I ask because I have a Blackberry 9530 which is basically good for only talk and text. Web speeds are very slow sometimes unuseable. I'm looking to upgrade to a newer smartphone and the iPhone 4 I know would be a good option since I do a lot in Itunes. However I'm thinking I should wait for the 4G LTE iPhone 5 to come out.
However again, if users are generally happy with the speeds of the 3G network, maybe I should go ahead and get one.

The web browsing experience on blackberry is about 100x worse than the webkit based browsers on phones running iOS, Android and WebOS. Even on 3G, you'll notice a significant difference in daily browsing between the iPhone and the Storm.

You won't receive a notification, but if the iPhone is signed into the same iCloud account as the iPod, you can go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage. Here you will see the iPod Backup listed under Backups if it has one. You can tap the iPod and it will tell you when the last backup was completed.

I want to withdraw this question as it unfairly associates many problems with this one company and application. The problems are not just related to this software. I apologize to Intego if this appeared accusatory.
I have since found answers to all of the questions posed for the iPhone 3.0 update. Only one was related to Intego and its firewall.

My iPhone 4 no longer syncs with iTunes 11 - "your iPhone disconnected"

Since I upgraded, I really struggle to sync my iPhone on my iMac running Mountain Lion (fully up to date) by USB.
It keeps saying that the iPhone disconnected.
I have tried different cables and I have restarted iTunes and the iPhone. It works once or twice after a reboot.
Anything else I can try please?

One thing that could cause this error message is corrupted data on the iphone or computer. Close itunes and disconnect the iphone.
Now open isync in the applications folder.
Once isync is open, open the isync preferences.
Click the button to reset sync history.
Once sync history is reset, quit isync and open itunes.
Open the itunes preferences and go to the syncing tab.
Check the box to disable automatic syncing for all ipods and iphones.
Connect the iphone and go to the info tab.
Go to the bottom of the info tab and check the box to replace all contact data on the iphone with what is in the computer.
Now click apply on the bottom right corner of itunes. If this does not work, open address book and create a new group.
Add 5 - 10 contacts to that group.
Now go into itunes with the iphone connected and set the iphone to only sync to that particular group.
if the iphone syncs ok, add some more contacts and sync again.
If the iphone does not sync, remove some of the contacts and sync again.
Keep going through this process until you narrow down which contacts are causing the problem. Hope this helps.

Alright, here is how you get album art work onto your iPod. If you bought the song on iTunes, you will already have the artwork there. If you imported the song/CD chances are the artwork won't show up. If ANY album artwork shows up on iTunes, but not your iPod what you need to do is(this is how I got my artwork): 1. Open iTunes, your internet service and your computers photo editor program; 2. Type in the name of the artist, THEN the album on Google Image Search; 3. Good lord, Man! That's the long way around the block.
Highlight all the songs in the album. Right-click and select GET INFO.
Click on the album art in your web browser and drag it to the little box for Album Art in the Get Info dialog.
On rare occations I find Drag and Drop doesn't want to work - right click on the image in your web browser and select COPY - the PASTE in to the box in the GET INFO dialog.

if i have family sharing on and I have set up a album for my pictures and if I take a picture on my iphone will that picture automatically saved in the album I set up? or what I'm really trying to say is with when I take photos from one iphone can I make it so the photos save into an album easily? rather than the pictures go to the recently added? No, there isn't. But you can restore your stuff if you have a current backup to restore. Otherwise, you are S.O.L.

What happens with iTunes and your iPhone when you change computers ?

I'm thinking of getting a new computer. I got an iPhone 3GS and I love it. However I was wondering. If I buy a new computer will it be able to let me use my iPhone on iTunes like I did in the past. I know I'll have to transfer my iTunes Library etc.
My question to explain my concern simply is: let's say I keep my iPhone for the next ten years, if each year I get a new computer and throw away the old one, will I be able each time to use it with my new computer ?
Or does it have some sort of link with the PC like Win XP's licence where if you change the motherboard Microsoft won't let you reactivate Windows as it considers it's another PC (with OEM licences).
Sorry for the dumb question but I couldn't find any infos on that.

Move everything that you want to keep to the new computer ( pics,docs, contacts, calendars, etc.).

What 5 computer thingy? You can authorize up to five computers to play itunes protected music purchases ( pre-itunes plus). This has nothing to do with ipod/iphones. When you finish moving everything from the old computer to the new, just de-authorize the old one.
When you sync to another computer, it will erase the content from the iphone and replace with content from the new computer. This is why you need to move everything to the new computer first.

Has anyone had issues with texting between your iPhone and your iPad 2?

If I send a text message from my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4 to someone it sometimes creates two different text feeds in my friend's phone. So it shows two different text "groups" in their iPhone. If they reply on one of them I don't get the messages. Any ideas?

Check to make sure you have the Recieve At going to the same email address on both devices. Settings > Messages > Receive At

Anybody having any trouble with hotmail on your iphone?

Up until yesterday, hotmail was working fine on my iphone4s. After that i cant delete any messages or refresh the screen. I can select messages, but i cant delete them. Anybody have any answers? By the way, hotmail is working fine on my ipad.

If you have two-step verification turned on, you are going to have to use a mobile password as shown in Hotmail's setup instructions, or turn it off altogether.

While updating my iphone 4s to ios6, I had to restore it. Now every time I connect to itunes, I get the "Set Up Your iPhone" window with the set up as new iphone and restore from backup options. After the restore, I got everything except my apps back.

It sounds like you are connected to the internet otherwise, but iTunes is giving you this error message when trying to get info from the Gracenote database to retrieve your album info. I had a couple of articles I wanted to recommend you try. First this one named:

Hi - you can do what you want to do with AirPlay from your iPhone - but unfortunately it is not as easy as the people in the Apple store told you - your first problem is that you have a non Apple router - you cannot extend a non Apple router wirelessly with the Express - you can only join the network and connect an ethernet device to it - you can however connect via ethernet and have it create a wireless network of its' own - you can set this up from your iPhone or the XP - but this is a complicated setup and would involve many different discussion areas of this forum - therefore I would suggest that you use your 90 days of support and consult directly with Apple to do this - go to this link - http://www.apple.com/support/contact/

That is a new feature described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support
You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and changing "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off.
