Assigning Printers to Specific Shipping Points

Hi,
Our system has multiple Sales Organisations, within each - one plant/warehouse/shipping point.
I have added additional plants to a few of these sales orgs, along with the relative warehouse and shipping point.
Sales users now have the option of selecting a plant when in a sales order - depending on stock availability at each. We successfully have multiple deliveries generating for differnt plants, under 1 sales order.
However:
I don't know how to assign a separate printer device to each shipping point/plant. The plants are separate warehouse locations therefore it needs to be automatic.
I've tried VP01SHP, however all 60 shipping points that alreeady existed showed the same data, there must be somewhere else that defines them to a separate device?
Any help greatly appreciated.

RF Queue for a specific Shipping Point ...... Is it possibe?

Hi,
We have around 10 doors and 10 shipping points. Transfer orders created for all the outbound deliveries are directed to an RF queue for picking.
Now, we have a specific Shipping Point which we want to seperate out for picking and we want the transfer orders to go to a different queue.
How can this be achieved?
Few clues which might work out are :
1) If we can somehow link that shipping point to a door, then we can create a queue for that door. But how can we link a shipping point to a door?
2) If we create a new storage type and direct our picking to the new storage type. Is it possible? how?
Any other suggestions are welcome.

Shipping Point Assignment to Plant

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the T Code to assign Shipping point to plant.
Though. I have defined plant in Enterprise Structure, when i go the assignments and try to do this assignment there is only the standard plant appering in the structure and hence am not able to assign the Shipping point for my plant.Am working on ECC 5.0

Plant and Shipping point assignment

Dear All,
As a standard process we have copied the plants and shipping points in the development client and i have deleted the default shipping point and assigned the newly defined shipping point.I have forgotten to assign one plant and shipping point and i have even deleted the default shipping point.Now i have to assign the plant x to the shipping point x where i am not able to find the plant in the ovxc screen.Is there any way to find the missing plant or i have to delete all the assignments and reassign again.
Help required as early as possible.

1) Check in OX10 whether you could see that plant
2) Check in OVXD whether you could see that shipping point
If the answer to both is yes, then you should be able to see in OVXC also. If not, better try to delete in the above areas also, recreate and then check in OVXC

Shipping in shipping point from plant and storage location is not possible

Dear Experts,
i am trying to configure STO with delivery scenario in my company
after creating PO (sto UB) and delivery through vl10b when i try to do picking in vl02n and when i enter storage location its giving error
"shipping in shipping pointxx from plant xxxxand storage location xxxx is not possible"
i ve checked all settings
1.plant and sh point assignment
2. ovl2 sh point determination
3.ovl3 picking location determination
4 all master data cust n mat for loading group and shipping cond
not able to find any solutions plz help

Check your entries in following options in SPRO path:
IMG - MM - Purchasing - Purchase Order - Set Up Stock Transport Order - Setup Stock Transfer b/w Storage Location - Setup Storage-Location-Specific Shipping Point Determination
Option 1: Define Rule for Determination of Shipping Point
Option 2: Assign Shipping Points According to Storage Location (this should be there, if in Option 1 Determin. Rule; Shipping Point is L: Storage-Location-Specific Shipping Point )

Shipping point calendar

Hi all,
I am having scenario where factory calendar is having 5 weekdays. However due to this deliveries can not be picked and delivered on Sat and Sun. Schedule line could not pick the dates on saturday and sunday.
To resolve this we have two options here.
1. Change the factory calendar to 7 weekdays but it will affect the MRP process already setup in the plant. For that we can also use planning calendar. However for this master data maintenance is huge.
2. Assign a separate calendar to shipping point.
In the second option, I am not aware that whether is it possible to assign separate calendar for shipping point in SAP R3 or ECC. If it is possible, kindly let me know the config required for the same.

As 12 is the max in OVL2 if i am not wrong , as right now i am not in front of SAP system. I think you need to go for the enhancements
But can i know what is the scenario and what made you to go for more than 12 shipping points?

Sales order change allows shipping point | plant combination - not possible

A sales order was created and all lines defaulted to the correct shipping point for the plants.
Subsequently, one line's shipping point was changed to a shipping point not possible for the plant, i.e, no assignment exists for the shipping point and plant. There were no checks to validate the change. Thus, the sales order was saved with the bad shipping point for the plant (non-WM).
The delivery was created with two lines for plant (WM) and one line for plant (non-WM).
The solution was to manually delete the non-WM plant line from the delivery and. Next, correct the plant (non-WM) to the WM managed plant and create a new delivery.
Why did SAP allow the order to save with bad shipping point - plant combination.

Definitely, standard SAP won't allow you to change the shipping point unless, it is assigned in OVL2 as already pointed out. Check whether this issue is there for all plants / shippint points or only in that document, this issue has happened.

Org structure quiries - about sales org to plant assignment &shipping point

Dear All,
My client is asking why the assignment of single sales organization with respect to all plants, why not separate sales organization for each plant?. But here we configured the single sales organization since a single sales department is there. How to convince the same to them effectively?
What is the significance of shipping point (to give an explanation to client) - my client is asking is shipping point is same as plant?

we have three sales organisations,One distribution channel and three divisions.
Nine sales ares we have
If you have more sales organizations then the master data will be more. so keeping sales organization to minimum will help to maintain master data easily
Possible reasons for having more than one sales organization for each company code:
· Different legal responsibilities, for example product liability
· Unusual stipulations (for example legal), which make it necessary to distribute different product lines separately u2013 for example, products for medicine and veterinary medicine
· The desire to separate completely the sales activities of different enterprise areas
Separate distribution responsibilities, each with their own Marketing and Pricing policy u2013 for example, one for the domestic market and one for export
Overlapping customer and product master records or the desire to maintain customer and product master data in a specific, unusual way
· Overlapping responsibilities for order entry, or for sales and distribution processing (sales authorizations)

Shipping point ZHYD is still assigned to a picking

I have created ZHYD shipping point through copy from 1000 shipping point. Now i am going to assignment but the shipping point ZHYD is assigned all plantsu2019 am trying to delete all plants except ZHYD.but system showing fallowing error message,

When i am maintaining enterprize structure in sd in assignment of organizational unit if i want to assign shipping point to the plant ,its not detecting plant untill i set up sales line(plant+sales organization/distribution channel) .what is the relation between sales line set up with shipping point to plant assingment? please clarify...

Shipping point can ONLY be assigned to a delivering plant.
2. Plants can be "made" in to delivering plant by assigning Sales Org. , D channel to Plant.
Therefore after 2 you have the possibility to assign shipping point to the plant (which has been made a delivering plant)
PS - org unit plant is used in MM, PP and SD etc. but delivering plant is an important org unit for SD.
From a business process perspective - PP: Plant is a manufacturing unit, MM: Plant is a storage of material unit. But to deliver goods to customers, a delivering plant has to be created. Shipping point is the starting point (& the org unit that controls) of outbound deliveries. Thus shipping point is assigned to Delivering plant.
This is also logical from a business process perspective!

Cant Assign Plant to Shipping Point

Dear Gurus,
I've defined my Plant then later defined my shipping points. When it came to OVXC I could not see my plant so therefore I could not assign my shipping points to it. What is the reason for this .. did I miss a step? Thanks in advance.

go to define plant and see whether ur plant is appearing there and whether u have maintained the address for the plant, if yes check whether u have maintained these things:
1.define sales org.
2.defien division
3.define sales office.
4.define shipping point.(check if u have maintained the address for the shipping point)
5.assign sales org. to company code
6.assign distribution channel to sales org.
7.assign division to sales org.
8.set up sales area
9.assign sales office to sales area
10.assign sales org, dist.channel to plant
11assign shipping point to plant

OVXC - Shipping Point assignment to plant problem

I have created a shipping point called: BER1 in EC02
When I want to assign it to my plant which I created earlier with the same name BER1 in OVXC, the system can't find the plant.
How is that possible when both structural objects have been created?

Delete Shipping point assignment with plant

In my current system there are a lot of shipping points assigned to Plants. It is taking a lot of time to delete them. Is there any easier way to delete all these assigments in bulk? Please let me know if there is any report that I can run inorder to delete them.

GO TO SPRO -> Enterprises structure -> Assignment -> Logestic Execution -> assign shipping point to site then search for plant and delet the shipping point which you don't want to keep,
and
SPRO -> Logestic Execution -> SHIPPING -> assign shipping point and delet the shiping points from shipping point determination

When creating PO, enter material master then press enter, client want to proposal shipping point automatically
for example, when create PO, enter material master, if the material master MRP2 view storage location is 1130, then proposal shipping point 7000 after press enter

And for your speciefict requirement activate shipping point determination on the basis of storage location

Here u can carry 2 activities
In this define rule as Strorage location speciefic shiping point detemination for delivery type
and next step assign shipping point according to storage location
