Audio Waveforms Not Showing In Timeline - Bug Report

When I send P2 Footage from Prelude to PP, the audio waveforms on the timeline do not show, even though the settings are correct. I have to close PP and then reopen it and then they show. It is some sort of a bug. I'm on Mac OS 10.9, latest version, fast computer. Anyone else having this issue?

There are three kind of audio tracks, stereo, mono and 5.1. Mono can only be placed in a mono track, stereo only in a stereo track and 5.1 only in a 5.1 track. By default a new sequence has three stereo tracks, so when you enter mono material, a new mono track is created in track 4.
In your case you probably have 6 audio tracks of one kind and the 'lost' one is another kind of track and that is the reason it ends up in track 7. You can of course delete empty audio tracks, which will cause track 7 to move up.

Using Final Cut Pro 6. When double clicking an audio track, it doesn't show up correctly in the viewer. The top half doesn't come up at all and the bottom doesn't look right. No idea why this is happening or how to fix it. Tried dumping the audio waveform cache, but that did nothing. Help ASAP would be much appreciated as this system needs to be used to edit something with audio right away. Thank you!

I am having the same problem. I am running FCP 6.0.4 and when I double click on an audio clip in the timeline, there is no waveform in the viewer. Just a big black box.
In the past I have deleted the waveform cache folder and trashed preferences. But this isn't working anymore.

Need a little help.
I can't get the audio waveforms to show up in the timeline. All I get is little x's across the audio tracks.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

in addition:
what i'd call the creation of waveform peak files (so you can see the waveforms) seem to be only created when the timeline is zoomed out where you can see all of a particular clip or clips.
after you zoom out, then wait, you'll see the little x's turn in to visible waveforms over time.

Usually the second 1/3 or 1/2 of the footage in the sequence.

Are the clips nested or multicam?
Did you render the sequence audio?

Excel is not showing multiple Drill thru report selection option

We have created 3 drill thru reports in EIS, excel is not showing Select Drill-Through Report Dialog Box when tying to acess drill thru reports. It defaultly executes the first drill thru report, we want it to list the available reports so that we can select accordingly after view/launch is selected.

Designed Reports are not showing in the Analysis Report List

I have designed one report as per our client requirement, and assigned also, but its not showing in the analysis reports list.May i know what setting needs be done to appear in the reports list?.

The Analysis -> Reports shows a list of views. Hence, once you create a report you need to complete two mandatory steps.
1. Create a View

Audio is not showing up in the browser nor the timeline???

i have a question. i recorded a video and viewed it and the video and audio is working. when i imported it and it showed up on the browser the audio outputs were not showing up. also when i tried to dragged it to the timeline the audio tracks didnt show up either. what could this be?? i have a sony dvcam hdv deck in which someone used it and im thinking maybe they changed some settings on the deck?? help please!!??

The VU meter is the audio meter (see FCE 4 user manual from page 56). If a clip include any audio, this meter should move when clip is played from browser to viewer.
The camera audio should be 16 bit 48 kHz. You can use 32 kHz if you select the correct preset in Easy setup dialog box.
Did you see the link provided earlier for patch panel bay use?
The patch panel switch is the way to tell to FCE where (understand on exact layer) adding video and audio in timeline. If the audio switches are disconnected, the edit will insert only video. There is a contextual menu to reset the patch panel switch.

Waveforms not showing up in final cut pro 10.1.3

Hi there,
I've recently updated to FCP X 10.1.3 - mostly works fine but i've got a problem with audio waveforms (both separate audio and audio track of a video clip) not rendering/showing up when editing in the timeline.
Also i've found multi-cam or syncronising clips to be worse at syncing audio than previous versions.
Anyone else have this problem, or any clue how to fix?

Apologies! All sorted. My mac was just taking so long to render the audio lol
Still having issues with syncing audio (zoom h4n) video clips (multicam clip or sync clips). Normally works like a dream even on difficult material, but for some reason now randomly sync's clips way off the mark.

Audio will not play in timeline

After editing my transcoded canon c100 .mts files in FCPX, suddenly the audio stops playing in the timeline. Project preferences are on "stereo", source media is set to "all", not just video. Clips will play fine in browser. The audio has come back a few times on its own in the timeline and then disappears again yet the waveforms are always visible in the clips. Any ideas? Note, I have a damaged headphone jack, currently I'm only to get an audio signal from an external device (headphones, ext. speakers). I would doubt that has anything to do with this problem but who the **** knows.

Planned values of profit centers not showing up in customised report painte

Hi,
I made a customised profit center report via report painter. I have already uploaded planned values in KP06. In the customised report painter, the record type is "1" (plan) and version is "0" for actual/plan. The columns for the planned values do not show any figures. But when I generate std SAP report S_ALR_87013340 - Profit Center Group: Plan/Actual/Variance, it shows the plan values. In that way, I know that the cost center upload is correct.
Please advise on how to show the plan values on the report painter.

ahhh...the fact that you can see the actual values has made me realize what the problem might be. GLPCP and GLPCA (actual line items) use different fields in regard to the period. I assume that you are utilizing the POPER characteristic to select the periods....correct?
In that case please try the following: copy library 8A3 into the customer name space (I would always base customized reports on your own library). In your copy activate the RPMAX characteristic. The re-create your report based on the new library and make the following changes: use RPMAX in the general selection and only use POPER in the column definition for the actual values. That should work.

Open PO not showing up on purchasing reports

We have a customer whos PO's are not showing up on our purchasing reports. I am thinking it has something to do with needing to run some type of process to maybe sync up addresses or something. Anyone have an idea!

Video / Audio Filters not showing up in "Viewer" tab?

Hi, I recently re-installed Final Cut Express v4.0.1 after a hard drive crash. Now the video and audio filters do not show up on the Viewer Screen. They show up on the "Effects" menu tab (though video transitions do not). I've attempted uninstall / reinstall and deleting preferences but still no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You may not have deleted the dodgy app fully as there are numerous hidden folders.

BP Balance not showing correctly in Aging report

Good Day all B1 experts,
We are converting to SAP B1 for fiscal year 2010 and earlier today I have found a problem with BP balance on the AR side. Below is a summary of the problem:
Problem:
- For some BP, after I entered opening balances, their total outstanding AR balance was not reflected in the Aging report, nor can be found in the Opening Balance window (under System Initialization).
- However, A/R control General Ledger account is correct and ties to my Year End 2009 Financial Statements
Attempted Solution:
- I reentered the "missing" opening balance for those BP accounts. After entering the numbers, however, the Aging report shows a DOUBLED amount of the correct balance. And when I go check the Opening Balance window, the system is showing the correct BP balance (NOT Doubled).
- Now my A/R control General Ledger and Opening Balance General Ledger Account is out of balance as well. The difference equals to the amount I reentered.
Has anyone encountered similar problem before? I cannot think of anything I did to cause such mess. In any case, I am wondering if I need to use the Restore BP function.
Please provide me some guidance on this. Thanks!!!

In the article, it mentioned about the Single Reconciliation Engine. Do you know if that tool comes along with previous upgrades, or we will have to download and install it?
Actually it seems for one of those problem BP accounts, the correct balance is reflecting on the Aging Report after an invoice was issued yesterday. However, its BP balance is still not correctly reflecting elsewhere (such as Incoming Payment under banking module.)

Capacitor & inductor current waveforms not showing correctly

Hello,
After a fair amount of time playing around, I cannot seem to get the current waveforms of a purely capacitive / inductive circuit to show correctly on the oscilliscope.
since I through inductor =( ∫v dt) / L
I get extremely high current values on the oscilliscope (in the region of kA) adn for a purely capacitive circuit - in the region of pA.
ie, a square wave DC source, 10V to -5V, 1ms @ 10V and 2ms @ -5V, period of 3ms - connected to a 1mH inductor.
(∫10 dt)/L = (10 x .001) / .001 = 10A - so at 1ms, the current will rise to 10A ( in a linear fashion)
[(∫10 dt) / L] from 0 to 1ms + [(∫-5 dt) / L] from 1ms to 3ms = 0 = current will drop to 0A in a linear fashion from 1ms to 3ms.
THIS does not show on the osciiscope!
By adding an instantaneous current probe onto the circuit - this will roughly show the correct value - but obviously will not show an accurate waveform.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.

I literally just opened up the file to check it and to post it here, and it works?!
Rather confusing as it was most definately not working when I started this thread.
Maybe the program needed and clean startup or something.... but the current values were all over the place.
When I analysed the circuit by hand, I would get values for current and voltages but when simulated they were in the range of 500KA etc with a simple capacitor circuit with a 10V sawtooth supply.

Not showing last value in report

I am having a report with new selection and i want the last value in result area and for this i have selected 'Calculated result as Last Value' in properties but it is showing me the summation of all value.so could you please tell me how do i get the value for this.I am using BW3.X.

Hi Anoop,
You need to keep setting as calculate result as ' Last value' or exception aggregation to last value.
As you are in production, to check whether it is working or not in production, run the report in RSRT, go the key figure right click and go to enhanced menu, and then in propeties, and then in kf properties you can settings like calculate result as , no of decimal places, sorting(these options which you design in Query designer), make it as last value under calculate result as and transfer the selection.
This should work and then you make the change in dev and transport.
