At bottom of the page Report section Text is not adjusting.

hi.
i am having one problem.
ie.
i put one report section at under detail section of main report
in report section again i put sub report in sub report at details section i put one field data is comming from the data base.
this sub report field is having some data how much of data no body does not know.
my problem is that.
exactly this sub report is comming at first page page footer..
plz have a look on below image..
it is comming good at new page..
what i need is some data has to occupy at first page based upon page space
remaining will come into next page.
Any solutions... plz update me..

hi I have a report where I need a page footer which show e-mail address and company location etc this is working ok I have details that can vary from 1 to 30 item I have some terms and conditions that have to go on the report
on the last page weather it is the first or last page. (not every page ) ( at present on the report footer) what I am struggling with is if I have I line item the footer goes up next to the line item therefore looks silly if

How to get the report summary to the bottom of the page?

Hi all. Does anyone know how can I get the report summary to
stick to the bottom of the page, like the page footer? Basically, I
have a report that displays line items on an order. At the end of
the report, there is a signatory section or acknowledgment. If I
stick this in the page footer, then it displays at the bottom of
the page, but on every page. If I put it on the report footer, than
it follows immediately after the details, and not at the bottom of
the page. What I need is the report footer to be at the bottom of
the last page.
Any ideas?

a page number. I am having problems with getting the report footer
contents to be at the bottom of the last page. The closest solution
I have found is to put the content in the page footer, and then
hide the page footer until the last page. However, this leaves
whitespace on all of the other pages, which isn't ideal. I really
need an attribute that allows me to set the report footer to print
at the bottom of the page, like the page footer.

The cursor cannot be placed on the text at the bottom of the page

I have a very long document that I'm working on. The latter pages are behaving strangely. When I scroll down big blocks of grey appear between pages, when I try to place the cursor on a line of text at the bottom of the page it simply won't stick.

I am not sure what the problem is but it is something being reported by others.
Personally I do not trust longer documents in Pages, it may be advisable to break them up into smaller documents and simply continue the page numbers on in subsequent document.

There are different templates for iPhoto books and they differ from version of iPhoto to iPhoto, so explore the other options.

Automaticly showing the name of the report on bottom of the page

I have so many reports that have been created in CR. I print all my CR reports through Planit so I don't accesses them through CR while printing. To figure which report is being used I need to look in Plant then go to MS Access which has the list where Plant ties in the name from CR.
Anyway...
I just want to have the file name printed on the bottom of the page, I hope there is a variable already setup in CR.. I didn't see one. If not I will manually type in all the names..

Hi,
   If you want to print the path along with the file name then drag and drop the special field "File path and Name" into the page footer.
If you want to pint only the file name then
   Goto > File > Summary Info.> Title . Enter the report file name.
   Now drag teh special field Report title onto your report in teh report footer or page footer where you wanted to display.

When I'm on microsoft word and typing and get to the bottom of the page a new page doesn't just come up, i have to manually put it there so then when i go back and add stuff to the first page i loose whatever was at the bottom. how do i stop this?

When I'm on microsoft word on my macbook air and get to the bottom a the page, a new page does not come up. i have to manually insert one. so then when i go back to edit my work and add something in what ever was at the bottom of the page disappears. how can i stop this from happening or change it so a new page opens by itself?

It sounds like you have chosen a publishing template rather than a word processing template. There are two basic modes in MS Word: word processing and publishing layout. Word processing mode (and all word processing templates) have a continuous text box in the page for writing text. The publishing layout mode (and publishing templates) are documents that have text boxes placed for articles, titles, pictures, etc. Be sure to choose the word document template and you’ll get what you expect. Do not choose the word publishing document.

Printing on the bottom of the page...

I'm working on a Dunning letter report that has a remit slip. The remit slip needs to always print on the bottom of the page. Is there a way to force a frame to always print at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it worked the same way as when I anchored the objects from the top of frame B to the bottom of frame A.
There are two problems that make this a little harder then it looks. One of the problems is that this a modification to the Oracle Apps Dunning Letter report. We do not want to loose too much of the vanilla stuff. So the main repeating frame incloses everything. The second problem is that there is data in the bottom frame. So it has to be in the repeating frame or I can't show the data that I need.
Thanks for the try, but it seems like this is just something that Oracle can't handle. If it could I would think Oracle would have done it in the first place. Just my guess. I'm still open to try any other suggestions you have.

Footer at the bottom of the page in Smartforms

Hi All,
I need to print some Sales data and then a hard coded paragraph at the end of last page of the print out n Smartform.
Now the problem is:
1. If I put that paragraph in the footer then it prints as soon as the data ends in main window and not at the bottom of the page. Eg : If the data ends at the 5 line of the second page then the paragraph is printed immediately after that and not at the bottom.
2. If I put it in another window and give the option only after end of main window then except the last page that space for that window is empty and if I try to overlap main window then even on the last page if the data is till end of that page main window data gets overlapped on the hardcoded paragraph.
Please help me on the issue.

Solution: The issue faced after overlapping the main window with footer window can be achieved by creating a folder within the main window and using the events to check whether there is enough space to print the footer.
Following are the steps.
Step 1: Create a Secondary window say “Footer” which would be the footer window. Overlap the main window on the footer window as shown below.
The footer window will be behind the main window
Step 2: Create a folder within the main window say “Check_Footer”.
Go to Tab “Events”, select the checkbox “Footer with Height” and give the required height of the footer. Select the checkbox “at End of Table”. Specify the “Minimum height” as required.
Now, go to “Conditions” tab and select the checkbox “Only before end of main window”.
This is basically done to check whether there is enough space to print the footer on that page. The Footer window would then print the output.
Step 3: Go to the created “Footer” window .Under the Conditions tab, select the checkbox “Only after end of main window”. Create a text/tamplate/window whatever you want to display at bottom or footer data.
Step 4: Save & Activate the Smartform and check the output.

Absolute placement of a row at the bottom of the page

I have a tablix which is like an invoice and i need to have the last few rows to stay at the bottom of the page. It is all one tablix the middle row which list the invoice items should not shrink. I can set the row's property Can Shrink to No and increase
the middle row so the last row stay at the bottom but that won't help because the when the number of items increase the table will split even though there is space. The invoice list can be 1 or 9 but the middle row should stay the same and last but 1 row (above footer) should be at the bottom of the page. I cannot make the last row in the footer because the whole tablix is connected.
Please let me know if there's a way. I have attached a sample below.

Based on my understanding, you want to display the last row of a tablix at the bottom of each page, right?
In Reporting Services, the content of the report body will display from the top to bottom as much as possible. In your scenario, since the tablix can only display on the report body and the page footer is enabled, the last row of the tablix can’t display
at the bottom of the page. However, you can change the body size and page size as a proper value, then make the tablix and page footer fill the whole page. So that the last row of the tablix is the closest to the bottom of page except the page footer.

Footnotes at the bottom of the page

For anyone interested – putting the above title in the search window didn't produce anything I mean. And I welcome better ideas. I work with a Dutch language version, so I hope I use the right terms.
Working on juridical textbooks with hundreds of sometimes long footnotes, I sometimes come to the next problem. It is possible to automatically let long footnotes break over two pages (see other threads to get explained how). But suppose there is another footnote marker a little after the 'long' one. This seems a bit too much for Indesign. Both markers and both footnotes go to the next page, leaving a big white gap, in mid-paragraph, at the bottom of the preceeding page.
My solution:
- cut the second footnote marker;
- add the right footnote number as normal text (probably in superscript) at that spot;
- paste the footnote marker at the end of the top paragraph on the next page;
- make a text style with text color set to paper (white);
- apply this text style to the pasted footnote marker.
Now it looks like the footnote marker is on the first page, and the entire footnote is on the second page (the real footnote marker is invisible). If in a later stage footnotes are added or text overruns, you can easily look for the 'white' text style to adapt things.
You can also use this trick when there is either space for the marker or for the footnote text at the bottom of a page but not for both, leaving at least one white line (although to the most of us, that will sound less urgent).
But of course it would be nice if Adobe solves this in a future version (I already suggested them to do so.)

An 8 line footnote will not normally take 8 lines of text: usually, the
type size is smaller and so is the leading in footnotes.
Personally, I don't mind a gap of up to 4 text lines or so if necessary
to keep the footnote indicator and the start of the footnote on the same
page (obviously, once the footnote starts on the page, it can flow on to
the next page; and this InDesign can cope with!). Although I would never
have such a gap in the middle of paragraph normally, in this case,
because there is also a footnote at the bottom of the page, it does not
stand out so much to my eye.
I didn't know that Word allows what you say. I'm surprised that it does.
This is what the Chicago Manual of Style (15th ed.) has to say about
your problem: "In a work containing many long footnotes, it may be
difficult to fit them onto the pages they pertain to, especially in an
illustrated work. A basic requirement for all footnotes is that they at
least begin on the page on which they are referenced. Several long
footnotes with their references falling close together toward the end of
a page present a major problem in page makeup. There is also the matter
of appearance; a page consisting almost exclusively of footnotes is
daunting. For some remedies, see 16.36–40."
And the first remedy (16.36): "Avoiding overlong footnotes: Lengthy,
discursive notes should be reduced or integrated into the text..."
Obviously, nobody can force you to take this advice. But you're asking
the InDesign team to spend days and or months of programming to
accommodate your editor or publisher's bad practice in allowing such
long footnotes in the first place, despite what I think is a consensus
that apart from the "daunting look," this will also cause "a major
problem in page makeup." And your solution is to have the footnote begin
on a different page from its text indicator, whereas Chicago says "A
basic requirement for all footnotes is that they at least begin on the
page on which they are referenced." Many readers would, I think, agree
with that assertion!
Anyway, the more flexibility the better, as far as I'm concerned. But I
seems to me that it's wrong to expect the InDesign team to offer a
solution to a problem that is caused by bad editorial practice. Fix the
editors, not the programmers!

Safari 3 backspace goes back space does to bottom of the page

when im in a text input box such as google search and i say for example make a mistake, but when i hit delete (backspace) to delete the mistake it goes back like when you hit the back button in the browser. can someone please help me fix this. also when i hit the spacebar it sometimes goes to the bottom on the page. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me.

Just to be clear, are you editing text on a page, or just viewing the page?
If just viewing the page, is it going to the very last page in a multipage site, or down 1 page at a time. One page at a time is expected behaviour. Most browsers do this.
If you are editing text, check that you don't have some incompatible Safari helper applications installed. Go to these 2 locations and move anything present in them onto your Desktop to deactivate them:
/Users/YourUsername/Library/Input Managers/
/Library/Input Managers/
Restart Safari to pick up the change. If it works now, you can try moving the items back one by one until you find the culprit.

Embedded Images moved to the bottom of the page

Images on some pages are all being moved to the bottom of the page when displayed.

The image is not in the top left corner of the text, but at the bottom under the text - - - but only on some pages.
See GemAndMineralInfo.com - the home page loads correctly, but the Gemstone page which uses the same basic format has all images moved to the bottom of the page in FireFox.

How do I get rid of the very annoying "find" tab that appears on the bottom of the page constantly???

Whenever I try to type "anything anywhere", even after I have clicked on the appropriate place to search, a search box appears on the bottom of the page with a "find" option, and my search goes there instead of the actual place it should go to. Every time I have to X out of that box; and next time I search for something same problem happens.
This is a VERY annoying feature, and I have not been able to disable it. I am not sure why you have created such feature, and what you are trying to accomplish.

You have probably turned on an accessibility feature, if so that is easily turned off again

How do I stop all those annoying, very thin popup banners that show up at the bottom of the page? I am tired of these unwanted banners.

At the very bottom of most pages, I get these thin, annoying banners all the time. They relate to so many different things it is difficult to list them all. From Facebook page info to adverts. They do have a very small x at the end (be careful which x you chose) that will close them down but not all can be done away with. Some just fold to the side of the page. I still do not want these annoying banners.
How do I get rid of them? I've tried everything listed on the help pages and nothing is working.

Some websites have these banners programed into the website so that they are not detected by AdBlock Plus.
I looks at your plugins and I am wondering if maybe it if the Facebook Video Calling Plugin.
Try disabling this plugin to see if the issue will go away.
If you have another internet browser try this to see if it is a Firefox extension/plugin or just the website:
# Open a webpage with a banner on Firefox
# Open the same webpage in a different browser (eg. Chrome, IE, Opera, etc.)
Report back and tell me if there were banners on both browsers or just one. Also, please post a link of a website with a banner.
NOTE: Screenshots can be added on the support forum, via the Browse... button. Because of viruses and malware always being a threat, people are less likely to open the links with the pictures because of the infection threat.
