Config through SolMan and lock SPRO on ECC?
Hi all,
My client wants to use SolMan 7.1 for all configuration and lock SPRO on ECC systems.
1) Is it possible to lock SPRO completely at ECC side and enforce everyone to use SolMan for configuration?
2) In what cases we need to open SPRO at ECC?
Someone from my project was mentioning that some custom configuration or special settings needs to be done in ECC and for that have to logon ECC system and use SPRO. Is that true?
Thanks for looking this problem. Any suggestions or comments will be helpful and appreciated!
Regards,
ShaunHi
You might check this thread too for how to lock spro
How disable SPRO from Sap_new and Sap_All profile
if all the users have documented the config elements in solar02 of solman then only it is possible for you to lock spro of satellite system.
because if they want to config anything which is not there it wil be a problem
secondly if they say smthng is not there in solar02 they can try manual addition in solar02 and then you can lock spro in satellite
hope above helps

Attachment feature locks up often preventing attachment of text, photos, etc.
Attachment feature in email locks up in Firefox only. It happens after allowing one or more attachments sometimes and other times it happens on the first attempt to attach a doc, photo, etc. It does not happen with Internet Explorer so I often have to switch to it when attaching items. The size of the attachment doesn't seem to matter. I have used yahoo email for many years and have never had this problem with other browsers. I have the latest version of Firefox and have had this problem with the last 2 or 3 versions.
I can replicate the problem when I use the Attachments button and choose the Skydrive tab. For some reason, Microsoft is setting the width of the typed-in message text to 0, and I guess Firefox is stretching that to allow up to the width of one word.
I can't fix Hotmail, but I can give you a hack that resets the width (and height) to auto. You would run this after attaching the images, by clicking a button on your Bookmarks Toolbar.
(1) Copy the following line of code:
<br>javascript:var msgText = document.getElementById("appFrame").contentDocument.getElementById("contentFrame").contentDocument.getElementById("RichTextEditor_surface").contentDocument.getElementById("ecx_rte_preskyattach"); msgText.style.height = "auto"; msgText.style.width = "auto"; void 0;
(2) Right-click the Bookmarks Toolbar and choose New Bookmark
''If you do not normally display this toolbar, you can toggle it on using the View menu (Alt+v) or by right-clicking a blank area of the tab bar or menu bar''
(3) Paste the code in as the Location
(4) Name the bookmark as you wish (for example, FixHotmail)
Something more permanent could be created, but hopefully Microsoft will fix this and save us the trouble. -
Transfer attachment from SRM SHC to ECC PO
Hi,
Im working on SRM 7.0.Classic scenario.I need to enable the transfer of attachments from SRM SC to R/3 PO.Can anyone explain the steps to achieve the above?
Also in case of extended classic scenario,is the attachment transferred automatically from the SRM Local PO to ECC PO?
Thanks!
regards,
SRM TechHello SRMTECH,
You have to do some configuration settings in SPRO
SPRO>Supplier Relationship Management>SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings>Define Settings for Attachments.
We are also working for the same requirement. We have did following configuration / customization to achieve this.
- Activated BADI "BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW" in SRM and set the indicator as follow:
cs_ctrl_att-BE_DOC_TYPE = 'SRM'.
cs_ctrl_att-BE_storage_cat = 'DMS_C1_ST'.
cs_ctrl_att-TRANSFER_ACTIVE = 'X'.
- In ECC Side T.code DC10 and defined document type for SRM with following
Add a New Document Type SRM (if not already exists). Set 'Use KPro', 'Version Assign' and 'Change
Docs'. Set the Internal and External Number Range (02 and 01). Use MCDOKZNR as Number Exit.
Ver No. Incr = 1 and Set the File Size (Usually 10000000 bytes).
Once the Document Type is created, define Object links to PO Item and Pur Req Item. Use - Screen
Number 247 and Screen Number 248 with Valuation Object of EBAN and EKPO for Objects EBAN
(PReq) and EKPO (PO) for Doc Type SRM.
After doing this changes we were able to transfer attachements but we are still facing one issue as we were not able to open that particular document in ECC / R3.

Sending attachment form CRM system to ECC system
Hi friends,
I have a requirement.
when ever we create a sales order in CRM it automatically flows into ECC ... This is perfect sap provides this functinality..
Now my requiremnt is i need the attachement of this created sales order which is created in CRM should flow auomatically into ECC..
How can i get the attachment of ths sales order which i created...
Can any one let me know....
Regards
KumarThe attachement is a smartform or sapscript and those do not flow accross via middleware.
We use SAP archive link to write the document to CMS and then some programming is required to point the 2nd system (in your case ECC) to look at this document as we use the FM in the attached blog to write an entry to table TOA01.

Attachment transfer issue from Shopping cart to Purchase req in ECC
Hello,
How are you all. Need your expert advise..
We are trying to achieve functionality where documents which are attached on shopping cart get transfer into Purchase req in ECC (Classic Scenario with SRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0). For this we have done following config / enhancements:
- Activated BADI "BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW" in SRM with following code for attachment;
cs_ctrl_att-BE_DOC_TYPE = 'SRM'.
cs_ctrl_att-BE_storage_cat = 'DMS_C1_ST'.
cs_ctrl_att-TRANSFER_ACTIVE = 'X'.
- Created new document type ECC with t.code DC30 for SRM and assigned the object links for EBAN table.
After performing above task we are able to see Link of the attachment into Purchase req in ECC with document number (i.e. the one we assigned while defining document type in DC30) but not able to open the document in ECC.
Could you please let us know if there is any settings which we have missed for actually opening documents in ECC?
Thank you
RiteshIssue as reported Please let me know why the docs are not uploaded to SRm succesfully .
I am facing the below weird issue .
Easy shopping >Shop> eHiring catalog
Click Transfer to SRM
Now click on the button ‘Details’ and open the tab ‘Notes and attachments’
All attchments are names after the 1st attachment and all have the same file type
Basically you have lost all you attachments here, except 1 (when you click on the link, all links refer to the same document, so not just cosmetic). This is a problem.
When you order this shopping cart and search for it and open it again, the attachment tab is even completely empty, so now all attachments are lost.
Something like this, but less severe, happens in the process a bit further.
- Approve the shopping cart with the applicable approver
- Log in as Hiring desk:
Still no original attachments (like job descriptions).
Now click button ‘responses and awards’
Click tab ‘Items’ and fill out price ‘40’ euro
Click notes and attachment tab
I added 5 attachments
As can be seen here, the docx becomes an xlsx again, but it looks like it just takes over the 1st file type that was uploaded, it can also be the other way around (xlsx becomes docx) when the 1st uploaded attachment is a document.
But in this case, when you click on the link, it will open the right file with the right program, so over here it looks like it is just cosmetic. -
BP Master Data from CRM to ECC
Dear CRM Wizards,
We have the CRM as the leading system where we create BP, attach the roles and when "Sold to party" role is attached it flows to the ECC. Its working fine with the existing set up.
We are adding up a new Company code for which the above data is not flowing to ECC.
I have created templates as for the other companies / sales areas. and the BP gets reflected in the ECC for the other sales areas but NOT for the company code. In the templates I didnt find any entries for the company code. Would you all be able to guide where would I be missing out on the entry / template for the Country code entries, such that I can make use of it and move on.
Thanks in advance!!
Kind Regards,
TariqHi Dinesh,
Use the following:
SE18, Enhancement Spot: CRM_UIU_BP_ENHANCEMENT
Badi: BADI_CRM_BP_UIU_DEFAULTS
Create or use and existing implementations under that.
Trust that should solve your problem as much it did for us.

Upgrade of Sourcesystem SAP EHP3 SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP EHP4 SAP ECC 6.0
Hi,
I noticed there is a lot of questions on the testing procedures for BI side when Upgrading the source system from R/3 to ECC 6.0. But noticed there aren't many posts on when doing Ehancement Packs. But I believe the process would be more or less the same?
My project is doing an Upgrade of SAP EHP3 SAP ECC 6.0 Stack03 to SAP EHP4 SAP ECC 6.0 Stack07. BI Side is also upgraded, but I am more interested in the impact of the Upgrade's Source System (ECC) on BI.
I believe the amount of impact is less as compared to an upgrade from R/3 to ECC, but there still should be impact to BI somehow.
Basically, from what I have researched, there correct procedure is as below:
Pre-Upgrade
1 - Lock users in ECC
2 - ensure that the Delta queue is cleared in RSA7
3 - check the PI in ECC6.0 ( What is PI???)
3 - stop all loads from BW
Post-upgrade
1 - Check Source System connections
2 - replicate all data sources in ECC (when I do a check connection in RSA1 I get the message "No metadata upload since upgrade" which I believe is due to this step not done yet? Is it ok to replicate all datasources??)
3 - activate all rules thru program (RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL. Is it ok to activate all transfer strucs?)
4 - run Init w/o Data Transfer for deltas
5- run and then check extraction for full & delta loads
Appreciate if I could your expert inputs on the procedures above? Maybe a more detailed step by step procedure or comments are most welcomed.
Thanks.Additional information:
I start the upgrade from SAP ECC 6.0 with a dual stack.
SAP advised me to download the following file to start the upgrade
SAPehpi_68-10005800.SAR from the SMP
Download path: Browse our Download Catalog--> Additional Components --> Upgrade tools --> SAP EHPI Installer --> SAP EHP Installer 7.00.
Start the upgrade without the jce_policy_zip extension. This was written in note 1302772 .
Have more luck with it. -
SRM shopping cart attachment to SAP not transferring
Hi SRM Experts,
I have an issue with document attachment which is not coming to SAP R/3 Backend.
Scenario 1
1.Create shopping Cart in SRM system with One attachment,
2. Purchase requistion is created in backend replica of SRM shopping cart. but the attachment is not exists only document number exists in the DMS (CV03N - No attachment)
Scenario 2
1.Create shopping Cart in SRM system with TWO attachments,
2. Purchase requistion is created in backend replica of SRM shopping cart. but the attachment only one attachment exists and other attachement document number only exists in the DMS (CV03N - No attachment)
Scenario 3
1.Create shopping Cart in SRM system with FOUR attachments,
2. Purchase requistion is created in backend replica of SRM shopping cart. but the attachment only THREE attachments exists and Fourth attachement document number only exists in the DMS (CV03N - No attachment)
From the above all its understood that last attachmen is not transfered to SAP . In Scenario 1 last attachement will Only one attachment.
Its Strange issue, can any one face this sort for issue before, kindly let me know what could be the casue,
Note - I have posted the same issue in DMS thread as well
Cheers...GopinathHi Guru's,
I am using SRM 7.0 and while i create an attachment in shopping cart and try to send it in ECC, the attachment is not reflecting .
Since we are using the latest version of SRM, we have used BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW
(Method IF_EX_BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW~FILL_RQ_INTERFACE.).
I have also gone through the below link and tried the implementation :
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW-CreateRequisitionin+backend
Also, all ECC configuration are in place. However things are not come in place. Only the details are reflected but the attachment is not reflected in ECC.
If anyone can guide the correct way in SRM BADI along with ECC configuration (just to verify) will be a great help.
Kind Regards,
Kunal. -
Integrate ECC with SRM Document Builder
Hello SRM Guru,
We have requirement in our client to Integrate ECC with Only SRM PPS Document Builder Component.
Here is more detail:
After creating PO in ECC , User should click some button in the PO Transaction that should launch the document
builder Webdynpro where they can enter some more questioners then the PDF format or Word format contract will be generated then it should be attached in the PO in ECC.
Client wanted to use only SRM document builder component. Could you please let me know the possible
option to integrate ECC and Document Builder.
Like how to open document builder webdynpro application form ECC and how to transfer PO details to Document Builder
and finally how to attach the generated contract to PO in ECC.
Thanks in Advance.
VJThe upload type should be same, for ECC and SRM .. only the datasource need to be changed
Example:
If I you want to integrate Contracts from ECC and SRM, The OPM_SOURCES table should be like BELOW
ECC:
SOURCE ID : SRXCLNT220##ZBBP_TD_CONTR_2
SOURCE NAME : CONTRACTSSRM_DS
UPLOAD TYPE : CONTRACTS
SOURCE TYPE DS
SRM
SOURCE ID : EXSCLNT220##Z_SADSECC6CONTRACT
SOURCE NAME : CONTRACT_DS
UPLOAD TYPE : CONTRACTS
SOURCE TYPE : DS

C4780 locks up on attempts to setup wirelss
I have a new iMac running latest OS. During Setup, the printer -- while connected via usb -- sees my network. However, upon hitting Continue to get it attached to the network, I receieve a popup box saying "Device Not Connected...connect via USB"
It is connected. The problem is, as soon as it attempts to sync with my Airport Extreme (no Express on my network) the printer goes into full lock up and I have to diconnect the power to get it going again.
I've tried all levels of wireless security, including stripping it down WIDE OPEN...the c4780 still sees the network name, but upon trying to attach, it locks up and I get the Device Not Connected error box.
Can anyone please assist?
Settings:
Airport Extreme: Wide Open, No MAC filtering, No password, No security, Class N with B/G compatibility.
OS 10.6.4
iMac 27"
No other issues. Network works fine with both n/b/g devices.
I tried connecting the printer to a neighbor's network....and while it didn't work because of signal strenght, the HP Setup software did attempt to move forward and the c4780 did NOT lockup.
What else can I try? I'm at a complete loss after 60 minutes of doing just about everything.
Thanks,
KentFrom where did you get the HP software? If from the CD and unless your CD says it specifically supports 10.6 Snow Leopard, you must uninstall it using the 'scrubber' option:
Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard/ click on HP Uninstaller
Click on Continue
Highlight your device on the left pane
Hold the Ctrl, Opt and Cmd keys and click on Uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall ALL hp software. (At this point, if you continue, any HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click Continue and let it finish
Restart your Mac
Now, run a Software Update.
Next, remove and re-install the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax.
Download the software from the "Support and Drivers" link at the top of this page. Scan from Preview or Image Capture apps. Scanning from the front panel of the printer does not yet work.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

Disp+work stop because of shared memory?
Hello Gurus, I have an SAP server that will not start. It was running previously, but after a parameter update and an instance restart, I cannot get the dispatcher running.
System is Windows 2012 Server, MSSQL 2008 R2, 16 Core 132 GB RAM.
I believe it is related to shared memory overlapping somehow, but I am not sure how to resolve or investigate. I have had issues previously with memory overlap halting SAP servers with Diagnostics Agents, but this server is not currently running any DAA. It is running SAPRouter and some SAP Web Dispatcher instances.
I will include my trace files below:

Error "please enter a permitted partner number"in we20
Dear expert
I would like to add 2 profiles(see attachment) in WE20 in my ECC QAS after system refresh
but encounter the error above
My question could anyone tell me how to fix it
1. SPRO IMG --> what should be the correct item for each porfile
2. or can i add it directly in the table TBDLS?Hi
please run BDLS first with Source as your Source system client and target as your QAS system client
and run BDLS for each clients in your system
then try to create Entry in WE20 .
you should be able to do so .

End User Unlock and Password Reset in GRC AC 10.0
Hi Dears,
I have an issue related to End User Unlock and Password Reset.
We maintained Data Source as SU01 in SPRO, So that User can able to access GRC Application through End User Login with ECC System login
Details for raise a request.
If user is locked or forget ECC system password, then user not able to access GRC Application through End User Login with ECC System login Details for Unlock or reset Password.
In this situation, how user can unlock or reset the Password for ECC System.
Could you please provide the solution to resolve the Issue.
Note:- No LDAP or Acitive Directory.
System Details :- GRC AC 10.0 , SP12.
Regards,
Karnatak.Hi Rupesh
That was my warning on the post I linked you to
Quite a few PSS solutions have this as a setup (even SCN). The key thing you are reliant on is that the email account must be restricted to only the user to receive the password/link as well as appropriate Challenge Response Questions defined as part of their registration.
But yes, they can technically enter any User id to request the password and if they know the answers to the questions then they will get the password issue.
Your alternatively is to introduce another system (i.e. AD which you ruled out) or see if there is a way to introduce a second factor authentication (I don't believe this is delivered with GRC).

Vendor Blocked for Local Purchase Organization
Hi,
I have checked the vendor details in SRM and ECC. The vendor is not locked in SRM & ECC, still the User is getting the Error message that Vendor Blocked for Local Purchase Organization.
Please suggest.
Regards,
LovkeshHello,
To prevent a shopping cart being created with blocked vendors, you shall
make an implementation in BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI. This badi is called for
each refresh of ITS screen. Here
Call FM BBP_ITEM_GETDETAIL by supplying IV_DOC_GUID
The FM will return among others a table E_PARTNER.
select the corresponding partner related to E_PARTNER from table BUT000
Check weather the BUT000-XBLCK and E_PARTNER are matching
If yes, Fill ET_MESSAGES with an error message.
I hope this information help.
Thanks and regards,
Gaurav
