Are there restrictions on the number of files i can work on trial version of elements 13

i am currently using the trial version of pe13 and have been editing and saving  images - after about 10 images (all saved 2-8MB) the file sizes have shrunk to less than 1MB even though the edits and stuff i am doing to the images is exactly the same - what's going on as i want to print these images, please help!?

No, no restrictions with the trial version other than you cannot use it beyond the 30 day free trial period without buying it.

  • Add Folder - is there a limit to the number of files you can add in one go?

I have a fairly large collection (60GB+) of 192kbps mp3 files which are stored under My Music in a folder structure of Artists / Album, e.g. "My Music \ ACDC \ Back in Black\ Hells Bells.mp3"
I recently bought an ipod and having installed itunes I wanted to add all my music. I figured out that the way to do this is to go File / Add Folder and select the "My Music" folder.
However, itunes starts adding the mp3s and stops at the Bruce Springsteen folder. At this point the itunes library can see all the "A" folders and the "Bs" up to and including Bruce Springsteen. If I try the process again nothing happens.
However, if I then try to add a specific folder e.g. "My Music \ Charlatans" it works.
This suggests to me that the Add Folder option has a limit to the number of files it can process.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated as I'm not looking forward to manually adding a hundred or so folders.

Well the part about putting songs in the "iTUnes Music" folder I only brought up because it seemed you liked things very organized. You could use iTunes to so all the organizeing. Plus once you add something to the iTUnes library, if you change ANYTHING about it in windows explorer, like its name, change the name of the folder its in or move it to another folder, iTUnes "Looses Track" of it. Its not like other programs that "Watch" files and folders for changes outside its "iTUnes Music" folder
But to have iTUnes auto search, you have to delete a hidden pref file. After doing this, when you open iTUnes again it will throw up a setup wizard, just like its the first time ever installing it. Its in this wizard where you get your ONLY chance to have iTUnes auto search and add files from the system. Just goto the link below and follow Scott P's steps

  • Is there a limit to the number of files one can store in a folder?

Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of files that can be stored in a folder? Or, is there a best-practice recommendation about this?

I wonder how one would find a group of files within that folder of 2.1 billion < very slowly <

  • Limit to number of files that can be moved or copied?

I'm trying to move the contents of the "previous systems" folder (from my update to Leopard) to an external harddrive, but when I drag and drop the file name it starts the process but stays at "preparing to copy 16,850 items." It's still on that message in the dialogue box with the barber pole over an hour later.
My question is: Is there a limit to the number of files that can be moved/copied at one time? Or does it just take a very long time?
    Thanks for any help.

Thanks, Katy. I left it up all night and it was in the same place in the morning, so I'm assuming it isn't going to go what I need done in one fell swoop. I had to relaunch Finder before the dialogue box would go away.
Moving all those files will have to wait, I guess, until I have enough time to break them into manageable chunks.

How do I delete excess email messages from my iPhone.  There are 300 messages listed, and every time I delete some, more are added from old messages.  How do I limit the number of messages that can appear on my phone?  How can I delete messages in bulk,

    You can't.
All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the Photo Library. The photos in the album or albums below are not duplicates - they include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. This way you can view the photos in a particular album only by selecting the album, or you can view all photos available in all albums by selecting Photo Library.
Just as with an iTunes playlist. A song cannot be in an iTunes playlist unless the song is in the main iTunes library. Placing a song in a playlist does not duplicate the song. Remove the main iTunes library or the songs from the main iTunes library that are in a playlist and the songs will no longer be in the playlist either. This way you can listen to the songs in the playlist only by selecting the playlist, or all songs in your entire iTunes library by selecting Music under Library in the iTunes source list.
The same with iPhoto on a Mac. A photo cannot be in an in iPhoto Event or Album unless the photo is in the main iPhoto library. Placing a photo in an Event or Album does not duplicate the photo. This way you can view the photos in an iPhoto Event or Album only by selecting the Event or Album, or all photos in all Events or Albums.

  • Limiting the number of files being picked up by the sender file adapter

We are running a file adapter to collect xml files from a legacy system in a shared network location.  The files are picked up, information is sorted and mapped, and then sent to a proxy on our CRM system to store the data.  Very simple and not-complex.
Our initial data load will consist of somewhere in the neighborhood of 900k records, which is killing CRM.
A co-worker with a bit more experience was telling me that he believes there is a way to limit the number of files that will be pulled per iteration of the file communication channel.  If this is the case, can someone share with me the parameters that need to be set?
My apologies if this is a duplicate post - I have tried to look for a good answer in the forums and have come up empty.
We are running PI 7.1, and I believe it is SP 6.
Thanks in advance for the help,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
There is no standard way to limit the number of files to be processed by the communication channel.
On the Sender File CC, there is a parameter " Maximum File Size" which restricts the files bigger than the specific size, but this is just a prevention not a solution.
If you have a single big size file, then somehow you have to create small sized files out of it.

  • Is there a limit to number of File items loaded to a single portal page?

    Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of File items that can be loaded to one single portal (10.1.4) content page?
    thanks,
    Bret

    Hi Arnaud,
Don't recall that we ever investigated a threshold value where portal was not performing anymore. It also depends on other circumstances as well :
    - what kind of caching is used on the page, i.e. pages cached on system level for a period of 24 hours will generally perform well, even if they have a large number of file items. The performance penalty is paid by the person who needs to generate the page from the back-end database.
    - Are all files in a single region or are they divided over several regions. I seem to recall that we use a fetcher thread for each region.
    My advice :
Built a prototype, add file items to a page and start load tests. This will allow you to determine how many files can be added to a page without an unacceptable loss of performance.
    Regards,
    Erik

  • Why does OS X Finder recognize a folder as a file when it counts the number of files?

When I select a folder in Finder and click cmd+i(or cmd+option+i), it shows the number of files in the folder. However, that number is weird for me, because they count a folder itself as a file. For example, when I have a single file in my Download folder and I clicked cmd+i on Download folder, then the number of files in a inspection window is 2, not 1. It is because that number includes not only the file inside the folder, but also the folder itself. (Check the below image)
This is not a big problem if there is no hierarchical structure in my folder. But, if I have thousands of files and folders inside, it is really hard to figure out how many files(not folders) are inside. I cannot understand why Mac OS X counts a folder as a file. In fact, a folder is not an actual file, just a container.
So, is there any philosophy to do like this? Or is there any way to count only the number of actual files?

    Sorry byron1st
there is no way to count only files in a folder.
Finder will count everything inside, folders and files.
Information about a folder will count the same.
If there are no subsubfolders in one folder, maybe a little trick can help:
Select list view for the open folder, close all subfolders.
Type command+# to see the footer of the window, that counts (hopefully) only the closed subfolders (content) in the open folder.
    Remember the amount.
Hold option and click on one triangle in front of one subfolder. All subfolders will be opened!
The difference between amount a and amount b is the number of files (and subsubfolders, if unfortunately inside…).

  • Is there a limit to the number of songs i can import into I-Tunes?

    Hi,
No Problem really, i would just like to know if I-Tunes has anyy limits concerning the number of songs it can handle.
    Thanks
    DC

You need to look into your antivirus utility. Disable it temporarily and see if the speed picks up. If it does, then you know it's the antivirus utility that's causing the problem. Normally such a utility will only examine a file when the file is first added except when the utility does a full scan, but if yours is misset - perhaps it's doing full scans on a frequent basis - it might be being overzealous. Or it's just a bad utility; there are some such.

  • Where to find the number of files in a folder (in Finder)?

I just upgraded from Snow Leopard.
In the past I could look at the bottom of the finder window and see how many files where in a particular folder.  And how much megawattage they respresented in total.
Is there some kind of preference I can set in Mountain Lion to be able to see the 'number' of files in a given folder?
    All ears,
    Ben

    Thank you Kurt,
    You're an ace.
    Much appreciated.

  • How to get the number of files currently open?

    hi,
does any one know how to get the number of files currently open in windows OS?
    e.g. lets say .txt files...
any comment will be really appreciated.
    thanks

Assuming that you don't want to actually do this from within Java code (which would obviously require native code), here's a utility that will give you a list of which file handles are opened by which processes (on Windows):
