Audio missing while exporting an MPEG 2 with Compressor
Hello There
I exported a sequence from a video project in Final Cut Pro, using Compressor. While exporting an MPEG 2, I get no audio on the video file. What do I need to do so the Audio is embedded with in the MPEG 2 file?

If you want to make a DVD-Video, then you'll need to import both files into DVD-SP for authoring.
If you want to make an MPEG-2 Program Stream or MPEG-2 Transport Stream, choose the appropriate DVD preset for your program length, duplicate the preset then alter the preset copy to make it produce a muxed (multiplexed) file.

ADF View integration with MDS not configured
In web.xml, you need to have mds-ojsp intg enabled to load jspx base + customizations from MDS. In your web project in Jdev, go to ADFv project properties and select “Seeded customization” property. It would enable mds-jsp engine configuration in web.xml. If you want to use user personalization feature at runtime, you would need to select “User customization” property as well which would enable ADFv change persistence config in web.xml.
Warning: Some of the metadata under ... is packaged as part of both WAR and MAR. This metadata cannot be accessed from WAR using MDS.
For these two packages, you are including the files in both WAR & MAR. This warning conveys that since these base files are being put in MAR, at runtime they would be read from mds repository & not from WAR.

Some Audio Missing from Exported Movie
I've exported a movie from iMovie to iTunes for sharing with AppleTV but the sound is missing from the last 75% of the movie when played back in Itunes or AppleTV. All the sound is ok in the iMovie project so some of it appears to have gone missing when exporting to iTunes.
I have tried re-exporting it but it's still the same result.
Any help would be appreciated.

Joe, I've also seen problems exporting iMovie projects with the Apple TV exporter, although never the problem you mentioned.
I suggest you try another way to configure your own export settings. Your goal will be to create an export very similar to Apple TV, but build it on your own. The Apple TV exporter uses the H.264 codec, used for many other exports too.
(You can test this on one or two clips in the affected area before exporting the entire iMovie project. Use the "Share selected clips only" checkbox.)
Instead of choosing the Apple TV export in the export dialog window, try choosing "Movie to MPEG-4". Then click on the Options button. Configure these settings:
UNDER THE VIDEO TAB:
Video Format: H.264
Data Rate: 2653
Optimized for: Download
Image Size: Custom, 720x480
Frame Rate: Current (or 29.97 for NTSC, 25 for PAL)
UNDER THE AUDIO TAB:
Audio Format: AACV-LC (Music)
Data Rate: 128 kbps
Channels: Stereo
Output Sample Rate: Recommended
Encoding Quality: Better
When the export is done, change the file extension to ".m4v", the extension used by Apple TV, if you like. You'll want to test the movie in whatever ways you now use the traditional Apple TV movie.

Problem while exporting to PDF with japanese character in Crystal Report X1
Hi,
I am using Crystal report X1 with classic ASP on a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server, SP 2. In my application, I have to export the report into PDF, CSV, DOC formats. I am have Japanese strings in the report. While exporting to PDF, empty boxes has displayed in the place of Japanese string and in CSV file, question mark has been displayed instead of Japanese string. But the Doc file is exported correctly. I have not installed any language support software either in server or in client machine. I have used MS Gothic and Arial Unicode MS fonts for the text-objects which has Japanese strings.
Please give me a solution so that I will get PDF file with Japanese strings instead of empty box or question mark.
Do I need to install any language support pack software?

Thank You for your reply. I have resolved the issue of exporting to pdf from crystal report X1 having Japanese data after installing the language pack.
But when I am exporting to CSV or TXT, i am getting ??? instead of Japanese characters. I have tried "export" through crystal report designer and got ??? instead of Japanese.
The Crystal report version I am using is Crystal report X1 11.0.0.1282
Crystal Report Desinger is installed in Windows Xp machine
Font set for Text object is Arial Unicode MS, MS PMincho, MS PGothic
Does the Crystal report X1 11.0.0.1282 has the UTF-8 support for CVS / txt

Audio missing after exportation
I exported a 8.5 miuntes film (cmd E, video codec:actual settings). When I run it with Quicktime player (10.0) everything is ok, but after approx.7 minutes the sound has sudenly disappeared. I use FCPX 10.0.1. With version 10.0.0 I never faced this problem.
Does anybody know how to fix this ?I'm work on a PC, but in years past when on rare occasion my audio was somehow messed up in the final export, this has worked for me:
Export the timeline as AUDIO ONLY. I used .wav format on the PC. Then Import that new .wav file and drop into an empty timeline track. MUTE all other audio tracks. Check the audio - if it is all intact and good, you can now export the video with the good audio

First four seconds of audio missing when exporting project as MPEG2
Hello all-
When I export my project from FCP (using version 6.0.6) using Compressor's (v. 3.0.5) MPEG2 Program Stream setting, everything works fine except for one slight problem: the first four seconds of audio are missing. I've looked back over my timeline (NTSC-DV with 4 tracks of 48khz 16bit audio), everything is fine, and the audio exported just fine using the H.264 codec. I've tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions?

BrettWell I REALLY need some help with this one! I have tried so many different 'work arounds' without success. As mentioned in my first post the audio is not sync'ing with the video when exported. I have tried Exporting the file in QuickTime, I have tried using Compressor again exporting just the video then the audio - pulling it into a new session and lining it up again but everytime I pull it the newly exported file into a new project and render it FCP crashes not allowing it to render (nice!). I actually started from square one capturing the video footage again and assemble the project again without luck. I simply cannot believe what a pain in the arse this is!! I need to get this project done and it simply won't do it.

Export QuickTime movie with Compressor running in background
I've rummaged through the forums many times to figure out the absolute fastest way to get an FCP sequence compressed for DVD Studio Pro while maintaining the best quality. I always seem to come up with:
Export QuickTime Movie (not self contained) --> Compressor (DVD best quality settings)
This seems to work fine. I am currently exporting sequences in HDV 1080i60 and they take an extremely long time to export into QT movies. Because of that, I am editing a sequence, waiting for it to export, then dropping it into Compressor. At this point, FCP is available for editing again while Compressor is working, so I repeat the process. However, when I export to QT from FCP while Compressor is still running in the background it seems to take much longer to export.
Here is my question:
*Am I doing anything wrong by allowing Compressor to work while I am trying to export QT movies from FCP to the same drive?*
Is FCP actually taking longer to export, or is that my imagination? Would it be faster if I only did one at a time, or should it take the same amount of time either way? Am I putting the data on my final movies at risk by doing these things at the same time?
Any help would be appreciated as this is a time sensitive project. I am working in both FCP 5 and 6 on two different computers. 2.5 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB.Compressor takes a lot of system resources. It will slow the computer down in other tasks.
Because Compressor can run unattended, why not take advantage of that?
Do your regular work that needs you to be there and run the Compressor Batch overnight or at other times when the system is idle.
Compressor's default destination for its processed files is the same directory as the original -writing the files to a different drive might help, at least that way your media drive is not reading and writing at the same time. -

Im having a new problem with premiere:
I have a timeline of about 40 minutes long with several audio tracks and sounds, some mp3 from you tube and some recorded on the shooting day.
everything sound just fine in premiere, I even exported one part of the timeline as a seperate movie and it was o.k.
the problem is when I've import the hole track some of the audio tracks were missing/silent. it happend in 2 different projects.
I'm on windows 7 premiere cc update to latest version...I've seen a couple of others report the same, but I have never seen it myself, nor have any ideas as to why.

Audio missing on exported video
I seem to be having this same issue, time and time again.
When I export, no matter how I export the video (i.e. Share > Apple Devices, Share > YouTube, etc), the audio for the first multicam clip isn't there for the first 40 seconds or so. After that, it comes back in and plays normally. The weird thing is that background audio is there just fine, it's just the audio from the multicam clip.
I had Compressor 4 installed, but read that that could have been the problem, so I uninstalled it, but am still having the same problems.

What are the best settings in QuickTime or MPEG Streamclip to export to for YouTube? How about for DVD burning in iDVD?
For iDVD, I would just use the master you already have. iDVD will have to compress it to DVD format. There is no need to do an intermediate conversion, that would add time and degrade quality somewhat.
For YouTube, it is likely that you *do* need to pre-convert, for two reasons: the file is too large, and the format might not be accepted anyway. The most obvious choice is to h264. It will likely be compressed again at their end. I am not sure as to what the best settings might be. -

Audio Missing When Exporting to Flash
When I export this Keynote presentation to Flash, I get an error message that says "Can't export an audio file because of an unknown error." Then it says that "Couldn't export a media file on slide 1" and so on for all 10 slides. It's basically a presentation that only has 10 slides, but audio that lasts about half an hour.
Each slide has an audio file dropped on it and they all play wonderfully in Keynote, but they won't export! I first tried it with MP3's then AAC's...same story. I didn't want to use AIFF's because of the size.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. This is very frustrating! Oh, I have QT Pro so that's not the issue either.What format are the audio files? If you created them in Quicktime as .mov files and placed each .mov file on a keynote slide they will not be recognized on export. The sound files will be fine if you export your keynote as a .mov.
To export as a Flash swf, change all the files to .aiff files. You can do this for each audio file by opening the audio file in QT and converting/exporting it as an .aiff file. Then place the new .aiff file on each slide but make sure to delete the original .mov audio or you'll have two sounds playing in the original keynote.

Motion 5 not exporting Play Range with Compressor
I've been trying to export portions of certain Motion projects, but I prefer to use Compressor to take advantage of my cluster. However, Compressor insists on ignoring the "Duration" setting. It will only ever export the "Entire Sequence", and if "In/Out Points" is selected, it won't care.
I've tried this in every possible permutation of Compressor exporting. I've clicked Send to Compressor, both in the menu and through the Export Movie>Advanced dialog, and even using Export using Compressor Settings. Every single option completely ignores my play range.
Meanwhile, exporting through Motion handles the play range fine, but it's slower and more crash-prone than Compressor.
This is a bug, right? I'm not missing something obvious? (Yes, I have Compressor 4)In/Out points inside Motion are ignored when you Send To Compressor. Inside Compressor you need to manually set In/Out points in the Compressor Preview window.

MPEG with compressor to use in Vegas
I have tried to render out an amorphic 16 by 9 widescreen mpeg2 file in compressor. This file will not open in Vegas.
ANyone have any suggestions? I turned off the mac metatags so I know that is not the problem.One possible reason you can't open a compressor file in Vegas is because Compressor does not mix the mpeg and audio files into one track. They're separate. If Vegas is like some of the other Windows editing suites I've seen, it may handle the audio and video as one file.
Of course, the advice to go to a Vegas support forum is probably the best you've gotten, since there are people there that actually use it.
And to answer your question about DVD Studio Pro: Yes, it can handle 5.1 surround. It doesn't mix them or process them in the program, because that's not what DVD SP is for. The FCP suite has other apps for that.

Exporting to Vimeo with Compressor 4.1.2
I have created a custom setting to export to Vimeo, including my email and password.
However when applying the setting to the films to be compressed, the password information is missing and it seems like I have to input it manually for each file. What am I doing wrong?Some sign in information is retained. You must drag the group not the setting onto the file.
The job action is retained. If you select the job in the pane, not the setting, the action will appear.
The username and password is retained as long as the application is open. Once the application is closed and re-opened the job action is retained but the password is not. That has to be entered in the job action in custom settings each time the application is opened.
