I am having as5300.In the flash: of it there are number of invalid checksum files.How to remove these files without erasing the entire flash.Following is text of show flash:

Check out the following steps :
Step 1 : Delete a file on a Flash device.
delete [[m/]device:]filename
Step 2 : If desired, permanently remove all deleted files on the Flash device (this operation can take a number of minutes to complete).
squeeze [m/]device:
Step 3 : Verify the files are deleted.
dir [[m/]device:][filename]
Else try the command - erase flash - for Erasing deleted and invalid files from flash

You cannot transfer song files from iPod to computer using iTunes (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer song files from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
NOTE: Songs previously purchased from the iTunes Store can also be re-downloaded at no cost, from the iTunes Store Purchased screen.

Why export to EPS was removed from Flash CS4?

I just installed evaluation of Flash CS4. I am confused that EPS support was removed. I need illustrations in EPS, because I use LaTeX.
It there workarounds to get an EPS file from a FLA file?

I am having an Identical issue. The help files show an ability to export to EPS 3.0, but there is absolutely no way to do this in Flash CS4 that I can see. For now, I downloaded the trial of illustrator to use as a work around. Interestingly, you have to export from flash as an *.ai file, open it in illustrator, and THEN save as EPS from illustrator. WWWW TTTTT FFFFF. Is adobe deteriorating? I can't even copy from flash and paste into Illustrator.
Perhaps adobe has some kind of explanation - but I doubt it.

How can we cleanup invalidated archive sessions (remove from UNIX)

Over the years, we have accumulated many invalidated archive session files in our archive directory in UNIX. We would love to remove these invalidated session files to free up space.
We have been looking at BC_ARCHIVE ... but the documentation on it only mentions the archive of logs ... not the cleanup of invalid session files that need to be deleted
Can we just delete the files of sessions that are invalid? Or must we perform some function in SAP to delete them? SAP ... can you document the process for this?

You can simply delete the archive files at unix level thats all. No need to do anything else in SAP.

Files removed from folders, added into a "new folder with items"

Just found files missing from document folders in multiple places, all appear to have been moved to a single folder called "new folder with items" under my user folder. Folder structure all in tact - just files all (or rather nearly all) moved.
I'm restoring from back up now but ***?! had this mac for a year with no issues until now. No major tinkering done on the mac to have caused such a dramatic issue.

If the directory name were random (most likely not even readable), that would mean the file system is corrupted and in need to be repaired ASAP, but as the name is in plain english it seems it was assigned programmatically.
As most Unix derivatives, Mac OS X has a program called fsck.
Each time a disk is "mounted" fsck checks if the file system is in a consistent state. If "dangling" files are found, they are collected in a special directory called "lost+found".
Apple could have changed fsck to create a directory "new folder with items" instead of "lost+found", but I think this is unlikely.
Perhaps someone more familiar with fsck could confirm, but in the meantime I would not rule out other theories.
P.S.
The files could still have been selected from the "All my files" category on the sidebar which looks like "flat" directory as far as the finder is concerned.

Index file missing from flash web galleries

Hi All,
I usually make a flash web gallery for my clients to view and select from online. For some reason now I can't get the web module to work correctly. It is acting a little funny from the start but mainly when I export it creates the file without the index file in it. I have version 1.4.1 and 2 beta. The problem is the same in each.
I am on a Mac Pro quad core 2.8GHz with 6GB ram and two hard drives with lots of free space. I hope that is relevant.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why is the .wav file removed from text messages?

Why is my IPhone removing the .wav file that is being sent via text message to my phone? If I send it via an email it comes in but not via a text message sent to my phone number.

I see that there have been 212 views but no replies. I'd love to know if anyone has any thoughts. I ahve voicemails from an outside company forwarded to my IPhone and they come in MUCH quicker via text format then with email. They would also be easier to open. If this is simply not availabel ok but I've seen some other Google results that seem to imply that attached files are available??
Is it because the files are bigger then a standard text message that is gets removed.
Any imput would be appreciated.

How to target a file(pdf) from Flash CS3

Hello,
I have some rather heavy stuff that have been converted to a
more friendly pdf file
I have also created a print button in my fla file in Flash.
How do I set it up so when you press the print button, it
opens the standard printer dialog window or download the file and
open the pdf file so the client can decide what do do with it?? or
something similar to that.
I know that there is a "print" function in the action library
but I just can't make it work
The Pdf File is in a different scene that when a press the
print button it goes to it with no problem.

You are better off simply linking to the PDF from the Flash,
using getURL or another like function, so that the PDF opens in
Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader handles the printing for you
automatically, and Flash printing is not what it should be.

"Stop download"-option removed from Flash Player

Hello,
i reinstalled my OS just recently and all system components including browser and Flash Player (11.8.800.94) as well, of course.
Just briefly after the installation i noticed there was no longer an option to "Stop downloading video" as used to be before. At first i was annoyed and i thought it concerned only me, but on the search for solutions i stumbled over this thread: http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/7AMubhSadeY[1-25-false].
Moreover i experience loading problems with YouTube content which i solely blame on the removal of this feature. While of course i am in no position to demand anything i would appreciate if you'd consider reenabling it in a future release. In the meantime.. could you please make a previous version available for download?

I think it was Youtube that removed the 'Stop download' feature.

Export file formats from flash?

Hi, I have an issue concearning existing file formats for export in Flash CS4.

available formts include EPS and AI.
As far as AI is concearned, I have this option but exported AI files are hard to open in Illustrator, since a number of problems appear.
If I separate all groups in Flash and then export to AI format, Illustrator finally opens the AI file, but changing the colours and the shape of my design.
Moreover, no dialogue box for Illustrator version options appear when I choose AI for export, as is described in the support page.
As to EPS file format, it is not in the export file dialogue box, the formats I have are JPG, PNG, GIF, EMF, WMF, BMP.
My point is that I draw in Flash, then I need to export the designs in Illustrator for print optimization, but the content changes dramatically, if I actually can open the files.
Caould anyone help me?

I am unsure about the Illustrator export, as I have never needed to do this, nor do I have CS4.
The EPS reads as a printer option, not an export one:
"An EPS file can be printed with a PostScript printer. ... This format has no definable export options"

Why won't pdf files open from flash drive?

Some files I have on a flash drive will not open. Some error messages say file is damaged and cannot be repaired or cannot read (109) or internal error.

Damn. What about files that say "internal error"? Those files I have can open up, but some of the pictures and pages and text is missing on those files.

Letter Opener files removed from Library/won't allow email access

I uninstalled MacKeeper two days ago after reading that it is problematic although did not seem to be causing trouble. Now, Letter Opener (OMiC in Library/Mail) is appearing (haven't used it in at least a year & 1/2) with sign-in window before I can open Mac Mail. I have deleted all OMiC files and still cannot open Mail without LO window wanting my information. I had the free version only. Any ideas out there? I'm having to email off my ISP web page and is very cumbersome for doing business. Thak

Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
Here are some general guidelines. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, contact the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
You may have to log out or reboot in order to complete an uninstallation.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software.

Toplink files removed from application browser

my toplink file are not visualized in application browser.
I see them in system browser, but I can't modify the map from there...
Jdeveloper have worked fine for 6 month...since yesterday...
I've also try to install 10.1.3.1 (now using 10.1.3.0), and to move tha application to 10.1.3.1, but it not seem to work...
how can I put these files in the application browser?

I appreciate the time spent by all of the posters. I haven’t been able to get the app. fully back to english. With the exception of the “Preview” app’s title in the menu bar the title on the app’s icon in the apps. folder and one item under the Preview Menu bar’s “Edit” menu,
everything is in english (I have the previous in Spanish which I do not speak) but I can deal with that . I was able to control click the Preview app. folder as suggested by poster Francine Schwieder and manually drag the English.lproj folder into it .
In doing so I found that I had already placed a copy of that folder into the Apps. package by pasting the (sudo mv ~/Desktop/English.lproj/ /Applications/Preview.app/Contents/Resources/) command suggeted by Gnarlodious; so I checked both folders against each other and pulled one out and tried Restarting. I then opened the Apps “Get info” window to see if English was now listed as an option, it was not.
On a followup post by Gnalidious it was suggested that I delete (~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Preview.plist) which I have done but still have the condition per para. 1 above. It seems that whatever instruction is needed to allow the English language option to be listed in the “Get info” window so as I can choose it isn’t happening. Excuse long response...want to give posters as much info as poss.

.Rem files removed from blackberry, how to copy them back?

Unaware of all the issues surrounding .rem files, I copied the files to my desktop using the default windows media manager and checked the "erase from device" option.
So now I have all the .rem files on my computer which I cannot view, and if I copy them back to the pictures folder on my blackberry, they donot show up in the media library on the phone.
I am happy to mail these files to myself from my blackberry, however is there any way to get them back onto my blackberry??

Now that you've copied them to your pictures folder, do a powered on, battery pull reboot, and the cache should update with the pictures in the folder.
