Asset:load

Hi,
for
asset:load
from database which table will be queried for retriving the data.
Thanks in advance

Hello,
This tag is mainly used (and should only be used) to query Basic assets.
After you have created basic asset say - "TestBasicAsset", tablename with same name is created.
Hence, with asset:load tag, you can query an asset either with type+objectid attribute or name+type+value attribute. You have to provide this tablename - TestBasicAsset in type. Check the tag - asset:load

  • IMPORT ISSUE: "assets loading" but no thumbnails

    While in my "work" library during a recent image import, I get the "assets loading" text and spinner, but once the processing is over I have a blank screen: no thumbnails at all.
    I made a new library to test if they'd show up there- they do.
    But I'd like them to import into the work library.
    (Of potential relevance, I recently sucessfully recreated and transfered all my libraries to accomodate a problem I had with Nikon D600 RAW images showing as unsupported file format)...

    What is the format of the drive you transferred to?  Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)?  If it's a FAT32 drive you're going to have problems of this sort.

  • Runtime asset loading - best practice

    Hello,
    I'm creating my first mobile air app, to start with it's going to be on ios then I hope to launch on Android and other platforms. I'm wondering is it a good idea to load my bitmap assets during runtime as and when I need them or is it advised to load them all at once upfront and store in memory?
    I guess obviously it's going to depend on how many, how big, whether items are reused etc but would be great to get an overview of other peoples general approach.
    Thanks is advance!

    If your object pooling (creating assets up from before game play), I don't think there is any performance gain from embedding or loading a bitmap from an external source, with the exception of file size if your loading tons of bitmaps and dont want to package them with the application. I could be wrong though!!!
    In my opinion, once you create a new bitmap instance, and its on the display list or ready to be used, it shouldn't matter how you had retrieved it..( i think)
    Depending on what your doing, you may want to load your bitmaps first to store in memory (create a pool)...  if they are going to be used soon enough that is.
    for example if you have a mario brothers type game with character and recyclable enemy's,coins,terrain pieces... I would recommend to create them all at the start of the level. You don't want to be creating new...() instances during game play, but do you want EVERYTHING in the app created up front? most likely not.
    My personal "technique" is to pool all my game objects up front. If the user goes into the game menu, i am often creating new instances/bitmaps at that time, then calling dispose() and setting things to null when the leave the menu to attempt to save memory.

  • Background asset loading

    hi all,
    I would like to implement a caching of sorts, where the
    initial app loads with some assets. After this I would like to
    downlaod the reset of the assets in the background while the user
    is using the application. I have quite a few images that have
    transitions on them when shown/hidden and would like them available
    so the transitions always work.
    Eventually i would like to databind to an event that fires
    when the assets is ready and enable menuitems on this event, thus
    enabling the navigation as the content becomes available.
    Kind regards,
    Maurice

    You can't. Welcome to java.

  • With Acc dep on assets loaded.

    Hi All,
    we have uploaded a test load of assets which had acc dep till 07/31/2007.
    the load went with out any issues but in the p0sted values in month 8 its shows its posting all the previous months dep as well including month 8.and rest of the months after 8 it sshowing normal
    not able to understand why it is adding all the previous months in the month 8, any help on this would be really grateful.
    Thanks
    Jay

    If you are doing a mid-year legacy data conversion then in the accum depreciation you only enter the accum depreciation up to the last closed fiscal year.  In ordinary depreciation posted you enter the amount posted in the current fiscal year (periods 1 through period 7 or 8 --whichever is correct for you).  Also make sure that you specify that last period depreciation was posted in the legacy system.

  • Asset loading date

    I have two legacy  assets, asset A, acquired in 2009, APC value: 10000, accumlated depreciation 3000,
    asset B, acquired in this year, apc value:20000, accumulated depreciation:8000. the last depreciation run in legacy system will
    be July.2011(july.31), after that it will move to SAP.
    any difference between we use as91 to upload asset A and B, they are prior. year acqusition and current year acquistion?
    what should be asset take over day we configured before using as91?
    so what should be the capitalization date for asset A or asset B?

    Hi,
    1) What should be asset take over Date?
    Example:
    transfer date = December 31, 2010
    => last closed fiscal year = 2010
    2) What should be the capitalization date for asset?
    Capitalization date must be earlier than or same as transfer date
    Example:
    Capitalization date 2011-06-01 is later than the transfer date 2010-12-31 for legacy data transfer of assets.
    This is not possible.

  • Change over year at the time of legacy asset load

    For the US tax books ACRS/MACRS we are using the standard depreciation key 'M200' for machinery asset class. The useful life of the asset is 7 years.
    The depreciation key is calculating the correct depreciation but when we r creating a legacy asset the key is taking the transfer period as a change over period 2007 and it it is coming into next phase of the calculation in the key.
    Change over year is completely changing the calculation of the key. Did anyone come across this situation If so please help
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Yogi.
    you have configured a settlement profile for settling AUC's in t/code OKO7 and then assign this profile to your company code in t/code OAAZ. Check whether it is based on the error message.
    OA84: do you have maintained period control Z1 for the fiscal year variant? Generate period controls for sure in OA84.

  • Ques on Asset Loads

    Hi All
    we are going live at the end of the month - 08/25/08
    i suggested that we take over the Original value, acc depr and NBV as at 12/31/2007
    and suggested tht we run the depreciation run manually till End august (which is the go live date) - now since the General ledger will have these depreciation amounts up until august, already posted - i suggested that we do a reversal transaction for tht amount
    is this approach wrong?
    is there any other way i can handle this?
    Thank u
    Rukshana

    though u should be taking the accumlated depreciation up to Aug 08,
    in SPRO>financial accounting> asset accounting> asset data transfer> date specification>
    Specfy transfer date: 08/25
    Specify last period posted: 08/2008
    in this way, when u upload, accumlated value should include up to 08/2008. so there is no reversal needed

  • Using the vanilla/default preloader to load additional assets?

    I have a Flex application that automatically loads the SWF and it's contents and displays the default progress bar like in all Flex apps. Currently I have a class in the application using a Loader instance to load a few external bitmaps to be added to the stage/canvas as well as an MP3. I'd like to handle the loading of these assets in the Flex default preloader and get rid of the Loader instance entirely.
    How can I do this?

    At least for the images, and perhaps for the sound, you need to not use loader, and instead embed the assets, because if loader is used the assets load at the same time as the SWF, which is too late.
    So in the createChildren method you override when you override DownloadProgressBar:
    //global var
    [Embed("Logo1.png")]
    [Bindable] public var logoCls:Class;
    private var logoDO:DisplayObject;
    // in createChildren() method
    logoDO = new logoCls();
    logoDO.x = (stageWidth/2)-(borderRect.width/2)+_logoX;
    logoDO.y = (stageHeight/2)-(borderRect.height/2)+_logoY;
    addChild(logoDO);

  • Premiere CS4 will not load project

    Hi! I've been looking around the forums for an answer to my problem, but so far I haven't found one. Here's my problem:
    I've been working on a Premiere project for a couple weeks now, and I've constantly been having problems.  It crashes often, and sometimes does not respond. This I do not mind, I just save whenever I do something.
    Yesterday night, I tried to open my project.  I opened it, and the little box popped up that said, "Load Project...".  The loading bar went all the way to the end and then froze. In the bottom left corner, it had said that all media was loaded. I pressed cancel and then Premiere froze.  I then exited Premeire and tried to reopen, but the same thing happened. I had read on one post to try to turning off your computer and then turning it back on. So, I went to bed.
    Today, the project was working perfectly until now.  This time, the loading bar only loaded about 75%, even though at the bottom it said that all media was loaded.  I re-started my computer, but it didn't help.  I pressed shift, but it didn't help.  And the last time an auto-save file was created was yesterday, and I have made a lot of progress since then.  Does anyone have a solution to this?
    Frozen!
    I have 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium on an HP computer with and Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8400 2.66 GHz.  The RAM is 6 GB. I don't know if this information will help you, but just in case.

    I spent the day researching why my PrPro CS4 project hangs at about 80% loaded all of a sudden.  Bill was right on in his suggestion to search for a corrupt or bad asset.  His technique to solve the problem did not work at all though. Going back to a perviously auto-saved version of the project does not help much unless the project file itself is the bad asset. The project once saved under a new name still won't load in my experience. Also, if you try to export some part of the assets within the project, Adobe Media Encoder CS4 will fail to encode as well (another symptom of the bad asset hiding in your project workplace and sequence time-lines.
    In my case, it turned out to be an avi movie asset that I changed from "avi movie with audio" to "avi movie without audio" outside of adobe premiere (using after effects cs4 in my case).  So now the project thought there should be audio, but the audio was now removed.
    To find the bad asset was pretty easy: First go back to a project version that you can load, then click on each asset in the project workspace area and try to copy the asset using the menu: edit -> copy.
    If the asset is bad, a goofy error message will pop up including a source code file name [this has to be yet another bug in premiere to crash like this].
    If the asset is good, the copy will report no error, so move on to the next asset, repeat until you find one or all bad assets.
    To solve the bad asset load problem,re-import the asset under a new name. Go to your sequence, right mouse click on the asset in the time line, use the "replace with clip -> bin" command. Last step, select the new replacement asset from your bin.

  • Statistic on throughput of data loader utility

    Hi All
    Can you guys share some statistics on throughput of data loader utility ? If you are looking for number of records you may consider 1 Million, how long it would take to import this ?.
    I need these number to make a call on using Web Service or Data loader utility. Any suggestion is appreciated.
    Thank you.

    It really depends on the object and the amount of data in there (both the number of fields you are mapping, and how much data is in the table).
    For example…
    One of my clients has over 1.2M Accounts. It takes about 3 hours (multi-tenant) to INSERT 28k new customers. But when we were first doing it, it was sub-1hour. Because the bulk loader is limited on the record count (most objects are limited to 30k records in the input file), you will need to break up your file accordingly.
    But strangely, the “Financial Account” object (not normally exposed in the standard CRMOD), we can insert 30k records in about 30 min (and there are over 1M rows in that table). Part of this is probably due to the number of fields on the account and the address itself (remember it is a separate table in the underlying DB, even though it looks like there are two address sets of fields on the account).
    The bulk loader and the wizard are roughly the same. However, the command line approach doesn’t allow for simultaneously INSERT/UPDATE (there are little tricks around this; depends how you might prepare the extract files from your other system... UPDATE file and a INSERT file, some systems aren't able to extract this due to the way they are built).
    Some objects you should be very careful with because the way the indexes are built. For example, ASSET and CONTACT both will create duplicates even when you have an “External Unique Id”. For those, we use web services. You aren’t limited to a file size there. I think (same client) we have over 800k ASSETS and 1.5M CONTACTS.
    The ASSET load (via webservice which does both INSERT and UPDATE) typically can insert about 40k records in about 6 hours.
    The CONTACT load (via webservice which does both INSERT and UPDATE) typically can insert about 40k records in about 10 hours.
    Your best shot is to do some timings via the import wizard and do a little linear time increase as you increase the data size sitting in the tables.
    My company (Hitachi Consulting) can help build these things (both automated bulk loaders and web services) if you are interested due to limited resource bandwidth or other factors.

  • Adding an asset

    when ever i try importing an asset it loads to 100% then drops back down to around 75% and loops in this fashion for ever, can i fix this problem or is it that I'm not waiting long enough

    Just wait a little longer... ;o) Encore's progress bars and completion estimates are less than just a bit unreliable, to say the least. They will give you completely unrealistic values most of the time (and it hasn't gotten better with CS3). Loading times per-clip should at worst be as long as the clip duration, but even in that case something is wrong and some unnecessary transcoding goes on. On average a 5 minute clip should take just a few seconds. However, if you have many, many short assets, loading may be a bit long-ish as the overhead from checking the files for consistency becomes an issue. On long clips you should not see this behavior, but naturally the progress indicator will stick at 75% rather long after the initila scan before suddenly jumping to 90% and then smoothly counting up to 100%. Importing clips of about an hour can indeed take 10 minutes or more, so a little more patience is advisable. If you're not getting anything imported properly after that time, then something's possibly wrong, in most cases invalid MP2 streams which were encoded externally... Just give it another try and come back if the problems persist.

  • AUC legacy assets uploading through AS91 transaction code with TT- 900

    Hi,
    I am uploading the AUC Legacy assets through AS91 transaction code.
    In AS91 - I need to select Transactions option & should enter the transaction type 900 to give the Legacy AUC valules.
    When i give the Transactioon type 900 for AUC assets load in AS91, the system is giving the Asset Value Data as 01/04/2009.
    But the Asset Data takeover date given in the system was 31/03/2009. But why the system is taking 01/04/2009 (This is Fiscal year starting date for Country India).
    #Now my problem is i should get the *Asset value Date -31/03/2009 but not 01/04/2009.
    Kindly advise me how to change this asset value date to 31/03/2009 from 01/04/2009? It would be a great help for me if any one can help me or provide me some inputs...
    Thanks
    Kishore

    Hi Zubin,
    Thanks for your reply.
    1. we are using V3 fiscal year variant (March-April)
    2. In the Path given by you - I have maintained March -31,2009 for transfer date. In this case system is taking the 1st' April,2009 (This is next financial year first date)
    3. But I should get the same date as transfer date (31st march,2009). I dont want next fiscal year first date as AUC asset value date.
    4.how can i change this value date?
    Thanks
