Assign Company Codes to new Credit Controlling areas after going live.

Dear FI Experts;
Our Status Now:
We Have 3 Company Codes, CC 1000, 2000, 3000 and one Credit Controlling Area Code 0001, and the Customers are assigned to this Credit Controlling area with no problems and we are live since about 9 months ago.
Requirement:
We have a requirement to split the Customer Credit limit between companies, which means we have to create more credit control areas for example CCA 0002, and 0003, and though assign our 3 company codes to the new credit control areas, as follows:
CC 1000 to CCA 0001
CC2000 to CCA 0002
CC3000 to CCA 0003
And my Question is, what is the procedures to follow to do that (Not a Customization Procedures, I mean the How the Customers would be affected and the open items for them and how to resolve that), since as mentioned above we are already live since 9 months ago, and credit management is active and all our customers are assigned to our old Credit control area 0001, and also what is the consequence of doing that new assignment since we are live, thanks for your reply

You will need to manage to create new credit master data under new credit control area. System should reorganize existing credit data after reassignment, that is when you change master data (create credit master under new credit control area), new credit exposure is calculated based on AR in company code and existing open orders will get rechecked for credit under new credit control area & new risk categories assigned to them.

We have created two credit control area  "1000" and "2000" for a company. A customer should be assigned to one credit area only.
Mistakenly user have assigned  wrong credit area  "2000"  for customers and  transactions have been processed for it. Now the problem is that when i create  correct credit control area "1000"  and check the recievable on FD32  for new credit control area  it is showing "ZERO" Balance for recievables. Is it possible that actual recievable are fetch up on new credit control area so that i can efficiently use it.

  • Running JVA & Non-JVA Company Codes with a single Controlling Area

    Hello,
I am currently working on a consolidation project. Our scenarios will involve activating JVA in some company codes while it is not activated in some other company codes. We intend to maintain a single controlling area in CO for all these company codes i.e. JVA and Non-JVA company codes have a common controlling area.
I would like hear from gurus that have implemented or a are supporting a scenario in which JVA and Non-JVA company codes share a common controlling area. I'd like to know if the technical and/or operational challenges of this scenarios, if there are any issues to keep in mind and possible work-arounds.
Any help in this regard would be appreaciated.
    Thanks.
    Oluwafemi.

    Hello,
From FI/CO/JVA perspective there should not be any issues, even if two company codes one JVA active and other non JVA active are there in the same controlling area.(I have been part of the implementation where both JVA and non JVA company codes resides in the same controlling area)
Its important to ask from consolidation purpose are you going to use any of the JVA table. If yes then you have to be careful because non JVA active company code information will not be stored in the JVA table.
It would be gr8, if you can share some of the apprehension from consolidation perspective, so that we can elaborate on the issues.

  • Assigning company code to new cc and pc standard structure hierarchy

I've uploaded some profit center and cost center to sandbox, and now the structure hierarchy has changed a lot and makes me totally confused, since all cost center and profit center already have data on it.
I need to assign all company code (at one Controlling Area) to new stucture hierarchy, can I do that?
    Thanks.
    -=Meila.S=-

    Hi ,
At a given key date, you can generate the following hierarchies for a cost center from the enterprise organization:
    Standard hierarchy
    Alternative hierarchy
Replace standard hierarchy with alternative hierarchy.
If the hierarchies are large, generate them in the background. If you try to generate large hierarchies online, processing can be stopped due to timeout.
If you want to generate an alternative hierarchy, enter a suffix for this hierarchy.
You can assign a name without a suffix for the standard hierarchy only
If you want to replace the standard hierarchy with an alternative hierarchy,Enter the name of the alternative hierarchy that is to be the standard hierarchy.
When it generates this new standard hierarchy, the system automatically shortens the previous name by this suffix.
Enter a suffix for the old hierarchy. This becomes an alternative hierarchy.
Specify whether the hierarchy should be generated for cost center or profit center.
Specify whether groups that exist in the existing standard or alternative hierarchy should be overwritten when the new hiearchy is generated.
Specify whether the hierarchy is to be generated for controlling areas or for profit centers.
    Choose Execute
To generate the hierarchies in the background, choose Execute program in background.

  • One or More Credit Control Area assinged to one company code

    HI Guys,
In credit management , the below said customizing is done by FI.
    Financial Accounting Customizing
Financial Accounting  Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable  Credit Management  Credit Control Account  Assign Permitted Control Areas to Company Code
Can any one explain why and for what purpose “assign permitted control areas to company code”.
Because one control area can be assigned to one company code. If not please clarify.

    Credit Control Area
    Definition
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored.
This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is
performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control
    information for each customer.
    Use
Credit and risk management takes place in the credit control area. According to your corporate
requirements, you can implement credit management that is centralized, decentralized, or
    somewhere in between.
For example, if your credit management is centralized, you can define one credit control
area for all of your company codes.
If, on the other hand, your credit policy requires decentralized credit management, you
can define credit control areas for each company code or each group of company codes.
Credit limits and credit exposure are managed at both credit control area and customer level.
You set up credit control areas and other data related to credit management in Customizing for
Financial Accounting. For more information, see the Implementation Guide under Enterprise
Structure   Definition or   Assignment   Financial Accounting and then Maintain credit control
area. You assign customers to specific credit control areas and specify the appropriate credit
limits in the customer master record.

  • Credit Controll area

    Dear all,
I am using one credit control area for two company codes.
    is it right?
if my customer is belong to both company code, i want to give credit limit different as per cmpany code then is it possible?
if i assign credit limit to customer then is it applicable for both company code & consider as a total credit of both company code.
Also is it consider all the values of order, billing from both company code while consider as credit limit.
Plz send me the details regarding the same.
    Thx & Regards,
    PM

    Hello,
There can be one or more company codes under one credit control area, but it is not possible to assign a company code to more than one credit control area.
Within a credit control area, the credit limits must be specified in the same currency.
The credit limits assigned to customers in one company code are limited only to that particular company code.
Normally customers are created independent of the company code i.e. each company code will have their own customer master records.
But if you have the same customer in both company codes...........you can either create a customer master with same customer number with both company codes or with different customer numbers in the customer master record.
If you have the same customer number in both company codes..........then the system will not allow you to have seperate credit limits as the system takes into account the customer number and credit control area while fixing the credit limit (FD31) .
on the other hand if the customer numbers are different, then you have the flexibility to issue different credit limits in different company codes.
so any orders raised in that particular company code will only take the credit limit of the customer from the corresponding company code.

  • Difference Between Controllin area and Credit Control area

    hi.
can u pls tell  me the difference  Controllin area and Credit Control area....?
is there any FM is available for CreditControlAreaGetList........?
    regards
    Guru

    Hi Bojja,
    Controlling Area:
Controlling provides you with information for management decision-making. It facilitates coordination, monitoring and optimization of all processes in an organization. This involves recording both the consumption of production factors and the services provided by an organization.
As well as documenting actual events, the main task of controlling is planning. You can determine variances by comparing actual data with plan data. These variance calculations enable you to control business flows.
Income statements such as, contribution margin accounting, are used to control the cost efficiency of individual areas of an organization, as well as the entire organization.
    CCA(Credit Control Area)
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored.
This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control information for each customer.

  • Credit Control Area Management

    Dear All
As part of Enhancement,  we are configuring the "Customer Credit management" with Credit Control area organizational object.
Client has identified to use "Decentralized" Credit control management,  but however,  all comapny codes are assigned with one controlling area since implementation (since 2.5 years).
Though Credit Control area was assigned during implementation, it was actually not used.  Now they wanted to use the same.  However,  they wanted different Credit controlling area for different company codes.
However,  If I am assigning new Credit controlling area now to respective company codes, then system is considering the AR transaction data posted from the date it is assigned.  but, we want new credit control areas to consider all the data from past 2.5 years.  Is this possible?
If possible, please help, how to fix this.
    Your help highly appreciated
    best regards
    S Habib Pasha.

    Hi Habib
There is a standard SAP program that lets you revamp all the entered data to their correct credit control area and the steps involved are:
u2022     Table dumps of KNKK, S066, S067 on the old Credit Control Area
u2022     Check and export the values from Report VKM4 to ascertain the number of blocked orders
    u2022     In SM30, Update the Tables T014n and T001cm
u2022     Go to Transaction OB38 and assign your new CCA as default for the company codes
    u2022     Run the transaction F.28/RFDKLI20 execute without any parameters {check the test run output}
    u2022     Execute Program RVKRED09 {might not be required u2013 since RFDKLI20 does redo the credit check}
u2022     Validate VKM4 for all blocked orders
u2022     If there were any discrepancy between AR receivables and the Credit Master, it can be viewed by executing the Program RFCORR40
Also make sure that if you are using the different CCA for the same Co Code, in OB38 - you have checked the 'Overwrite CCA'' check box.
Hope this helps you; let me warn you - its a very tedious process and it might take a whole weekend to run this in a Production Client
    Good luck

  • Credit control area in FF68

    Hi
We have a scenario where we have 3 credit control areas in one company code. Now when i am using FF68, there is no field to enter the credit control area. If i am using F-28, i can enter it manually but in FF68 i have no such option. can anyone kindly help as what to do in such cases.
    Regards
    Sachin

    Dear Sachin,
If you wanna enter a Credit Control Area in Account Document you can, perflectly, use a Substitution Rule. I'm affraid it's not possible enter this field directly in transaction FF68.
I simulated this transaction and realize that a Batch Input session is created, So, this process follow until an Account Document creation. As I said, It's possible create a substitution rule by OBBH.
First, you have to define your scenario.
For example: You have 3 Co. Codes and 3 credit control area. Each Co. Code has your respective credit control area.
In substitution rule you can define what Credit Control Area belongs to what Co. Code.
I hope that helps just like a few points!
    Tks.

  • Currency in credit control area - Urgent !

    Hi,
The client wants to change the currency in the credit control area from SIT (Slovenian Tolar) to EUR ( Euro). Can somebody list the impact of changing the currency in the credit control area.
    Its URGENT !
    Regards
    Karpagam

    Hi,
I don't think we can change the currency of Credit Control Area after the transaction data is posted. For the same Custome account part of the transactions will be in SIT and part of them in EUR. Even if it allows it leads to inconsistencies in the tables.
Check whether there are any OSS notes for changing the currency of Credit Control Area.
Probably, you can consider to set up a new Credit Control Area with EUR currency.
    Thanks

  • Change the Credit control area with balances

    Hi,
The requirement is there are two credit control areas, XX10, XX12. Now they want only one credit control area ie  XX12,( all customers which are in XX10, should be now with XX12 credit control area) but when  changing the credit control area of a particular customer from  XX10 to XX12, the credit limit and exposure is not displayed in new credit control area. ( Tcode Fd32)
How can we upload all customers and balances to new Credit control area.

  • Can we assign 2 credit control area for one company codes

    hi,
    sap gurus,
can we assign 2 credit control areas to one company codes ?

what is the impact of that
    can any one analyse.

    Hi,
we can have multiple credit control areas based on req-
eg: client wants to restrict customer based on divisoin wise.
then we will maintain credit control area based on sales area
there 3 division in a comp: AA -BB - CC
    thens sales areas will be:
    1000-10 -AA
    1000-10-BB
    1000-10-CC ( assuming therez one sales org-1000 & dc 10)
now create 3 cr control areas- OB45
Assign sales area to cr Control area - OVFL
Assign permitted credit control areas to comp code - IMG- FA- AR&AP- Credit Management- Credit control account - Assign permitted credit control areas to comp code.
Now you can assign this Cr CA- by sales area wise in CMR & maintain the credit limits for each Cr CA.
So when ever your needs wants to do it by division or sales area wise you can do this.
    Thanks,
    Raja
