As i was installing Final Cut Studio i cancelled it while entering the details, to go to bed. I tried to reopen the installer window and it just comes up with a Terminal Text Window, can anyone help?

As i was installing Final Cut Studio i cancelled it while entering the details, to go to bed. I tried to reopen the installer window and it just comes up with a Terminal Text Window, can anyone help?
It may have half installed the software so dose anyone know if i can reinstall or delete what it has installed?

after using FCS remover run disc repair:
shut down the Mac
Hold the Shift key on keyboard and start up the Mac
The Mac will run the repair tasks it takes 10- 30 minutes, then it will boot up normally
insert the FCS DVD in the drive and install FCS again.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your taking the time to help me with this problem. I'm doing a healing technician training class at my church, and have most of my study material on my ipod. It cashed this weekend which hindered my preparation for my class tomorrow night. I went to the local "Apple Store" late last night and they could get me up and running. They suggested that I call the APL CARD line which I did today, but they gave me a nice run around seccession, and did nothing. Then I was lead to "Google" my question, which eventually lead me to the "Apple" site. Praise the LORD for your help and may you be richly blessed with multiplied blessings in all that you put your hands to do. May you receive a great harvest. As far as I'm concerned you were used by the LORD, and are the real genius!!!

Hi, please can someone help!! I am on EE 4g and every time I go to make a call is fails and takes 2-3 attempts to make it. Likewise when people are trying to call me it fails and takes them a few times to get through. Can anyone help??

This is a nightmare!! If I leave it on 3G it's fine and appears to be when it switches from 4 to 3G. Has anyone had this issue and if so are there any fixes?? I have tried everything, phone and account reset, network settings reset, new sim and new phone but nothing has worked. Please help. This has been going on now for months!!

Locate your original install disk (it's grey) and use it to restart your iMac by holding the "C" key during startup. Use the disk utility to repair your harddrive.

Hi, I am using a MacBook Pro, and downloaded the new iTunes update. I have OS X Lion 10.7.4. It all of sudden is randomly cutting off some songs before the very end of the song. I've tried to read past posts and create new libraries and re-import the old one, but it doesn't seem to help. It is not all of my purchased songs, nor is it all of my downloaded from CD songs, it's just a particularly random set of songs (I haven't checked them all, but it happens every 5 songs or so when I play the whole library on shuffle). This never happened to me before with other versions of iTunes, and when I called the support line the guy says he has never heard of this problem before... !
I have 3000 songs, so I don't want to manually bring each one in again. I am also not super technologically brilliant, so if you have had this problem too and have a simple answer, please help !!!

I have a similar problem with Itunes - the funny thing is it only does it on my Mac and not my PC running Windows 7 - seems strange the Apple software runs better on a Windows computer. Trying to install Final Cut Studio/Pro that was on my old Mac Pro. Have old disks and upgrade but need to know the install sequence.

My old Mac drive died and bought a Air. Trying to install Final Cut but bumping into error on trying to install Studio. I have an upgrade to Pro but I have been told that I need to install Studio first. I have all the original disks.

Final Cut Studio 2 has a "bug" in the installer program that results in the "PowerPC" dialog box.
There are two alternative methods to install into Mavericks:

Help! I had to uninstall old versions of Final Cut Studio.
I now am trying to install Final Cut Studio 5.1 Academic. Installer rejects the serial number every time. I don't know what to do.
It's a valid serial number; I have the packaging right here in front of me. It's old (purchased November 2006) but that shouldn't matter, right?

Thanks for the reply. I was able to read the disc on my Macbook Pro and I copied all of the folders on the install disc onto my flash drive. I plugged it into my iMac and it gave me the following error message: The alias "Install Final Cut Studio" could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found. Delete Alias, Fix Alias, or OK. Deleting the alias just moves the install file to the trash bin. Fixing the Alias asks me to Choose the item that you want alias to "Install Final Cut Studio" to open.
I could not figure out what to do after this. Any clues?

Help with installing Final Cut Studio package

I have a copy of Final Cut Studio 2.0.1. I would like to know if there is a way to create an image file to combine all disks into 1 file. This would help in installing, since I only have one set of disks. I don't want to risk ruining any of the disks, since I have a lab of 30 computers to install Final Cut Studio 2 on.
I have the following disks:
Final Cut Studio Install
Audio Content 1
Audio Content 2
Audio Content 3
Motion Content
LiveType Media 1
LiveType Media 2
DVD Studio Pro Content

Shane, I have all 8 FCP disks saved as a dmg file. I am currently storing these in a share on our NEW Apple XSERVE. I have tried mounting all of the 8 dmg files to the desktop of the iMac, that I'm wanting to install on. But this takes an unusally long time, I cancelled it after a couple days of it trying to mount the images to the desktop.
I'm very green to using Apples, just something that has been dropped in my lap.
Is there a way that I can mount these images in the folder on the Xserve? of is using a portable HDD the only way to do it.

Trying to install final cut studio and not recognizing serial number

I am upgrading from final cut pro 5.1.4 with final cut studio 2. When I enter the studio 2
serial number it asks me for my original serial number from 5.1.4 and it tells me it's not
a valid serial number. I have checked over and over with my manual and the serial number
on the software in the computer and it still says the same thing.

Though it refers to items purchased from the iTunes Store, it applies to all your iTunes content. And if you happen to also own an iPod:
How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
Once you have the tracks on some removable medium, you can mount that on your new computer and then just drag the content to the iTunes window. Make sure that the option to "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" is set in the iTunes -> Advanced -> General preferences before you do. Alternatively, you can use the Add To Library command and select each track (or folder of tracks).
If you won't be using that Windows system once you move the content, don't forget to deauthorize the system from your iTunes Store account before you dispose of the computer.

Strange Window at start-up after installing Final Cut Studio 2

After installing Final Cut Studio 2, everytime I start up I get a window with the Final Cut icon in it And the following text:
Alert Title
Alert: something happened
At the bottom are two buttons:
Cancel and OK

I had the same thing, in my startup items was something called "alert" i deleted it... no more "nothings happened" a few people had this problem and have now solved it !

Need Help Installing Final Cut Studio Version 2.0.1 on Macbook Pro

I am trying to install an old version of Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Studio Version 2.0.1) on my macbook pro (OS X Mountain Lion). When I tried to install it, it said, "power pc applications not supported on this computer". I was told to "uninstall" OS X on my computer, install Final Cut Studio, and reinstall OS X Mountain Lion again. Is this true? If so, how do I do this?

There is a "bug" in the installer application of Final Cut Studio Pro 2 that will fail to work in Lion or Mt. Lion; it will work successfully in Snow Leopard and a subsequent upgrade to Lion or Mt. Lion after the successful installation of FCSP2 will continue to work.
Once Mt. Lion is installed you can use one of these two methods to install FCSP2:
1) Pacifist
2) Jeremy Johnstone's Terminal method:
