Are there two clocks in the iMac?

I have a 3.06 Ghz iMac which is giving me a little problem. It's clock displays the right time, but certain programs seem to think that they are running 4 hours in the future. Mail will say that emails were received 4 hours in the future, and I can't watch live streaming videos because the time is off in Safari.

Have you tried changing your background image ? It looks to me like your current background includes the time on it (it looks like it might have been a screenshot from somewhere taken at 11:45), so what you are seeing is the actual time overlaid onto the time that is part of your image - the top part of the first image in your post includes :

there are two icons , one says WEB and the other SERVICES. the look of the screen and the navigation system look to be different.

there is another difference.... the S60 browser is much faster for scrolling to the bottom of the page, skipping over the lines of text; the mobile browser tends to be slower when doing that .

1. The forums only seem to list who opened the original question, not who last posted. To keep track of my own replies, I need to see who last posted. How to do this? (It used to be there before they redesigned).

There is a missing column. Was four columns ( ??? ) now only three. They reduced the lettering size to get more information on the line. I guess you could say they are listening, but can get over that they are wrong about the layout.

Here is my ASC work flow...
1) I login.
2) Block the automatic 30 minute logout.
     Unless you do something every thirty minutes you get logged out. The forum software waits to tell you this as long as it can to keep you in suspense ;-) . Filling out a reply is the exception to the thirty minute window.

You need to pick a page that will reload over time without stalling out. It's ASC. I've found my profile display the best to use. I get my Profile page after some logins. It's ASC. Change rccharles to your apple id.

Reply technique
Open a new browser window. Pick some discussion. Open a reply window. As long as this reply window is open, you will stay logged in. The 30 minute times is reset as needed by the ASC software.
3) I open another window to do my normal ASC browsing.
4) I have a FireFox bookmark to goto the discussions that I have participated in. I've modified it to add on the content stuff.

7) Read and answer my old posts. I kind of memorize the time I last posted. ( It's way bad that apple eliminated the last poster to a thread. )
8) I use tabbed browsering. From a list of discussions, hold down the command key then click on the link. You get two tabs this way. The original window will keep where you have been.

System fan error on g62-352ca on startup. are there two fans ie a cpu fan and a system fan?

I get a system fan error on power up? Are there two fans in the G52-352CA? Ie a general system fan and a CPU cooling fan or just the one CPU/heatsink fan?
If it is the CPU/heatsink fan then there are 4 part numbers for different options. Is there some way to tell from the model number or features as to which is needed. I would prefer to have the part in hand before opening everything up. Are there better fans to buy and if so how do I find them? This unit was always running a little on the warm/hot side,

From that information, it makes sense that your calendar is off.
Phoenix is in another time zone part of the year. When daylight saving changed, Salt Lake City and Denver changed, but Phoenix did not. You may have set time and date to auto, but the Mac knows the time difference and is compensating for it.

You can set times for your computer to turn on or wake from sleep in the Energy Saver system preference pane using the Schedule... button.

First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...

I have two users on the IMac, and I resolve the problem by clearing all cookies on both users Safari, opening and closing the App Store for each user, shutting down and restarting the IMac for each user, until finally the download works. There must be an easier way. I also have an Air, where I have no problems whatsoever. Both machines have Doorstop and MacKeeper with the same settings, so I have ruled those programs out as the cause. I believe iot is because I have two users - any ideas?

Please read this whole message and be sure you understand all of it before doing anything. Back up all data before making changes to your settings.
Write down the server addresses.
Click Cancel to close the Advanced sheet. Unlock the preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Open the DNS tab again and change the server addresses to the following:

That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.

Some features like FaceTime (prohibited in some middle eastern countries, lower volume limit is EU countries) is controlled by a unique identifier on the iPod based on where the iPod was officially sold, I would avoid getting one officially sold in a middle eastern country. A non-EU one would also be better too

It may (likely) be a video card issue. There is a "known issue" with certain iMacs made in a certain timeframe (2011-12 I think), and one of the telltale symptoms is vertical lines showing up on your display. Go to Apple's website (https://getsupport.apple.com/) to find out how to get support, then either call their service line (they usually pick right up) or take it into your nearest store's Genius Bar. They'll first check if your iMac's serial number is on the list of vulnerable machines, and then they'll have to do a diagnostic to prove that's the problem -- if your serial number's on the list and it fails the diagnostic, they'll replace the video card for free, even if you're not covered by AppleCare (and if you are, it's free regardless).
My iMac just had this problem, there were lines sometimes and just weird display issues other times. Eventually it just grayed out altogether and I couldn't use it. So it's likely your display problems will worsen if you don't get it looked at.
It took them about a week to ship the new video card over, install it, and return the iMac to me.

This forum, (the java developers forums) pre-date javadesktop.org, and as can be seen by the total thread count (5000+ threads vs 64 topics) has a lot more activity on the yopic of Java Web Start.
Javadesktop.org was created in 2003, and since it has much overlap with generic java development they also created a thread in their forum for Java Web Start.
