Are there any developers here who want to work with me?

I have three really good app ideas that can very profitable but I am unskilled in the process of how i would go about creating and putting the actual app together. I would be willing to split the profit depending on how successful and how big it looks to you. Let me know

eastvillager: Sounds great. You haven't had any problems? Is the printer directly connected? Via a network?
I doubt I can get one where I live tomorrow, but with a bit of luck and expanded budget, this may be the solution. I bought the 30 inch cinema display to add another monitor so what is a "few" more dollars? I have heard wonderful things about the ultra chrome inks.
If you don't mind telling me about how you connected (directly versus network) and if you use it for proofing or final output, I may have just resolved my key issue. I can always use an old PC to do B/W laser printing to a workhorse HP laser.
sigh...I was soo redundant too, before the big crash. Oh well, at least I am done building my own machines.
Appreciate the responses. Almost resolved.

  • Are there any QR code reader's that work with the KIN twoM? Any web based appliacations? VZW based?

ANy help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

Well thank you! I just recently learned about them myself  because the company I work for is about to start using them. Many companies are utilizing these now and I bet youll see alot more in the years to come. For example, best buy is actually using these on their price tags. Here, take a look: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=best+buy+qr+code&view=detail&id=07500A4A6E4E35B28119067F5FA2091D12CFCC6D&first=1&FORM=IDFRIR
See the QR on the lower left side? If you scanned that with your phone(or did I what I suggested with the kin), it would lead you to best buys mobile site for the item you are looking at.  With that link,  you can access further information about the product before you purchase it. Like all the specs listed online. So it seems like it could be a very useful tool. Recently bought a copy of Jack@ss 3d and a QR code was on there as well.  I believe that one linked you to some extra scenes or stuff like that.

  • Are there any options (current or future) for working with dynamic forms on the iPad?

We have a few iPads for use in our lab and are trying to utilize them as best we can.  Until now, we've had no luck finding a way to use dynamic forms (specifically and preferably from Adobe LiveCycle) on the iPads.  We use forms as electronic worksheets, and are trying to determine the best avenue to continue down.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I only spent a few seconds searching, but I did find this... https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dynoforms/id689415970?mt=8
I'm sure there are other apps out there as well.

Is there any printers (preferably new) that will work with OS9?

Sorry about above 'pre' font - for some reason it would not let me do a normal post. It should have been as follows:
    I agree.
I use a LaserWriter 16/600 PS plugged into my router via an adaptor.
There are probably many old Color StyleWriters out there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StyleWriter
Some of these had Canon engines and Canon produced their own almost identical versions.

  • Are there any Color Adjustments for Safari?  Printing with Magenta overlays.

Are there any Color Adjustments for Safari?  When printing the iphone at www.apple.com/iphone/compare-iphones/ the phones have a Magenta Overlay on them.  Tried Firefox and Chrome with same computer, plus a PC to the same printer.  All else prints fine.  Have Intel based iMac, updated to 10.7.5, and using Safari 6.0.1.  I called Canon, and they said it is an issue with Safari.  Any Solutions?  Any way of replacing Safari?  (Recently updated to Lion via software downloads.  No disc.)

If you're browsing the web and you're internet connection is slow or sometimes dropping, it is normal for Safari to hang or freeze for a little bit until it connects to the site you're trying to view or visit.
Try this - go to system preferences - network - advance - dns and change your dns server.

  • Are there ANY memos/notes apps that will sync with Mac, NOT "cloud"?

In desperation I got BlueMarbleSOftware.com's "Memos" app to move memos from my now defunct Palm to my iPhone. I then discover that "Memos" can't create a new category on the iPhone. Grr. It also uses a Google Files account to move them. I keep sensitive information in my memos and I'm NOT going to put that out in the "Cloud". So, this isn't working out well.
    My question:
Is there ANY iPhone/OS X application pair out there that will allow me to sync my notes/memos to my Mac and not to the Cloud? iTunes is a pretty poor sync mechanism since it can only allow me access to iTunes type stuff. iCal, while not very good, at least syncs with the calendar on the iPhone and contacts also sync with OSX. However, nothing that I can find will sync notes with the Mac directly. Has anyone out there found something that will? I'm happy to pay for it if it DOESN'T go through the "Cloud".
I love my iPhone's capabilities, but Apple's restrictions on its use are dimming my enthusiasm a bit about the iPhone being a killer "do everything" box.
    Thanks,

This sounds ideal - My read of it wasn't perfectly clear - Does it sync through the USB cable that the Apple sync uses or though a wireless connection? How good is the Mark/Space notes app? Apple's notes doesn't allow grouping by category, everything goes into one place, is the M/S notes app better than that?
    Thanks! This is looking perfect!

  • Are there any drivers to use NI PCI-1411 with programs other than Labview?

I'd like to use my NI PCI-1411 capture card to capture images and/or videos outside Labview. Are there drivers available somewhere? E.g. TWAIN drivers?

I am not aware of any drivers other than IMAQ, but the IMAQ drivers do include a C library along with the LabVIEW version. I would take a good look at what is available in the IMAQ drivers. They may have what you need.

  • Are there any Windows Media Rights V7 technology work-around conversions?

I realize that Microsucks has retired their support for the Mac version of Windows Media Player, but there are times that it comes in handy when viewing protected files from PCers I work with. I've tried VLC and other converters and they have worked on certain file types, but as time moves on, so does the weired file types avaliable. Presently I'm dealing with a movie file that has a .php extention and I get this...
In order to play this file, you need to upgrade your media player to a version compatible with Windows Media Rights Manager V7. Select View Compatible Players below to see a list of compatible media players.
If your current media player does not have a Windows Media Rights Manager V7 compatible version, you should select a different player with the Windows Media Rights Manager V7 identifier.
    View compatible players
The player choices are WMP or the Flip4Mac component for QT. Neither work for this file type. Has anyone gotten around this Windoze-Way-To-Pry-More-Money-Out-Of-Our-Pockets???

Only Windows versions are compatible. You can't play these on a Mac.

  • Time Machine - is there any way to allow it to work with the MacBook Air 2011 lid closed?

When the Air sleeps, Time Machine stops (although it does pick up immediately after the machine wakes).  I had been leaving it on overnight, but Applecare techs tell me there's no need for that, as there are no utilities running at night, contrary to what I'd seen elsewhere.
The risk is that I'll miss the last backup. Is there any way around the problem, other than calling a manual backup and waiting for it?
    This is Lion.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't precise enough. I'm concerned about this (remotely likely) situation:
10:15 p.m., TM backs up, next backup scheduled for 11:15 p.m.
11:10, I put the machine to sleep for the night. Previous backup 55 minutes ago, numerous files changed or added during that time.
7:30 a.m. next day, SSD crashes during wakeup. The last 55 minutes of operation have not been saved to the USB hard drive.
Is there an automatic way to avoid that gap in the backup?

  • TS4123 Is there any way to modify Bonjour to work with other LSP?

I'm having the problem pointed here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123 and the cause is a proxy software I use. It's a program I use every day and I cannot just disable it, is there any workaround to this? Any way to fix Bonjour instead? I really don't see why other companies must adapt their software to be compatible with iTunes and not the other way around.

Not at present. It is built to use the frameworks of OS X.
You could have both running on an Intel-based Mac with Parallels Desktop virtualization, but I don't think that's what you're looking for. Would you consider switching to OS X completely?

I've just used Facetime for the first time and it worked like a dream. Is there any way Facetime can be used to phone someone with a PC using

No, FaceTime uses a proprietary communications protocol that is incapatable with Windows.

  • Is there any enterprise class PHP framework that works with Oracle ?

    Hi everyone,
I am investigating the possibility of using some kind of PHP framework that will help develop enterprise class web applications. -- something similar to Oracle's ADF for Java --
I have spend the last two weeks working with symfony which appears to be very attractive but does now work with Oracle. (Well at least I haven't been able to make it work).
So my question is what are you people using? I mean you can't go around witting PHP scripts that display HTML tables with embedded echo's in them, each time you want to display the results of a query...
    Thanks in advance
    Thanassis

There is Cake, but I have no experience. I wrote an article about Symfony, after I was tasked with maintaining a PHP application written with Symfony. A colleague has left the company and the application was given to me. Since then, I have left the company, so I am no longer in such close contact to PHP frameworks. The information about Cake can be found at http://cakephp.org. I have no experience whatsoever with it.

  • Are there any Beta users who didn't need to create a new library in 1.0?

I know that I had to. A whole lot of flakiness disappeared when I did. I did the usual thing of exporting the Beta 4.1 XMP metadata and then re-importing all my files to a brand new native 1.0 library. Since then, I've had _no_ sorting problems and no need to close and open the application to clear up "!" icons and out of memory errors.
If the general user experience matches mine, perhaps Sid should put an entry in his FAQ that encourages people to rebuild their libraries rather than relying on the Adobe-supplied conversion.
    Cheers,
    Hal

Marschant, you don't mention if your files are RAW or JPEG or...
If the edits weren't in the XMP then I'm guessing more like the latter. For me the workaround for this was to export all the processed pictures with an "LR" suffix; not ideal I know because the "recipe" is lost, but at least you still get the "pie".
So far I've been converting my (multiple small) libraries but there is one that Beta 4.1 absolutely tangled, which was a shame as it had a lot of time put into it; however yesterday I managed to get a lot of XMP files out of it so I'm optimistic I can start again in 1.0 with a fresh database.
Before I uninstalled 4.1 I took as many XMPs as I could out of all the databases, which was occasionally painful. I had intended to re-import all my files into new, much more organised v1.0 databases; at least at the moment I still have that option.
