At a loss for a solution
I've been at this since Wednesday. Five days now, for about 4-8 hours a day.
The low-down-
-on Wed. I updated to iTunes 5 from 4.9. When 5 started up I connected my iPod and was told that I needed to update my iPod software, so I did from v2.2 to v2.3. Then iTunes 5 begain to update my iPod with my iTunes library. It got to around song 280 and freezes up on me with the info window in iTunes stuck flashing between "updating iPod do not discounect" and "uploading song 280 of 2154: Name of song" From here I've gotten different error messages here is what they were.
1-"attempting to copy to disk "Ricky Woodson's iPod" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."
2-"Some of the songs in the iTuens music library including the song "name of song" were not copied to the iPod, because they could not be found."
the first message is the one I still continue to get. I've changed all my songs to Mp3s and deleted all none mp3 files.
I've called apple and they've had me do everything from delete and re-install to restore my iPod, to deleteing my entire iTunes library and then going to iTuens File menu and then "add to library" and then select my entire harddrive. iTuens then imported all the sounds off of my harddrive. This still didn't work. Then I found a thread on discussion forums where someone said I should delete the iPodDriver.kext from extensions, so I did. Then I couldn't get my iPod Updater to see my iPod when it was plugged in. I had to get pacifer to download the iPodDrive.kext extension file agian (reinstalling iTuens and iPod updater did now install the software)
Next I did an arcive and install of my OS system, which is Tiger by the way.
Then I update all my software and re-install iTunes and the 9-9-2005 iPod updater and give it another go...still no luck. But now I can use the restore button in iPodUpdater to wipe my iPod
In my last ditch effort I even tried to erase my ipod using disk utility and then restoring the software using iPod Updater. Nope this didn't work either. I'm in need of help. I'm willing do try anything because basically my iPod is worthless now. reduced to being a highly designed over priced paper weight. These problems only begun the day I upgraded to iTuens 5 and iPod v2.3 and Quicktime 7.0.2 Someone please help.

I've sorted my problem out but I wouldn't exactly call it a solution. I'll run through all the steps I took... not sure if you need to do all of them, but just in case... and hopefully you'll be able to sort yours out too. I think it's actually problem with iTunes 5 which they haven't sorted yet. Anyway, here's what I did.
1) Removed all music from my library on iTunes
2) Uninstalled iTunes
3) Restored my iPod using the latest updater
4) Reinstalled iTunes
5) Added music back to library
6) Set it to "Automatically sync with the iPod" (I normally just drag the library over to it)
7) Connected up iPod and it started copying over songs.
8) When the error message "Attempting to copy to the dish Simon's iPod failed. The disk could not be written to." obviously came up again! I clicked ok and waited for it to say it was ok to remove the iPod. I then disconnected iPod for 30 secs then reconnected and it started syncing again from where it had left off. This happened again about 7 times but repeated the steps each time and eventually got all music (with artwork) on the iPod. Although 7 times is still not great, it's better than the 50 times I had before... this is for 4000 songs so it may happen more or less for you.
I definitely think this is a screw up in iTunes. As you can see this isn't really a solution but a temporary fix to deal with their screw up! I can't believe they don't get rid of all the bugs before they launch software. Anyways, I hope that helps you in the short term. Be sure to let me know if you find anything more long term! Good luck

the difference between the 2 is one is a subsidized price with a contract of 2 year commitment. Which is locked to AT&T.
the other one is the no commitment, which means it is still locked to AT&T but that you don't renew your contract that way.
Either way All iphones in US are carrier locked to AT&T and it can not be unlocked at all. -
When I click on the itunes shortcut or the program I get the following message:
ITunes has stopped working. My two options are: Windows can check on line for a solution to the problem or close the program.
It seems that my entire library is not there. If I sync my ipod will it add it back into my library on the computer?
I've even tried installing again and nothing works. Tried the "repair" and it says that ITunes is loaded but I stil get the above error when I try to open the program.

Every time I TRY to start firefox 18-19 I get an error message : "Firefox has stopped working" - "close the program and check online for a solution" - or - "close the program" this happens TWICE every time I try to start firefox. Eventually after a random number of tries firefox will start normaly. I am useing firefox 19.0.2 now bit I belive it started when I upgraded to firefox 18 but am not sure, it might have been when I upgraded to firefox 19 ... but it has been happening for a very long time and I cannot find any helpfule solutions online.

Question for installing Solution Manager & ECC 5.0
Any idea for installing Solution Manager 3.2 on Windows server 2003 with Oracle9i problem when install Database Instance. Installation failed when the intallation progress went to Oracle Post-Load Action.

After taking days to upload elements 13 I am now having trouble even trying to import my images and videos into the program for editing. Each time I IMPORT files an error message comes up that says " ....has stopped working, we are looking for a solution to the problem and will notify you if a solution is found" I have not been able to edit ANYTHING or even drag files/images to the time line.... is it me? is my computer too slow? surely if it was, then Adobe elements 13 would not have installed in the first place? please someone help me sort this out as I have a deadline to make for a docco! thanks in advance Lyddy

Firefox is my default browser on my new laptop, with OS Windows 7. I've now had several instances where a Windows popup comes up saying Firefox has developed a problem and may have to close. It also indicates Windows "is looking for a solution to the problem." No solution is found, however, and Firefox is forced to close, with the happy notice that Windows will let me know if it finds a solution to the problem. If there is any tech data on the crash, I'm not sure where to find it, and no Firefox crash report window comes up. I thought it was an anomaly the first time, but this has now occurred at least 4 times in the past several days.

WRT54G2 DNS errors when connecting online to PS3... at a loss for ideas...
Im having dns problems ever since PSN went back online and i cannot connect to the internet with my PS3 or log onto PSN. At first i would get dropped as soon i joined an online game, and it was running very slowly, but now it wont connect at all.
Wired works perfectly. Wireless wont work.
If i use automatic setup then the ip address fails.
If i manually set everything then the ip address passes but the internet connection fails and i get a dns error.
Signal strength is 100% and i have a Linksys WRT54G2 router. (worked perfect 2+ years until this week)
I have Roadrunner cable modem.
I did ipconfig/all and enetered all numbers from there and didnt work.
I used standard dns like google and such and those didnt work.
Im seriously at a loss for ideas. Is my router broken? Please can anyone help?I don't think it's necessarily your router. I've encountered the same problem on my WRT54GC and I used OpenDNS. But it gave me all sorts of problems with different websites so I had to take it out and use manual DNS. I used all sorts of combinations through until I got 4.2.2.2 to work.
EDIT: also, try going in to your router's setup page and click Status. Take note of the DNS values and use those in setting up your PS3. -
Error message: "Warning: unresponsive script". Afterward, the system freezes and will then crash. Crash reports have been submitted many, many times without response. I have tried the fore-mentioned solutions with either no results or very bad results which I filed a report but did not receive an answer. The application to block scripts actually worsened the problem and I could not correct the situation for a while (no response from Firefox, at all). I have also been through this procedure without any one contacting me, AT ALL.

Everything seems fine until I try to access the ITunes store. Then I get a message that ITunes has stopped working and that Windows is looking for a solution. Then it tells me that no solution has been found and closes down Itunes.
I can still sync music / podcasts to my ipod and iphone. I am still getting podcast downloads automatically for the ones I have subscribed to.

"Display PDF in Browser" setting - $500 reward for the solution
The corporate policy requires the "Display PDF in Browser" setting to be unchecked for all applications, this is to open the PDF document in new reader instance but our specific application needs the reader to be opened in the same browser even if the preference "Display PDF in Browser" is unchecked.... The setPreference from javascript (html) doesn't seemed to work... How do i make this work? I am looking for programatic way to set this preference in HTML javasript or Java Applet or ActiveX or any other means. I am currently using JS and Object tag, the only functions that we need at this point are page navigation and getting current page using JS.
Also, I need the links the browser to open in new browser once the PDF is loaded... do I need to reset the preference once it is loaded for the links to open in new browser? How can this be progrmatically achieved without altering the original PDFs?
I realize that this may be difficult and am looking for workarounds or alternate solutions to meet my req. $500 for anyone who could can provide solution.. Please email me [email protected]

Bridge CC on opening gives "Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working" Uninstalled, re-installed same error, will not run. "check online for a solution" does nothing.
Bridge worked great for a while then started to fail when starting. Old Bridge CS6 still works fine. HELP ... please.You problem is in the Fault Module MSVCR80.dll

My Mac Mini (v10.6.8) does not acknowledge my iphone as a device in iPhoto, Image Capture, iSync or Preview although, iTunes does. I am at a loss for importing photos other than emailing them to myself. Same problem with my iphone 4, iphone 4s, ipad2 and New iPad. Is this a problem with OS X 10.6.8 as I read some posts claim? Please help.
I was able to import photos in iPhoto and Image capture when I was running SL 10.6.8 on my older MacBook.
Did you try quitting everything, restart the Mac and then try again?
Are there any updates at all for the Mac? I was helping one user not all that long ago and there were updates for her Mac software that had nothing to do with the OS and when she downloaded the updates - the iPad was then recognized in iTunes.
