Asset selections only allowed in repeat run

Hi Experts,
I am was posted Deprication 2009 with 12 periods from Planned posting run.
When I am doing Deprication 2010 with 1 periods from Planned posting run for perticual period its work in test run u2018 T E S T R U N completed successfully , A document was created u2018, but when I remove the tick from test run system give.
Error u201CAsset selections only allowed in repeat run Message no. AA734u201D
Diagnosis
    Processing not possible because of errors in the parameters.
System Response
    Processing cannot be continued.
Procedure
    When performing a new posting run or a restart, you cannot limit it to
    the assets you want to be processed. You can only select assets in a
    repeat run. Start the program again with the appropriate parameters.

When you run a planned, restart or unplanned depreciation run you can ony run it only for all the assets in the real run
When you have run the planned or unplanned depreciation it create records in the system for all the assets and there are errors then you should run the restart for all the assets.
The repeat run you use when you have changed 1 or some assets in the old month and wand only to rerun for these assets the depreciation run.
In a test run you can run it for only some assets but as no test you have to run it for all the assets (only for the repeat run you can make a selection in the real run)

Scene selection only allows first chapter to play in previews

In the scene selection screen, iDVD will show each chapter in the movie and allows you to play a short movie clip as a preview. I would think that each chapter would allow you to play a portion of video from that chapter. But instead, iDVD only allows you to play a clip from chapter 1 in all the chapters. That makes no sense. What am I missing here?

I have same problem. In test mode, clicking on each chapter starts a relevant time in the main movie. But on a burned project only first chapter works, other just loop but when clicked on, nothing happens. Any help around?

AJAB-Error AFAB-Not allowing repeat run

Dear Friends
User executed AFAB in 12-2008 and since period was still open, asset retirement was posted in period 12-2008. As a result of this, the asset net book value is open by the amount of depreciation which was posted for the period 12-2008. We tried all options such as- Recalculate depreciation from asset master data, activated asset again, opened period 12-2008 and trying to run AFAB -Repeat run for period 12- 2008 in test mode for such retired assets only and system does not show any asset values in AFAB and no error log is also created. What could be the reason for this? AJAB gives an error due to these retired asset as planned depreciation -dep which was posted for 12- 2008 is shown in AS03 also as planned depreciation to be reversed for such assets is not completely posted. Tried posting with AFAB in period 13 and planned posting run also, but nothing happens with AFAB. I have following questions
What could be reason for these assets not being depreciated by repeat run of AFAB.
What is the solution for resolving the error -Planned depreciation not completely posted- in AJAB
If AJAB is not run, can we still post depreciation for period 1- 2009

Many thanks for the quick response. I reversed the retirement document and it corrects the situation and now no error in AJAB. But if I still run AFAB in test mode for repeating the run, I don't get any values for the asset. This is because, depreciation was already posted in period 12, 2008 and now there is nothing to post for depreciation. I am not sure if we can do repeat run of AFAB in 12,2008 and retire the asset again in period 12, 2008.
Just to clarify the following part: Did you mean to do this in 2008? Pl. clarify how do I do the following? This is because AFAB is not going to post anything for repeat run in 2008 as I described below and if we repeat retirement in 2008, then the same error will appear in AJAB.
You'll need to reverse the retirements and then run the depreciation program in repeat mode.
You should be able to then retire the assets, and perform year-end close.

Installed CC on new laptop, why am I only allowed trial version?

I originally bought CC and installed on a Macbook pro. Now I've bought a new Macbook pro 2014 and installed CC, but it only allows me to run the trial version. As far as I know, CC allows for the software to be installed on two machines at the same time and since I'm logged in with my Adobe ID on the new laptop it should recognise that I have a license, or not?
What can I do to change from trial version to normal license?

Asset Accounting - Depreciation Repeat Run

Hi Seniors,
Depreciation run upto period 7 is over. Now, client wants to create few Intangible assets and depreciation needs to be run from period 1. I created one Intangible asset in Quality Server and tried to do repeat run for that particular asset. It says the posting will be done in Period 7. But, client wants the depreciation to be posted every month. Is there any way for this? Periods are open.

Hi Kumar,
Repeat run option is only for running the depreciation for the previous month only in this case period 7. The system calculates the amount from the period 1-7 and posts in period 7.
One option you can try is. You can create the repeat depreciation run for period 7 for this particular asset in background and process the same in foreground, changing the posting date and amount. Make sure your period is open.
Test this scenerio in your test client.

Hi All,
My client upgraded SAP System from 4.6 to 6.0. While testing the depreciation run in AFAB, it is showing the error as "Only asset postings are allowed in this account". We have checked all the settings relating to GL Accounts for Depreciation and Accumulated Depereciation. All are correct, like Depreciation account is a P&L Acccount and Accumulated depreciation account is a Balance sheet Asset reconciliation account. Checked the account assignement in AO90 as well. They are also correct.
The deprecaition was posted up to 2nd period and now we are simulating for 3rd period for which the error is showing, We did not change any configuration setting or the master data.
Is anybody having any idea why such error is showing ? Kindly let us know

The user has written a Validation for authorisation to run the depreciation with out proper message. The problem was solved when we run the depreciation with another user. Thanks all .

I deleted windows after i realised i wasnt enjoying using it at all and wasted my hard drive. I now decided that i want another OSX on there instead yet i have only allowed myself 10 gb on the partition. I have ben thru some programms but am struggling on making this partition bigger.
I only want it at 20gb but cant seem to make the partition bigger, only smaller or split it into further partition.
Is there a way to do this, i have all installation discs from original OSX so think this could help.
Any help please would be fantastic.

Hi, dragging the partition will only make smaller, not larger. In disk utility you can only split or make smaller the partitions. Yes i booted from installation disks also but still no help.
And Brody, I am willing to erase the disc completely, infact jus started doing a backup in order to do so but that failed also. And the information you gave on partition a hard drive, Although very simple and i already know how to do this, but it wont let me make the partition bigger, and i dont want to make a new partition, just enlarge the one i already have, which i dont see possible from disk utility.
Getting really frustrated now, even backing up is saying no to me. **** external being a douche.
I dont mind erasing the hard drive but surely this must be doable without deleting the secondary partition back t a single volume, and re partitioning into 2 volumes again.

Try ejecting your iphone from iTunes and then close iTunes. Now retry. Hope this helps.

Only allow x rows to be selected in a jtable

hi all,
i want to only allow a user to select x rows. where x is set in the code.
for example if i only allow 2 rows to be selected....and the rows are:
a
b
c
d
e
then if the user selects a then b then c the selection is first ab, then bc (ie a is deselected when c is selected). kind of like a first in first out thing.
so if the user then selected e, then you have c and e as the selected rows.
any ideas of how i can do this...thanks everyone.

A JTable's row selection is handled by a ListSelectionModel object:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/javax/swing/JTable.html#selectionModel
You should be able to either use manipulate that object, or subclass it to implement you custom selection logic and assign your subclass to the table's selectionmodel.
As far as implementing the logic, keep a queue of the selected rows. When a new row is selected, add it to the queue, and then reset the selection to the first x rows in the queue.

Tab control only allows two page selections

I am having a hard time understanding why my VI only allows two specific tab clicks every time I run it.
Should I be using shift registers with the "initializing" Tab Controls on the left of the VI before it enters the loop?
No matter what I do, it will allow me to change the tab controlled pane two times and then it will not react to anything.
Once I have reached my maximum alloted, two clicks, then the main Cycle abort button will not react either.
Kind of stumped... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

WOW,
you realize that two of your event structures are running in parallel with the while loop- and they will only execute once? One event- one event execution event. The construct "finishes" done! it won't look for another event.
Take a look at the shipping examples or the P-C QSM (events) template.
Your efforts are not bad, but, show a lack of LabVIEW basics- Dataflow is a different Paradigm- (AND REALLY POWERFUL) but you do need to understand what happens when you use constructs that "break data flow" like locals, globals, and event structures and read the caveats in the LabVIEW help file to get grounded in "best practices"
CAVEAT:
I've probably "broken" most of the "best practices" guidelines- Intentionally! but I wanted specific things from LabVIEW that I knew would happen without race conditions. 99.995% of my code does not violate the "best practice" rules. I write a lot of LabVIEW- It gives me room in that 0.005% to do "interesting" things.

"Run only allowed" GP prevents zen apps

I've just started to experiment with restricted Windows Group Policies an ZMC 10.3. I cant seem to get any restricted applications to run from the nal window like they did in zen 4, 6, or 7 while using the "Run only allowed windows applications" group policy setting.
Before I only had to allow nalwin.exe and nalshell.dll but this no longer appears to work. Other people have posted this issue with versions as new as 10.2 and the "fix" was to allow nalshell.dll but I've already done that.
What am I missing? I dont actually get the usual restriction message like if i tried to run an program from the start menu that isnt allowed, but instead zen give an unspecified error. The apps run just fine using a GP that doesnt have "run only allowed" set.
Any help is appreciated.

I think it would be difficult to get a bug created that said:
"ZCM honors Windows Security Policies"
It was certainly never the intentional design to allow this.
Rogue Process Mgmt was the tool to perform the feature you are
describing in lieu of using the Microsoft GPO.
I'm not aware of any products that do or would advertise this feature,
since a security patch could fix it at any time.
The best bet would be to use file rights to actually control what user's
launch in combination with limiting where programs can be launched.
(Such as from %ProgramFiles%, etc..)

Yes it's MS Windows! You will need a license of MS Windows (preferable Windows 7) and from there you can decide on the strategy for running Windows on your iMac. You can use Boot Camp (you already have this) or you use virtualization software such as Parallels or Fusion. For your situation I'd recommend virtualization software. However for only one program I'd do some due diligence to see if there is a OS X version. You can start with the App store or simply use Google to search.
