In CO82..
Menu path  Group -->maintain
In maintain number range group screen,
Group --> insert
Give text and from number and to number
say text = new order
range - 100000000000 to 199999999999 (tick ext check box if the range is external number range-manual input)

You can see your group at the end of list
In Not assigned group your new order type will be present
Place the curser on that order type and fallow the menu path as below
Edit -->select element
Select NEW order number range group check box
edit --> assign element group.
Now the number range is assigned to the new order. Save it, You will get a pop up, just ignore it.

  • Number ranges for order types

    Hi
I want to differenciate numbering of rework order type from the standard order type.Assign different number ranges to different order type.
    Shankar

    Hi Mr.Shankar,
    Please try out this,
<b>1.In OPJH - Define Order type,As u said you are copying from PP01 type, after copying change the name of the order type say for Eg for Rework ucan chage it as RW01 and save it.Again carryout the same step to create 2 more order types say TT02 and TT03.
2.In OPL8 - Define Order type dependent parameters,Enter the settings for the newly created order types for RW01,TT02,TT03 and save it.
3.In CO82,Define the number ranges for individual order types as explained by our friend ,If you want external number assignment then Include a tick mark against the check box for an order type save it.</b>
While using CO82,after going into the exact screen,in the top goto Group-Maintain groups (or else Press F6)and in the bottom of that page you will be able to see the newly created order types (which you have created) and now you can select the types and assign the number ranges in a different way for different order types.
I hope now the system allows you to assign number ranges as per you need.
If useful please reward your points

  • Exit for assigning external number range to sales document

    hello friends,
can anyone help with this issue.in tcode 'vn01' we are assiging internal number range but we dont want that number range that is external number range rather than using internal number for sales document.i.e the number range should start with 'ufc'followed by some number range.
plz reply as soon as possible .
    thanks and regards,
    siri

    Hi Sirisha,
I believe you can assign external number range manually by using transaction SNRO and then assign the number range before entering into the main screen of  VA01 or saving the document.
The number range is linked to the order type (VBAK-AUART), this is done in customizing.
For different sales area it need to have different number ranges for the same order type.
Please see that the same sales doument number should not be linked to several sales orders which are to be created,if I am not wrong

  • Number ranges for orders - divide an existing one/ add a new one

    Hello,
    following two problems:
    - We have an CO order number range from 4000000 to 4999999; these range is used for quality orders as well as maintainance orders (two different order types): Is there a way to divide this number range into 2 (so e.g. 4000000 - 4499999 and 4500000 - 4599999).
    - In addition we have to add a new number range for a totally new order type. Unfortunately I don't find any possibility to add one to the existing ranges (T-Code KONK/ Customizing) - where can I do this?
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    BR,
    hansi

    Hi,
In other words, you want to maintain number ranges as:
    4000000 - 4499999 : Quality orders
    4500000 - 4599999 : Maintenance orders
You can split the number range into two by changing the existing 'To number' from '4999999' to '4499999' and creating another number range for 4500000 - 4599999. Now, it is a question of unassigning Maitenance order type from numer range1 and assigning to new number range (4500000 - 4599999) which I don't think is possible.
As regards, creating new number range: KONK> Maintain groups (F6) > Group > Insert (F6)..give a text to the number range group and assign the number range. Once you have created the group assign your new order type to this number range group.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to change number range for document type ?

    Dear All
    Experts
How to change the number range for document types for entry view? I am trying to change the number range for all document type as per defined ranges in FBN1, but at the time of saving document type and number range the system is throwing error message as
Doc. type C1: Number range 07 is used for ledger L6 with doc. type AE
    Message no. FAGL_LEDGER_CUST093
I have defined a leading ledger in system too with these settings
    1)     Define ledger for accounting.
    2)     Defining currencies for it.
    3)     Defining ledger group for the same.
    4)     Defining accounting principles
    5)     Assignment of principles to leading ledger.
Are there any extra settings required for leading ledger settings?
I have some doubts those are :-
How document types defined at ledger level?
How to define them at leading ledger level?  (Like my case)
Focus on this will be appreciable.
    Regards,
    Sharvari Joshi.

    hi ,
The document numbers in the leading ledger and the non leading ledgers should be in sync, they should not have any differences, so incase you are trying to change the number range for C1, the  number range 07 is already been assigned to doc type AE. i guess you have cant use 07 for C1. may be you can try out with an other number range. check this and let me know if you are able to do this.
    coming to
1.How document types defined at ledger level?
2.How to define them at leading ledger level? (Like my case)
Ans 1. please try defining document types for entry view in a ledger.
path : SPRO- financial accounting new -financial accounting global settings new - document -document types -define document types for entry view in ledger.
upon prompt enter the ledger and go ahead creating the number ranges for the document types.
    Hope this helps.

  • Assign Specific Payer To Respective Order Type During Spliting

    Hi All,
Do anybody knows if there is a configuration which can assign specific customer number to the order type during spliting in DBM? Example; to assign customer # 123456 to order type 4000.
    Any advise?
    Regards,
    Ab Rahman

    Hi
right now you are able to determine the pricing relevant partner in order type 4000 dependant on the Account assignment category.
You find this under DB;_>Order_Account_Assignment _> Assign AccounT Assignment for Internal order
If you do this you can say in case of inernal order against a cost center use customer number 1234 and so on.
    Than the pricing is ok.
Never the less you still have to type in the Sold to party form the header.
If you want to change this have a look at the screen for Warranty splitt. Here there is a different handling  I think the logic is somewhere in the screen.
    Best regards

  • Guide in configuring number range by billing type in SD

    Hi gurus,
Hope you can assist me in configuring number ranges by billing type (e.g. F2, G2, L2, etc) in SD.  Our Accounting people find it hard to account the completeness of the transactions because we are only using one range for the RV (SD docs).  We would like to setup a separate series per billing type.
Your immedaite assistance is highly appreciated.
    Frances

    Dear Frances,
    1st Part
    Go to, T. Code: SNRO
    Insert, Object: RV_Beleg
and Click Tab: Number ranges (just above the Field: Object)
On to next screen, Click Tab: Intervals (with pencil-icon)
Here, maintain your Number ranges, that you wanna assign to your Billing Doc. Types, i.e. F2, G2, L2 etc..
    2nd Part
    Go to, T. Code: SM30
    Insert, Table/View:
and click Tab: Maintan (down, at screen)
On to next screen, maintain entries as:
Sales Org + Dist. Chnl + Sales Doc. Type (i.e. Billing Doc.) + IntNR (as maintained in 1st Step)

  • Assign a number range to the transaction in Logistics Invoice Verification

    Hi Experts,
There are two transaction types (RS and RD) in Logistics Invoice Verification.  We have assigned number range 01 to them.
Is it possible to assign multiple number range to a transaction type in Logistics Invoice Verification? If yes, how to do it?
Is it possible to create other transaction types? If yes, how to do it, and any risk?
    Appreciate your advices. Thanks.
    regards,
    April

    Hi April,
Im afraid it is not possible to set more than one number range to a transaction/document
type. To create different transaction/document types you can do this in transaction OBA7.
Then to set what default document types are used in a transaction you can set this in OMR4.
There should be no risk in creating extra document types as long as the description of each
one you create is clearly documented. For more info on number range assignment check out
    notes 452127, 193020 and 62077.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Adam.

  • Number range for order booking in CRM

cAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHERE WE HAVE MAITIAN NUMBER RANGE FOR ORDER BOOKING IN CRM
    tHANKS IN ADVANCE
    BJ

    Hi Bagavath,
The number intervals can be defined for activities, opportunities, sales and service transactions UNDER THE SAME PATH.
    IMG-CRM-Transactions-Basic settings-DEFINE NUMBER RANGES
    Note:
Within the Internet scenario, you should set internal number assignment for business transactions in the CRM system. For internal number assignment, the document number is automatically proposed by the system within a specific interval. Since the sales orders are transferred from the CRM system to the R/3 system, you should set external number assignment in the R/3 system -this means number assignment which is not proposed automatically by the system.
The interval for internal assignment in CRM should be the same as for external number assignment in R/3. In this way, you can make sure that the sales orders have the same number in the CRM system and the R/3 system.

  • Assign batch number from sale order to production order automatic

Dear all, I have a question for all. Please help me in this case
My scenario is make to order
I have a sale order, when i create sale order, i have assigned batch number at each line item.
When i run MRP for sale order (MD50), the system generate a planned order for it and I've converted to production order.
So when I view production order, I think that batch number what I've assigned to sale order will be assign to production order but that is not happen.
So, can you help me solve this problem. I think that sap can assign batch number from sale order to production order automatic but i don't know how to configure that
    Thanks all

    Hi,
To the best of my knowledge, when system is generating planned order / production order from sales order system doesnt copy batch number from sales order.
In fact , you are following wrong practice for generating batch no.
    Follow procedure like this :
Create sales order without any batch assigning there. Run MRP with MD50 and then convert planned order to Production Order.
While creation / releasing of Production order, you have option to generate batch automatically by following way :
Go to OPKP (Production Scheduling Profile) -> Take your plant & give suitable name to Production scheduling profile-> Batch Management tab -
    > Automatic Batch creation in the order maintain this field as
1     Automatic batch creation at order creation
    or
2     Autom. batch creation at order release
This will generate batch number automatically at the time of creation or release of order.
Then follow same process i.e. Goods Issue, Confirmation & GR for production order.
So you will get sales order stock in the form of batch managed.
Check & revert if any issue in above flow.
    Regards,
    Tejas
