Attaching Target Groups in the Webshop admin in R3/CRM scenario

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to attach Target Group in the marketing tab in the webshop admin.
We have R/3 and CRM in landscape. I have created a target group in CRM Backend.
Now when i go to webshop admin and try to assign this target group in the Marketing tab, i get an error while doing a search for the traget groups. The error message says "No authorization for search help at CRM_MKTCA_UIU_SEG_TG". Now this CRM_MKTCA_UIU_SEG_TG is not a tcode in CRM nor ECC. I am not able to get any clue on this item CRM_MKTCA_UIU_SEG_TG.
So i tried to bypass this error message at search help, by directly assigning the target group in the webshop admin.
But by doing so we when we try to login to the Webhsop, we get an error "An error occured while webshop was loaded, The target group does not exist or is inactive "
So then we remove the Target group from the webshop admin, and then we are able to login to the webshop. But in all this we are not able to use our target group inside our webshop.
We are not getting any clue to this problem. Please advice how can we use target groups inside the webshop in the R3/CRM scenario. Thanks for your help in advance.

thanks for your prompr response.
We were able to get rid of the first error by getting the required authorizations to our role.
But now when we have assigned the target group in the marketing tab of the catalog in the webshop admin.
Then when we login to the webshop and when we select that catalog for opening, i throws two errors
" An erro occured the while shop <catalog name> was loaded "  ,
" The target group does not exist or is inactive "
This target group is active in CRM backend. We cross checked this in the Segment Builder. There we selected the target group and when we did "Open Traget Group" , we are able to see the members within target group and we are able to do a "Count" on this target group. Also we are able to create product association rules using this target group. This shows that our target group is Active. So we are confused with the error message.
When we remove this target group from webshop admin, then we are able to open the catalog in the webshop.
Are we missing something regarding the activation of Target groups ? Are there any other settings which we are missing ?

That takes to a view where in we can see icons with target group on the right top in the view when we right click on the icon we get options eg: count,export to file etc here we dont have an option call "Display Target Group" but this option is avaiable in the GUI .     I don't think you can get a button like this. You are not supposed to view the content of the target group from within the graphical modeler. You have to see this from the traditional CRM WebClient user interface. There you will see the members of the target group when clicking on the target group name.
    From the graphical modeler the only thing you can do is to right click the target group and export it to a file.

  • How to see target groups in Data Target in the APD

    Hi everybody.
    I am trying to make a marketing segmentation of customers in the APD (BI) and I need to send the results to a target group in CRM, my problem is that I can´t see target groups in the u201CData Target CRMu201D.
    I select the Logical System and when I select the Data Target the system shows   CRM error: Data target TARGET_GROUP_FROM_B not known.
    I know that the communication is OK, the RFC is working cause I can see Marketing Attributes (I released data target for replication and maintained attributes) but I don´t know if I need to do something similar with Target Groups of CRM or how.
    Does anyone have an idea how can I see target groups in the window of the Data Target?

    I have seen  this problem in other systems and it was caused by a GUI bug. Can you please check that you have the latest GUI patch installed for your GUI  release.

  • Target group changing

    Hello All,
    I've created TG "My TG" and attached it to a campaign "My campaign". I released campaign and transffered a group to a channel(call list in my case)
    After that I want to add additional BP to "My TG" and attach this group to the same campaign.
    According to help.sap.com I should delete the target group from campaign , change it and attach it again.
    But when I tryed to delete TG from campaign I got error message "Segment already transfered to a channel".
    Some suggestion?
    Is there some another way to add additional BP's to existing  target group and attached it to the same campaign?

    Transport Layer in ABAP Workbench
    The Change and Transport System supports the distribution of development work on large projects across multiple SAP Systems.
    The packages in each development system are grouped into one transport layer.
    The transport layer determines whether objects are assigned to a local or transportable change request.
    Use
    Each of your SAP development systems is assigned a transport layer as its standard transport layer. If you use Extended Transport Control, you can assign different standard transport layers to certain clients.
    You can define at the most one consolidation target for each SAP System and transport layer.
    When you create a package, it is assigned the standard transport layer of the SAP System.
    If you want to assign a different transport layer to a package, you require the administration authorization for the Change and Transport System.
    The objects in a package automatically have the transport attributes defined for the corresponding transport layer.
    If a consolidation route originating in their SAP System is defined, then the objects are assigned to a transportable request, and transported into the consolidation target when it is released.
    If a consolidation route is not defined, the objects are assigned to a local request, and are not transported.
    Customizing settings are not assigned to a package. They have the transport attributes of the standard transport layer of the system or client.

    To display and maintain the transport layers and routes, use the Transport Management System (transaction STMS).
    Only the system adminstrator can make changes.
    Caution:

    Could any one suggest solution for the query...
    Scenario: Personalized Cross-Selling for Target Group in a Webshop (E-Commerce-B2B Occasional User Scenario). The Cross Selling is to
    appear only for Target Group, but the system is prompting the Cross Selling
    Rule for both Target Group aswell Global. The Config details are below
    mentioned.
    1. In Method Schema (11) we maintained Cross Selling Methods for Global as well
    as Target Group.
    (CRM_MKTPR_PP_CS_GL_READ & CRM_MKTPR_PP_CS_TG_READ).
    (I did remove Global Method for testing, but still it is appearing for Global
    Target Group)
    2. Created Cross Selling rules in CRM for Target Group Target Group & is
    Activated.
    3. Target Group Modeling done in Segment Builder.
    4. Target Group Assignment done in the webshop.
    5. Application Administration related tasks (clearing done).
    6. Product Catalog Updated Replication is done aswell.
    7. Simulation of Product Proposal is done using program
    "CRM_MKTPR_PRODUCT_PROPOSAL"
    Please suggest me if I miss anything to recommed Cross-Selling rules only to the Target Group.

    Hi,
    I have created a Profile set and Target groups  in the profile set. i have executed the campaign for that.
    My Question, is can i add the target group created earlier to the another profile set, if so How?
    I am in urgent need of documentation of the same.

    Please read carefully the rules regarding target groups in CRM Segment Builder:
    <i>-A target group can exist without reference to a profile. If so, it must however reference a profile set ("lies in profile set..") or as a subset, if present ("is attached to profile set ...").
    -If a target group is created with the profile set reference "is attached to" (that is, to a subset), it will have the status "active"; and any available target groups of the profile of the subset will be set to "inactive".
    -A target group with profile reference always has a set reference ("lies in profile set ..").
    -A target group with profile reference cannot be attached directly to a profile set.
    Within a profile set, a target group without profile reference is represented by an icon indicating a single target group.</i>
    <i><b>-You cannot move target groups from one profile set to another, however you can copy existing target groups.</b></i>

    If by "add target group to another profile set" you mean to say "COPY target group to another profile set", then yes it is possible to do it.
    As for the "how" ... please read the help again:
    <i>To copy a marketing segment, select the required segment in the staging area of the Segment Builder and choose either the Copy pushbutton or choose Copy Segments from the context menu. If no individual segments are selected, the entire profile set is copied.
    You can choose whether the copied segments are created in a new profile set, an existing profile set, an existing subset, or in a new subset of an existing profile set.</i>

  • Archiving Target Groups

    Hi Experts,
    I need help with Archiving Target Groups and Profiles. I understand that I need to select "To Be Archived " checkbox to archive the Target groups and Profiles. We are on CRM 2007 and I do not find the Checkbox for Archiving on the Target Group and Profiles.
    1) Where can I find the Archiving Checkbox? (Is there any specific procedure that I need to follow?)
    2) Do I have to maintain any residual times for Target group Archiving?
    3) If the Target group is used in a Campaign does that Campaign have to be under released or rejected status for the Target Group to be archived? (Is there a dependency?)

    HI Pooja,
    The status should be " Finished or Rejected"  on the campaign and not " Released ".
    Comming to your questions
    1)In order to Archive a target group assigned to a Camapiagn is it mandatory to archive the campaign and then the target group or Can we archive the Target group seperately?
    Scenario 1: Campaign A has TG B and the campaign is released with the TGB.
    In such a scenario where the TGB is already associated to a CampA , SAP standard Archiving procedure wont allow you to Archive TG B only. You should first set the campaign status to" Finished or Rejected " and follow the Standard Archiving procedure.
    Scenario 2: You have created a TG in the segment builder and it is not attached to any Campaign.
    In such a scenario you can Archive the TG Only using the SAP archiving procedure
    The archiving objects for this scenario are CRM_MKTSET (profile set) and CRM_MKTTG (target groups)
    2) I do not see the option of maintaining the residual times for the target groups in customizing.
    There is no residual time cutomizing for TG's archiving. The check that is made during TG archiving is if it has a status " To Archive ".
    We are currently working on CRM 5.0 and we do have the status on TG "To be Archvied" and also based on the application help for CRM 2007 i see that "To be Archived is one of the status in TG properties", Try setting the Modeling Completed Status first on the TG and then check if the system shows you the "To be Archived" status ,If this does'nt work then I would suggest you to raise an OSS note to SAP.

    Hi Manohar,
    You can use below methods
    1. Using BI query (BI Cube) :
    Create a BI query for the sales orders with value field and BP GUID and create a data source using the BI cube with BP as BP GUID.
    2. Using Marketing attribute:
    Create a Marketing attribute as Sales Volume (for exp) and update this marketing attribute with the total value of the sales order + exsting value in the marketing attribute which gives the total cumilative value of the sales done so far by that particular BP.
    To achieve this you may have use the breakpoint in the sales order and code for the updation of markeing attribute of sold party partner function BP.
    Create a data souce using the above attribute set.
    We have used 2nd method for our purpose.

    In SAP Library, it is mentioned that "To keep target group information in the BW System up-to-date, CRM and BW must be synchronized. You activate this synchronization by choosing the Synchronization with BW indicator from the properties of the target group. "

    We have the following case about the Target Group in CRM Marketing:
    Already Generate a Target Group in Segment Builder on x date
    A Campaign has been created and the Target Group has been assigned to this Campaign
    After that some changes has been done at the time of releasing the campaign,
    shall i have to regenerate the target group or not to get the exact target group accroding to attribute list

    you said you already maintained the target group ,so when you release the campign its pretty simple,if you have maintained the target group using the same set of attributes which are there in your attribute list,then you need not create the target group again
    but if thats not the case then you need to regenerate the target group on the basis of attribute list,infosets or BW query,using whatever you want to do the segmentation.
    target group once assigned to the campaigns can be used again and again but on the basis of which target group are assigned is very crucial.this must be remembered every time we do segmentation.
    besides you can maintain a background job for scheduling the target group assignment to the BP too,so that once target group is generated it is assigned automatically for segmentation.

  • Deletion of target group

    Hi experts,
    We are unable to delete a targetgroup which is assigned to a campaign element of  a  campaign.
    The campaign scheduled with campaign automation for the execution.
    When we are trying to delete the target group from the campaign element the message displays as " target group has already been transfered to channel"
    Can anybody explain the procedure for the deletion of the target group which is already assigned to a campaign which is released to channel transfer.

    Hi madhu,
    Under easy access menu, follow the below path:
    Marketing -> Tools -> Expert Tools
    Under segment builder, you will have the option called "Deletion of Target groups".
    Click on that and mention the target group, which u want to delete and click on execute button.

  • XSLT transformation error when importing target group in CRM Survey cockpit

    Hi,
    I created a target group using the segment builder and exported that to a local file. Then when creating a survey using CRM survey cockpit (tcode: SURVEY) and trying to import the same target group from the local file; I get an error :
    "Error when applying a XSLT transformation"
    System Response
    Data transformation cannot be executed. Application functions that depend on the transformation cannot be executed
    I tried various file formats : RTF, TXT, XLS, HTML but still I get the same error. Export to XML option is neither available while exporting from segment builder nor while importing into Survey cockpit. The target group is not empty.
    Are there any settings to be maintained to resolve the error ?????

    Thanks for the response... as far as my understanding goes, the crm survey suite can be used for maintaining questoinnaires that are transaction specific. also the functionality of question tables and rows is not available in the survey suite but is available in the survey cockpit (tcode: SURVEY).
    However the same does not allow me to refer to the target groups created using the segment builder.... Is there a way I can use the target group created through the segment builder in the survey cockpit ????

  • Creating Target Group from External File

    Hello Experts
    We need to create target group from external file. (That is to say we will have let's say txt file containing BP that belongs to specific target group and we need to assign these BPs to to specific target group in SAP CRM)
    I have searched for it on sdn and found something benefical. I have found BAPI_TARGETGROUP_CREATE, I have checked it but I don't understand how should we use it becuase as far as we understand it just creates target group, we cannot see anything related with Business Partner. How can we relate BPs with the target group we create by this BAPI.
    What should we do, is anyone have previous experience about it? or is there a way to do it without using BAPI.

    Hi,
    You can do this from within the standard Web UI. It's straight out of the box.
    Create a profile set and in there create a target group in the target group assignment block just by entering the description of the target group. Then enter edit mode of this target group and click the button "Import Members". Remeber to mark "Change selected target group" unless you want to create a new target group.
