AT200 pairing with Bluetooth Mouse

I've just bought an AT200 tablet, my first Android device which i've upgraded to ICS (Android v4.02)
I'm trying to pair a bluetooth mouse with the tablet. Like many bluetooth devices, the mouse requires no passcode, but when I try to pair with it Android insists that I enter a passcode, until i do the "OK" is greyed out.
Ive tried 0000 , 1234, and lots of others but nothing works, since the mouse insists on No Passcode.
In Windows its easy because the windows bluetooth interface has a "No Passcode" option, but this isn't present in Android
Anyone have any ideas of a work round?

Hello AT200owner
sorry I can't help you with your BT mouse but what I find most interesting about your post is that you have been lucky to upgrade to Android 4.02.
It would be very kind of you if you could shortly answer my questions which I guess are very important for European owners of the AT200, too
Am I right in assuming that you have simply upgraded through Toshiba's Service Station app?
Does your AT200 support any other languages (e.g. German ,French, Spanish) besides English?
Do you think everything is running smooth with Android 4?
Thank you very much in advance!

  • IPhone6 won't pair with BlueTooth on MBPro

    IPhone6, iOS 8.1.1 won't pair with BlueTooth on MBPro nor can I use it as Blue Tooth "hands free" device in my car. Blue Tooth is enabled on the phone and on the MBPro.  I try to "connect to network" on the iPhone, using BT preferences on the MBPro, but get the message "can't connect" . On the MBPro, have gone to Sys. Pref., Network, can see the phone but again get the same message when I try to connect.
    On the phone under the green button (which enables) the BlueTooth, I see the word "other devices" and a spinning beach ball as the phone tries to find additional devices but no joy.
    Have Googled the problem, am reading similar issues - people seem to think it was the new iOS 8.0 and 8.1.1 was supposed to be a fix but it isn't.  Any thoughts out there would be much appreciated.

    Great - finally got our iPhones6 "discoverable" on our car. Whew!!!  Thank you so much.
    But, still can't pair our iPHone with my MBPro.  Follwed directions on your link but no joy....<sigh>
    The MBPro does NOT find the iPhone device. Don't know why......
    However, the biggest problem is solved, hopefully.....that being the car/phone connection.
    Appreciate the assistance.
    thx

  • Closed lid with Bluetooth Mouse

    I would like to use my powerbook with the lid closed. I know to do this, you have to have a mouse and display connected before closing the lid, otherwise the powerbook will just go to sleep.
    If I buy and use the Bluetooth mouse for this purpose, will it work, or does it have to be a corded mouse?
    Also, if it will work, can I then turn the Mouse off when not using it, and then turn it back on to start working again or will the computer go to sleep when the mouse if turned off?
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Yes a bluetooth mouse will work for this. All you have to do is first pair the mouse with the computer and connect the display. Then close the PowerBook to put it to sleep. Then just click the mouse to wake your computer back up. I would recommend an external keyboard as well, unless you have something else up your sleeve.
    For you second question your PowerBook will not go to sleep when a bluetooth mouse or keyboard (or both) are turned off. They will simply not be functional but will reconnect after turning them on.

  • Problems with Bluetooth mouse following Lion upgrade

    I upgraded my MacBook Pro from Snow Leopard to Lion, this morning, and now my Kensington Bluetooth mouse, which I have been using for nearly 2 years, has stopped working. The upgraded MacBook now only registers a connection with the mouse if it is held within about 10cm of the system, but even then it doesn't respond to any movements of the mouse. I have previously been using the mouse quite happily from a distance of about 50cm.
    Is this a known problem associated with Lion?

    Well, after 2 days of completely refusing to work, the mouse suddenly requested Bluetooth pairing, and has worked ever since. I don't know why it took 2 days, though.

  • Tracking problem with Bluetooth mouse..

    I recently changed batteries in my Bluetooth wireless mouse... I've done that many times in the past without incident... But this time something strange happened... I used to run the tracking speed setting at the second notch up from slow but now that is lightning fast. Even the next setting down, the first notch up from slow, is too fast... And the slowest setting is ironically too slow which means if I try to move the mouse across the screen at what I would consider a normal speed, the mouse jumps back left as I move right, meaning I am overwhelming the control system... The point is something changed and I can't imagine what... These new batteries are now down a notch from top power meaning they are not new anymore but still the lowest notch is too slow and the next one up is too fast... My real question is what could have changed?? I am running 10.4.6 and I don't believe I had changed anything other than the batteries from before to after the problem started... Any thoughts???? thanks... bob..

    Today I received a letter from Apple, a very strange letter that had no heading or address and didn't say "Apple", all it had was the Apple logo. But from the postmark on the envelope I could see it was posted in Cork, Ireland.
    The letter confirmed that they had received my proof of purchase and that they would arrange for me to be send a replacement.
    The letter said they had tried to call me but could not get through. This is FALSE. Anyone who ever calls me can always get through (although at times, they may get my voicemail). Nobody from Apple left any messages on my voicemail.
    The letter gave me a Case Number and said to call their "Technical Support Team".
    When I called the number they gave 0870 8760753 I was offered a number of options, NONE OF WHICH covered my reason for calling, so I chose the seemingly nearest option to it.
    I found myself talking to something with an Indian accent so thick and heavy that I could barely understand him, and I am used to Indian accents.
    He seemed very tired or sleepy; certainly on taking my call he seemed to be settling himself in for some kind of long haul.
    Very slowly and hesitantly he started asking me for all kinds of details about me. As I gave him each piece of information he asked me for, he kept interrupting during the process that that I had to repeat myself several times. I had to interrupt him to tell him I had a Case Number (he had not asked me for one).
    He took my Case Number , and paused for a long time, then said "well....Mr. -, this is about a Bluetooth Mouse, yes?"
    Brilliant.
    He seemed to think the pair of us were going to spend a long time negotiating about something.
    He said he would need to go and speak to his supervisor. I waited on the line for 10 (repeat TEN) minutes.
    He came back "Well, Mr. -....I need to check all your details".. including all my credit card details....very slowly and repeating everything twice.
    Several exasperating minutes later I THINK I had convinced him that he had all my details and that he needed to have a new mouse sent to me.
    He said that when the new mouse comes (THINKS...if it comes) via UPS, I must send the dead one back to them within 10 days or they will charge me for the new one. I said what happens if I don't (because this is the summer and I might be out of the country on holiday).
    "That is the procedure".
    I replied "so you have all the information you need now and you are going to send me the mouse, yes?"
    "yes".
    ---long silence---
    I said "IS that the end of the telephone conversation?"
    "yes."
    "OK thanks, goodbye"-

    If you buy an Apple wireless mouse and it dies on you, consider if you really badly need to have it replaced by Apple. HOw much time do you have to waste?

  • How can I get my computer to pair with my Mouse or Trackpad?

  • Problem with bluetooth mouse setup at startup and no usb mouse functions

    Today for the first time ever I got this screen for bluetooth mouse setup at startup. I've never seen this before and have no bluetooth devices. Very weird! It continues to search for a blue tooth mouse and won't let me do anything.The window says "Pairing with your bluetooth mouse.If the mouse is not found, make sure it is discoverable" My generic usb scroll mouse will not function and has always worked fine in the past. I tried plugging in the stock apple usb mouse also and this doesn't function either so there is no way to cancell this out. I've restarted several times and no luck ,can't login and no mouse functions. Just continues to search for a bluetooth mouse . This has me worried as this is recording studio computer and I have a session tomorrow . Any ideas how to get this to bypass this bluetooth window so I can startup and login and get my mouse functions back.
    thanks,Craig

    Solved it on my end... Hope you're not afraid of using some Unix programming...
    I went into Unix mode (start up holding command key and s-key down). black screen with lines of white type pop up. (Means you are now in Unix mode). Give it a few minutes to check all the computer and when it no longer keeps adding any further info on screen type "fsck -fy", that is fsck space minus sign fy and without the quotation marks - exactly as shown inside quotation marks, and hit enter. It will run for several minutes detecting all that makes your computer work... I had in the final lines a message that read "file system modified". If this is the case than re-enter the fsck -fy command. Repeat this until one of the final lines will read "the volume appears to be OK". (I only had to do it twice to get to it). At this stage type "reboot". My mac restarted and I could log in without any sign of the annoying bleutooth mouse message. Hope it will work for you too!

  • AT300-100 - Connection problems with bluetooth mouse

    I am having problems connecting a bluetooth mouse to my toshiba AT300-100 tablet.
    The tablet and the mouse are able to successfully pair with each other. The tablet asks for the password, I enter 0000 and the two devices successfully pair up with each other.
    I then ensure that the mouse is selected as an input device (click on the mouse settings icon in the Bluetooth screen). I receive no errors at any point. However, there is no mouse pointer on the screen, the mouse buttons have no effect, and the scroll wheel has no effect.
    I have Googled and searched this forum, I can not find a reference to this problem elsewhere. Please advise. It appears to be an O/S bug as far as I can tell.
    Looking on youtube I see the Asus tablet works fine with a mouse and I am following the exact same procedure. I have used the mouse on my Toshiba tecra with no problems at all, so I know the mouse is working just fine.
    Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution?
    Thank you.
    Mark

    Hi
    Did you solve this issue?
    Are you abele to use the BT mouse connected to AT300?
    In the description of AT300 its mentioned that you can use Virtual Mouse connected via BlueTooth or USB port.
    Check the settings in Language & Input Android area.
    There should be a point called Keyboard & Input Mouse
    If you have more than one installed input device, tap Configure input methods to open the screen where you can configure each input method.

  • My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with bluetooth audio receiver?

    My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with my aluratech istream universal bluetooth audio receiver.  It automatically paired the first time I used it, but now will not pair.  I removed the bluetooth receiver from the ipod because it kept saying make sure the receiver device is on and within range.  Now it doesn't even detect the bluetooth receiver.  Any ideas?

    Thank you!  We got the bluetooth receiver to use with our car stereo and our motorcycle stereo and were very frustrated when it quit working.  Thank you for helping me solve the problem!

  • Cannot click and drag with bluetooth mouse?

    I have installed bluetooth mouse and works fine but cannot click and drag using the mouse in any applications. will highlight stuff and cursor moves fine but then cannot drag using the mouse. Any ideas?

    I was trying with this code which I got from this website as I am beginner of AS3.
    var images:MovieClip = images_mc;
    var offsetFrame:int = images.currentFrame;
    var offsetX:Number = 0;
    var offsetY:Number = 0;
    var percent:Number = 0;
    images.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN,startDragging);
    images.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,stopDragging);
    function startDragging(e:MouseEvent):void
    images.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE,drag);
    offsetX = e.stageX;
    offsetY = e.stageY;
    function stopDragging(e:MouseEvent):void
    images.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE,drag);
    offsetFrame = images.currentFrame;
    function drag(e:MouseEvent):void
    percent =  (e.stageX - offsetX)/images.width;
    percent =  (e.stageY - offsetY)/images.height;
    var frame:int = Math.round(percent*images.totalFrames) + offsetFrame +1;
    while (frame>images.totalFrames)
      frame -=  images.totalFrames;
    while (frame<=0)
      frame +=  images.totalFrames;
    images.gotoAndStop(frame);
    This has to rotate in top also i.e., I also have images sequence placed with top view also.
    If I use keyboard, it has to work with arrow keys also and also with mouse interactivity.

  • MacBook not pairing with Bluetooth Audio Sink Typhoon

    I did not have success trying to get my MacBook to pair with a Typhoon Bluetooth Audio Receiver Set (http://www.typhoon.de/en/art.php?p=1523&pv=3 ).
    The Typhoon device claims to be a A2DP-SNK (stereo audio sink) .
    My MacBook (10.4.8 up to date, with a Bluetooth-MightyMouse) Bluetooth-Assistant finds it in "Search-all"-Mode and labels it as "BT Receiver", and also finds it if I search for Headsets alone.
    But after that, it just sits there and "collects additional information.", which "should take only seconds".
    There is no timeout on this, no error message is given either.
    Actually, with this Audio-Receiver came an Audio-Transmitter (a USB-BT-Dongle). Connecting this with a MacBook USB-Port does not result in any reaction of the machine.
    The BT-Dongle should be able to do most BT-profiles, including GAP,SPP,HSP,HID and A2DP.
    The System.log does not show anything, except for a "kernel[0]: (3795: ps)tfp: failed on 0:" happening every 3 seconds continually.
    I'm hoping for any ideas... Or should I dump this device?
    Did anyone of you get an audio-sink (with Line-Out) working with OSX?
    Thanks,
    visioneer7

  • Centro has to be paired with bluetooth each time before i can use it

    i have a at&t centro and a motorola h700 bluetooth which is on the compadibility list online. i pair my bluetooth just fine and it goes on my trusted list. my problem is that after awhile usually overnight my bluetooth device(the h700) disappears and i have to re-pair it everyday and sometimes multiple times a day. this is a real pain and becuase of this i got a ticket for using my phone while driving because i couldnt answer my phone becuase with my bluetooth becuase it was once again missing from my trusted devieces list.
    is there a software update for this or something i can do to solve this problem. i am getting really frustrated with this palm phone. at&t told me this centro has many bluetooth problems and most people hate them and are getting different phones.

    As of this date, there are no updates for the AT&T Centro.
    Is this your first Palm device?  If not, did you upgrade according to Palm's guidelines?  Files from older devices can cause problems on newer Palm phones if installed accidentally.
    Is the Moto H700 new?
    I'm assuming you paired it by going through the Bluetooth Icon/Setup Devices/Handsfree Setup routine, correct?
    Any phone-modifiying software installed on it that could be causing a conflict?
    The BlueTooth works fine on my Centro (though the lack of Voice Dialing via BlueTooth is sorely missed) - I'm surprised "at&t" told you it has "many bluetooth problems and most people hate them..."     Two million people who bought them all hate them???

  • Phone shuts down when pairing with bluetooth

    I've had a Samsung Renown for a while and just installed a new hands free device in my car. When I pair the phone with the HFD or pair the HFD with the phone, it connects, then the phone reboots and the connection is lost. Any ideas ?

    I researched your issue with the phone resetting when pairing to your vehicle, and I have some good news!  It appears that there were some problems with pairing via Bluetooth to vehicles using the old software on the device.  You can view your software by going under Settings & Tools> Phone Info> SW / HW Version.
    The new software is u810.DE01.  If you have any version besides u810.DE01, you will need a software update to fix the issue.  If your current version of software is u810.CE14, you can most likely update to u810.DE01(the new one) over the air. All you need to do is go under Settings & Tools> Phone Info> Software Update> Check New.  You will then be prompted to update the software.
    If this over the phone method does not work and you have u810.CE14 as your current software or you have an older version of software than u810.CE14, please take your phone into a Verizon Wireless Store to have it flashed with the new software.  In the software update notes to the u810.DE01 software, there are very specific details about it resolving issues with pairing with vehicles.  This sounds like an open and shut case of a software update.

    Please update us if it fixes your issue!
