Please can I have assistance in moving my Skype number. I have signed up with a local VoiP and Tv service provider and I like to keep my number from Skype. The number is 36965860 in Denmark and I'll provide all the necesarry details when needed. This number is on all my papers etc.

If you have the unlimited Europe landlines and mobile subscription you can forward your skype number to mobile phone at no cost. If you go abroad if you use a local sim depending on the country you are in France, Germany. UK, and I belive Italy and a few others you can forward at no cost. If you use your UK sim while roaming you will need skype credit and it will be expensive depending are where you are.

Canceling old Skype number

I just added a new Skype number for Wisconsin, and now I wish to cancel my old Skype number with a Cincinnati area code. How do I do that? I followed the instructions, but there is no "cancel Skype number" option under my old Cincinnati Skype number. I tried finding a phone number for Skype so that I could get a live voice to help me, but never found this. How can I cancel the old Skype number?

When you contact Skype Customer Service for assistance in cancelling the Skype Number subscription you no longer need, please report that you were unable to do so yourself, and report what you typed here!

I'd like to make a number for Australia.
I'm just wondering how many digits are in a Skype number? And what numbers is the Skype number likely to start with?

Such is the life of an on-line Community; sometimes people receive answers almost immediately, whilst others wait days for someone to happen by. Remember, the Community is not officialy a branch of Skype Customer Service as noted in the Community Guidelines
The answer to your enquiry is, it depends. What depends is the country you are calling and what their numbering conventions are. Check this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Country_calling_codes
Further, whether the Skype Number is a "local number" or not depends upon from where the person is located who is calling the Skype Number, which is a fixed line number. Ideally, you would take a Skype Number subscription nearest to where most of the people who would be calling it would incur no or as little in the way of toll charges as possible. Of note, for various reasons, Skype Numbers are not available everywhere and for some countries, not at all.

The Australian country code is 61. When calling from outside Australia, leave out the leading '0' from the STD area code or from the mobile telephone number.

Australia uses 8-digit local phone numbers preceded by a 2-digit STD area code.

Skype Number (#) - Receiving Calls Abroad

Hi,
I live in NYC and bought a NYC #.
I'm traveling to Morocco soon and I can't seem to quite figure out whether I will be able to have people contact me on the NYC Skype Number I bought.
Basically, I am hoping that people in NYC that wish to call me when I'm in Morocco will be able to do so, and only pay the local NYC rates (i.e., they won't be surprised when their Verizon bill says they called Africa and not NYC when they were dialing a 347 #).
Any advice?

assuming you have Skype on your smartphone, you do unless you want to incur huge roaming data charges from your cell carrier -- the same applies for outgoing Skype calls and Skype calls to landlines/mobiles

Yes.
You may have to call into Verizon Customer care if you have a smartphone to remove the data plan and help you move over. Other than that it's a simple swap between devices. Contract doesn't matter unless you negligent in payment(or the person who you bought the device from is).

Skype Number order stuck in 'Created' state

I ordered a Skype Number a few days ago now. I opted to pay for the order with Skype Credit (of which there is suffcient) but the order has remained stuck in the 'Created' state since and is not moving to 'Delivered'. What's up with that?

How to switch Skype number from 3-month plan to an...

A friend initially subscribed to 3-months Skype number plan. Now she would like to change to 1-year subscription. However, there does not seem to be any option to do this. The initial 3 months just passed and an automatic charge appeared on her payment card. There does not seem to be any "modify" subscription option (not even a "cancel" subscription option). There is no Skype/Microsoft support readily available. This is very bad experience for her and it seems to be rather common issue. I am actually surprised by this and have expected more from Skype/Microsoft. Any ideas about how to change the subscription?

As strange as this sounds, the short-term Skype Number contract needs to be cancelled. When the subscription ends, the Skype Number is held in reserve for a period of 90 days, during which timeframe the number can be renewed for an annual term.
If all else fails, please contact Skype customer service for further assistance. I would report to Customer Service that the renewal e-mails were not received - after checking that the account's registered e-mail address is correct! You would not believe the number of enquiries I read where a Skype account's registered e-mail address has fallen into disuse, not updated, and therefore resulting in no communications received from Skype.

My skype number not working with new subscription

My 1st subscription was cancelled due to an expired credit card. Unable to update credit card info, I was forced to open a 2nd subscription. I need to connect my skype phone number to the 2nd subscription.

Additional information added: can the Skype number (formerly known as Online Number) be reached from a land or fixed line? If yes, can the number be reached from a mobile phone? If not, then the issue is different - the wireless carrier may not be recognizing the number.

Need to Immediately Deactivate a Skype Number

I purchased a Skype number that turns out to have been previously owned by a scam operation and is still receiving calls. I alreaday purchased a second Skype number to replace it, and canceled the first number.
The problem is that the first number is still active until the end of the subscription in 2015.
How can I deactivate this number immediately? I don't expect a refund, I just want it to go away now. I really don't want to shut down the entire Skype account and lose my Skype name just to deactivate a phone number.

My Skype Number is going to be deactivated?

Hello,
I recieved a email two days ago saying that my skype number will be deactivated in the next two days. Today is the last day to renew it. Skype must have tried to charge my pay pal account since that was the last time how I paid for it. I switch over to my card so it can be billed, but it doesn't allow you to pay for it. It just allows you to change your billing method. This number is what I use for my office line and any assistance in this matter will be appreciated. Thanks!

... please note that the Skype Number will not "ring busy" - if you are using Skype, incoming calls would be diverted according to your Tools -> Options settings. The Skype Number provides a phone number for people to reach you, but the number has nothing to do with outbound calls you place.

My Skype number is not working. No sounds, No rin...

I really haven't needed it so I have not tried it in months. But, I tried to add this number to my paypal account and found it wasn't working. Then I tried to call it. No sounds at all. No ringing, no busy signal - nothing.
I will not post my number here as you should be able to see my number from my account.
Please fix asap.
