  • HT201272 I dont understand how I can purchase a song from itunes and it WILL not transfer to my iPhone? What is the purpose of paying for music in the first place? I have authorised my computer. I have authorised manual transfer. I can transfer every song

I've purchased music from iTunes and CANNOT drag to my iPhone...WHY? I have clicked manage myself and authorised my computer. What is the point of buying music if you cannot transfer from iTunes to an iPhone? I can happily transfer my CDs.????? I have the latest update on my iPhone and iTunes.

Media was moved via external hard disk, and I think I moved the iTunes Media folder after consolidating it.

  • I've bought a track, authorised the computer, but skips and doesn't play??  Help?

    Hi,
I've bought a track from iTunes ("Strokin" by Clarence Carter).  Every time i click to play it, it momentarily pops up before skipping.  This happens in my iTunes Music Library and on my iPod.  I've downloaded version 10.63, I've "authorised my Computer" (seem to have to do that frequently).  Still no luck.
As a matter of principal, how do I go about getting my money back!  I'm getting v frustrated.  I've loads more tracks I want to buy on iTunes but reluctant with lack of success.
    Any thoughts or advice?
    Henzala

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the problem tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • How can I authorise my computer when the email address no longer exists

Yesterday, due to software problems I had to have my computer wiped. I reinstalled iTunes and loaded all my music, films etc back on (these are kept on a hard drive) with no problems. I now have about 120 songs/videos that will not play as they were purchased with an email address that no longer exists. iTunes keeps asking me to authorise my computer but I do not know the password. Is there any way I can get these purchases back? Not techy at all, please help, I've been at this all day!!!

You will need to call Apple at 800-275-2273 and ask for the Account security department.  They will have you sign into the My Apple ID site at id.apple.com using the Manage Apple ID button and generate a temporary support pin.  It can be found in the lower left corner of the Password and Security section once you log in.
Once you give them the support pin, they will ask for one other piece of information from the account in order to verify that you own it.  This can either be one of the current security questions, the credit card linked to the account, a device serial number, or a device verification code that they can send you.
    Good luck!

  • WHY DOES AUTHORISING MY COMPUTER NOT WORK?

After I've downloaded certain songs I can't play them and I'm asked to authorise my computer, so I do that and try to play the song but then I'm asked again to authorise my computer, and then again and again..... Sometimes it comes up that I've already authorised it. Does anyone know of any long term solution to this? iTunes support are useless as far as telling me what authorising means and how I can prevent it from happening again, although they usually manage to sort out the problem with the one song.
Also I'm using a Windows 7 32 bit laptop and that's all I have, no other devices, so there's no reason for any conflicts with authorising.

I'm afraid that only works if I've reported the song and then the iTunes advisor authorises me to download it again, or whatever it is that they do. I've tried deleting a song before reporting it but when I go to the store menu it just says that all purchased songs have been downloaded.

  • I Tunes will not ley me play purchased songs from a computer that is broken, and from a previous e-mail address. I am at my wits end, as whenevr I try to authorise the computer I am using with my dead e-mail address. Any suggestions please?

i Tunes will not let me play purchased songs from a computer that is broken, and which has a previous e-mail address. I am at my wits end, as whenever I try to play the songs I receive a message to authorise the computer I am using with my dead e-mail address. I end up in a mess, changing I-Ds, etc. I have paid an IT company to sort  things out, with some success, but still I keep getting thiese messages. Surely iTunes should be less complex than this. I am not brilliant with IT, but not at all stupid. Any suggestions please?

  • HT2045 itunes want's me to authorise my computer to listen to a track but it's already authorised.

I have just purchased a single form itunes & it's telling that I have to authorise the computer in order to play it. This has never happened before that I can remember. When I add my apple ID & Password it tells me the computer is already authorised. When I sync my ipod it just skips the track. I am not very happy that I have just paid for the track & I can't listen to it.

Delete and redownload it if doing so is free in your country.

Sounds like you have a "damaged track" or "damaged file".
This worked for me today downloading Kendrick Lamar's new Album "good kid, m.A.A.d city".
My situation: I bought the album today for my Mac,  MacBook Pro, iPad 2, and iPhone 4S devices.
Issue: One song (only on my MacBook Pro) would not play, instead display "
    EX: left"
Solution: 1. Manually delete the song (giving you the error) permantly from the authorized computer.
    2. Open iTunes, Click iTunes Store (left sidebar), and locate Quick Links and then click Purchased to proceed.
    3. Click "Not On This Computer", find the song that wouldn't play, and re-download it again.
    4. Check your Music Library for your song (Should download inside the associated album) and hit play.
EX: (Song I purchased that wouldn't play because of authorization, playing)
    Enjoy!

  • HT1420 I can't find the link to authorise my computer

I can't find the link to authorise my computer, please help.

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:
