When are you going to make Firefox 5 compatible with Google toolbar?

When are you going to make Firefox 5 compatible with the Google Toolbox?

Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.
The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension, I tried it myself due to the large number of postings about GTB problems. <br />

  • I heard iphone 6 bends. Are you going to make another iphone 6 but stronger than before?

A Lot of peole said that the iphone 6 plus and maybe the 6 bends because of the use of putting it in your pocket. So im thinking, are you going to make another iphone 6 that has stronger metal that is going to be fexible or are you going to make it a little thicker so it wont be a problem everyday?

Well unfortunately my iPhone 6 128GB is bending by the volume buttons. Have a Spigen Neo Hybrid case on it and has just been in my pockets whenever I don't use it. I also noticed an LCD hot spot in the middle of the screen. I'm very upset at the fact I'm having this issue..Not to mention I live 2 hours away from the nearest Apple store and for me to drive there just to get a replacement is an inconvenience of time and money...Also at this time most apple stores are out of stock of my device which puts me at an even more upsetting state.

Skype, when are you going to make Online Number available in Russia?

I agree with you - that's why I use Amazon's Kindle and have been using it since it came out. You can read on your Mac, your iPad, your iPhone, your Windows machine, your Android machine, etc.
I've lately even taken to buying music on Amazon versus the iTunes store. But I'll never buy an iBook - I'm sticking with Kindle.

  • Are you going to make a new iphone5

Hi I am waitting for a new iphone5. Are you going to make one. If yes tell me the date

Mine will have a 21" touch screen and will have a telescoping handle on one end and wheels on the other. I figure that should give enough room for a battery that will last about a month. If you're traveling extensively and can't charge it (which should take around 12 hours for a full charge from empty), you can attach an optional car battery or diesel powered generator to the back.

  • HT4526 are apple going to make hearing aids?

are apple going to make hearing aids?

It would seem highly unlikely as it's not their area of business, but you can express your interest to Apple via their feedback pages, if you wish. The iPhone feedback page would be the most likely, I would think:

  • When are Adobe going to make it easier to deploy flash player to the enterprise????

I've been deploying flash player for well over 5 years now and in that time the deployment has only got very marginally better.
Why do they continue to allow installs just to fail when the control is in use??? I've written vbscripts to kill the handle to the ocx activex file, rename the ocx to .old which allows the installax.exe install utility to complete without errors. When Internet explorer next relaunches it uses the new control and the old one can be deleted. Why can't they incorporate this kind of logic into their installs?
Why do Adobe insist on using rubbish exe routines inside msi's that are perfectly capable of installing applications and don't just bomb out at the first sign of a difficulty? Using custom installer routines inside msi's makes it very difficult for people who have more than adequate repackaging and software deployment experience to be able to customise and get around the difficulties that Adobe forces upon us.
When are Adobe going to realise that the way they are releasing updates for flash player is costing companies a lot of money in company's helpdesk and systems team's time spent supporting and troubleshooting their buggy installs? At best I've only experienced a 95% success rate with flash player deployments. Some people might say "what am I complaining about?" and "that's to be expected". This has only been the case with weeks of work to fix the flaws in the flash player install routines. However 5% failure on 4000 machines is 200 possible help desk calls and 200 people not able to use various applications, view web content etc. Before we invested the time in scripting to get around the installer flaws the success rate was closer to 75%, that's 1000 out of 4000 that were failing. Does anyone think that's acceptable considering how widely it's used?
What has Adobe got planned for enabling large businesses to manage the deployment of flash player better? They've done it with other products why can't they do it with flash player?
For software deployment teams this is a constant and ever present headache.
Any Adobe representative want to comment???

It's ridiculous cause most website use Flash Player and none of them work on my LG 650v Smart TV.
Are discussions being held between Adobe and LG? If yes, are they close to a solution? If no, what seems to be the issue?

  • Which "standard" rate will I pay after 1 year, as a student, for the CC complete?

I'm a college student, so I'm interested in the student discount. The terms say that after one year I will be charged the then-standard rate, saying that it's "currently 29.99", but the plans list says that that's the special offer for people who have previously purchased CS3 or higher. The regular standard price is 49.99, which is a lot more. Which one would I be paying in a year, given that I have never purchased a creative suite and technically won't have with this subscription? 30 bucks a month is hell of a lot more attractive than 50 bucks a month.

If you're no longer a student when your contract is renewed in 12 months then you pay the standard rate prevailing at that time (currently $49.99/month).
If you are still a student then you pay the standard student rate (currently $29.99/month).
The promotional $29.99/month discount (first 12 months only) for existing CS3-CS6 customers is a separate offer, not applicable to you.

  • Is it true that Firefox v11 will fully suport Adobe Flash and when are you going to make a mobil version of Thunderbird.

I going purchase an HTC Merge soon and would like to know if Firefox v11 will fully support Adobe Flash and if I decide to use v10 right now would this method work https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-mobile-doesnt-support-flash?e=es&as=aaq if I wanted to watch flash videos on lets say on Vimeo's website also are there any plans for a Mobil version of Thunderbird? I'm a avid user of Thundrbird and would love to have on my Android phone.

Thanks that's what I thought I heard but wanted to make certain that it was true and its also nice to know that FFv10 works on Vimeo one last thing I did make a post about Mobil Thunderbird on the official TB support forums if you or anyone you know also would like to see TB for Mobile Devices go to my post.

By the way I also heard that FFv11 or v12 will have its own speed dial if so will it be like Josep del Rio's speed dial extension by that I mean were its fully customizable for example you could add new groups or decide how many rows/columns you want to have.

  • Ipad phone are they going to make one, can i get one, can they use my idea, if so can i get paid?

    IPHAD ipad thats a phone

Sorry, but it is very unclear what it is you're asking. Can you please clarify?
Taking a guess, if you're asking if Apple will ever make a large-screen iPhone, no one here can say. We're all just fellow users and have no knowledge of what Apple's product plans are. You can use the current iPad with Voice-over-IP services such as Skype to make calls.
I don't know what you mean by "can they use my idea" and "if so can I get paid".
    Regards.
