"argument number too large" in OEM import export app

Hi everybody,
I am a beginer with Oracle 9i and I am facing a strange error message when I try to import/export data from OEM connecter to my Oracle Enterprise Manager server.
The user loged in is the SYSMAN user.
When I launch the Import or Export applet on the selected database, Oracle send me the folowing message :
(sorry for my french to english translation)
"The following error occurs when you attemps to connect to the database with the login parameters
argument number too large at"
My Oracle 9i is installed on a clean test platform : NT4server + SP6 french version, dual proc and 512 Mb RAM.
Can somebody help me ? I am unable to import/export data with the GUI.
Thank you.
Frangois.

To view your folio on your iPad you have two choices:
1 - If you built your folio offline on your local machine, choose the upload option from the Folio Builder fly out menu. All folios that were built online and any you uploaded are available for you to download when you log into ACV on your iPad.
2 - This is a MAC only option. Plug your iPad into your computer via the USB cable. With the iPad turned on and ACV opened you will see a Preview on [iPad Name] from the preview menu in folio builder.
I tested both of the supplied files after publishing them for the web from Edge and placing the html files in a web overlay. I previewed on both the desktop viewer and my iPad. Both worked as expected on the iPad. The Jams worked in a desktop preview but your logo just showed a red box. The white background is removed by selecting the transparent background option in the Overlay panel.
As Bob said, the desktop previewer is not 100% reliable. It is used for quick, down and dirty checking. It's always pest to preview on a device if something does not work as expected.
If it helps, I will share my test folio with you. Message me you email address.

  • Upon "export media", CS4 tries and fails to load import/export apps

Now that I've reinstalled CS4 PPro over the trial version-turned-purchased-version of Premiere Pro (that dumb, known Adobe defect where CODECs other than DV are missing on the web purchased version), everything is working well except - when I go to export a sequence to Media Encoder, it says that it must reinstall first the exporter app, it fails on that, then it tries to reinstall the importer app and fails at that too, at which time it opens Media Encoder and seems to perform fine.
Why those obnoxious and very time consuming attempts to reinstall the importer/exporter apps?  Any solution?
    Thanks!
            Jim

Yes, but you will not like it.
Uninstall everuthing Adobe, run the Cleanscript 2 or 3 times, then reinstall. Your problem is caused by not uninstalling the trial completely before installing the full version.

If you want help you’ll need to give us more information. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • Import/Export App Overwrite Timing Out

We are about to begin testing an application we've created, and need a testing environment. I have been able to successfully export an application from one server and import it to HTML DB on another, but every time I get to the screen (on the new server) where it asks me to confirm that I want to replace the already existing application, I hit the button to confirm, I wait forever as the blue bar creeps across the status bar of my browser, then I get a "Page Cannot be Displayed" error, like it's timing out or something.
When I go back, the application appears to have installed normally and seems to work, but I am worried that because of what seemed to be the installation timing out, that there may be things that didn't quite transfer. Is this a valid concern, or should I assume that everything transferred normally?

    Murali,
The process is actually pretty simple. In our case we had two servers, both w/ HTML DB installed. The way it basically works is that you go into the application you want to export, and you click the Export/Import link on the page. You will be taken through a simple step-by-step process by which you will ultimately just save the application somewhere as a .sql file. You will then go into HTML DB on the server where you would like the copied application to be, and click the same link, and go through a similar step-by-step process to import the application by browsing for it where it was saved when you exported it.
    A few suggestions:
Any tables that are associated with the application will need to be recreated in your new environment. A simple way to do this is to use:
    CREATE TABLE table_name AS (
    SELECT * FROM table_name@oldserver
for each of your tables, if there are only a few. If it is larger, you may just want to copy the entire schema over to the new server, which is what we ended up having to do. But our DBA did that, so I'm not as familiar w/ that process.
However, if the tables have sequences associated with them they will need to be recreated on the new server as well, unless there is a way to copy them along w/ the table all at once, but as I said, we are not as familiar w/ that actual process. (You can find information on how to recreate the sequences here: https://cwisdb.cc.kuleuven.ac.be/ora10doc/server.101/b10759/statements_9001.htm)
Of course you can simply truncate the tables if you don't want any of you previous data on your new tables.
Another thing we noticed when we imported a new application, is that when a Named LOV was used in a column of an updatable report, it didn't transfer over, so we had to go back to that select list and reset it as that particular Named LOV.
One thing you will want to be careful for if you're planning on importing/exporting applications frequently, for new versions and releases, is to make sure you don't hardcode any schema names in with your SQL in the application. This caused us some headaches because when we would import the new application, the new schema on which the tables existed was not the same as the one from the old app, and we kept getting errors until we went back and deleted every instance of the schema name in the SQL.
There may very well be better and more efficient ways to do these things than how I have suggested, but these are methods we used and we have been successful so far.
    Hope this helps.

  • File too large error unpacking War during app deploy - RHEL &WLS 10.3.5

I'm stumped and I'm hoping someone can help out here. Does anyone have any insights into the cause of my problem below, or tips on how to diagnose the cause?
    scenario
We ran into an open files limit issue on our RH Linux servers, and had the SA boost the our open files limit fro 1024 to 3096. This seems to have solved the open files limit issue, once we restarted the node managers and the managed servers (our WLS startup script sets the soft limit to the hard limit).
But now we've got a new issue, right after this change. The admin server is now no longer able to deploy and war/ear, as when I click on "Activate" after the install I get
Message icon - Error An error occurred during activation of changes, please see the log for details.
Message icon - Error Failed to load webapp: 'TemplateManagerAdmin-1.0-SNAPSHOT.war'
Message icon - Error File too large
on the console, and see the stack trace below in the Admin server log (nothing in the managed server logs) - indicating it's getting the error in exploding the war.
I've tried both default deployment mode, and the mode "will make the deployment available in the following location" where the war is manually copied to the same location on each box, available to each server - all with the same result. I've also tried restarting the admin server, but no luck.
The files are not overly large (<=34 MByte) and we had no trouble with them before today. I'm able to log in as the WebLogic user and copye files, etc. with no problem.
There is no disk space issue - plenty of space left on all of our filesystems. There is, as far as I can tell, no OS or user file size limit issue:

In the end, the problem was not in the Admin server where the log entry is, but in one of the managed servers where there was no such log entry.
Somehow, and we have no idea how, the NodeManager process had the soft limit for max file size set to 2k blocks. Thus, the managed server inherited that. We restarted the Node Manager, then the managed server, and the problem went away.
The diagnostic that turned the trick:
    cat /proc/<pid>/limits
for the managed server showed the bad limit setting, then diagnosis proceeded from there. The admin server, of course, had "unlimited" since it was not the source of the problem.

  • Query Error Information: Result set is too large; data retrieval ......

    Hi Experts,
I got one problem with my query information. when Im executing my report and drill my info in my navigation panel, Instead of a table with values the message "Result set is too large; data retrieval restricted by configuration" appears. I already applied "Note 1127156 - Safety belt: Result set is too large". I imported Support Package 13 for SAP NetWeaver 7. 0 BI Java (BIIBC13_0.SCA / BIBASES13_0.SCA / BIWEBAPP13_0.SCA) and executed the program SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN (in transaction SE38), with the object and the value like Note 1127156 says... but the problem still appears....
what Should I be missing ??????  How can I fix this issue ????
Thank you very much for helping me out..... (Any help would be rewarded)

You may ask your basis guy to increase ESM buffer (rsdb/esm/buffersize_kb). Did you check the systems memory?
Did you try to check the error dump using ST22 - Runtime error analysis?

  • "integer too large" error for a long assignment

I get a compiler error trying to directly assign the value 2 to the 32nd power (4294967296) to a long as shown in "CASE 1". Note that I can indirectly assign this value to a long as shown in "CASE 2" below.
    CASE 1:
    public class Test
public static void main (String[] args)
    long testValue = 4294967296;
    //long testValue = (Long.MAX_VALUE + 1) / (Integer.MAX_VALUE + 1);
    System.out.println (testValue);
    compiler result:
Test.java:5: integer number too large: 4294967296
    long testValue = 4294967296;
    ^
    1 error
    print out when run:
    none (doesn't compile)
    CASE 2:
    public class Test
public static void main (String[] args)
    //long testValue = 4294967296;
    long testValue = (Long.MAX_VALUE + 1) / (Integer.MAX_VALUE + 1);
    System.out.println (testValue);
    compiler result:
    no errors
    print out when run:
    4294967296
I tried placing a 'L' after "4294967296" in "CASE 1:", but the compiler error remains. It pretty much doesn't seem to allow any value greater than Integer.MAX_VALUE to be directly assigned to a long. Compiler error? Anyone else seen this?

I think you'll need to re-try this. I just used your case one and got the error you did. I added an 'L' to the end of the integer literal and it compiled and ran, producing the expected output. You need the L (upper or lower case, but lower looks too much like a one) because by default an integral literal is a 32-bit value.

  • Why can't I import anything? "File video dimensions (width/height) too large"

New to PP CS4 here (that will be obvious momentarily...).  I can't seem to import any footage into any project (well, at least none of the bits I've tried, and I don't think there's anything 'wrong' with them).  Every time I attempt to do so, I get the error:
    Dialog title: File Import Failure
Error Message: File video dimensions (width/height) too large.
This occurs with every files I've thrown at it - admittedly, they all have a lot in common, but they're not particularly exotic.
The files are (mostly) AVI files (I know, I know...before I get jumped, I understand it's just a wrapper, etc.). The files come from two cameras:
    1. A Sony DCR-TRV20. Opening up the AVI in QuickTime Player, I see it's listed as "DV/DVCPRO - NTSC 640X480"
    2. Canon PowerShot A620. Opening up the AVI in QuickTime Player, I see it's listed as "MotionJPEG OpenDML 320x240"
    3. I somehow managed to get the AME to spit out a FLV file. That failed to import with the same error message, too.
I tried running these files through AME, and got the same results (although never having used AME previously, I have a question on that, below).
New project, settings are all (I think) the defaults: Preset DV-NTSC/Standard 32kHz
New installation of PP CS4, with the 4.1 update, on a PC running Vista 32 with all the endless MS updates applied.
Related question: I've skimmed other threads here, and noted the advice to "always convert any non-standard footage to DV-AVI Type II" before importing....however, I see no such option for that output format in AME....only generic things like "Microsoft AVI" and "Uncompressed Microsoft AVI".
Codec issues?  I'm a little skeptical, since these AVI files play just fine in Windows if I double-click them. Does that not suggest that there's a codec there for them?  The files are from (what I believe to be) garden-variety consumer cameras (these devices are a bit old and certainly not high-end, but they're hardly exotic formats, I think). The files are small, short clips I'm attempting to use just to learn Premiere, but it gags on every one of them, every time.
PP is so insistent that every file I throw at it has improper dimensions, but these files appear to be perfectly reasonably sized, and I assume it's operator error (I'm withholding judgement on the quality and accuracy of the error string it's presenting me).  But I'm not sure where to look for the right knob to twist.  Pretty frustrating to be stuck on Square 1 (actually, Square Zero).
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Please be gentle, it's my first time....

    Thanks, but....mmmm....maybe not.
I've tried multiple settings for New Projects. Just created a new one using the preset for DV-NTSC/Widecsreen 48kHz (frame size 720 x 480, 48 kHz audio).  Exactly the same results.
You say "To point you in a certain direction, DV from a TRV is 720x480, not 640x480."  However, according to QuickTime's Movie Inspector panel, the file is 640x480.  This clip was captured through Premiere - that wouldn't change its aspect ratio, would it?
The files from the Canon still camera are AVI files, not still images (so I don't see how the reference to Photoshop applies, or perhaps I misunderstood your point). They are 320x240, according to QuickTime's Movie Inspector panel. If they're 320x240, wouldn't that be the same aspect ratio as 640x480?  Attempting to import them, I get the same error....
While not exactly Hollywood quality, I just need files to play with as I attempt to learn the program, and it's not clear to me why these files should not work - other than the fact that NO files seem to work. Also, I'm not sure what your reference to "exporting" pertains to - I can't get anything imported, I'm not trying to export anything that (I'm aware of) - I'll worry about exporting once I've managed to get something, ANYTHING to import.
I've got some PP training videos (from "you-probably-know-who.com"). Following along using their project files and their video assets (MOV files in this case), I still get the exact same error.
So to summarize, so far, I've seen no evidence that this copy of PP can import ANY video file.
While I'm sure I would benefit from spending more time with the fine manual, I think there's something wrong here that's not going to be addressed in the introductory documentation.  If I can't import any footage into any project, progress is going to be slow.
How about this: is there some known-to-be-good test file I can grab and try importing that?  I've got very strong suspicions that I'll get the same error message.
    Thanks again.

    Hi please check this,
    Select * from dba_objects where object_name = 'DBMS_STANDARD';
The standard package may be invalid.
reran catproc.sql This caused the dbms_standard package to become valid once again.

    ORA-06512: at "PORTAL30.WWUTL_POB_EXPORT", line 889
    ORA-06512: at line 5
    Has anyone seen this before?
Is there any way we can narrow down why this occurs?
There is no logging on this export option and the stored
    procedures used are wrapped.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Oracle Portal Version: 3.0.9.8.0

    we had this problem.
We talked to some oracle person who said some portlets on a page had trouble exporting.
Sure enough after we deleted all the portlets (one at a time to determine which one was giving us the problem. Turned out none of ours worked) the page exported and imported just fine.
Hopefully this is being worked on...

  • FCE export too large

A 23:19;05 video results in a 15 Gb Quicktime movie. This file size is too large for the scope of the project, which is to produce DVD videos from weekly messages approximately 15-30 minutes in length. Details of the process I am following are below. I am using:
iMac 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3, 8 GB RAM
    OX 10.6.7
    FCE 4.0.1
    iDVD 7.1.1 (1150)
I use the log and transfer option to import video from a Panasonic HDC-TM60 camera (set to HX-1920 record mode), set in and out markers on the clip and then "add clip to queue." When the clip is finished transferring I save the project then export to Quicktime Movie. The result for the above mentioned 23:19;05 video was a 15 GB .mov file. This is problematic and time consuming when using iDVD to burn to disk.  I have read the help file in FCE trying to figure out compression but did not find anything I understood in the "Sequence | Settings" menu it pointed me to. The end use of the video is personal TV widescreen format. What am I missing that is resulting in such large files?
What settings in this process from the recording to the burning would be better to reduce file size and also cut down on the elapsed time it takes to complete making a single video into a DVD.
Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge.

Hi My two thoughts (may be irrilevant)
    A. iDVD doesn't care about Gbs at all - got movies of 500Mb that are to large and 50Gbs that fit nicely.
    iDVD 08, 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities. (vers 7.0.1, 7,0.4 & 7.1.1)
iDVD 6 has the two last ones
    • Professional Quality (movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST
    • Best Performances (movies + menus  less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD
    • High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6) (movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above
    About double on DL DVDs.
    B. FCE/P to iDVD
    Several things
    • How to go from FCE/P to iDVD
    • Free space on Start-up hard disk
    • Encoding
    • Brand and type of DVDs used
    • Burn speed set
    • iDVD BUG
    • Chapters
How to go from FCE/P to iDVD I do
    • Disable Screen and Energy saver
    • IMPORTANT --> FIRST in FinalCut - Mix Down Audio under Sequence Menu / Render Only / Mixdown
    • Export out as a QuickTime .mov file
    • Select with Mark - Chapter Mark
    • Not as Self-Contained (not important but saves time and space)
    • NO QUICKTIME CONVERSION (IMPORTANT)
This QT.mov file I import into iDVD from within iDVD.
Free space on Start-up hard disk
I set a minimum of 25GB (for Mac OS and iDVDs temp files)
    Encoding
    • I use Pro Quality encoding
Brand and type of DVDs used
    • I use Verbatim
    • I use DVD-R
    Burn speed set
    • I set down this to x4 (or x1)
    iDVD BUG
    • One can not go back to movie-project for any alterations and then go back to
the iDVD project. It will notice and ask You to either Up-date or Cancel. Neither
    of them will work.
Medicine - Start a brand new iDVD project.
    Use of Chapters
    • I only use a to z and 0 to 9 in naming them. NO other symbol/letter !
    • NO Chapter-mark at very beginning - iDVD NEEDS TO set this by it stlf
    • No Chapter marks in or within two seconds from a transition
(Way around this last one - Export movie as QT full quality and NO Chapter marks
Import this into a new Movie-project and now You are free to set C-Ms where You want
them except at very beginning - still)
    Material used to build movie
    • video - I use streamingDV (or convert all other to this eg .mp4, .avi, .wmv etc)
    • audio - I use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz or from Audio-CD (44.1kHz) - no .mp3 or direct from iTunes
    • photos - I use .jpg - no .bmp etc
Trash iDVD pref file and run Repair Permissions - and have a re-try.
    from post ??
May not be relevant, but I had the same problem with iDVD, where burned DVDs showed a green screen. It was cured by quitting Quicksilver and Quickeys as well as disabling sleep and screensaving
